weyreypey:Truth! They follow frivolities and joke a lot. Meanwhile their tormentors are having a field day looting for generations unborn. |
There is no ethnic group called Hausa-Fulani. That deception is in the past. Today, we know of distinctive ethnic groups of Hausa and another of Fulani, and both have different origins. To the matter, it is a shame that after many decades in Nigeria, we have failed to live and let others live. Poverty of sense have made us to allow religion to divide us the way it is happening in Kaduna. |
weyreypey:Oshiomole is past. What are the youths of today's Nigerian living for? Is it to remain in perpetual poverty and be begging for change? They have to rise and force change. |
It is a make belief loyalty until he gets what he wants. Snake! |
Surprisingly it only worked in Ghana via Jerry Rawlings. But the fact is civilian rule should be the ultimate when it is streamlined and everything working. Unfortunately Nigerian civilian leaders are unbelievably disappointing. Nevertheless I will not subscribe to military intervention though, but civilian intervention via protest and strikes. |
Ngige dinned with the devil and still survived. He was fearless and challenge armed policemen. He also defied the oath of Okija shrine and brought down godfatherism. And in all these political fights, he was still building solid roads. I love that Ngige of those days. I don't know if the Ngige of today is same as yesterday. |
Where is it written that the casket cost N34 m? Where is the source? And who said it's an Igbo cultural thing to always waste money during burials. Everywhere in the world, there is always a minimal cost to do burial depending on your capacity. You can't force a wealthy family not to spend lavishly in honour of their dead benefactor. You can do it differently if you're in their position but you can't force them not to. |
Your write up is a bit too long ops but I can see your pain about Nigeria's travesties. I share in your pains. Sadly in next two months it will clock 60years as a nation and it has not yet solved its basic problems. It is still a long way into the nights and I don't know how soon we will see the dawning of a new country or countries. |
A Leopard would never change its spot. We voted 'change' anyway! ![]() |
Well done Igwe. You did the right thing by retracing your path. It is not every battle one fights. In future, choose your battles carefully. |
Time shall tell Mr Vitalis Ajumbe. Why picketing Anambra as the trouble maker? Yes, today's Igbos have this 'strong head' when it comes to working together but excuse me, there were Azikiwe, Mbakwe, Okpara, etc before. How did they do it. Current crop of Igbo politicians(not all) are more of opportunistic or businessmen than visionary leaders (and same applies to other regions too). But there are still some few potential egg heads that can turn things around if they put their acts together and fully supported. Don't forget Buhari is our president today redardless of his enormous shortcomings and counting, so why do you think no one else is qualified from SE. |
Seriously? It's getting out of hand. The president is afraid of criticism? In this 21st century? |
Stupidity at highest level. The other day, it was DSS compelling a former CBN deputy governor to recant his talk on radio program about BH sponsorship. Followed by Katsina governor preferring we blame service chiefs rather than Buhari for the perpetual failure in NE. And now this unknown political group wants Borno governor to apologize to Buhari for what? I think we are in deep shit with this mentality of shielding Buhari from answering questions and taking responsibilities. In deed we are irredeemable! This is about Nigeria's survival and not about the person of Buhari. |
What's the difference? Buhari is the C-in-C and should receive the maximum blame for sticking with the same failed team of security chiefs for fives years while expecting miracles. You can't give what you don't have. Buhari seems to have run out of ideas on how to tackle this issue and still refused to bring fresh minds as service chiefs. Not until it get worst that he will change tactics. |
ThatFairGuy1:Falls within 3rd National development plan including Shagari's Green Revolution that replaced it. None were sustained! |
Eteka1:I see ![]() |
Very smart ideas, only useful to those who get sense. Unfortunately many of them lack sense. |
Ruby5:Very nice one. He realised his error and apologised and sued for peace. He should also try and return all money or gift received back to the Arthur Eze, that way he will get 100% respect. |
Rectify first the fault that causes the transformers to pack. It is human error not spiritual. |
I predicted right and he didn't disappoint. |
What else do you expect him to do after being interrogated. There is no smoke without fire. General Danjuma once made similar assertive insinuations. These elites do get reliable information from grass roots who themselves are hard up and often seek help or refuge from them. |
Can blackman ever get it right? We are too zombified to ever solve our common problems. So disappointed! |
I thought we have moved past this level of propaganda. Even many blind supporter's of old have since got their eyes opened after seeing unbelievable level of incompetencies...but it seems this writer is still in the pit. |
You rather lacked the will and sincerity to fight Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. |
Elders counting money after selling their conscience. What then do you expect from younger ones? |
Shame! Youths begging for a chance to lead. When they were running electoral errands for them and shutting off their own rights and dignities, they didn't know. Fight for your right! |
Both lai Mohammed and NBC are not fit for purpose. |
Nigeria is spinning out of control. Freedom of expression should be encouraged than stiffled. NBC please stop all these nonsense! |
Yes, in deed. F9. |
Retrospective killing! Wow! What a despot. |
The same generation that lacked principles and have no single lasting legacy to handover to the younger ones, have gone to Aso Rock in a show of shame. You are thanking Buhari for what? |
NBC should remember that this is not military regime but civilian government. The power is actually on the people not on the elected few. It is okay to respect people only if they don't abuse it. Blind respect and blind loyalty should be stopped as it gives these rapacious politicians the mind to abuse privileges. Let Nigerians speak. Don't gag their mouth. |
