If the professor shares the same opinion with you, I think he should resign on moral grounds.

You can't help but feel for this man. I bet he wishes he hadn't left Buhari. He would have been in Garba Shehu's position now.

Do you mind sharing why you quit? What was your notice period?

That's petty in my opinion. As long as he does his job well I see no reason why he shouldn't preside.

Exactly my point, using or not using generator will not solve the national power problem.

Did I suggest that that was what his tweet meant?

in other words, he is telling fashola to fix our electrity so that nigerians including fashola will not use generators as a means of generating power. He shud hit the ground running
This is different from my understanding of his tweet. He wants him to feel the "pain" of power outage by not using generator for a month. That doesn't make sense to me because he may not even need a generator in the first place (depending on where he lives as a minister).

On a serious note, if the plan is replicated in Nigeria, it will create employment and improve taxi service. I pray the new transport minister encourage Uber to implement something similar in Nigeria.
Celebrities › Re: I Can’t Figure Out Why The Poor Have More Children- Charly Boy by dustydee: 4:23pm On Nov 11, 2015
Probably because some poor people have a lot of time on their hands and their only means of relaxation/recreation(no pun intended) is sex which often results in children.
Business › Re: CBN Gives Customers BVN Reprieve by dustydee: 8:14am On Nov 11, 2015
How is this a reprieve? The BVN is an ongoing exercise and the CBN has said that time and again. Reading the headline made me think they had lifted the restriction on accounts for a while longer - very misleading title.

So because they refused to give you money they are no honorable? What do they teach in schools these days?

Do they understand governance at all? Won't the payment system and procedure be put in place before commencement of payment? Did the APC give a timeline for the implementation? If they implement it on the 28th of May 2019, they would have fulfilled their promise so PDP take a chill pill.

As i was walking sluggishly home today after job hunting, i stumbled upon this church programme.
I couldn't help but to take a picture so that i can show my nairaland family in order to get ur view on this. Certain things came into my mind as i took the shot.

1. Are people no longer afraid of the military

I just wish military personels visit that church on the day of the programme come kane d pastor for pulpit in feont of full church.
God abeg forgive the earth. The world is imploding religiously.
Why should civilians be afraid of the military? That's a wrong question to ask. We are in a democracy.

Total angles in a circle = 360
Number of sides = 12
X = 360 ÷ 12
X = 30
Therefore,angle x is equals 30 degrees.
I agree, the only angle marked out on the image is 30 degrees. I do not know which "x" the others are solving for other than what is indicated.

The army went about arresting people indiscriminately without evidence or trial. Remember the story of the young undergraduate that was detained for about 2 years before he was released without charge. I feel for some of the innocent detainees. Sadly they will not be compensated.
Politics › Re: NLC, TUC In Kogi Begin Strike Over Buhari's Withholding Of Bailout Fund by dustydee: 11:14pm On Nov 01, 2015
Mynd44:
This is the same thing President Jonathan did close to the Ekiti and Osun elections. The cut down the allowance of the states and also held some of the money due to them hence they could not pay their workers or allow the government function properly.

It was even alleged that Governor Aregbesola has to take soft loans from Lagos and Rivers to offset worker's salary when the elections came close can Rivers or Akwa Ibom loan Kogi some cash? I can't say

Governor Idris Wada is going into an election in 21 days while owing workers between 2-8 months salaries. This means there are a lot of people who are angry at him and will possibly not vote for him because of that hence he is boxed in.

This is an unfortunate type of politics we are playing in Nigeria as the workers are the ones that suffer for it but then again, the question has to be asked that why has Kogi not been able to find other ways to finance the state?

Audu might look like the underdogs in the November 21st elections but no. Governor Idris Wada is really the underdog.
Plausible but may not be the reason. Niger State for example used her allocation to fund the election early this year and luckily they lost. Politicians can be very wicked. There's no guarantee that they'll use the money wisely.
Christianity Etc › Re: Sacrilegious: Why I Was Demoted As A Pastor! by dustydee: 11:08pm On Nov 01, 2015
Freegift75:
This is a true life story

My immediate siblings are twin brothers, same mother and father. November 5, they will mark their 39yrs of age. Taiwo and Kehinde happily married and lived comfortably.

Taiwo married a banker while Kehinde married University non-academic staff. They are both devoted christians and they both live in same town.

About a year ago, we lost Taiwo in a fatal accident and left a surviving wife as widow and three kids. Six months later, as their senior brother and the breadwinner of the whole family, I summoned Kehinde to re-marry Taiwo's wife to continue playing the role of husband.

Kehinde and Taiwo's wife agreed to marry each other but Kehinde's wife kicked against the union. Kehinde only has one child and since 8yrs now nothing more.

Kehinde's wife got provoked, lashed me with demeaning words and thereby reported me to our Church senior pastor at the headquarters and I was demoted for involving in sacrilegious belief.

It's a shock today again to have received a letter from the headquarters that I'm no more needed as pastor in their ministry due to this same issue.

This is a ministry that I had spent a lot towards its growth. The land our branch was built on was bought by me alone.

Now, what is my offence?
Why didn't you offer to marry her?
