But for me it all depends on what APC wants to do as a party not necessarily about the clamour from any particular region, even though that in itself is not bad as well. People should be allowed to air their voices regardless of how it sounds. And political parties should endeavour to define itself and stand for sth. People or groups gravitate to whichever party they like that holds their interests.

This bill could have been OK (1) if the punishment will be long sentence instead of hanging (2) if there would be more specifics on what is hate speech (3) what are the checks and controls to be put in place so that politicians would not weaponise it and use against rivals.
