Wsdm: Obassanjo was the first to flaunt a political arrangement with the North but he handled it with maturity made the game different.
You know that respect is reciprocal. GEJ started receiving all these bashing from Nigerians when he started talking any how to our faces;
* I don't give a damn.
* The bulk of the votes i got fro from the North are from the igbos residing there.
* The militants are not the one that Threw the bomb in eagle square, they are my people and i know what they can do.
* Boko Haram have infiltrated my cabinet and latter came out to say they are ghost and he can't dialogue with ghosts.
* He started employing people of questionable characters, Okupe been the worst of them.
A lot of things like that.
This was when the real insults and disrespect started coming in like wild storm.
Add to those kinds of unguarded statements:

* how he, a whole president, was calling opposition governors "rascals" as he landed on their soil, even without him being provoked.

* the scenario that his madam is even more uncouth...

... and a picture emerges of a person who can be easily disliked by most not in his pocket.

And to think one has not even brought nto this yet, relevant aspects of his poot executive style, and bad or lack of performance in office...

Hmn... Are you saying in your view Gowon did not honor Aburi, therefore Jonathan needs not honor his own agreement? Or that "the gentleman agreement reached at Aburi" was of no consequence?

chukwudi44: Zikky I am not showing politics of hatred.I am merely poiting out facts.
Unfortunately for you, once you put yourself out there the way you've done this far, it is no longer for you to determine how others should see you. These others can make up their minds by themselves, and they have determined that you're a hate megaphone.

Please deal with it.

Of course, you can always play the "I don't give a darn" card, and that, also, will be your prerogative.

Tusky44: You have just spoken like a true onibanje. Very vocal and senseless yet all the wives (prevalent in southwest) of the foolish onibanje would tremble at his loud mouth.

Just wait until the private power companies start giving us light and all average Nigerian happy to retain GEJ. Your type may be forced to drink dangerous tea or better still eat otapims. That way we have one less buffoonery to deal with.
So you think the main criterion for winning elections at the center in Nigeria is how an incumbent has performed?

I don't think so.

Especially now that the politics of subzones (even below that of the so-called geopolitical zones,) has taken over, and battle lines have been drawn, President Jonathan and his side, should fear the worst.

In any case, some groups have shown, more than others, that they're more adept at forging winning alliances. This is as opposed to chest beating.

Besides, the real impact of the beneficial aspects of the privatisation of the electric power sector will not be felt until way after 2015, by my humble estimate. And that is assuming the commitment to make the laudable project work, gets even more intense going forward.

All this noise that electric power supply is "improving" across the nation, is just that - propaganda...at least to most of us in the real world, with our feet on the ground.

I live in Lekki.

Remember, that as things stand, the official estimate is that the country needs about 45,000MW to attain a stable power supply state? That we're currently generating less than 3,000 of that at peak? That most of that is via dilapidated equipment, transmission lines, and other aspects of required infrastructure?

Put together, those expecting to make political capital out of this project - particularly before a date as soon as 2015 - are probably just over-reaching. They may end up putting their own back against the wall.

duwdu: BB "Unlimited" Weekly (??mb)- =N=525; Dial *440*17# OR Send bbuw to 440.
BB "Complete" Weekly (50mb) - =N=350; Dial *440*20# OR Send bbcw to 440.

Bravoosii: Appreciate it bro. Please for the Unlimited weekly, are you saying you don't know the data cap, cos I'm not sure what you meant by the (??). Thanks
dmcdad: That is what he meant...
@dmcdad is correct.

But... I later saw, elsewhere here on another thread, that "??" is 400mb. However, I didn't see that figure on Airtel's site the last time I checked and wrote down what I eventually posted earlier. Also, I've not used that particular plan before myself, so please use the figure at your own risk. I mean that Your Miles May Vary. YMMV. smiley

Good luck.

walex1991: Please does anyone have an idea on hw 2 Root infinix surfsmart android fone.
The good news: Yes, I do; and I did it... Man, is it sweet to have root on the phone! Real freedom, if you now ask me.

The bad news: The process is very involving (and all the usual suspects just can't do it,) so much so, that I honestly can't start re-inventing its wheel here.

The best way I think to point the way to root your Surf Smart X350, following my own experience, is to ask you to go to the xda-developers website. Once there, search for "How to root the latest unrootable MT6575/77/89 devices" or words and figures along that line, then take it from there.

Btw, I started by figuring out that the X350 is an Mtk 6575 device. I hope you're comfortable enough with this level of knowledge, to be able to proceed.

These French designers, Chinese manufacturers, and unpopular devices....Oh!

Good luck.

@Jeffy1206;

Sincerely, all you need to do is change the word "All" to "Tweakware's," and the word "Has" to "Have" in the title of your thread, and you're golden.

Please, for the sake of other readers of the board, just do these essentially minor changes to reflect the actual message you meant to convey, and let this matter go. Please.

shortgun: Chei, just look how dumb people can be angry
The man did not say that MTN has lost 50% of its subscribers.

What he's saying is that, MTN has 49% of all customers who has ported, he only gave a percentage not any known figure.

It simply means that if a total of 100 subscribers ported, 49 ported from MTN.
This is correct.

In any case, about 50% of total subscribers are on the MTN network; so it stands to reason that about the same percentage of those porting will also be linked with the MTN network.

One can also deduce that, percentage wise, numbers porting away from other networks with smaller subscriber bases may actually be higher.

Thanks, OP, for the heads up.

I've been waiting on the gadget as a possible alt to the Xperia Z/HTC-One. It could also serve to "hold belé," pending when the Z Ultra as well would settle "down in price," as they say.

What may seal the deal to get the E6, for me, willl be a very favourable price point for it, particularly since it's not dust & water resistant ~ that is, not IP57/8 certified?

And I'm following this thread, of course.

Sealeddeal: I have downloaded the Droid VPN and change the UDPort to 500. And still could not browse. Its requesting that i register with them. And am i supposed to be browsing using the Droid program?
You'll have to do as they said - register with them first. Use another/regular connection to do it. You will need the username & password you will get during the process of registration, to launch & connect with droidVPN (to their servers.)

ewizard1: But I use DroidVPN on the Samsung Galaxy Tab2, I didnt install tun.ko undecided
The tun.ko module for your device must have been downloaded/enabled without you being aware. A device such as your SGS2 is so popular and common, that the process of enabling its tun.ko module is probably already automated, or embedded.

[For the avoidance of doubt, I have - and have handled other's - 4.0 devices for which tun.ko modules have not yet been built, & that therefore cannot successfully launch droidVPN (or even OpenVPN completely, for that matter.) Which is another hat for popular, mainstream devices, me thinks.]

Lemme know if I'm wrong.
The part of your statement (concerning 4.0 & above & rooting,) is correct.

However, at this point, tun.ko IS required no matter the Android flavor concerned.
