Okpuzu01: I thank all of for your contributions. For your information, before I got married, I have sisters that were married. Its not we are rich but we tried to provide for our parents so as to allow our sisters enjoy their marriages without putting burdens on them. My wife has grown up brothers who can work and support her parents. I never said I am poor. Igbo ppl said Ejiro akpata etufuo aba ogaranya. U dnt get rich by making money n throwing dem away. I personally do give my wife's parents money n gift from time to time. I know wot I have prepared to give dem dis xmas. I am nt against giving dem money bt I must discuss it with my wife. Does she know If I have enough before giving to her parents? Her father is addicted pool. All his money goes into pool. He can't take care of his responsibility a the head of the family. Wen he bought his bus, I know hw much I put into it, he sold desame bus witout informing me. I did it so that they can take the burden off my wife. I v supported her mum severally finacially in her provision shop, they will keep taking items from the shop until it became empty n they will turn again to my wife n continue to mount pressure on her for money.Pathetic. This is kind of parasitic relationship and it hurts terribly. |
Those who have not tested it might not understand, especially the unmarried ones. Unless you are very rich, you cannot afford to throw money away like that simply because you have to take care of your siblings (both sides). However, if you are independent from your husband in terms of income, then you can spend it as you like, it is your money. But if your husband is the only source, I think you really need to be careful and wise not to pull down your new home b/c of your siblings. I think there is need to understand times to build home-financially, biologically and socially. If you are not wise to understand this, you will run into trouble. OP, pls don't divorce your wife b/c of this issue. Just re-strategies and find a way to control the spending b/c if there is no money, there wont be spending. Later you will be happy that you dint divorce her. It is a momentary problem that can be solved if you rework the economics of the house. |
Capital punishment should be introduced for both armed and pen robbers. Like China, even drug pushers and corrupt govt official if caught and found guilty are killed. By this we can sanitize the society until it is no longer necessary and we go for life terms. Good story anyway especially for any student of history. |
OBJ is now regretting choosing GEJ. This is why it is important for the masses to choose their leaders and not otherwise. Some of what OBJ accused GEJ of doing like 'tenure issue', he (OBJ) also committed. Now that he's on passenger side, he can now feel the same heat that Nigerians felt when he was obstinate concerning 2nd & 3rd terms. What goes round they say comes round. For GEJ, he (GEJ) is a serious disappointment. His ineptitude seems irredeemable. And corruption has reached a crescendo like never seen before. My submission is either GEJ repents from his ways and be a good leaf or be shown out now via the legislators or later in 2015 via election. It will be such a heartbreak for Nigerians to suffer another 4years under GEJ. |
Corruption cannot fight corruption. Impunity is the order of the day. Not sure it has been this bad before. Somebody help! |
Nigeria as a nation is HELL already, and Nigeria prison is bottom-less pit! I pity the OP. |
Extra-ordinary |
The Greatest statesman ever from Africa. Unequaled and extra-ordinary human being! Kept me wondering all the time... |
Greatest man ever from Africa. |
He had made his mark by reaching the world for Christ through TBN. Welcome Home! |
Not surprised at all! |
Here we go again. Yet another threat! I think GEJ has the right to run for presidency as a Nigerian citizen only that the current electoral system is warped such that the electorates that should do the deciding appears inconsequential and helpless in the whole equation. For me, Nigeria of 21st century needs someone that can fix it irrespective of ethnicity or religion and I don't see GEJ as fitting in that role. Are we not tired of repeating the same mistake(s) again and again! |
Theresa May should at least be humane for once. There would always be another opportunity to prove your abilities. Ifa Muazu's case is getting out of control and with all the pleadings wide across Britain, Justice should be graciously tampered with mercy. I know Nigeria GOVT would not allow the private jet to Land in Nigeria. Kenya had similar experience recently and some lessons were learnt. My advise to good & well-meaning Nigerians is to please help fix Nigeria - lets get rid of violence and corruption and prepare a Nigeria of future. Irrespective of our woes, flaws and failures as a country I still believe and hope that Nigeria will one day right its wrongs and spring up to life again. It has been many years of wastes, mistakes, penury, distortion, destruction and lack of direction. Worsened by ethnicity and identity problem. Nevertheless it is not an irredeemable situation only that we have not yet made the moves. One day the fire of redemption will sweep through Nigeria and our Nation (or whatever is left of it) will come out purified and better. One love! |
Man-Goat abominable act might have happened or has the fetus all of a sudden mutated? |
Fraud and gratification is not racist and is without border. |
Nigeria education is going through terrible times, I hope it survives. |
blank: Your family needs to call a family meeting where it is documented that the bride price should be returned and the bride is also in agreement. Then you have to go to customary court to get it annulled. Usually, the court will advise you to drop it at the "groom's" local government and inform them in writing before and after you do so. Then you guys are free to go.Exactly what we did when my sister had roughly similar problem. |
Such a report that 100m Nigerians are destitute is unbelievable and out-of-this-world. It implies that 2/3 of Nigerians are destitute.According to dictionary.com Destitute means: 1.without means of subsistence; lacking food, clothing, and shelter. 2.deprived of, devoid of, or lacking (often followed by of ): destitute of children. |
Corruption cannot fight corruption. GEJ enjoys corruption so much that he sees it as not Nigeria's No-1 problem. Till 2015, the current government will continue to support corruption and it is up to Nigerians to vote him again or otherwise. Thumb up for Ghana! |
excellent |
Interesting. |
People have to be very careful...Nigeria regulatory system and standard is very poor. That's why there are so many imitations and half-baked products. |
Only God can tell which Nigerian is good it doesn't matter the tribe. |

Evil has abound on this Earth. |
All these Equality Right mantra is deceptive. There can never be equality but may be slight respect depending on who you are. India has recently caught world's attention as being unfriendly to WOMEN - lots of rape cases. And now being racist - AFRICA/BLACKPHOBIA or what? |
