Well, if you ask me I think the Kano emirate leader would have been apolitical during the election. As you can all see the power of the emir is subservient to the governor, in fact it stands only by the power of the governor and not mainly the people or King makers. And you don't bite the fingers that feed you, b/c once it manages to pull out of your teeth it will hit you back hard. When the next big thing in Nigeria, which is restructuring is being deliberated I would want governor/tradition ruler powers to be debated. |
Instead of going forward as a nation we prefer to go backwards, and how has Sharia helped people in Afghanistan and Zamfara? If Sharia is the best wouldn't all eyes have seen it. You see why Nigeria need restructuring because the way a section of the country is taking others for a ride is worrying. |
It's only on watch list when it should actually be on blacklist. |
executive12:Likely one of the reasons why Buhari hurried down to Egypt recently because Egypt and Turkey are not friends. Egypt is a strong counter power to Turkey. |
Bazamfare:My friend leave bitterness and envy alone, and embrace the good news. Every region has one good thing or other that could be emulated if we all humble ourselves. |
Is this part of what TY Danjuma know? Turkey was mentioned repeatedly, are they the "behind the scene" collaborators? |
Typical of a jungle or animal farm, where dog eats dog. Political power is indeed sweet especially when well used. I never thought a first-class emir will be tossed around like this by govt and he doesn't seem to have a way out of this quagmire. |
If all religions claimed to be peaceful, then how come there is still intolerance and hatred? |
Do they mean it? |
According to China Achebe "There was a country" |
solmusdesigns:Why rain curses on them...is it an irreversible exercise? Was it done by spirit? If it was done by human then it is fair to reverse it. Raining curses on them amount to nothing if you ask me! |
I have never seen this level of tribalism, nepotism and favouritism in government like the one in Nigeria today. If the so called beneficiaries are sound and bright and knows their onions, one would've shrugged off the temptation of calling them out, but how can you give what you don't have. Like Buhari is currently faking his own terrible inadequacies till we all sink. |
Trust none! They're all after themselves while the masses bleeds from abject poverty and lack of basic infrastructure. |
1. Was there an actual electrical fault in the residence that warranted repair, otherwise why would they let in those two evil men. 2. Why did they go all the way to kill the woman inspite of her having transferred money. Stabbed, forced her to drink acid and used pillow to strangle her. Why did they concentrate more on killing the woman than the man. 3. How were they arrested? Yes the man managed to contact his office chief security who in turn got in touch with police and then what follows... 4. How often do crime happen in this part of Ikoyi, otherwise one will conclude it is targeted assassination. Let's see what police says. |
Both have one common enemy (DSS). No one should mock the other, as the fight is to reset Nigeria to function again for the good of all tribes and not the selected. |
It's really so sad how Sowore was treated by DSS. Even the so called Port Harcourt serial killer wasn't treated like this, how much more a former presidential aspirant and an employer of labour via his Sahara outfit. Something is not right somewhere. |
kenny714433:Angels and demons is very good book and I prefer it to Da Vinci code. It is more towards nonfiction than fiction. Makes you think and query things. |
Very nice move by EFCC. Let's be serious for once to save Nigeria from dying. The political class of certain genre need to be singled out and shamed to serve as deterrent to other wanna be. |
But people were warned not to vote Buhari back considering that his first term was without focus and uninspiring but No, he is the best thing ever from Nigeria. Let's all enjoy his 2nd term. He is the special one. ![]() |
Interesting observation, there are so many hp laptops on that picture. Why hp and not any other brand? |
Feels like we are in military government and not democracy. We seem only lament and do nothing. And the rape continues... |
Aisha has started declining... from Yahaya Bello to controlling the social media...and no more faults with Buhari government. |
Can government privatise the railway transport in the form of giving franchise to consortiums or private business that can run it; that way we could be more business minded in running the railway rather than the current politised approach. |
Only two of you sabi the truth. Two of you should sit down and talk. |
What a letter? I hope they'll read it. Collections of nitwits in government is equal to... |
I will think Electric Power is the main master key as it touches all sectors and all sphere of human endeavours. Though railway will contribute significantly however it is not the master key. |
He owned up and forfeited the money even though it was extra gracie from military government in power, not that he schemed, inflated or stole directly from the cofer. By Nigeria standard I will think he is fairly OK when compared to many rogues of that era and now. So why not, unless there are other worst things from him. |
Nigerians unfortunately can't raise an eyebrow against their leaders and that's why they keep on suffering and hoping in emptiness. To ordinarily ask questions and demand sensible answers from government is a herculean task, how much more someone talking about revolution in a divided Nigeria of today. Some countries never experienced 1/5th of what we go through, but keeps their government on their toes and could sack them if they misbehave. But in Nigeria we do things so so different. No wonder it is like this. |
Immaturity on both sides if you ask me, and lack of understanding, added with ego and deceit. Both living in the past and refused to embrace the future. They collaborates in many things but not politics. All in all, the guys in the North continues to enjoy the status quo. |
iammo:I beg to disagree. No justification for crime and when caught there is always consequences. |
We have allowed impunity to fester for long in Nigeria but until we stop being parochial in our reasoning, there is no hope. |
There are amazing Nigeria rice. It all depends on the grade you bought. |
