you just accepted the fact that rochas has no chance against a yoruba contesting and what makes you think that one will not contest. Simply put it there is no hope for the SE/SS with the present status quo of the two political parties
I was imagining a situation where APC zones the presidency to SE in 2023.

Which Saraki? Potential former senate president & political outcast ? cheesy ...

Which Atiku? Perpetual Presidential "aspirant" ? Notice i didn't say candidate? , Atiku can't get votes outside of Adamawa....

The person that could have made headway is Lamido , but he is a potential Jailbird..

Who remain for north?

Kwankwanso has been defeathered by Ganduje..

Dankwambo is more popular on Social Media &amongst PDP members than in reality

Ribadu? No comment

Ali Shekau? He couldn't even win his PU last time & his EFCC case will probably keep him busy.

El Rufai is the only competition i can see & there is no way in heyull he will make the switch.
Madam calm down we were talking about APC presidential primary election in the future, not general election.
We all know Saraki and Kwankwaso are sympathetic to the same old PDP blood, and so is Atiku. going by the last APC primary election result, the nPDP delegate votes is a force to reckon especially those from the north.
Also mark you all those PDP members that have been trooping into APC majority become automatic delegates in APC. They can easily be influenced to work for Saraki/Kwankwaso/Atiku, especially in 2023.

the major power brokers in APC will make sure it never happens. The SW just gifted PMB the ticket just to capitalize on the zoning miscalculation of PDP not because they were comfortable with it. They will zone the ticket to the south which SW will clinch comfortably as birth right. You can take this to the bank
I agree with you, but I was talking about the general election.
For the primary election I know it's gonna be fierce even for PMB himself, considering forces like Saraki and Atiku uniting. Of course Rochas wouldn't stand a chance if a Yoruba is contesting. Anyway let's wait and see.

you alone is seeing the missing piece of this puzzle. Even at that, APC is not even an assured route cause there are lots of interest within the APC fold. Even igbos are yet to accept APC so there's no hope ther. The fastest route for the SE into Aso is floating a national party then use their diversity in every state of the nation to convince other tribes to vote the candidate
No Igbo party would sell in the North.
The best chance ofr an Igbo president is in APC, Rochester in particular. In 2023 after PMB'S second term. All Rochas needs to do is to convince PMB to support him. If he raises his hand in the north, believe you me majority of northerners will vote for him even against a Northern PDP candidate.
What am not sure is how much do the Igbos hate APC that they would vote for a northerner instead of an Igbo man just to prove a point that they hate the north.

Don't be deceived by APC's rhetoric. They don't have agreed zoning principle Like the PDP. Should Buhari fly the party's ticket in 2019, the South West may decide to clinch the party's ticket in 2023 considering that it is the party's political base in the South. However, PDP has a precedence and it favours the South East in 2027.
Igbo president till 2027 according to Barcanista. Well I don't care whether the SE are OK with it. whatever makes them happy.
My question is where is SW in this your permutations. from 2019-2027 Northern president and Igbo VP, from 2027-2035 Igbo president and Northern VP, I don't think you can zone both president and VP to the south. So what you are saying is you plan to spend 16 years without SW on the PDP tickets?
Goodluck with that!

The Northernern states are the only region not owing their workers. This shows the Northern states are getting wayy more funds than they need. They are surely not smarter or 'holier' than the southern governors. SW needs to demand for regionalism. It doesn't help SE and SW leaders are also corrupt.

Good move. In politics, u sometimes play dirty. PDP must take some desperate measures to remain in circulation and compete effectively in 2019. This though might look horribel is very futuristic. The man in question is capable of pulling close to 40% of northern votes to PDPin a general election. Don't forget he is about the strongest Shi'ite Muslim in Nigeria whose membership has suffered terrible humiliation in the hands of the present govt. of Buhari, himself of the Sunnih group.
Pwahhaahahahahah! Guy wetin u dey smoke. Check last general election results he didn't even win his polling unit. And who told you he is a Shi'ite? SAS is not a shiite ,FYI Shi'ites don't even register to vote, they consider it haram. So next time please respect your kids don't post false information online.

It doesn't matter if they are known not to give up. Igboland will never spare an inch for nomads. Igbos can be very ruthless if they chose to be and the fulanis will soon discover that. Many of us scattered all over the world have got the info and we will respond accordingly. It is clearly a case of invasion which we shall deal with. Igbos cannot be intimidated you should know that by now.
OK o. But in the end let there be peace. I rest my case.

Yujin:
Ok. You can create grazing routes for them in Jigawa but here in Igboland where land is scarce, we won't spare an inch for murderers. You say they pride themselves as fearless and ruthless; we pride ourselves too in such manner. From today, herdsmen in Igboland are declared unsafe. We will see how they will survive it. All their camps in Igboland are known and will be handled appropriately. Igbos are too big for fulanis to invade and occupy our lands. May God forbid that men remain and fulanis occupy our homeland. They will not live to tell the story.
Lol! Well the land no matter how scarce belongs to the government, and all it would do is compensate the people. Understand me am trying to point to the best solution. Even if you succeed in annihilating all Fulani's that enter your land, their tribesmen from as far as Senegal and Central Africa would organize a massive reprisal and the blood bath continues. Trust me they'd never give up!
I say no to violence as a solution to violence.

OlujobaSamuel:
government can't allocate people's land to businessmen. They are into business, they should invest in their business. Everyone is fearless and ruthless, when pushed to the walls. The president knows the owner of these herds because he is also one of them, so it's better for him to condemn it and talk to their casual workers(herdsmen).
grazing paths are not allocated to Fulanis alone. They are government owned but only for citizens to use just like roads.
The president knows the owners? seriously?
No matter how many time the president condemns their attack they won't listen. They would attack when and wherever they are provoked. Best solution is the grazing paths.
Politics › Re: Tension As Herdsmen Plot Invasion Of Enugu Community- VANGUARD by EazyMoh(m): 12:14pm On Apr 25, 2016
OlujobaSamuel:
I think there should be reprisal in this case. I supports pmb but I don't like his posture towards this fulani issue, if reprisals will make him condemn the heardmen or rustlers, then I think that should happen. This is one story too many, although in my clan in south west you can't go there with cattles or goat, it's not allowed, even if for a party, you kill it the day you brought it in, no sleepover, otherwise you meet it dead before day break. I heard an even lead to it about 40years plus ago.
Reprisals are never the solution. If you think the solution to this problem is the president's condemnation then you are on a long thing. The readers -farmers clash is a Continental phenomenon, not just Nigeria.
In my state Jigawa, this problem was solved by former Governor Sule Lamido. About 50meter wide grazing paths were kept by the government and the farmers were warned not to cultivate it. The following planting season the farmers cultivated the grazing paths. The govt had to send tractors to mow down the crops and since then rearers-farmers clash has stopped in my state. This is the best way to solve the crisis.
A typical fulani man prides himself as fearless and ruthless. If you think reprisals can scare them away you are very wrong. They do not forget nor forgive, plus they have the advantage of been very mobile.
So the best solution is to dialogue and have common grounds then it would be easier to apprehend those that default.
I rest my case.

We have enough igbos in Igbolan to defend it from fulani aggressors!! Expect widespread reprisals across the east should the fulanis attempt an agatu in any part of igboland.
Igbos should be the last tribe to utter the word 'reprisal' because they have the most to lose. One Igbo man in Kano owns properties worth what all the Hausa and Fulanis have in Enugu state. There is virtually no village in the north where you can't find and Igboman.
Let's I forget people like you have forsaken them and you don't care what happen to them.
NB am all for dialogue. but the way keep shouting reprisals reprisals reprisals! as if those perpetrators are on NL is absurd.
