All of them need to leave the stage for a more serious and hardworking person to lead Nigeria. Osibanjo, elrufai, Tinubu, Amechi, Tambuwal, Atiku or cabals are not what Nigeria needs in 2023 but an outsider who can steer the ship away from the current disasters of government. I think Adeshina (AfDB) or Peter Obi could turn Nigeria around, if you ask me. |
Culturally Igbos are quite distinct from Hausa and Yoruba and this kind of built them to be natural survivalists. Regardless of what faced them...somehow like a rubber they find a way to bounce back. This cultural strength made them more daring and competitive. They can tell off anyone regardless of position or accomplishment in life, even to themselves. The colonial ogas didn't find Igbos easy to conquer and dominate, due to that cultural default that abhors centralised lordship. Nevertheless, they are imperfect too especially in managing success. It enters the head, which I think also comes naturally unless you have trained self not to, but it is not fair to rub it on others face, because it will provoke envy and hatred. Maybe it is one of the reasons Igbos have not fared well in building political relationship with the west or North |
The guy is twisting it. It has nothing to do with his lack of education, after all Buhari is not too versed as well but he is currently Nigeria president. It is more of his character, personality and what he represents that's the problem. It is what made him who he is but also unfortunately is detestable regardless of how he would have wished otherwise. |
The value system in Nigeria has gone with the wings. What were the Geography students thinking when making the decision for Oluomo to be the guest speaker. Was it money or sponsorship they lacked? What do they want to learn from him in the first place? How about inviting established and successful transport companies and brands rather than someone who thrives in violence and thuggery. And if I am asked to speak in such occasion and realise that Oluomo is invited too, I will simply decline. We Must cultivate and nurture values! |
I believe Daddy Freeze's knowledge of bible is mainly for argumentative purposes. Was Judas Ischariot not among the eleven that was chosen by Christ himself and what happened to him? |
Why can't Nigeria get one of these ones to be President instead of giving advise. Will the President heed to their advise? The current president has a history of not listening or feeling the people. |
Why is a former honourable minister talking like this? |

He goofed by joining the same govt that he criticised massively. Resignation is only face saving bc the deed is done already. This was how Reuben Abati falled many people hands when he joined GEJ govt that he was lampooning left and right. Is it that critics don't have honour anymore? |
They would have closed this border even before election. I have never seen a country with such a relaxed border security as Nigeria. All sorts of elements go in and outof the border unhindered. |
If Nigerians are not happy about the increase, then what are they waiting...go and protest peacefully or suck it in silently. |
FarahAideed:Well said fella and it will happen that way bc this govt is all about propaganda and lies. |
May be it is a little bit too late. The deed is done. I had thought it was only me that was uncomfortable with the way churches was going about with demands for money. I was wondering how this relates to how Christ worked at His own time on earth. |
ImperialYoruba:Stop painting a gory pictures of Igbos with this your nonsense writeup. For your mind even Satan is an Igbo but you won't want Igbos to part way with you in peace. |
When policemen are no longer safe what then is the fate of bloody civilians? Is there an end in sight for the current security challenges? |
These are some of the things Nigerians should begin to fight for. |
And madam Oby was vilified for attending even as a private citizen as she cried out. And we were not told that there were even bigger elephants already in SA who were repenting govt. Why is APC like this? Does it mean that the diplomatic tit for tat from Nig govt was an after thought, apparently because Nigerians were bitterly unhappy with the whole situation? |
What sort of twisting of plot is this and how is it that monkey chant is the only chant that can serve this special purpose? Do they sing the same chant to whites? Lukaku should never fall for this. |
She made a terrible mistake by going there thinking she will bring this kind of excuse. She lost it and it is regretfull. |
A welcomed development. |
Game over! Why would she step her foot to SA for WEF summit when the same SA are not welcoming to her people. Terrible mistake I guess. |
Why is Reno tribalising the killings of Nigerians in SA. How does it help anyone? Not a reasonable talk at all. |
SA seems to be suffering from post apathied syndrome. A classical text book example of paying good with evil to all African Nations that helped in the fight against apathied regime. |
Nigeria should start boycotting everything SA until this injustice is addressed. Boycott the services of MTN, DSTV, Shoprite, etc, until SA govt take measures to address this calculated insanity. |
omerukokwuru:Take it easy Bros. This life is unpredictable sometimes. You never can tell. |
If he is the one in picture, somehow I like his openness in accepting the task regardless of how humbling it could be, but who knows...it could be a disguised test of a bigger position to come...I hope I am not daydreaming! |
Even the real deaf and dump know that Nigeria is in limbo. It doesn't require satire to pass the message. |
How did they assembly materials to build their houses? Was it via canals? |
A textbook example of a factor holding Nigeria backward is Quota System! It gives the less qualified undue advantage over the most qualified. What a paradox! |
For the first time someone from the North has shaken off the long drowsy feelings that all that matters in the North is being in centre of power. The ops writeup is a clarion call to all good and sane Northerners to open their eyes to see how bad the politicians and religious leaders have forced them to remain in abject poverty of mind, soul and body. You are right when you said competition would have been better than quota system. Yes, of course! Quota system builds lazy society but competition brings innovation, creativity and ideas. |
Both the Governor and State Assembly are in Tinubu's pocket. I'm sorry that's how it is in Lagos. He has a "Very Big Say" in who becomes commissioner or the two mentioned entity above go hearam during reelection. |
Since when did Falana become a turn coat, I thought he was surreptitiously supporting Buhari as per "herd" mentality of average Nigerian. It seems his eyes has opened a little bit. That man in Aso Rock is not for listening, in fact he doest give a hoot. |
