A young Ghanaian man, identified as Otu, has reportedly sued his ex-girlfriend, Mercy Agyei, alleging that she refused to marry him despite him sponsoring her university education.

The story began six years ago in Kumasi, in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, where Otu proposed marriage to Mercy and took on the responsibility of financing her university education.

According to the man, he went beyond financing Mercy’s education, as he also started a business for her mother and fulfilled various financial commitments during the course of their relationship.

As the romance progressed, Otu followed the advice of Mercy’s mother and relocated her to Tema.

In Tema, Otu continued to support Mercy financially, covering the expenses of her Higher National Diploma (HND) program at the Accra Technical University (ATU) and her subsequent degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Otu’s financial assistance didn’t end with education; he claims to have supported Mercy’s younger brother and facilitated accommodation for her mother.

The relationship took an unexpected turn when Mercy, after securing a job at a bank in Ghana, decided to end their relationship.

Feeling betrayed by the significant investments he made, Otu has taken the matter to the Kumasi Circuit Court, filing a lawsuit for GH¢350,000 (approximately N26 million).

The lawsuit alleges that Otu’s financial contributions were made under the expectation that the relationship would lead to marriage.

The legal proceedings are reportedly pending, and court sessions have been deferred until February 20, where both parties will have the opportunity to present their cases.

Our initial rating is a cautious 1.5 out of 5. However, if there's a collaboration between Spider- Man and Venom, we're a bit more optimistic, giving it a 3 out of 5.

BAD BOY 4
So, there's an untitled fourth Bad Boys film on the horizon, set to be a buddy cop action comedy directed by Adil & Bilall. Following Bad Boys for Life, it's the fourth installment in the Bad Boys series and is hitting theaters on June 14. We're not overly optimistic, giving it a 1.5 out of 5, but hey, we still can't resist catching it on the big screen. Can't pass up a chance to see those Bad Boys in action!

A Zimbabwean man has taken to social media to expose his wife of three years after discovering that she is HIV positive and has been hiding her status.

In a video shared online, the man revealed how he found out that his wife is HIV positive and has been secretly taking antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) throughout their marriage.

The distraught man mentioned that he discovered his wife’s secret while praying and received a revelation about the location where she hid her drugs in the house.

“This seat here, there is something that I want to show you which my wife has hidden for all the three years of marriage. In my prayers, God has shown me and today I’m going to expose her. I thank God that I have found this truth,” he wrote.

He further disclosed that his wife made a hole behind their couch and hid her drugs so that he wouldn’t see it. He then proceeded to remove a black nylon containing the ARVs.

“You can see this while here. She has deliberately removed this cover underneath. So I will pull it out. You can see I’m pulling it out. It’s here. you see the thing that she has hidden,” he explains before unwrapping a blue bottle of TLD (tenofovir/lamivudine/dolutegravir), an ARV regimen recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the preferred first-line treatment for adults living with HIV.

He then lamented about how much he trusted his wife and stood by her through thick and thin, only to be betrayed by her lies and deceit.

He said;
“a warning to those who want to get married. you can see the tablets here. i trusted her with all my heart and my soul. i stood with her in all her sickness and all her troubles but this is what she does to betray me. she is taking arvs and i am exposed to the disease. she doesn’t care whether i die or i live. so i’m just an object for her to use. to take me for a ride. she doesn’t care the children that i have they still need me. they’re young. i thank god for this revelation.”

Cape Town, South Africa - Ikechukwu John Anosike, senior pastor at the Spirit Revelation Ecclesia, has instructed his church members and workers that their January salary should be paid to him, not the church.

The UK and US launched targeted strikes on military facilities overnight.

Mr Sunak said the action against the Iranian-backed group, who he accuses of threatening UK ships, was in "self-defence".

In response, Houthi officials have warned the UK and US will "pay a heavy price".

The US-led strikes are the first against the Houthi militia since it started targeting international shipping in the Red Sea last year.

The Houthi movement is a political and military group which controls a large part of Yemen and says it is supporting Hamas by targeting ships heading to Israel.

More than 60 targets at 16 locations used by Houthis in Yemen were struck, the US Air Force said.

Speaking early on Friday morning, Mr Sunak accused the Houthi movement of threatening UK and international ships and causing major disruption to the trade route.

"Despite the repeated warnings from the international community, the Houthis have continued to carry out attacks in the Red Sea, including against UK and US warships just this week, " the prime minister said.

"This cannot stand. The United Kingdom will always stand up for freedom of navigation and the free flow of trade."

He added that the UK had "taken limited, necessary and proportionate action in self-defence, alongside the United States with non-operational support from the Netherlands, Canada and Bahrain".

The aim of the action was "to degrade Houthi military capabilities and protect global shipping", Mr Sunak said.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the Royal Air Force typhoons conducted two precision strikes on Houthi sites, including an airfield used to launch drones and missiles over the Red Sea and another site used to launch attack drones.

"The detailed results of the strikes are being assessed, but early indications are that the Houthis' ability to threaten merchant shipping has taken a blow," the MoD added.

Armed Forces Minister James Heappey said there were no further air strikes "immediately planned".

"We were confident that these limited, proportionate, necessary strikes that went in last night was necessary to disrupt the Houthis' ability to attack our warships that are protecting shipping in the Red Sea," he told BBC Breakfast.

Mr Heappey added it "was exclusively an act of self-defence" and that the government's legal position was "sound".

The strikes have also been backed by Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer, who was briefed by the government on Thursday night.

"Clearly the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea have to be dealt with," he told BBC Radio 5 Live's Breakfast programme, "their attacks on commercial shipping, attacks on important trade routes and putting civilian lives at risk and therefore, we do support this action".

After calling out Davido earlier and threatening to teach him a lesson for allegedly insulting his family, Teebillz eventually provided more hazy details.

The talent manager went on to say in a long Instagram post that he was waiting for the 2024 Grammy Awards to conclude before disclosing any information about the artist.

Teebillz revealed more in a now-deleted Instagram post, claiming that a father who deserts his family is a coward, which is why he has decided to defend Tiwa.

He implied that the Grammy-nominated musician had threatened to bring guys to harass Tiwa Savage and accused the DMW boss of bullying the singer for the third time.

He wrote;

“A FATHER WHO ABANDONS HIS FAMILY IS LIKE A COWARD WHO ABANDONS HIS POST IN BATTLE.

What would you do if some threatened to send boys to the Mother of your son and this is the third time he’s bullied her……… you tried respectfully to reach out and the response is Arrogance and Nonchalant pls”
