I had the same vehicle 2008 red Acura, I drove it without issues for 2years until my mech forgot to replace the oil filter properly after service and the engine almost knocked, I was adviced to change the engine and my mechanic offered to split the bill but I declined because he was honest about his mistake, my cousin was interested in the vehicle, dashed her for 250k and she bought a tokunbo engine and vehicle runs fine till date.

@op immediately you saw the over a million bill, you should have just bought a tokunbo engine and all these will be history.

@radautos couldn't fix it and they are afraid of coming out to say this.

My experience has been as follows:

1. Buy a personal top grade obd II scanner
2. Scan for the codes
3. Google the codes for likely solutions and parts
4. GOOGLE SOME MORE
5. Get a kazeem and direct him based on your scan and Google results

It would save you the option of falling in to a money pit trap

Unfortunately from experience you may not achieve the result. Just imagine the fcc commissioner has his family members,political associates children,friends children, etc with limited spots so he would have no reason to give you a slot when you cannot add to his circle of influence. Response on WhatsApp is a good start but most likely once you state your true intentions you may not get another response. Anyway all the best

Do not call or text him directly as he has hundreds if not thousands of applicants bombarding him for jobs. Get to know a prominent personality that knows him personally or respects him to make the contact on your behalf. Cold calling him would be your worst mistake.

Preliminary inspection this morning shows the following:

1) Blue smoke from the exhaust. Maybe it's early to say if it will continue or stop. I Will check this again and make a video if it continues.
2) Lights on the dashboard. Including the "check engine" light.
3) "Low oil level" warning light still pings.
4) For some reason the technician did not replace that plastic thingy used to protect the battery terminals from touching the body of the vehicle. Had to work on that myself this morning because there was a spark.
5) I hear some strange noise under the vehicle. At the back. I suspect it may be that the spare tire is loose.
6) Heard some strange noise from the engine this morning when I started the vehicle but that has since stopped.

That's the status this morning. I will check again this afternoon and update.

DGs of most juicy fg Agencies are very selective in honouring recommendation letters. For eg, NDDC chairman will never honour such letters from house member in committee of Agriculture. I would suggest you find out the committee the Honourable member belongs to and then pursue those ones.

Correct for most agencies and parastatals the supervisory minister will be most effective. Recommendation letter will only work where the senator or reps is recognized if you know what I mean and it will still require follow up and negotiation
