PoliticsRe: (PICTURE) APC Legislator Caught Contesting In Two States by easrael(f): 5:11pm On Mar 11, 2015
Gunnerson:
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has drawn attention to the manner the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu redeploys political candidates across the states of the federation at the wave of the hand.
Oke Umurhohwo, the Social Media aide to the senatorial candidate of the PDP in Lagos West, Segun Adewale (a. k. a. Aeroland), said the way Tinubu imposed Hon. Olamilekan Adeola Solomon (alias Yayi) on the district was condemnable.
Umurhohwo, drew attention to the fact that Tinubu may be trying to permanently put the state under the purview of his family.
“There are three senatorial districts in Lagos and Tinubu’s family members are jostling for two of those,” Umurhohwo said in a statement, Thursday.
“It is on record that Hon. Adeola married from Tinubu’s family. We are also aware that Tinubu’s wife is the incumbent senator for Lagos Central. Are there no other candidates the APC can come up with. Why must they be from Tinubu’s family?”
The year 2014 was filled with different political scenes which included political migrations ranging from cross-carpeting between parties to cross carpeting between states; one of which was very significant, glaring and amazing to say the least. It was the political migration that occurred between Lagos and Ogun states, and involving Hon. Adeola who is the incumbent Chairman, House committee on Public Accounts.
The man, who married from Tinubu’s family, migrated from being a Lagos based politician representing Alimosho Federal Constituency in the National Assembly to Ogun State where he was rejected by APC elders.
The people of Ogun West Senatorial District said they rejected Adeola because he has never sponsored any bill in the house despite chairing of a House Committee.
They also said the Adeola-led House Committee failed woefully, citing his failure to probe the alleged missing funds involving the NNPC and the federation account by his committee which has dealt a big blow on his legislative career.
Reports say Adeola was also rejected by Governor Ibikunle Amosun who feared Tinubu wanted to use the Adeola to disrupt the APC structure in the state.
After his rejection in Ogun state, for the above reasons as revealed to our correspondent by a member of Governor Ibikunle Amosun's cabinet who pleaded anonymity, the quest to wield power was increased and he sought resort in the Lagos West Senatorial District.
This resolution was made after he failed to get the Ogun West ticket to his party. Investigations revealed that party chieftains of the APC are not happy with the development and has resolved to work against him at the polls after they were edged out of the race to grab the party's ticket schematically.
Efforts to reach the APC for comments on the alarm raised by the PDP proved abortive.
This has left Lagosians wondering if Adeola Solomon is truly the politician who has the love of the Lagosians in mind or just has his personal interest and those of his godfather

PoliticsOsun Workers Protest Non-payment Of Five Months Salaries with PICS by easrael(op):
Civil servants in Osun State trooped out on Tuesday and staged a public protest against the alleged non-payment of five months salaries by the state government.

The workers, who were led by the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress in the state, Mr. Olatunji Akinyemi, marched through the Osogbo/Gbongan Road chanting anti-government songs.

The workers said apart from the failure of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola-led administration to pay them the outstanding salaries, the same government had refused to remit pension deducted from their previous salaries to various retirement savings accounts.

They claimed that the governor was busy spending the state’s resources on campaigns of the All Progressives Congress and left workers to suffer untold hardship.

The TUC chairman, who spoke in an interview with our correspondent said workers who were due for promotion since 2013 had been denied their rights adding that the government had not shown that the workers meant anything to his administration.

He said, “We are out on the streets today to protest the non-payment of our salaries. The government is owing us five months.

“Apart from the salaries, the loan repayment deductions, pension deductions and union dues deducted from our salaries were stopped were not remitted to the appropriate quarters.

“The workers say no to non payment of our salaries, we say no to illegal withholding of fund deducted from our salaries. The government has refused to pay its part of workers’ pension, the ones deducted from our salaries were not remitted.”

He said that no worker could go on retirement now with this situation because they would suffer if they tried it.

One of the workers, who identified herself as Kemi, told our correspondent that she and many of her colleagues trekked an average of six kilometers everyday to and from their places of work.

Despite going through this suffering, she added that they have not been paid a dime since October 2014.

The media aide to the governor, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, promised to send the position of his principal on the protest. He was yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.

I'm so sorry I came back late.....I had serious internet issues and here is my analysis. On the first two pictures: That picture has the exact megapixels that it had while the picture was taken and that therefore means there has been no form of manipulation on the photos. On the second photo of one man with a gun, It clearly was manipulated really didn't detect the tool used but it was even done very poorly that it didn't take 5mins to fish out all the pixel addition and removal. Now according to the forensic analysis, That first picture is certified true while the second one is false, stupidly edited and declared VOID!!!

"There are a number of issues that are critical to elections like security which is not under the control of INEC"
"I was invited to brief the Council of State on INEC's preparedness for 2015 elections"
"The summary of my presentation to the COS is that INEC is substantially ready to conduct elections"
"In addition, in the delivery of election materials, INEC has made delivery to the states"
"INEC is capable of delivering free and fair elections"
"However, as I mentioned earlier, there are other factors to conduct while planning elections like security"
"I'll like to reiterate here that INEC is an Electoral Mgt Body and not a security agency"
"In consideration of the advice by the security agencies, it will be unconscionable to have elections without adequate security"
"The security agencies reiterated that they will be concentrating their attention to the insurgency and may not be able to play its traditional role in providing security during the elections"
"The questions from stakeholders has been:1) should INEC proceed with the elections despite consultations with the security agencies" "..2) take into consideration the concerns and reschedule the date of elections"
"INEC not being a security agency and concern for the staff and observers during elections, INEC cannot guarantee protection"
"Under this circumstances, few EMBs will proceed with elections after the security consultations"
"Consequently the Comm has rescheduled the elections, Pres, Sen and HOA has been moved to Mar 28 while Gov and SOA has been rescheduled to April 11th"
"We in INEC promise to deliver free, fair and credible elections"

*primary to secondary school Education is free in all govt schools in Osun
*School uniforms are produced by local contractors(economically empowering indigenes), downed and GIVEN FREE TO PUPILS AND STUDENTS.(all govt sec school in Osun now use the same free uniforms, and they are lovely to behold-especially the senior sec own)
*All students for Jss3 to Ss3 are given one opon-imo(nice educational tablet with all their textbooks and educational text materials embeded in it). EACH STUDENTS TAB IS PROGRAMMED WITH THEIR NAME ON IT, SO IT WOULD NOT BE STOLEN BY ANOTHER STUDENT.
*Before the opon IMO program started, they students have free textbooks, but can't be taken home. We the teachers/copers use it for and with them. English and Maths basically were available in all schools.
The misbehavior of some students in due to their genes that they carry. It is not the govt that thought them those behaviors.

PoliticsRe: Segun Adewale Allegedly Fires Shots Into APC Campaign Office by easrael(f): 11:33pm On Feb 01, 2015
We are responding to the propaganda trending in the media of
Honourable Olamilekan Adeola Solomon of APC that his office
was attacked this evening with gun shots fired by Honourable
Segun Adewale as false and slight on our principal to score
cheap political points because they know we are gaining
grounds in our campaign to clinch the Lagos West Senatorial
position.
We have seen pictures been circulated on social media claiming
our campaign group unleashed mayhem on his campaign office
which we dare say are malicious and a well prepared script
written by Olamilekan Adeola Iyayi to misrepresent Honourable
Segun Adewale.
The truthful account is as follows; our campaign team was
returning from a massive and peaceful rally we held from
Ajeromi Ifelodun to Ikeja where our convoy passing through
Adeniyi Jones Ikeja was attacked with several gun shots fired
by Honourable Olamilekan Solomon's supporters and security
people. It was the vehicle of Honourable Segun Adewale that
was attacked and our security team led by the Nigerian Police
Force gallantly shielded his vehicle from the attackers and the
shots fired at him to ensure his safety.
Several shots were fired by his supporters at our vehicle which
several were damaged but we never retaliated. The supposed
picture been circulated on Social media we dare to say that the
vehicle does not belong to Olamilekan Adeola Iyayi and neither
was parked at his office. Why can't the full picture of the vehicle
been show with the number plate?
Nonetheless our team of security men led by the Nigerian Police
Force details were able to avert a major attempt on the life of
Honourable Segun Adewale. The news been circulated in social
media is quite deeming of the person of the calibre of
Honourable Olamilekan Adeola Solomon whom we believe is a
distinguished gentleman but has shown how he lacks decorum
and decency and also how desperate he is to win the elections
by going the way of malicious and inciting propaganda.
We have filed a detailed report of the incident to the Divisional
Police Headquarters in Ikeja and investigation has commenced
and we will see to it that justice prevails on this matter.
This is the third time we would be attacked by his supporters
as some days ago, our campaign office in Iyana Ipaja was also
attacked by thugs working for Honourable Olamilekan Adeola
Solomon.
We would like to reiterate for all to know that Honourable Segun
Adewale abhors violence in any way or of any kind and frowns
at such with all passion.
We would like to say also say to our supporters at this point
not to engage in any form of reprisal on this ugly incident but
rather to seek peace that we are known for.
Also, Honourable Segun Adewale is safe and well and we give
thanks to God as the attempt on his life failed.
In the words of Martin Luther King Jr. “We must forever conduct
our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must
not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical
violence.”

NYSC6 Safety Tips For Corp Members During This Election by easrael(op):
Gentlemen corp members, I know.many of you will be going for the INEC screening soon and its pertinent that I give you these tips that'll not be given to you by the INEC and NYSC officials.

1. If you don't use an internet enabled phone, Buy sufficient airtime on your phone and ensure you keep your phone charged at all point in time.

2. Always look out for the escape route at every assembly you find yourself at this period; RAC center, Collation center, Polling Unit or wherever.

3. Endeavor to look for the Head of DSS and Police numbers in your LGA( This can be gotten from your orientation booklet or your LGI) and save the their numbers on your speed dial list and 2 and 3 with your parents/guardian having the 4 and 5 speed dial.

4. Stay ALERT both mentally, physically and spiritually, There's no useless information, signal, signage or signpost at this point in time. and know the basics of the host language; know things like: where is the nearest police station, kill him, carry him, stab him and some other emergency/alert lines.

5. NEVER attempt to rig in favor of any party whether APC/LP/AP/NCP/UPN/SDP/AD or any other party that might rig because it can result in mob action that can take your life.

Bonus Point: Northern Corp members should please Note that if you observe too much hostility before the election in your area, DON'T PARTAKE; you spent much more money than what INEC would pay to train yourself in school. 2011 stories still abound.

Bonus Point Two: Immediately you finish reading this, pass it on because you will be saving lives. We must all learn from what happened to people in 2011

Our youths are Poor

It is no longer news that young citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have become "poor" over the years and have failed to live up to expectations not because they never had rich parents, not because they were born in Nigeria, not because of the economy of Nigeria, not because of the past leaders in the country, not because a witch or wizard is after them nor their step mothers or fathers are behind their case but simply because of this singular reason:

We have become so lazy to investigate issues and carry out extensive research!

Although this may seem debatable but it is the blunt stance staring at all of us in the face in a developing political ecosystem like Nigeria.

Many of our youths will see a post on Facebook, Twitter,Nairaland, NaijaLoaded, YNaija, opinions.ng, LadiSpeaks.wordpess.com etc and not SIT, THINK, RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATE what they have been told.

Many would take such messages hook, line and sinker without proper evaluation of the information being forced on their already shallow minds.

If I post a message now about how stupid Jonathan was by reducing the pump price of Petrol by #10 when global CRUDE OIL prices have gone down, One youth will be excited, not RESEARCH and accept that Jonathan is stupid, heartless and an idiot!!! What a Generation we have.

1. Ambode would never emerge as the flag bearer of the APC. The structure will favor Hamzat Femi
2. JIMI would never emerge as the flag bearer of the PDP, The structure favors Obanikoro who coincidentally is bring craved for by the STREETS.

Ambode is hated by Civil Servants(Ask them what he did to them while as the AG of the state.)

JIMI Agbaje is an elitist who would rule us like Fashola is doing and moreover he's loyal to another Jagaban:Navy. Capt. Bode George (Rtd)

PoliticsThe Truth About City Hall Fireincident – Obanikoro by easrael(op): 12:04am On Nov 02, 2014
A lot has been said about the City Hall fire
incident. I have reacted several times to
clarify the ambiguity created by those who
have cashed in on the incident for cheap
political advantage.
Let me say for the umpteenth time that I did
not have anything to do with the fire
incident at City Hall.
I am reacting again for the following
reasons;
First, for the new generation of Nigerians to
know what really transpired at that time
and also to further educate those who do
not know what happened on that
unfortunate day.
Second is for the mischief-makers to know
that no matter how fast lies travel, truth will
definitely catch up.
This is my story.
The day the fire incident occurred was a
working day in the morning and I was not
in the office when the fire started.
Based on the briefings I received,
immediately my staff discovered the fire
outbreak, they tried to contact the fire
service and at the same time while waiting
for the fire service to come, they were also
trying everything humanly possible to put
out the fire.
The fire affected only the office of the
Chairman and also the council chamber
where legislative discussions are held. The
office of the Secretary to the local
government where administrative records
are kept was not affected at all.
More importantly, the office of the Treasurer
to the council was also not affected. For
emphasis, the only section, of City Hall that
was affected was my office as the
Chairman, which was badly damaged.
Meanwhile the council chamber that was
affected was just an open space where
legislative discussions are held. No records
or files of any importance are kept there at
all.
The insinuation and allegations that the fire
was generated or created to cover up for
anything is an unkind attempt to give a dog
a bad name in order to hang it. I also
consider it much ado about nothing
because no document of strategic
importance was missing at that point.
Let us not forget that this incident
happened under the regime of the late
General Sani Abacha, a military dictator.
However, at this time, we had a very
responsible and progressive administrator
of Lagos State in person of Brigadier
General Buba Marwa (rtd) who came by
himself to inspect the scene of the fire
outbreak and immediately set up a panel to
probe the incident. The panel was headed
by no other person but the late Engr.
Pinhero, a respected Lagosian who was
then Commissioner for Works in Lagos
State.
At the end of their investigations and
findings, the Pinhero panel came up with a
report that it was a power surge from an
electrical point that created the fire incident.
I am a proud Lagosian and there is no way
that I will do anything that will affect our
heritage. I am committed to Lagos and I
am very passionate about Lagos.
Fortunately in 1999, I was appointed as
Commissioner for Home Affairs and Culture
and the Fire Service Department was
directly placed under my office. Realizing
what transpired at City Hall when there was
a fire incident and we couldn’t get a good
response time or an efficient fire service
operation, I decided to make that challenge
something we needed to overcome. I sent
in a memo asking to make it a Lagos State
Government policy to build at least one fire
service station in every local government
area of the state and also create an
institution where studies on fire service and
emergency management issues will be
handled. Unfortunately that memo was
thrown out by the then Governor of Lagos
State, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu who did
not approve the memo. Otherwise it would
have become a policy and today we would
have had at least one fire service station in
every local government area of Lagos State
and also by extension the only Emergency
and Fire Service Training Institute in
Nigeria. But as I speak, there is none.
