Iamzik: On the contrary you are the one who sounds bitter. No offense. I don't have a business who you call your brother. What I pointed out was the foolishness of a boy king who after becoming king wants to change to Fulani title.
You can call anyone your brother. That doesn't have anything to do with the issue at hand.
I grew up in the core north and I have Muslim Hausa brothers who are practically closer than my blood brothers.
My point is that a king who can think of dropping his traditional royal title for another title in far away north is not fit to lead. He should go and rule in the north since there is no love in the west as claimed.
Have you ever heard of any monarch contemplating dropping his royal title for any culture's?
Address the issue hand and stop trying to normalize an anomaly. OGA it wasn't you I initially quoted, so why are you all over me? I made it clear to you my grouse wasn't with anyone criticizing the converted emir, but the posters comment referencing how preachers refer to Muslims from the north as their brothers. To him that was also wrong and in the same category with this "emirs" action. I repeat only children of hate view calling human your brother as something wrong! If you can't defferitiate between what I was talking about even after making it abundantly clear to you I don't care about the obas action, then I can't help you. |

400billionman:
sometimes I wonder why crimes as petty as phone snatching should be a big issue in advanced countries like the UK when compared with developing countries like Nigeria. Just for the news alot of Nigeria young men have taken to armed robbery. Their target is cash and cars claiming to be G-boys or hustlers. So Nigeria should just ban used phones. If you cannot afford a phone buy a lower grade. Oga no country has ever banned sale of used phone., not to talk of Nigeria. |

Why hasn't any northern emir dropped his emir title to be called an Oba?
Let's call a spade a spade. The yahoo boy is downright Porus I don't care about this so called Emir, my comment was directed at what you quoted in bad light. Your comment was quoting Muslims from the south calling those from the north their brothers and how that seemed to irritate you. You could only be irritated when someone called another person his brother only IF you are filled with hate. Deal with it. |

fensals: I had read a draft of the bill before the interview and i asked the interviewers if and how passage of the bill will affect the recruitment and they categorically stated that it wouldn't. They even laughed about it and wondered why i would bother myself with that. One of them said it would take a couple of years for operational and organizational changes to take effect...which is quite obvious...unbundling the NNPC, incorporating the Ministry of petroleum and creating the new commissions coupled with the red tape in our civil service.
P. S: The president needs to sign off before anything can happen (president who is rumoured to be going for another sick leave soon for probably another 100+ days)
I have no idea why successful candidates have not been contacted but i am almost certain it has nothing to do with the Bill. Gbamest! |

T all of you speculating about the recently passed petroleum bill shall calm down. The Bill will not even each the president's desk till the end of the year. Because it hasn't being passed by HOR yet sef. Rest assured the president would NOT accent to it right away, the earliest the bill would be passed into law is gonna be around 2020! DPR is already short of staff, this recruitment has reached about 90% conclusion. Money, energy ad time spent. The only logical reason for the delay is the interest groups that need to be appeased before it is finally released. If you are familiar with federal recruitment you'd know that only those with merit based selection are allowed to linger. If it were Ogas at the top's list of about 10 candidates in 3 weeks you'd have been asked to resume. So this recruitment is happening just hope to be among. |

Hnmm You wonder how they come about this "research". But what I observe is that they take farmers as the people living in poverty the most. Look at Ebonyi as the SE state with highest activity of agriculture it's the poorest. Also look at Benue as the food basket of the nation it still has more than 50% poverty rate, whereas.... Why is poverty rate in Niger state TWICE Kogi state? I believe they only considered people with white color job as out of poverty, if not how can you consider all those unpaid workers in states Bayelsa as out of poverty? |

SHAKABOOM: Did I tell yu Dan fodio brought Islam to hausaland? No he didn't.
But he brought sumtin worst..which is jihad..He brought destruction, tears ad sorrows to hausaland..The reason they dint erase Hausa language was becos Hausa was an acceptable language back then in some part of west Africa ad they had many population.
I ask yu again..Did the white man force yur fathers to speak english, practice dia religion ad answer dia names? Dan Fodios Jihad was the best thing to happen to Hausaland and Hausa people. We the Hausa people are glad he did and we will forever pray for him and all the Mujahideens. Whatever you do or say won't change our minds. Look at you asking me whether they forced my people to speak their language and convert to their religion. Just now I saw cannon used to bombard Kano city when the whitemen held siege of the fortified city. They were not welcomed, and it was made clear to them. [b] They forced us to relinquish our sovereignty and for the first time our city states were ruled by infidels who moral decadence to our city walls. They not only tried to change our language religion and culture, they did far worth by amalgamating our morally upright society with the largely legal cum Christian south. |

SHAKABOOM: Unreasonable write up. Did they force yu to accept dia religion like the fulanis did to other tribes?
Did they force yu to study ad speak dia language in school?
Did they force yu to answer dia name?
The whitemen freed yu ad yur fathers from slavery..They gave yu independence off which if they wia fulanis they won't try it. Since the fulanis konkerd hausas and took over ruler ship..They havnt given them freedom by allowing hausas rule over dia land. Wow I marvel at the level of your ignorance. How many times would we tell you Fulanis weren't the people that brought Islam to Hausaland, in fact they never converted anybody to Islam because every Hausa man was basically a Muslim for almost 1000 years before the coming of Fulanis. See how you are extolling the colonialists and totally blind to what they did to you. You are here typing in English while no Hausa man can actually speak Fulani by virtue of their conquest, in other words it's even the other way round. |

oyatz: Why must every comment about the religion of Peace be turned to a Christian Vs Muslim debate?
Okay, if the violence is not up to 1% of the violence in the history of Christianity, is it not greater than 70% of the violence in the history of Hinduism and 95% of the violence in the history of African traditional religion?
I have never seen Amadioha or Shango worshippers killing or abusing Egbesu or Ogun adherents or declaring them as 'Kafirs' to be hated. Because 99% of those giving Islam the violence tag are Christians. So it's Ironic for an ignorant Christian to label Islam as violent while believing Christianity was the best thing to happen to humanity. |
