Clearly, there is no conspiracy by the APC to run a one party system as alleged by the pained wailers.
Two APC senators weren't only disqualified, APC itself is also disqualified from participating in the by-election. One of those senators, Ohiare, represents Kogi central, which is my senatorial zone. |

kahal29: You ve been following this case, pls kindly tell me your honest take on this whole issue? Do you agree with APC on this? As an Ebira man, i'm happy that we are on the verge of producing a governor after 16 years into the fourth republic. But, as an upright man, i believe the decision as to whom should succeed Audu, should have been left for the supreme court to make, since both the constitution and the electoral Act never envisaged this situation. Therefore, Inec and the AGF shouldn't have reached a decision on their own. |

kozmokaz: Let's look at this questions: 1. Taking into consideration the security situation in the Northeast particularly terrorism, wiill the president allow the minister of defence to travel out of the country for anything now. 2. Given the power situation in the country today, does it make sense for the minister of power to turn his desk upside down to for anything now? So if PHB is the minister of petroleum, and given what the country is going through "in the hand of that ministry" I don't expect PMB to find solace in another country all in the name of attending a meeting. Can't the VP represent him to enable him show show how serious he is to attend to Nigeria's problem. It's just my feel on this matter I don't know where you are, but here in Abuja, there is no more scarcity of fuel. You can ask anyone who lives in Abuja. |

Culture › Re: The Wodaabe Fulani In Africa, Where Women Can Marry As Many Husbands (Photos) by dustmalik(m): 2:10pm On Nov 28, 2015 |
Wodaabe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Wodaabe (Fula: Woɗaaɓe) or Bororo are a small subgroup of the Fulani ethnic group. They are traditionally nomadic cattle-herders and traders in the Sahel, with migrations stretching from southern Niger, through northern Nigeria, northeastern Cameroon, southwestern Chad, and the western region of the Central African Republic.[1] The number of Wodaabe was estimated in 2001 to be 100,000.[2][3] They are known for their beauty (both men and women), elaborate attire and rich cultural ceremonies.
The Wodaabe speak the Fula language and don't use a written language.[4] In the Fula language, woɗa means "taboo", and Woɗaaɓe means "people of the taboo". "Wodaabe" is an Anglicisation of Woɗaaɓe. [4][5][6][7] This is sometimes translated as "those who respect taboos", a reference to the Wodaabe isolation from broader Fulbe culture, and their contention that they retain "older" traditions than their Fulbe neighbors.[8] In contrast, other Fulbe as well as other ethnic groups sometimes refer to the Wodaabe as "Bororo", a sometimes pejorative name,[6] translated into English as "Cattle Fulani", and meaning "those who dwell in cattle camps".[9] By the 17th century, the Fula people across West Africa were among the first ethnic groups to embrace Islam, were often leaders of those forces which spread Islam, and have been traditionally proud of the urban, literate, and pious life with which this has been related. Both Wodaabe and other Fulbe see in the Wodaabe the echoes of an earlier pastoralist way of life, of which the Wodaabe are proud and of which urban Fulbe are sometimes critical.[6][10]
The Wodaabe culture is one of the 186 cultures of the standard cross-cultural sample used by anthropologists to compare cultural traits. |

ziccoit: Constitution allowed for substitution of candidate in case of death except before the commencement of an election. The same constitution asked the deputy to step in after the election has been validly won and something happens to the boss.
Audu died during not before the commencement of an election.
Election has not been validly won according to INEC rule and electoral guideline.
APC has won this election already. The only battle ground is the Supreme Court. That is where it would be sorted out whether the new substitute or Audu deputy is the right figure to head the government.
PDP has no case here, going to court would amount to wasting of money though that may see to development of our body of law and constitutional provisions.
Nigeria will be great again. You are very correct. The law, as of today, allows substitution of candidate in case of death, but only before the commencement of an election, not after a conclusive election. But, in this case, we have an already on-going election, just not conclusive. So, in truth, whatever decision the APC arrives at, can be challenged at the courts. There is simply no logical way to determine who succeeds Audu between Faleke and Yahya Bello. We'll have to rely on the wisdom of the courts to do the right thing. |
