Mysticwebb: You are quoting a WhatsApp group while Orlu is just in Nigeria. Why not go there to see things for yourself. All I see from your post is a man who loves seeing Army kill women, little girls and unarmed innocent men while leaving those that killed them. That to me is an act of cowardice and highest level of wickedness. Army should always fight those that fight and not the people that know nothing about their fight. This their usual act is likened to the police arresting the whole villagers because somebody who may not even belong to the village stole something from them within the village. Does it make any sense? It does not make sense as that rubbish must stop. But since Nigeria allows extra-judicial killings by the army, why now endangered the lives of people you claim to fight for. Why not engage the army in the forest? |

BastardWike: You this ikwerre man that like talking rubbish, the evil you always wish for ndigbo both in Rivers and the SE will consume your minority clan one day. Continue exhibiting your madness. It’s you the evil will consume. We saw your bravery in Oyigbo, and we weren't impressed. The indigenes rather paid the price while your mad leader in London ran to the internet to call on the UN. Orlu is not Oyigbo because something tells me IPOB just messed up with the wrong town. Orlu had good histories. And among them is bravery. |

BastardWike: I'm happy to hear this. ESN should remain in the bush where their services are needed while the army should either remain in Orlu town if they want or return to the barracks.
Enough of the bloodshed and destruction. The fool above me is already talking rubbish. SMH. Some of you are funny? If the army really wants to hit at ESN, do you think Orlu bush is big enough to hide the runaway clowns? I won't be surprised if Orlu people themselves do the fishing out without the army breaking a sweat. I believe you had a moniker before your BastardWike? Maybe this time around, you’ll change it to BastardHopeUzodinma. |

gidgiddy: For years the Nigerian Army had a swell time shooting, killing and torturing IPOB because they knew IPOB was not armed.
They learnt a bitter lesson in Orlu
Orlu is not Obigbo Nairaland resident IPOB PR. You said the same thing in Oyigbo before the army reign of terror. And you think Hope Uzodinma (from Orlu) will fold his hands and not fish out the ESN clowns? Hold my beer! If IPOB/PDP is not destroyed for good, Ndigbo will continue to be played like chess. IPOB end is near. |

Qelvin: [s]After the craziness of yesterday things have settled into somewhat of an uneasy calm in Orlu, though major streets are still deserted and markets, shops, beer parlors, business centers etc all closing early to meet the curfew time. The soldiers seem still around enforcing the curfew seem to be scared from what I've observed, I get the feeling they hate it here and just want to get the hell of out Orlu back to the barracks... and can one blame them for feeling apprehensive? facts already have emerged that they lost 6 of their men officially as of today to the ESN clash.... so they have doubled their security with more men and combat gears in various strategic areas. But the soldiers have so far surprisingly displayed professionalism and have been immensely respectful to motorists and pedestrians alike so far... I even chatted with a soldier today and he was very friendly so I offered him a beer and cigarettes from my shop for free... and he was very grateful. Hopefully peace will be restored for good in Orlu cause we've been a very serene, friendly and hospitable community until the recent crisis snowballed into something else.
And ESN still have a very strong base here in Orlu and I don't see them getting dislodged from here, so it will be wiser for the army to just leave them alone to do their jobs of protecting the rural areas from criminals and Fulani wahala, ESN from what I know enjoy the absolute trust, goodwill and confidence of the people cause they have been proven capable of providing fantastic security to the communities they operate with... as long as they don't interfere with the Nigerian army/police , then it's all good... make all man dey him lane. May we never experience bloodshed again![/s] All I see is a chestbeating report from IPOB Bureau of Information Aba. It was the same report you fools gave in Oyigbo before army began part 2. You clowns should stop endangering Igbo lives. From what I hear from a close Whatsapp group, there is currently a man-hunt for the so-called ESN members. Orlu is not Oyigbo and won't fold their hands while zombies put them to the sword. I expect to see pictures of the paraded ESN clowns on TV? Chief animal Kanu must get the message. |

Stop tagging me with the IPOB clowns. I’ve made my stance that IPOB is a cancer to Ndigbo and must be flushed. My only concern is for the innocent indigenes who are victimsof the bloodbath. |
Politics › Re: Governor Wike Links Opobo Kingdom By Road, After 150 Years by Eastlink(m): 1:25pm On Dec 31, 2020 |
Bonesking: Okrika people are two types. Just like the Bonny Islanders, they had those with Igbo origin and another section with Ijaw origin. But the Igbo angle was forcefully suppress by the Ijaws who went on a supplanting mission to eradicate all Igbo links in Rivers state after the civil war. Do not forget that the federal government had gifted Rivers state to the Ijaws after their support of the federal forces, and how Boro’s forces helped in pushing the Biafran forces first out of Bonny and later P/H. Saro-Wiwa was later made the administrator of Bonny, and the rest is history.
Bonny was the first target, where the Kalabari dialect spoken in the periphery of Island was forcefully used as the ethnic language of Bonny people. This Kalabari dialect is what is known as Ibani, while the Igbo language of Grand Bonny (Ubani) was supressed. After that was achieved, Okrika, Opobo, and those with Igbo links faced the same onslaught. Asari Dokubo confessed that his own Family lost everything because of their Igbo links.
The current ethnic language in Okrika today is a Kalabari dialect spoken by those with Ijaw heritage, which was enforced in the Igbo areas with force. Brothers were killed and those who insisted on their Igbo identity were ostracized and suppressed. Professor Alagoa was the scholar who engineered this feat in 1970, however some Ijaw nationalist had already planned this even before the civil war where Isaac Boro was used to draw many Igbo speaking groups into the Ijaw Niger-Delta Republic map.
I’ll post the Okrika communities with Igbo origin, with many of their names now Ijawnized to sound non-Igbo. The worst was that the Igbo leaders like Ojukwu and MI Okpara were chasing clout and never saw this coming.
I’ll post snapshot of Okrika areas with Igbo identity, where Igbo is spoken side by side with (Wakrike), the Kalabari dialect of the Okrika people.
The second snapshot is the first Okrika elder who signed the P/H contract with the British. Chief Kalio was his name and he was educated. He was the interpreter who spoke Igbo with the Ikwerre elders and signed on behalf of the natives. Insightful. I knew the Ijaw from Bayelsa had always been the real landgrabbers. But fraud never last. |

Na IPOB go tire. History has vindicated Zik as a man who wanted Ndigbo to avoid secession, tarry just as the north did when their leaders were assassinated and launch a counter coup.
Ojukwu the youth rushed to declare Biafra at a time we weren’t prepared. Relegating the likes of MI Okpara, Zik etc in a battle that needs a wise war cabinet and took the federal government in a suicide mission. The aftermath of the war loss made us lose both lives counting in millions, finances and Igbo ethnic bond.
But when Ojukwu the old grew up, he came to the realization that Biafra should never have happened. But Igbos must integrate and play the politics right. Instead of allowing oat-taking fraudsters use us to settle their evil ambitions, we should use the “Biafra of the mind” to strive to be the best.
If Ojukwu was alive, he would not associate with Nnamdi Kanu and other frustrated fake Jewish scallawags. But would rather call them out to desist from their satanic acts, which is the destruction of the Igbo race. |

owobokiri: PDP zoned the speakership to them, but Tinubu got them to reject it.. They will later whine after they surrendered their slot/position to their redeemers in the north. Very loquacious set of people. They will tell you they made Jonathan president! Please how? Are you the ones that killed Yaradua? Are you Akunyili, a minister in Yaraduas government that blew hot about the antics of the "cabal"? How did you make him president really? By burning tires at Ojota? Did you forgot how Obasanjo influenced the PDP to zone the Speakership position to them under Yar’adua (Patricia Etteh and Dimeji Bankole) just after having the Presidency for 8 years. The SE who kept showing stupid loyalty to PDP were sidelined among the top 4 position for only Deputy Senate. Imagine the fall from Senate Presidency to being found fit only for Deputy Presidency. And yet the SE PDP sellouts kept licking Obasanjo’s balls, the animals who called themselves Igbo PDP leaders continued rallying the people to vote the PDP despite a Buhari/Umezuoke ANPP by the corner. The Year 2007 was when the SE shot themselves in the foot by not leaving the PDP in droves. How can a major tribe be relegated by Obasanjo to nothing all because they kicked against his third term agenda. The Igbo leaders who continue slaving for the PDP are the root cause of their people misfortune today. That even under GEJ elected term in 2011, the trend continue where the statusquo of sidelining the east continued. As a matter of fact the SE were ceded Deputy Speaker, while north and SW grabbed the top 4 positions. Had the SW not sold it’s slot to Tambuwal, Ihedioha had no business scheming into the Deputy Speaker position which was zoned to the north. Any Igbo leader who still remains in the PDP after 2023 is a sellout. It’s better Ndigbo go back to the drawing board and redraw their political strategy than continue supporting the useless PDP. |

owobokiri:

You are talking nonsense! Your so-called Yoruba leaders were just the Tinubu branch of south west politics. I want you to point out exactly how you were cheated. You rant and rave about how Jonathan favoured the igbos,.. but how exactly? Because an Igbo became the chief of army staff for the FIRST time since 1966? Because an Igbo became the secretary to the government for the first time in history? Or was it the finance ministry that was headed by a renowned technocrat like Ngozi iweala? What else? Where are the projects that Jonathan did in the east that wasn't done elsewhere? A Yoruba man ruled non-stop for 8 years! Appointed Yorubas to all sorts of "juicy" positions! Used a corrupt privitasation policy to sell off national assets to his brothers, yet the nation moved on! Immediately another man from another region took over, you guys start wailing.. what do you want? To be occupying all juicy positions everlastingly? Is Nigeria under some sort of Yoruba occupation? If you want a country where you will always occupy all the "juicy" positions, form Odualand! That's the only way you can stop such groups like the igbos from being anywhere near power.. What do you even mean by "juicy" positions? Must you guys see every political appointment as a call to "come and chop"? You hit the nail on the head. They keep saying GEJ sidelined the west and favoured the east., and you begin to ask how? This was the same political stunt Tinubu pulled to deceive fellow westernerners in 2015 inorder to push their Jonathan is anti-Yoruba campaign. Inasmuch as the west used the marginalization gimmick to pursue her interest into grabbing the VP slot in 2015, they should stop this nonsense talk of “GEJ favoured the Igbos”, because it’s becoming stale. GEJ never favoured the Igbos as evidence has proven. The trash talk of showing us a useless nairaland thread proves nothing. Most especially as they turned a blind eye to the 5% marginalization of the SE/SS and supported Buhari’s North/SW appointment agenda. The SW (Tinubu branch) have no moral right to accuse GEJ because they’ve done worst then him. From Obasanjo’s tenure when he favoured Yoruba’s, to Buhari’s government where the SW grabbed almost all the juicy positions coming down south. |

As far as we are concerned, it is about oil wells that is due for imo state been given to Rivers state Yeah, the headline is not in tune with the news article. Oil wells is what the NBC is talking about I guess. Only when Imo and Abia form a joint suit to sue Rivers state to court can they win back the territories in the former old east central state. |

Only Elele, Omarelu and communities close to it within the Ikwerre LGA’s axis comes close to identifying with the SE. But the Igbophobic Ikwerre’s have turned their heads around. So those ones might remain where they are. Methink what the NBC means here is disputed oil wells between Imo and Rivers not the totality of LGA’s per say. |

The rest joins the former East Central State now SE zone. |
