Good news for Amaechi, it means he doesn't have to go for screening after Tuesday next week and the president can swear him in. Some of these lawmakers don't know what they are doing.

Whatever the manager tells the CEO, the CEO effects. I need this job i am fed up and tired of joblessness. I cant leave this job now. Please if you have experience this before advise me on what to do and how you came out of this tragedy.
What if you sleep with him and he still goes ahead and give the CEO a negative feedback? Or what if after you sleep with him he tells his colleagues and possibly the CEO to try their luck with you using similar tactics?

Politics › Kachikwu Sanctions NNPC Staff Over Scandalous Project Exposed By PREMIUM TIMES by dustydee(op): 8:12pm On Oct 11, 2015
Few days after PREMIUM TIMES exposed how crooked officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, stole billions of naira using an enterprise resource solution meant for accountability, the head of the corporation on Thursday wielded the big stick, suspending the official at the centre of the scandal indefinitely.

Authoritative sources said the recently appointed Group General Manager, SAP/IT Department, Surajdeen Afolabi, whose unit is in charge of the controversial SAP project, was asked to immediately proceed on indefinite suspension.
Mr. Afolabi had been in charge of the project since 2007 when it was originally conceived as a plank of the then Olusegun Obasanjo administration’s reform agenda in the oil and gas industry.
The suspension order issued by the Group Managing Director, Ibe Kachikwu, is to allow for unfettered review and investigation into the project implementation, PREMIUM TIMES understands.
The recently recruited head of the seven-member SAP Team, Inuwa Danladi, appointed General Manager, ITD/SAP of NNPC, was directed to take charge till further notice.

Late President Musa Yar’adua had on February 16, 2009, approved $36.75 million for the completion of the entire project meant to monitor real-time NNPC operations and its network of subsidiaries and affiliates irrespective of their locations.

Successive NNPC managements exploited the loopholes in the project, and fleeced the corporation of billions.

A February 2015 implementation review report by the Corporate Audit Department of the NNPC titled: “Review of SAP Implementation Project,” exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, revealed how the deployment of the SAP solution turned a specimen of monumental fraud.

By January 2015, the report said the SAP ERP implementation gulped almost double the total amount approved for the deployment of the solution in all NNPC’s 18 subsidiaries, affiliates and strategic business units.

The report said the implementation of the project, which had 86 weeks completion time-line, had dragged for more than three years, despite gulping over $70 million – almost double the original contract sum – with nothing to show.

“There seems to be a disconnect between the business units (users of different SAP solutions) and the SAP PMO as per the completeness of deployment and usability of the solution,” the report stated.

“While SAP PMO considers SAP program as having been completed and closed, most business units are still grappling with challenges, ranging from incomplete deployment, lack of integration amongst modules and usability,” it added.

IT experts familiar with the workings of the SAP system globally said it is usually deployed once, and run globally through an integrated network linking all SBUs, irrespective of location, the managers of the system in NNPC were hawking them piecemeal to all subsidiaries for personal gains.

The review report had said that, so far only five of NNPC’s subsidiaries have the system functional, and without integration with the other subsidiaries and affiliates.

On assumption of office, the NNPC GMD, had on several occasions, expressed outrage, frustration and disappointment over the implementation of the project.

During a meeting with NNPC’s top management officials late September, the GMD reportedly observed that despite the huge investment in the SAP project, it remained more of a drainpipe than a solution to anti-corruption campaign in the organisation.

A spokesperson for the NNPC, Ohi Alegbe, could not be immediately reached for comments for this story.

Travel › Re: How I Wasted 35 Years Of My Life In America-nigerian Back From The State by dustydee: 2:01pm On Oct 11, 2015
yhemsy62:
“Canada was a culture shock, but I quickly blended into its mainstream culture, focused on my future and education. Four years after my arrival at this university, I earned my first degree in chemistry. I was hired by a biochemical company during my last year at the university. The employment changed my world. I met this charming American beauty. She was a researcher, but loved partying more than researching. She saw me as a handsome gentleman with a seductive and sexy exotic accent. The attraction for each other was steamy. We began casual dating that blossomed and four months later, it grew into a serious affair. She invited me to return with her to America. She helped process the US work authorisation. Jebose, I couldn’t resist moving to the US with who I considered then as the love of my life. We eventually got engaged… Her name was Deborah.

“We settled as a couple in America. I got a transfer from the Canadian firm to the US and Deborah also found a job. Life seemed great for the next three years until I returned home one day in the early spring of the 90s and discovered that Deborah had moved out. She left a note that she was moving across town with a 22-year-old plumber. I was devastated. I never recovered from that heartbreak.

“After my fiancée eloped with our apartment handyman, I began to live vicariously in America and I seriously didn’t know how times flew and left me behind, consoling myself with bottles of vodka every day. My careless and irresponsible lifestyle manifested in my daily work and behaviour. I would ooze alcohol at work. The company provided me with therapy for substance abuse and alcoholism dependence. It didn’t work. I didn’t care. The company had to let me go after my work authorisation expired. I came to America   seeking a fulfilled dream, but I ended up as a poster child for American immigrant nightmare.

“My father died in 1996. I felt a lot of guilt from his death. I went into serious depression. My mother died two years later and my world collapsed. I did not come home for their funerals. Those that I shared life and dreams with were slowly departing from my life. A part of me left with these close family members. My life distanced from my birth place. I was ashamed of returning to Port Harcourt as a loser, years after I travelled overseas for best life opportunities.

“I turned to alcohol to numb the pains and disappointments of living in America and losing my parents. I became a heavy alcoholic, secretly engaging in the ‘recreation’ whenever I had the opportunity. I became homeless and avoided few Nigerian friends that I had met in the early years when I came to this place. The Rivers State community in my city heard of my circumstance and began an engagement with me. Few years ago, I had stroke. I am diabetic. I was also diagnosed with heart disease. These illnesses were the effects of unstable lifestyle in America. I had nothing. I went to the Baptist Church every day for my meals, then roamed the city endlessly, carrying my trash bag that contained dirty clothes and, always, a bottle of vodka to sip at any city park. I got donated clothes from the rescue mission or the Salvation Army. The Urban Ministries also provided me with free medical health for my sickness.

“During my stay at the hospital for stroke treatment, friends from Rivers State visited me and began to encourage me to consider returning home. It was a difficult decision: a home I left more than 30 years earlier. I had never visited. One of my statesmen contacted my sister and she encouraged me to return, promising to take care of me. I was still ill. I needed regular medications to treat diabetes and heart problems. I got these meds free in America. I began to think seriously of going back home. I was not getting any younger. I was in my late 50s and I must close this chapter of my life. After I came out of physical therapy, I took an offer from Rivers State; it promised to pay for my flight ticket to return to Nigeria. Today, I live happily with my sister in our village near Port Harcourt. I am serving the Lord and praising his worthiness for this new life. Alcoholism and homelessness are past experiences. I feel a healing power in me as every day is an adventure here in my village.
You did not become a drug addict because you went to America but because you couldn't handle the pressure and the situation you found yourself in. It could have happened to you anywhere in the world if you found yourself in the same situation and reacting in a similar fashion.
Family › Re: After Yrs Of Marriage, she And Her Ex-boyfriend Still Secretly Communicate.advice by dustydee: 8:16am On Oct 11, 2015
ryut:
I have asked her after the marriage and on many other occasions when i started observing such communications if she and the man made any 'covenant'. she said no.What actually annoyed me most since two days ago till now was first,i can recall vividly after the marriage i started noticing such to the extent that i have to call the man on phone then and explain to him the need to stop these communications since she is now married, the man was sounding harsh and said that 'i will still see',till today i don't know what he mean by that statement, when i then changed her sim card.I sat my wife down severally times that ex boy or girl communication in marriage destroys marriage, that there is no gain on it and that the very time we got married,i and my ex cut off permanently that till date neither she nor i didnt call each other and dont even know where any of us are,not that if she or i want to trace the contact of each other that we wont find it,but it does more harm than good in marriage.Recently when i saw their whatspp chat and what they are chatting there and phone communication,i cautioned her that i have been warning her about this her ex and she still keep on communicating him, that i dont want to see such again unless she will pack her things and go and stay with the man,or go back to his family house. The irony of it is that she is even the one that initiates communications-both on chat and phone call.I deleted the man number from her phone. But,I was shocked still seeing her calling the man few days ago and the man also calls her. That means they have still been communicating since then in my absence only that i happen by chance see this one.
Secondly, last time, there is one man still from their side as well,(pls i dont want to mention what happened),but i have to pick her phone and told her in my presence to send an sms to this man and told him"that she is cutting off the communication between them and whatever whatever",she text it and sent and i deleted the man number.Surprisingly, after like two weeks,i noticed that she called the man.She has to go the extent of sourcing for the man number again and give him a call. That day,not knowing that i knew that she called him,i asked her, since that time i told you to cut off the communication with that man, have you ever for one day called him again,She said "NOOOO,how can she do that, somebody she stopped communicating since then even the number was deleted that day and she doesnt have his number again".She lied and lied.I was so upset and nearly ran mad, when i then brought her phone and asked her who has this number and this call-the number was not saved with any name, she kept quiet and say, eeehmm,it was the man that called her,i told her that she is a liar and i opened the call log and showed her the outgoing call log she first made to the man, before the man later called her back.i was so annoyed, yet i let it go.
So the two above made me to even as i am typing this text,i am still very angry since day before yesterday, that after all my caution and warning to her having caught her by chance, she still ignore my warning and secretly communicating and thats what pained me most and i cant bear this again.
I am curious to know why you deleted the numbers from her phone because deleting it doesn't mean she doesn't have the number in her head or diary. I still remember my ex's number even though I haven't spoken to her in a long time.

Well I believe Nigeria has more to lose if Iheanacho decides to retire.. Why not just give him the captain band?

I rate Musa higher than Mikel as well, but we are discussing why he became the captain in a controversial way that seems to be tearing the team apart already.

I still maintain that Oliseh should have had a private chat with Enyeama.
Please understand that I don't blame Musa in all this mess.. Its not his fault that he was made the captain.
I was referring to your comment about expelling Enyeama and Mikel from the team. My point is Mikel retiring from national duties wouldn't affect the team.
Sports › Re: Ahmed Musa's Political Appointment As Super Eagles Captain. by dustydee: 4:28pm On Oct 09, 2015
ZUBY77:
Dedication is not on my top 3 reasons to chose a team leader.
You must also consider the respects Musa commands in the team. Seniority is another one and communication comes third.
Garba Lawal was the most dedicated member of SE during his time. In fact he never missed a national call but the white coaches never looked his way when it came to captain bands.

Unless Oliseh plans to expel the likes of Mikel and Enyeama, I still believe he goofed big time.
I agree with the three criteria you listed but dedication is also an important factor. Nigeria has nothing to lose if Mikel decides to retire, the same cannot be said of Enyeama. As far as our National team is concerned, Enyeama is more valuable than Mikel. I even rate Ahmed Musa higher than Mikel as of today.
Sports › Re: Ahmed Musa's Political Appointment As Super Eagles Captain. by dustydee:
ZUBY77:
In as much as I agree that you have some valid points, Mikel Arteta was almost the oldest player in Arsenal when he arrived. Wenger also likes his captains to come from Midfield. Can we safely say that it played a role in his Choice as Captain. In our own case, Mikel despite being there before Musa, is also older than him. And he plays in the midfield where most coaches want their captain to come from.
What again is the motive behind Musa's choice?

Uhm I don't think I remember anybody Making RVP Manchester United Captain on permanent basis.
I would have thought coaches preferred defenders as captains. The question is what is the criterion for choosing a captain and why was Musa chosen? Oliseh said he chose Musa because of his dedication to the team and you cannot argue about Musa's dedication to the team. Until recently, Musa, Osaze and Enyeama were the most dedicated (to me).
Sports › Re: Ahmed Musa's Political Appointment As Super Eagles Captain. by dustydee: 3:30pm On Oct 09, 2015
ZUBY77:
I am not really into creating sports threads but Sunday Oliseh caught me unawares with this one.
This can only end as a doom for him because Nigerians love those who make them happy.

We have discussed the issue of the fallout with Enyeama and all I can say is that 99% of Nigerians felt Oliseh should have discussed with Enyeama in private before stripping him of Captaincy as if he slept with another man's wife.

But what baffles me the most is why Oliseh skipped the next Senior player to hand the Captain Band to Musa.

Let's check out the profile of Mikel Obi and Ahmed Musa.

Mikel Obi was with the Super Eagles in Vilamoura Algarve Portugal in 2005, preparing for the 2006 nations cup.
He eventually made his debut in early 2006.
I know this because I visited the team at their Hotel in Portugal.
You can see that on my post here https://www.nairaland.com/1333913/there-back-time-nairaland-best/19
.....

Now Ahmed Musa came to super Eagles in 2010.
Thats more than four years later.

My question is why did Sunday Oliseh insult not only Enyeama but also Mikel by handing the captain band to Musa?

Like I do almost on every issue, I have analyzed his intentions and I believe it has something to do with being appointed in the ministry of Sports or even NFF later by the Northern leaders who just took over the country.

That's my theory, I might be wrong but I believe this appointment has a political motivation
I may not agree with Oliseh on the choice of Ahmed, but being made a captain of a football team is not based on seniority or how long you've been in the team. RvP was made a captain in Man Utd ahead of other players he met at the club. Walcott has been in Arsenal before Arteta joined. Mikel is not the kind of role model you want for a captain. He does not treat National assignments with the seriousness it deserves. If anybody deserves the captains armband in that team, it is not Mikel.

This girl in my area was hanging out with my friends and then she started bitching on me. That she hates me. I like forming. "Everytime he's dressing like an Americana and he doesn't even greet people" That, what am I even feeling like sef?

"Why is he not with you guys today? I always see him here everyday, drinking Heineken and always Laughing out Loud with y'all" She told my friends as she feigned obsessed.

The next day my friends told me about all the swearing so I saw her some days later and greeted her first. The girl is quite pretty BUT not my Speck. I don't do 'yellow paw-paw'. I started the conversation this way:
"Halo swit, my name's Ashman. You' so beautiful"
The young girl started laughing. Every word I said was countered with laughter.
"Are you laughing at me?"
She stopped, whipped her face. Looked straight into my eyes and said:

"I'm laughing because you don't even know how long I've been trying to get your attention" whew!!! I was flattered. For once in my life I felt like the Emperor of Rome. BUT one thing was sure, I can't date this girl. No NEVER.
We exchanged contacts and it's barely two weeks, she walked up to me and handed a parcel to me. "I got this for you"

I got home and opened it this morning. I swear, I saw a brand new Swatch wrist watch; Original Malizia Perfume and a foreign Pee-Jay. That girl must have spent an estimate of 30k. Right now I feel perplexed. I really don't need such gifts from a girl I can NEVER date. I mean NEVER and I also wouldn't want to be indebted to her.

'I know this kinda girls. If they fall in love, e don be for you na. They will remain in your life like Mount Zion that can never be moved. Love go taya you na'

A top recruitment agency was recruiting for the bank at enugu. I arrived at the venue very early and sat in a small room with the few persons that had arrived, after a while people trickled in until the room was filled and the seats fully occupied, people had to stay outside, when the time for the interview was upon us, one of the officials of the recruitment agency came and addressed us about the importance of marketing to the bank, our careers, and to us as young people ( we didn't apply for marketing position, they didn't inform us on the role we would be interviewed for nor the name of the bank). The very funny stuff was that the job seekers were all in suit, sweating profusely, but none could muster the courage to put on the ceiling fan, when I asked the man closest to the switch to do so, he simply replied, "o boy u no get leg to waka go put am"

The interview.

This was my first interview, so I was a little nervous but excited, I had nothing to lose, they either accept me or reject me, I told myself people go to war and they don't shit their pants, I was just going to face a human not a tiger and have a constructive talk with the person. Names where been called, I didn't want to seat, I stood outside the room with some very nervous ladies and gents and they really appeared nerve wrecked, jittering and scared, I decided that I would not appear frightened, and that was the mistake I made..
It got to my turn, I walked into the office and faced my nemesis, my interviewer sparked

" MR Man who told you to enter in the first place, you are supposed to stand in the doorway until I give you permission to enter"

I apologized immediately and was asked to sit and then hand my cv over.

The first question, "mr man, what is your name" Sir my name is Ambrose ochuko

"Tell me about yourself"

I had practiced this question numerous times, so I was really eloquent. He laughed after I was done, and said " oboy you cram this thing". No sir I didn't, I had prepared myself for this question and the likes sir, I prepared myself for the interview Sir..

So you said you were the best in your class right? Yes sir I replied.

"What course?" International studies and diplomacy sir,

He laughed again, "you have entered my trap because I would ask you difficult questions and you are expected to give me the correct not near correct answers.

Tell me about the foreign policy of obasanjos government in 2000."

Sir, nigeria during the regime of general sani abacha from 1993 to 1998 was regarded as a pariah state, obasanjo tried to reintroduce nigeria as a responsible member of the global committee of nations and....

"stop there, you are speaking Grammer for me, what is pariah, eh..".
