Mochafella, No vex jare. There's no disputing the fact that America cannot go to war without legislative sanction. The bone of contention is the deception with which the legislative sanction was obtained but this our guy no just seem to understand anything. He seems to be so used to being around dumb people so he spews a lot of rubbish. Also, everyone should by all means be proud of whatever institution they have attended but to try and put a Nigerian down for not knowing what a terminology coined in America means is a clear sign of the fact that the guy believes that everything American is superior to everything Nigerian and every Nigerian must know whatever goes in America. ![]() |
GREENHORN, It's so disappointing to see that there are still people like you bandying themselves around feeling cool by their little achievements in stupid ways. Dont get me wrong, every achievement should be celebrated but for you to come here and tell us when you finish school, when you start college, when you marry, when you have a child etc all in your attempt to impress shows what kind of barrel you really are- an EMPTY barrel. How do you know what I have achieved in my life? How do you know what anyone else here has achieved in their lives? The fact you chose to try and impress people with such nothingness and silliness gives the impression that you must have been doing that to impress a lot of people around you. The implication is that you must have a lot of daft people around you who get infinitely impressed by your little achievements. You need to change the kind of people around you, SMALL FISH IN A POND FEELING LIKE A WHALE. ha ha ha |
TxGREENhorn, make you no go anywhere, just wait there make I tell you something. time out, |
Thanks Odeku, I expected TxGREENhorn to speak intelligently. I dont mind contrary views but they should be intelligent ones |
you're welcome ![]() |
molluma:I saw how babangida decimated Nigeria politically, culturally and economically. Babangida sold us out to IMF and the World Bank when he took a loan despite the public outcry against the loan, a loan which was only used to finance his own agenda and never used to build/develop anything in Nigeria. Babangida institutionalised corruption in Nigeria and made it an acceptable way of life. It used to be that even if policemen wanted to collect bribes, they were extremely discrete about it but when Babangida came, he brought the 'settlement' syndrome to the fore and made it acceptable to settle and accept settlement. Babangida's tenure heralded the period of long periodic closures of tertiary institutions as a result of unrest. He also helped to corrupt a lot of politicians and changed their focus and mind-set from that of service to that of corrupt enrichment. BABANGIDA IS EVIL PERSONIFIED IN THE NIGERIAN CONTEXT |
Marwa is far more articulate than most other retired soldiers. He also used to be very charismatic when I met him as governor of Lagos State but I remember he was deeply rooted in the establishment ways of corrupt enrichment and settling others. I could never vote for him because I know that he was very corrupt while he was Governor of Lagos State. He ruled Lagos State exactly like IBB ruled Nigeria before June 12. Very corrupt but making sure that those who matter get the crumbs and so they kept quiet and sang his praises. He woould never get my vote! |
Reverend:Do you realise that your forefathers who lived in mud huts had better lives than you actually have now? Do you realise that those who lived in mud huts were more secure than you are now? Do you realise that those who lived in mud huts lived longer than you will live? Do you realise that those who lived in mud huts had healthier lifestyles than you have now? Do you realise that those who lived in mud hut were healthier than you are? want some more ![]() |
Txlonghorn:The fact that you believe if you state that you attended the University of Texas will grant you some respect is indication of your shallowness and inability to rise above the lowest of depths. why should anyone want to know what Txlonghorn stands for? How many Americans know what Unilag or Unibadan stands for? or do you think we all worship anything American the same way you do? Why should a Nigerian be bothered about what TxLonghorn stands for? I need you to tell me! you already brought yourself below every level when you decided that the way to try and boost your ego is to lay claim to having attended some university. You posts and demeanour does not show that you are a product of any University. Any university will be ashamed to see you as one of it's products. |
Txlonghorn:Your ignorance is manifest in your reply. Go and find out if the UN ever approved the invasion of Iraq! It is just one of the reasons George Bush deserves to face a war crimes tribunal, Perhaps you are yet to realise that many parliamentarians have to come out to state that if they knew what they know now, they would never have voted for an invasion of Iraq; if George 'war monger' Bush did not decieve them with fake intelligence reports, they would never have voted to allow the invasion of Iraq. You already stated that you are a soldier so I wont really expect you to display a high level of intelligence, and the display of ignorance is enough to limit my expectation from you. |
I have a colleague who was born in Nigeria but left Nigeria as a kid and never went back again. She told me she was interested in finding single a black guy, particularly Nigerian who is good looking. I never introduced anyone to her because most of them would only have played with her and dumped her. I have another white male friend who does not hide his disgust for immigrants (although he's my friend). I was shocked to hear that my Nigerian 'sister' is seriously after this guy now and the guy does not really mind doing the do with her. I feel really gutted by this but I am unable to tell the girl that the guy is actually an immigrant hater and he's going to play around with her making her eventually feel humiliated. I feel gurt because I like to see every African girl as my sister. Any advise on how to go about this? |
celemel:SECONDED!!! |
TxLongHorn, It's good to see your reaction to opinions expressed by other people. Just for your information, the American president decided to go to war against Iraq. He concocted lies and fabricated a lot of claims about Iraq's nuclear capabilities, which many Congress members eventually also stated that they were decieved. The UK parliamentarians also indicated that they were decieved by evidence presented to them by the Prime Minister, evidence which was doctored to justify an attack on Iraq. Since you are displaying such ignorance, I would want you to know that the premise upon which Iraq was attacked was nuclear capabilities. After it was realised that Iraq had no such thing, the attack was justified (attempted justification) with the deposition of Saddam Hussein. Besides, the head of Government is George Bush and the buck stops at his desk. You chose to call me a fool for starting a thread and as I restrain myself from insulting you in return, I must however point you in the direction of your semantic ability going by that post. George Bush is to blame for all the innocent men, women(some pregnant) and children murdered in Iraq! His attitude and speech as well belied his war mongery approach to life. |
molluma:If he is throwing money around willy nilly just to win the election, you should know he'll want to recoup it at some point. That's one good way of knowing that he'll steal money |
Now that Saddam Hussein has been sentenced for the massacre of Iraqis, I think President George Bush should also be arraigned for ordering and permitting the slaughter of several thousand innocent Iraqi civilians, including men and women. He lied to the whole world that Iraq had nuclear capability when all he was after was a hidden agenda. If George Bush did not order several American soldiers to attack Iraq, thousands of Iraqis will be alive today. If George Bush did not sanction an attack on Iraq, Iraq would not be a terrorist haven today. If George Bush did not sanction an attack on Iraq, Iraq will not be subjected to daily suicide bombings as it obtains today. If george Bush did not sanction an attack on Iraq, several Iraqis raped and tortured by American servicemen would have been spared the torment. If George Bush did not sanction an attack on Iraq, Iraqis will have electricity, running water and functional hospitals today. I think George Bush(man) should be brought to book as well |
Horrible politics. He has to be a minister because he's probably helped the party with some funds, RUBBISHHHHHHHHHHH |
Why do Nigerians vote for people who will corruptly enrich themselves? Dariye, Alayamesi, even Tinubu, the Ekiti one as well. Why dont people vote with their consciences rather than voting for the guy who has spent the most money? If we keep votin for those who spend so much to get into positions, they'll start to recoup their losses once they get into office. it's been happening for several years and we are yet to learn! |
I must admit I have not been in PH for many years but what channel 4 showed was enough to convince me that Peter Odili is an undesirable element in governance. He actually came across as very arrogant in his ill-gotten wealth. He also served champagne worth about $200 a bottle to his journalist guest. Why do we allow such horrible elements to govern us? |
I just watched Peter Odili on Channel 4. I was astounded by his shameless display of wealth and the wantoness of his ostentatious lifestyle in the midst of so much deprivation and poverty-induced anarchy of the Delta region. It was also revealed the he intends to contest for the presidency. Does Nigeria need such calluosly ostentatious individuals at the helm of affairs? |
It's strange that BNP members who incited hatred have been acquited by the courts. I wonder what would have happened if it was a non white speaking that way about whites, I think any non-white person who dares to incite such hatred against white people would, at best, be inprisoned for inciting racial hatred if unlucky, they may be accused of terrorism. What do you guys think? |
shango:It's a pity that what you consider facts are very shallow and they are an exhibition of your narrow-mindedness. It is the fact that there are quite a few people like you in existence that we have found ourselves in our present sorry state. Nigeria was working even after 1960 (you may need to ask your elders). It only started degenerating when colonial mentalists like yourself got into government and sold us out to foreigners who wanted to loot what we had at the time. It is the foreigners who come to our country to corrupt the stupid officials who are of like mind with you. They sold us out to the foreign investors who have nothing but milking our economy at the back of their minds. Look around you and tell me if any non-white nation is allowed to develop! NB. Dont call other people fools without a good basis for the use of such a word. |
Belloti, who are your political sponsors? |

I'll tell you OK, It's a slogan for the University Of Texas in Austin my Alma Mater.
