amnps:They have bumped it to #10,000, bundled with 20gb. |
ColeworldMD:It's written on the back of your iPhone. |
ColeworldMD:A1530 and A1457 are the only variants of iPhone 5s that support band 7. Which one do you own? |
pheesayor:You are right. They need to have flexible plans. It's not everyone that needs unlimited. On the long run, they'll lose out completely if they continue with those 3 data plans only. |
OBAGADAFFI:Like i told you in the past, your lack of understanding of how these things work is your problem. ntel, just like Smile and Spectranet, is a 4G LTE Only network. That is, it doesn't support any other network type like 3G or 2G. That is why you may have to force it on LTE Only mode. Same applies to Smile too, and most likely Spectranet also. I've never used Spectranet, so i wouldn't know for sure. But that's how Smile works too on phone. You claimed ntel doesn't work on Htc One M8, but i have personally used it on both htc one m8 and m9, so obviously, you are the one doing something wrong. |
Indeed, these are epic finishing. He deserves worse even. |
sugarboiz:Yes, the Huawei E5573s-606 from Spectranet does. |
Horlaarsco:Well, that's the problem. E5372 doesn't support LTE band 28. |
AroOkigbo:From what i understand, it's practically impossible to unlock those Qualcomm Mifis. Only Smile and Franklin, who is the OEM of the Mifi can help unlock it. You may have to write Franklin. |
vanbonattel:Stop saying rubbish. Electricity is very stable in most parts of Kaduna. That doesn't mean it's the same everywhere. |
JohnieWalker:It's same in most of Abuja. Though it's quite terrible in some other places, like Minna, bida, and my hometown, Okene. |
ColeworldMD:Yeah, i am. |
ColeworldMD:Alright, I will. |
Dam5reey:Exactly. That's the one i intend to get. |
frebor:okay. I was hoping for a 606. |
shedy03:On mtn, there is nothing like 4G or 3G data. All their plans work across board. |
Dam5reey:Since i moved in to my new place in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, i stopped subscribing to mtn data due to bad coverage problem. But when i found out they had deployed LTE, I've since swapped my sim for an lte enabled one. Though 4G coverage is still terrible, i get one to two bars in my house, but mostly one bar. Even at that, it's been very fast. Trust me, the days of slow, frustrating net connection has come to an end. I'm still trying to get a compatible mifi for Glo LTE, so as to see how it performs. |
Dam5reey:Speed tests do consume a whole lot of data. By the way, what's your location? |
shedy03:They know there is strong competition now, and so they have devised better strategy at getting ahead. Take, for instance, their 4G mifi. MTN is selling its Huawei E5573s mifi at #10,000 naira, but Glo and Spectranet are both selling theirs at #25,000 naira. But people are expected to always patronize ingenious companies at the detriment of their pocket, especially in these hard times. That is stupid. MTN is also running a promo that allows its customers to get 100% bonus of their data bundle when they subscribe on a new device, or a device that the bonus hasn't been awarded, for six months. |
Horlaarsco:Have you swapped your sim for a 4G one? What is your location? Which mifi device are you using? |
frebor:Which of the Huawei e5573s-*** variant is that? I mean, complete the asterisks. |
lexrichy:Cool. It seems you have a cell site near you. |
AroOkigbo:Glo 4G mifi, according to its website, is 25k, and comes with 60gb valid for 30 days. I doubt Smile mifi supports band 28. By the way, have you been able to unlock your Smile mifi? |
lexrichy:Using which device and how many signal bars? |
ColeworldMD, the problem with MTN LTE is that it's deployed in most places using band 7 (2600), and band 7 doesn't travel far and has low in-building penetration. It's mostly in Lagos where Visaphone-MTN LTE was tested that you would find the presence of band 20(800). Band 20, on the other hand, travels far and penetrates walls better. But even at that, I've been quite impressed with MTN LTE, even though the reception is nothing to write home about in my location. Now Glo, on the other hand, uses band 28(700), which travels even farther and has way better in-building penetration, albeit uncommon in most LTE Devices. By the way, do you have a Huawei E5573s-606 for sale, or you know anyone who wants to sell theirs, or anywhere i can get it for a reasonable price? |
tumababa:Nice one. |
tumababa:I understand Apple integrates LTE networks with OS updates on iPhones. But have you personally used Glo 4G LTE on your iPhone? if so, how is the experience so far? |
