Just passed there but honestly this is one of the most ridiculous sites I have ever seen.
The location is the worst! Couldn't they build it in a park or somewhere? Or I forgot the governor has sold them to his friends to build shops!
That government house roundabout is already very small, and they are constructing this giant thing on it. You can hardly see vehicles on the other side of the roundabout, and not to mention the meaninglessness of the structure, two interlocking city gates?
Sorry Furr.

Dottore:
My brother, Ford ranger or any other pickup in their class can never compare with Toyota Hilux in Fuel efficiency, tow and low capacity, reliability and durability. Nissan Frontier is the worst, load it with 15bags of cement and you won't like it any more. I can only agree that the anesthetics of Hilux may not be too wonderful. I have used both and currently still using Diesel powered Hilux. So I'm talking from experience
Thank you my Oga I was trying to tell him the price is the least of the buyers problem. Because they are either governments who didn't work for the money or a company that needs the service only Hilux can deliver excellently.
I work with some Chinese Engineers with CCECC, they drive their Mitsubishi and we drive Hilux, they never dare do what we do with our pick up!

It won't go far bro! The past2 years has shown clearly that hilux sales is dropping. How many government parastatals bought a bulk last year? How many oil company? Telecoms?

I know what am talking about. Look around, its glaring! How many did the police force buy last 2 years till date?

Ford is coming for them big time!
Of course due to the recession everything has dropped in sales including road side Akara. But buying Toyota Hilux by government and other companies is like a cult activity. Also no other truck comes close to Hilux in terms of durability and reliability, certainly not Ford Ranger.

20m too much for its normal customers to stay put with the model.

That's a wide price margin to its predecessor.

Ford ranger will be ready to finally nail the hilux as far as the Nigerian market is concerned.
Guy relax, most of the customers are government agencies. And watch out even Kano State Basic Education Board will order about 50! Not to talk of ministry of works Nigeria Army or federal ministries. These people no send the money now.

Politics › Re: Consumers Now Free To Buy Electricity Directly From Gencos – Fashola by EazyMoh(m): 5:15pm On May 24, 2017
obamartins:
This is a very wonderful policy if implemented. A Situation where DISCOS like BEDC would have the opportunity to buy enough power to satisfy states they service for 24hours but refuse to do so because of capitalism (they want to make excess profit), this is the kind of policy that will break that wickedness. TCN on several occasions have cried out that they have enough power for less industrialized states like Edo, Delta, Ondo etc that BEDC covers, but this company refused to buy why? Because they buy little power, give companies (e.g Guinness, hotels and some Chinese firms in Benin) on the 33kva line almost 24hours of power and share the insignificant reminder to households using massive load shedding arrangements which in turn kills small scale businesses which are the driving force of the economy today.

When asked why they carryout such ungodly arrangement, they start singing the hit single "energy theft". They complain that consumers are stealing energy hence this "punishment". The same BEDC rolled out prepaid meters that are mounted on power poles to prevent energy theft. Initially, the pace of the installation of these prepaid meters was fast, when they realized that due to lack of power, the sales of token was not commiserate with what they normally get during the fixed charge era and from estimate bills they give to households without the prepaid meter (those with analogue meters), they deliberately slowed down, the installation of the pole mounted prepaid meter.

Government need to break the monopoly further by giving license to small scale power vendors like what is obtainable in India to bring Nigeria out of this power crises that has being plaguing us for years. This is the 21st century for God sake. We need to think outside the box and stop this centralization of power, not all power generated must go through a centralized power grid. Individuals with the capacity can obtain license to generate and distribute power in selected areas, villages, towns etc.

When power was to be privatized, the selling message the government gave to use was the telecommunication sector with the introduction of GSM in Nigeria. They said power would be like that with many players coming into the sector hence driving competition, when it was finally privatized, the story changed, they said we cannot remove total monopoly in the distribution of power, because different companies cannot start mounting their poles on the same streets, so that consumers cannot have their choice of companies to buy power from. For me, that is not thinking outside the box, we could have different companies as DISCOS in a state, they will all run conduit cables and have points where consumers that want to buy from them can be connected to. If a consumer is not satisfied with the services of a particular disco, he changes to another one. That is the only way this Discos can sit up. If a disco refuses to buy more energy from transmission and the other buys more, a consumer has the choice to change his Disco. They don't have to mount electric poles all over the places to achieve this.
I agree with you, but I don't think this policy is sustainable. It will simply cost the discos a lot of revenue. Because any industry close to a genco will simply connect power lines and buy directly at even a cheaper and more available rate. Especially with the way the discos keep rejecting the generated power.

Android Mashmallow 6.0

Only set back might be the battery life.
In Africa with poor power supply, they should have included a 4500maH battery life and above.

More proof is needed to show this is 100% Nigerian made. From manpower to Conception to Design and Construction. A phone assembled in Nigeria is not Nigerian made.

AfriOne....Africa's First Or One Africa

Depending on the fantasy of the branders and designers.
Android 6.0 isn't processor, it's OS. Honestly the processor is the most important feature for me in a phone because am a heavy user.
The battery too at 3gAh is ok.

Your name says it all so no need even saying anything to you. People hurt others all in the name of frivolous excuses. Did you care to even know why the firs wife filed for divorce ? you made abstract claim without even being rational. A woman with 2 kids won't leave her husband just like that.....
Well this one did leave! I have been following the story since her initial attempt to blackmail Jim that he assaulted her and got him arrested in the UK when he posted this Juliet's pic on instagram. I live less than a km away from his family house and am aware of most of what transpired.
What has my moniker got to do with my opinion?

The victims don't get proper justice as Islamic laws mete rape with fine and option to marry the victim

When you allow bail and fine for a crime like rape, that's you indirectly taxing a crime

What sort of fvcked up law is that? undecided

The stup¡d shariah system should be scrapped.
Oga did you take kain kain this early morning to confuse Christianity with Islam?
In Islam the punishment for rape is actually death penalty. It is Bible that asked the rapist to marry the raped as punishment.
Get your facts right.

Juliet Ejue just destroyed Ahmed Musa's home. Sbe was rocking another woman's husband and now finally she has seized him completely. Hopefully Musa will come back to his senses soon. I so much pity Jamila
Lol Jamila is a Muslim woman and polygamy is what she knows she has to contend with. There president's daughters who are second, third and even fourth wives. So who is she in norther Nigeria not to?
Anyway she was the one who chose divorce than to live with a co-wife, he simply granted her wish. All we shall all do is wish them all the best.

This is absolute nonsense. I wonder why some ladies are just too greedy? all what they care about is their own selfish gains. A month after divorce and he is getting married to another woman do people even know the effect of divorce? shame on them. Mark my words, they wont last more than 2 years.
Shut up there! This Juliet was even ready to be his second wife, it was the first wife who forced the divorce. So he granted her her wish and went ahead with his marriage. He's a Muslim and has the right to marry more than one wife.

Na WA ooo.. U left ur wife with 3 lovely kids for another woman..,he didn't just care how d previous wife will feel and his children, this is unfair...
You guys just keep commenting on what you have no idea about.
He is a Muslim and has the right to marry up to 4 wives. He fell in love with this Juliet and was ready to make his second wife. His mother and the rest of the family supported him.
The first wife who lives with him permanently in the UK said over her dead body. She even reported him to the police and he was arrested. She claimed he assaulted her. He denied it and offered her the choice of either divorce or she allow him marry the second wife.
Both made their choices and they decided to move on.
So stop the emotional blackmail, nobody was unfair to anyone. In Islam both polygamy and divorce are 100% allowed and she chose hers and he chose his.
Just wish them the best in their separate lives.

Nice article, but if I may ask which animals are actually endangered in Nigeria?
I believe we already have game-reserves within which hunting is prohibited.
Also people are now preoccupied with surviving, last thin on their mind is your daughter who wants to see an antelope.
Back in time when Europeans reached the Americas in the 15th century they killed animals with reckless abandon rendering thousands of species extinct. These were a people dubbed most well fed in the world at that time. So they can't now come and dictate to a hungry African don't eat so so and so animal because our grand would love to see them. Nonsense!
Don't get me wrong I love the wild life conservation thing, but not while depriving poor people their primary source of protein.
