adrusa: Let me narrate an anecdotal story. I bought Trojan flooded batteries about 7 or 8 years ago. I was topping it up with water from my borehole. Of the eight batteries (6V), 7 are still doing fine, i.e. I'm still running them beside my lithium bank. Because of the impressive performance of my Trojan batteries, a friend bought another set of 4 trojan batteries (12V). He was diligently topping them up with packaged distilled water. His batteries didn't last a year before he sold them off as scraps.
I went to his house one day and I saw his left over distilled water in 4 liter kegs. I brought them home to use with my batteries. But, I became fearful. If my borehole water was okay for my batteries and his own died while consuming distilled water, will it be wise to feed my batteries with the same distilled water?
Short story; the distilled water is still in the kegs, unused and my batteries have continued to drink borehole water. Never used distilled water on them for one day!
Like me stopped using distilled water on my 8 mercury tubular batteries more than 3 years ago and only 1 is showing signs of deterioration. Been using water from my well to top up my batteries. These are batteries bought about 6 years ago from Frankie and still firing that my plans for replacement with lithium was extended further until the lithium products are tested by current users and the wheat is separated from the chaff . Honestly my mecury tubular batteries have stood the test of time and to think I bought years back at 53k each . Don't have any regrets

Egun goodday not really a fan of tall stanchion stands to get water pressure on a duplex can one do an average height stand and use a booster pump? If a booster pump is used on an overhead tank must there always be an electric source for it to work or can it worl independently of the booster pump? Thanks
IgiveFreebies: Being a hater of Transsion devices (Infinix, Tecno, Itel) due to its numerous problems, I decided to use Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus. My o my! That phone was sweet! Sleek to the hand, great camera and what have you. Mhen! I loved that phone. Due to how good it was, many of my classmates joined the Redmi club. Then my beloved Redmi was stolen where I went to play volleyball. I wanted to get another Redmi device preferably note 8 or note 9 but I was going through a rough patch so I opted for the Umidigi A7 pro 4/64 with 4500mAH battery. I got it for 41900 on jumia. It was delivered one week later. On powering the phone it was unnecessarily hot at the top. I had to take out my 64GB memory card to see if it will be better and that helped. So no more using the memory card slot. Next is the battery problem. I used to use my Redmi 5 plus with 3900mAH for one full day with heavy usage (just browsing majorly and no games) but this Umidigi A7 pro will hardly last 4 hours constant use browsing the net. Powerbank have now become a major accessory. I would've condoned the battery issue since I'm always with power bank and my area is not bad with power supply, But the hanging, lagging and freezing of apps arrg! I can't use two apps at once. Just Google chrome and the phone will just freeze. I've forgotten what multitasking feels like I thought my own device was defective but I've met a boy using A7s and it's the same story. I'm really disappointed with this crap of a device. Is there anyone else using this same device? What is your experience?

lived all my.life in lagos till.2014.Abuja since then...but thinking about Jos. I'm 36, IT professional n married with 2 kids...wife not really working. i currently work in an ingo that also gas field offices includin Jos...but my salary isnt that interesting to make me that comfortable in abuja considering the bills on my neck. we stay in a 1BR apartment in one of the villages (chika precisely) in abuja and pays abt 370 yearly.
ive visited Jos more than 5 times and i keep loving it more in each visit...Rayfield and surroundings to be precise...calm, weather friendly, fresh n affordable food, my salary wud get me a comfortable 2BR flat... navigation to/from abuja is jst 4hrs..so i feel i can apply for a relocation to our field office in jos..or at worst work from abuja and travel weekends.
i dont intend living anywhere outside Jos south/Rayfield environs
as a family man...i find it most suitable to relocate there..most esp for the sanity n good environment for my children's growth -stressfree of going to school in abuja, the hot sun, bad electricity, havin to wake up to fan my.kids at night (ofcos i have Generator)..i stay in a noisy compound that dosnt befit me..many fake foods n fruits in abuja, ..i wonder if its the same Nigeria...but Jos looks like a greener pasture for me. waduyu think??

spyder880: I think I like the first design, its not as beautiful as the second design but will be very easy to maintain, repaint and even add new features as the years go by.
That second design looks very busy, and therefore might need more care for maintenance than the first.
So from the suggestions I was given online, i decided to give him some time. But, he's not appreciating my efforts. This is almost the 8th weeks since he collected the loan. A loan he promised to return in 2 weeks time.
Although he gave me the go ahead to sell his laptop, but the amount that he fixed is way above the offers I've been getting. And him on the other hand is just feeling reluctant. As a matter of fact, he doesn't take my calls again. Whenever he managed to take my call, he will just keep mute. He won't say anything.
From the content of his laptop, He's into internet fraud. As a matter of fact, he used a strange number to chat me up and when i view his whatsapp details, i was shocked that he used my name as his whatsapp name (Mind you, my name is very strange. It's not popular at all. Both the spelling etc and i know his real name from the transfer i made to his account). But i overlooked it because all I'm after is my money.
Now the problem is that i have been transferred to Abuja and i will be living latest on Tuesday. And i just need my money. Please please, i need your advice. Should i sell the laptop or what? Even the amount the he fixed for the laptop is unrealistic. It's too high. I believe he purposely did that. Please i need your advice. Almost 8th weeks now... Instead of 2 weeks.

Bosun You do not seem to be a fan of external wall tiles or burnt bricks in your builds. I don't think I can recall any of your builds or designs that incorporated tiles. Just curious if there is Any particular reason for that?

About 3 years ago I met this lady. A student of a popular school in Abeokuta. Studying a medical science course. I saw her everyday at her mother's shop where I ate in Lagos . She was usually cheerful and friendly. I took to liking her and I started gisting with here. That was how I knew she was a student and she was around on break.
Fast forward to 2 months later we were already dating. The holidays met with ASUU strike so we had more time to spend with each other. Eventually strike was called off and I even took her to shoprite to shop for back to school stuffs.
During this period her folks noticed we were very close and when she told her mom I got her "back to school gifts" the woman thanked me but she got suspicious though she didn't show it.
Her father too usually came around in the evenings and because I now frequented the restaurant for lunch and dinner, and sometimes stayed back to watch football matches which brought I and the dad closer, the man developed strong likening to me too.
Eventually she left for school and I now more of a family friend was always around their restaurant after work. I even forgot I could cook. We talked from morning till night on phone. Sometimes I'd be online with her while at their shop. She'd even be listening to her folks talking while we gisted cos she loved attention.
One day she asked me to come visit her in school, due to the distance we arranged I'd spend the weekend with her so I packed my backpack litely and went visiting the first time. She had a roommate though they had separate beds. At first I felt uneasy but she made me understand is alright cos her roommate too had a guy that comes around from time to time. Well I eventually relaxed and vibed we with her roomie.
All along we never shared more than kiss because according to her she was still a virgin and would like to keep it that way so I never bothered her. So when I visited it was same thing as usual. I left on Sunday.
The next semester she invited me again but due to work I didn't hv much time, she nagged and nagged until I was able to get another free weekend and I went to see her again. When I got home I called her twice she didn't take my calls so I felt she could be charging the phone. So I called back late at night she still didn't take the calls after several rings so I called her room mate to call her attention to her phone.

I got really confused cos I left her happy so I asked her to put her fone on speaker so my girl could hear me. I started calling her all the pet names i know thinking it was probably my departure that broke her down emotionally.
She eventually came around or so I thought, and we agreed I should visit her more often.
By this time we have really made much progress in the relationship. I had gotten her engaged, awaiting her final papers so we could start on the marriage plans. I was much closer to the family now.
So 3 weeks later I went to visit her again. I noticed she was a bit withdrawn and being a very sensitive person I knew something was amiss so I started prodding her. I noticed she had so much bottled up but I didn't know what it was. Since she wouldn't talk I gave her some space and she cooked, after we ate I started asking her what the matter was. She eventually opened up :
Remember I dashed her my phone when I visited her last? It happened that I forgot to log out of my Facebook account so she had access to my mails and chats. She read everything. Funny enough the last chat between me and any girl on Facebook was TWO YEARS BEFORE I MET Her. She opened up and told me that this was why she refused to take my calls the last time I left. To make her happy I stepped out to get a bottle of Eva wine. When I got back she'd had her bath and arranged the room cos her roommate went home for a week. We drank the wine I bought and after drinking she told me to sit down and answer her questions.
Again she asked me what I have with her roommate, at that point I almost lost my cool but I just remained calm. I told her once again that I'd rather die than to cheat on her with anyone. If not that her roommate is her friend I wouldn't talk to her on the road talk more to have anything to do with her. Well I knew she was still nursing so much anger on her mind so I was being very careful.
When I returned from buy the wine I noticed she was on her nightie. In the 2 years we dated and all the while I've visited her she never wore that when I was around. She'd wear non revealing clothes so why would she wear nightie this night? Well I kept my cool.
After we had the wine we cuddled up on the bed and was gisting. She started making moves on me and I asked her if she was sure of that? She said yes. Shebbi na wetin make all the girls no won commot eye for ur body. The way she said it was so cold that I felt fear creep on my spine. I told her yet again I was sorry but non of that happened in her Era.

Asphalt is cheaper and quicker to install than stamped concrete. Both has lower maintenance but asphalt, when it’s well maintained, is less prone to cracking than concrete.
I’ll do asphalt flooring instead of stamped concrete. It’s cheaper to maintain asphalt.

UWLC. please between stamped concrete and asphalt/bitumen flooring which is a better choice for the internal flooring all factors being considered and not cash is not an issue. Kindly advise
