repogirl: lol, so let's look at this with common simple sense.... Before they built the houses, they did not calculate how much the houses would be sold for?
They just went and built and later realised that it turned into 17 million naira houses? Lol? The more I think of it, the funnier it gets!
You can choose to be blind to it but a large chunk of that money disappeared and we all know where it disappeared into. Common sense? You still haven't told me how this translates to stealing. They may not have properly evaluated the final cost of the house and how affordable it will be for the beneficiaries, that I agree but no evidence as at yet to suggest that the money was stolen. The houses were built and no one suggested that the the amount spent in building the houses was inflated. |

repogirl: Question for the gods...as if you don't know how it is done!
Whether they did not know how much the houses will cost before they went to be building overpriced 17million naira houses! I don't know how it's done and the writer did not suggest that money was stolen. What I gathered from the story was that the houses built were not low cost houses that the pensioners could afford. I am often careful not to jump to conclusions. |
Politics › Re: Kwankwaso Spent N4.1billion Pension Fund To Build Houses Pensioners Can’t Afford by dustydee: 11:27am On Oct 26, 2015 |
repogirl: Lol, they just jump to go and build houses.....
Now they have used style to settle their pockets wueth these poor pensioners money. Now they can't receive their entitlements, neither can they afford the houses!
And their brother claims to be fighting corruption, he won't see this one oooo, na south south dia eye dey chook go.

Does it mean that their salary will be higher than that of their compatriots? I thought it is about service to the nation and ability to serve effectively. Having said that, I believe in somewhat equitable (it cannot be equitable no matter how hard we try) distribution of appointments. So far it seems the North east has been most favoured with the appointments with the South East least favoured. |

Ordinary9jaGuy: 2. You are not of d white race so u don't need counselling over sumfin dat happened to u. U lived thru it and the only person dat can help u is U and also a really true friend dat won't use ur emotional predicament to his\her advantage. (The heart of man is desperately wicked so says the bible... Even when ur at d point of death they still want to use u to their gain) Hi, this position is very wrong. Abuse, especially of a child has profound effects on the subject and has nothing to do with race. Some people may be strong willed but it still has an effect on them. I am matured now, did not go through what she went through, consider myself to have a strong personality but only recently have I been able to link my past experiences to some of my current past actions/behaviors. A counselor would have been of help to me. People do things in our society that we do not bother investigate why they did it as we either attribute it to the devil, fate or chance. So please if you find someone in a similar situation, please advise them to seek help. Thank you. |

Most of the contract staff engaged by NNPC that I know are not required by the corporation. Most were hired by their relatives, family friends or boyfriends/girlfriends. I expect a clearout of all non essential contract staff. Having said that, all their entitlements including salaries and allowances (which I doubt most have writing in their contracts - i.e those that have a contract) should be settled. |

nitrogen: Hmmmmm, so these guys actually go to work three (half) days in a week which is equivalent to 1.5 days (less than 20 hours per week because 6 times 3 is equal to 18)............haaaaaaaaaaa, and they get paid millions of naira every month (or betterstill every 18*4=72 hours). And the most part of the population do an average of 12 hour per day with a monthly pay of less than 200k Some even work on weekends.........
This is not good o, this is not good o, not too cool o........
No wonder people die to become senators in Naija, imagine closing a session on thursday, and travelling out to Dubai the same day, then come back on tuesday morning to resume the 72 hours per month job.
It is well!
NB. Maybe my assertions are wrong, please correct me o....... They perform other oversight functions like committee sittings. |
