Don't tell us ma, tell your husband. Only when he shrugged your warning aside, that you tell us so that we see what we can do ![]() |
ityP:Nothing is Impossible! It can be worked to life again if the lady is willing and open to it. And yes, I agree, ladies could be very pretentious. |

Such a wickedness ![]() |
Punish the whole country because of few terrible individuals esp the leaders (past and present). Nigeria needs help not a ban or restrictions! |
spendoon:You need to be specific. What exactly you don't trust Igbo about? |
It is past now! Buhari is the president. |
Restructure Nigeria! |
Too much waste in the system with these poor minds on the saddle of leadership. |
A nice try if you ask me but the fact still stares at us and the reality is overwhelming. Interesting how SE is always the reference of comparison even though they suffered terribly during the war and rebuilt themselves by self effort. When the Northern crises abates we will visit and see. |
Hang on, is there any major difference between community policing and Amotekun? Are they not similar in terms of local policing but may different organisational structure? |
He keeps on making sense beyond the thinking of average elite Northerners. Do almajiris know anything about human right? |
I still think the marriage can work if the op so decides. She need to agree first, for it to work as it appears to me she'd wanted OUT all these while? See my dear, you are not the only one on earth that had parental incursions when it comes to marriage decision but many have ALLOWED theirs to work. I dislike the idea of parents deciding on who their kids should marry, it doesn't always work well in this social media generation. From hindsight, if I were the husband I wouldn't have gone along with the marriage if I'd sensed the girl is not corporating. These are what courtship tries to check & solve. Because at the end it is two of you that will live together, not the parents or siblings. And now, with the marriage in doldrums, what is the husband thinking? Being an intelligent man as the wife alludes, how is he going on without sex for 3years and loveless wife? What efforts has he made? Who has he told about this predicament? How did they conceive their only child in the first place? Likewise the op, she wouldn't have agreed to this marriage if she doesn't like the guy. However, this your husband is not a man from nowhere, he was already your friend - depending on how you define 'friendship '. Is there anything else about him than he is not your ideal man! Look, we all had one or two near misses in our pursuit of life and perfection, but we don't dwell on it this long. If it doesn't go exactly our preferred way, we do make the best out of it and life goes on. Don't kill yourself for nothing. Your moniker says 'girlwhocares'. My dear charity begins at home. Start first by letting the past go! And start working out for the future of your family. Give your husband 'care'. If you sow 'care' to your husband, will you not reap 'care' as well and vice versa. Finally, do NOT think of divorcing your husband for the inadequacies of the past. No marriage is perfect! The fault is not his and he has endured beyond an average man can endure. You need to come down and think, put yourself in his shoes, if it is the other way round how will you feel. You are still young, and the wound of the past due to your loyalty to your parent, should go pls. Give this marriage another chance and work on letting the past go. Wipe your memory board of the past, clean up and start writing a new positive future. Positive things will start attracting itself to you. How I wish I could communicate to the man, I could give him tips to refresh this marriage and brighten it up. |
People always forget that Lagos was once a Nigeria capital city for 31years, that's about 50% time duration of Nigeria history. Lagos benefitted so much from federal govt development plan, just as Abuja is today. Secondly, Lagos strategic location bound by the Atlantic ocean, was a magnet for commerce and industry. Seaport, Refinery, Industries, manufacturing, etc Thirdly, Lagos is leveraging on its huge population to become a business and service hub in Africa. Most international businesses and services berths first in Lagos before any other place. Fourthly, security-wise, Lagos is fairly stable. The fall of Port Harcourt during militancy era become the benefit of Lagos. Most oil companies moved their operational head office to Lagos. When insecurity started in North, and subsequent bombing of UN office in Abuja, international conferences in oil and gas sector that used to hold in Abuja was moved to Lagos and since then has remained in Lagos. I can go on and on...Lagos is simply a runaway leader in Nigeria, if not West Africa as a whole. The question is, other states how are they faring, or catching up, or getting worst? Many depends on monthly allocation for survival as internally there is no creativity move themselves up. That why restructuring will be the next Big thing in Nigeria. |
hisexcellency34:Birds of a feather, they say, flock together. And 'Like' also attracts 'like'. It is natural! |
Tecno66:It is an idiomatic expression with a common denominator, 'blood'. Whether it is human blood, or animals he was referring to, one thing stands out, there would've been blood shed if 2015 election hadn't gone his way. You now use your tongue and count your teeth. He didn't meant well with that idiomatic expression. |
What a king? Lacks docorum and character. But in Nigeria anything goes as far as leadership is consigned. |
E don do Buhari. You have passed the message loud and clear. Ehmm, it's about time you open the border while keeping an eye on the 'goings' across the border to monitor compliances. |
And how did his audience react? Any meme pls. |
Oshiomole gaffed by making such an outburst obviously out of anger, but not thinking properly the consequences. Nevertheless, GMB had made worst ones in the past and nothing happened. The infamous 'dogs & baboons would be soaked in blood' and that 'any fight against Boko Haram is fight against the North'. |
Naivety and blindness is a disease! But Trump drives joy in controversies, he might like it regardless. |
Perfecttouchade:On point! |
The current dysfunctional system is unsustainable and we have all these long lived in denial but the future is stark unless we do the needful. |
Afrokan:On point! |
What a country called Nigeria! It will require deep cleaning to sanitize the dirty and offensive system. |
Reality check! |
Why? He is not competent to move Nigeria forward why not resign peacefully? |
You don't need to be lettered to understand that restructuring means going back to regional govt era of 1960s.And Buhari and APC understands this very well. |
They are too blind to see! |
bigiyaro:Yes, there is money aspect to the whole drama. |
NELLY1990:Nothing is Impossible! |
