For me personally, I don't really have much problems with the IMN so long as their activities is restricted to the North. (mind you, Abuja is not part of the NORTH here)
This statement is tantamount to telling a child to remove his hand from a hole (because he could get bitten by snakes or scorpions), and the child says "don't worry, it's only my left hand".

Honestly that guy does not deserve to be on that list. He has done absolutely nothing in the FCT.

Thanks! I read somewhere I wouldn't be needing it to board. Please have you been in a similar situation before?
They just need to confirm you were in the country legally (a Nigerian citizen, since you do not have a visa)

You need a Nigerian Passport. I guess the old one will do but not sure. If it is the e-passport, I guess it will be sufficient.

Marriage in absentia can be done only for traditional marriage not church or court bc of exchange of vows and signatures. If I do marriage in absentia how can we defend the pictures we previously took
Someone asked if your wife stated she was married in her own ILR application because that one too is something else.

Many thanks Dustydee. That is what we are contemplating doing. Honestly we regret this lie we told. We are either contemplating we do marry visa, a friend also mentioned to my wife instead of marriage visa, we can do fiancé visa which I am still making research.

UK Embassy does not accept church wedding, they only accept court marriage certificate for spouse visa as I learnt.

I will definitely not overstay. I am coming bk to Nigeria by God grace soonest.
I did not do court wedding. Court and church wedding are essentially the same in Nigeria. They both carry the same weight so doing the two is more or less repetition (I found that out when I was preparing to marry).

Hello good people of nairaland . I am new to this forum, it is through search to my problem I got this forum. I and my wife is confused and in big dilemma right now. We need advice and suggestions what we can do to solve the problem we are in right now. We never knew that this problem will come up like this and never knew that my wife will get idenfite leave this soonest. We lost hope on it. lawyers are charging us alot to solve the problem. (£1400)My wife is based in the UK. In 2013 she came to Nigeria we got married in court and did small traditional marriage .Then my wife spent three weeks bf she left UK and promise to fille spouse visa for me but my wife was refused indenfite leave two times in 2015&2017. I got frustrated staying alone ,so my family was contemplating calling off the marriage bc they need grand kids and me too need to settle down. I was also refused visiting visa twice bf I got married. So I re-applied again for visiting visa this May 2019 through an agent and the agent advice that I put single in the application instead of married. The reason the agent put single is that he said that home office will denied my visa application if I write that my wife stays in the UK and homeoffice will refuse it bc they might think I will not like to come bk again. So I agree to what the agent said, we put single. I got the visiting visa and travel around June. And also I and my wife deceided that I will not come bk bc my wife av been trying to conceive. My wife put in for her papers again, To the glory of God my wife was given Indenfite leave just yesterday .But the problem now is that i wrote I was single in my visiting visa application. Please house can my wife still apply for spouse visa for me using our previous court marriage certificate? Will the visa be denied bc of saying I was single in my visiting visa application? If my wife explain to ECO in cover letter will they give me spouse visa? Should I come back to Nigeria and apply for marriage visa, so that we can remarry again in the UK and then I go bk to Nigeria and the spouse visa will be filled? We spoke to my wife lawyer she said we can apply for spouse visa but need to explain all in cover letter to ECO why I decided to put single in my visiting visa application. Please I need suggestions and advise from the house. I and my wife are in serious dilemma. Please I will appreciate advice to this situation or suggestions on what can be done. Or is there any body that have lied in visa application and apologize and got visa? I really need to be with my wife so that we can start making babes. Thanks you.
For me the easiest thing will be to marry her again. You mentioned you have done traditional and court wedding, then go back and do church or mosque if you belong to any of those faiths. Whatever you do, do not over stay because UK does not joke with overstayers, not even spouses.

I have heard some financial experts describe PCP as the most wicked financing scheme available. It doesn't make much sense to me. I would rather have equity in the car.
Look at it this way. You must pay for the lost value of the car and then other costs including interest and profit for the provider. If a car is worth 20k and loses about 3k as soon as you drive out then that 3k will be passed to you and if it depreciates to 10k at the end of the contract, you would most likely have paid about 15k. The company can go ahead and sell the car for 10k and leave you with nothing, all your money gone like that. Not even deposit money for another car.

She's not... We didn't have maid before.. We just employed this maid because she just gave birth and we just relocated few months ago....our plan is when the baby is old enough, the maid will go.. The maid's work is limited
You employed a child to take care of your child? That is also child abuse, you know? That was your first mistake. I believe the age of the girl has something to do with it.

If cash, what exchange rate will they use?
Thank you.

The excercise is organized by the government not the association. I think you're supporting evil.
Why should the government organise such an event? Don't they offer normal passport services at the embassy? Can't people go to the embassy to renew their passports without going through that association? If that is indeed the case then it is wrong but I don't it is the case.
Travel › Re: Breaking News: by dustydee: 10:57am On Jul 11, 2019
They probably organised the visit and using the opportunity to recoup their cost and also increase their membership base. This happens around the world where the Nigerian association organises such visits. If the government had an effective system in place, all these will not be necessary. But I do not see anything illegal with what you have described. I believe it is a choice whether to use their services or go directly to the embassy.

Thank you for your kind words. The truth is my wife is not panicking but she will soon put to birth in Maybe a two months or three months time. I have been praying fervently for this cup to pass me by. I have a property that I have put for sale now. I pray I see a buyer soon. And I just bought it of recent. I had intended to keep and develop it that was why I wanted to sell my car and invest the money in my business before it got burnt. As it is now, my business is not up and running now
Is the car not insured? The insurance company should pay you.

Tier 2 Dependent visa
Pictures not necessary. Birth certificate (children) or marriage certificate (Spouse) will do. If you have a joint account, that may also be included but it is not necessary. Just add documents listed in the application guidance page.

Good Afternoon Abini

I urgently need the following information from you.

1. Did you upload your wedding pics on TLS Contact or you sent them to Sheffield?

2. If you uploaded on TLS, do you mind telling me how you did it?

3. In the area of communication, what did you used, Skype, WhatsApp or text messages?

4. If it was WhatsApp, did you screenshot the chats? if no, do you mind telling me how you were able to solve it

5. Did you screenshot your call log or you got same via your network provider?
Why would you need all these? What type of visa are you applying for? The UK visa process is fairly straight forward. Just provide the necessary documents thy have requested and perhaps a few more to support your case but I don't think attaching pictures is necessary.

He was very much aware and refused to do anything.
Do not feel bad. You haven't done wrong. It is better to speak up than suffer in silence. Your uncle knew your predicament but did not intervene and you took the matter in your own hands.
What type of international company allows bullying of employees, the day Nigerian workers will stand up for themselves and stop taking rubbish from employers then perhaps the workforce will be more respected. Never accept bullying from your boss, document it and stand against it. If you are sacked seek for redress or move on.

Perhaps both of you should get married first since at the moment you are the one that married her.

Career › Re: NNPC Or A First Generation Bank? by dustydee: 10:18pm On Jun 27, 2019
tosindami:
I'm very confused right now.

I'm presently undergoing training as a graduate trainee in one of the first-generation banks in Nigeria. I resumed not too long ago, and it's gonna span for three months, after which I'd be fully absorbed into the bank as a core staff. The training school is in Lagos, and you dare not seek permission, as it will not be granted. You even risk getting sent off if you arrive the training school 10 minutes late.

Just yesterday, I received an email from NNPC stating that I've been shortlisted for an interview (Graduate Trainee) slated to hold in Abuja next week.

I really don't know what to do, as I risk losing both if I attend the interview with NNPC without an express permission from the bank.

N.B: Both are graduate trainee roles.

I'm mystified right now. I hope to get plausible answers from my ogas here..
Do you think they will sack all of you?
You either take the risk and see that NNPC process to conclusion or live with the regret of wondering what would have happened if you attended. the fact that you got a job with that bank means you are employable. If they decide to sack you at least you tried something better and who knows you may be successful.
i'll advise that you go for the interview.
All the best.

I went to renew mine yesterday and it was surprisingly smooth process. Thanks to the glass breaker.

The only thing you have to do now is go to the post office and buy a self address special delivery envelope for £7.40. This is after you have completed the online forms and paid 130 dollars. After completing the online form and you are validated. You will will get a date to go and do data capture.
Did they ask for the national identity number? Was the 10yr passport available?
