You forgot to add that the embassy normally does not open on public holidays. I wouldn't risk a trip to the embassy when a national holiday has been declared in Nigeria. Appointment or not.

Oga, it would not be detrimental, but the payslips form a smaller part of the proof of financial eligibility test.......
Agreed sir, that was the point I was trying to make.

Would not work........

Self accessed financial account for 2018/2019, is a MUST.......... Along with a host of other financial documents(which must be dated within 12 months) ........
Chairman, are you suggesting that including the payslips will be detrimental to the application?

Lexusgs430:
Would not work with payslips, submitting payslips would be tantamount to application suicide......

The prerequisites for self assessment/employed, is more stringent than the PAYE route........
I believe the payslips can be included in support of the application. This will be in addition to other documents required to prove financial standing.

Thanks. I have also asked the question on spouse visa thread. Why I do ask on this thread is bc some people in this thread passed through the spouse visa route.. This thread is active and has bin very helpful to me than the spouse thread. I hadly get much responses from spouse thread. Most people that have gotten spouse visa are not active again on the thread.
OK.
If you follow the UKVI/UKBA guides and instructions, you won't go wrong. I know it can be confusing a times but I'd say when in doubt, adopt the literal meaning of the instruction or guidance.
If what she has is what is currently in force, then she doesn't have to wait till the next tax year. I believe she has payslips so that should be included.
Have you left now? All the best.

A new fast-track visa route will be created for foreign scientists coming to the UK as part of a shake-up of immigration rules to boost the science sector, the Prime Minister has announced.

Unveiling the plans on a visit to the Culham Science Centre in Oxfordshire on Thursday, Boris Johnson said he wanted to ensure the country’s immigration system attracted “the very best minds from around the world”.

The Home Office and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy have been instructed by the Prime Minister to work with the scientific community to develop the new visa route, which the Government hopes to launch later this year.

Britain has a proud history of innovation, with home-grown inventions spanning from the humble bicycle to the lightbulb

Boris Johnson
The proposals come after the Wellcome Trust, a leading charity and medical research institute, warned the Prime Minister that a no-deal Brexit threatened the science sector.

Mr Johnson said: “Britain has a proud history of innovation, with home-grown inventions spanning from the humble bicycle to the lightbulb.

“We were home to the world’s first national DNA database, we discovered graphene, and our cutting-edge scientists should be proud to follow in the footsteps of titans like Ada Lovelace and Nobel Laureates Francis Crick and Peter Higgs.

“But to ensure we continue to lead the way in the advancement of knowledge, we have to not only support the talent that we already have here, but also ensure our immigration system attracts the very best minds from around the world.”

Meanwhile, there's also a debate on not toeing an infamous path as Ms Fiona Onasanya, the former MP Peterbrough who together with her brother lied to the police on driving offence which landed the brother in prison and she eventually lost the by election in her constituency and of course her status as MP and struck off as solicitor too

She did not lose the by election as she did not contest. The seat was still won by her party - the Labour Party. She has also been struck off as a solicitor.

They should come to East London (Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Stepney Green and Mile end and see wonders). Too many properties, some of them council flats used for this business. Most of them are Asians and making a killing. I do Airbnb almost every week day and must confess it's a life saver.

Adamu Adamu is a renowned journalist/writer. His weekly column "Definations in Humour" in the defunct New Nigerian newspaper was a masterpiece and always a delight to read. Maybe you are of the indomie/Pampers generation, that's why you never heard of this wordsmith. Incidentally, this Bauchi state- born man has produced one of his kind, hopefully, as his daughter just graduated from American university of Nigeria with a first class degree in English. Both father and daughter are masters of the English language - what a family!
He was also a columnist with daily trust. I used to enjoy reading their columns especially those of Sam Nda-Isaiah and Idang Alibi. Unfortunately kids don't like to read these days. One of the ways I learnt good English was reading newspapers although some stories were filled with grammatical blunders but it was a delight to point them out.
NB: I didn't like New Nigerian because of the colour and it didn't seem to have much diverse content.
