onyechez: You owe lots of truth to your self, if you like say what you like it is a fact Nigeria stock exchange is a mess and anyone can see it. Economy self na zero, for the fact one or two or 3 top business in the country is doing well doesn't mean the NSE is doing well. You have no idea blah, blah blah is too irrelevant to start with. Nigerian Stock Exchange has its challenges like every other exchange. The New York stock exchange has crashed before too and also has a circuit breaker but saying the Nigerian Stock Exchange is non functional is false, comparing the Nigerian Stock exchange to Ghana stock exchange proved your extreme ignorance. Educate yourself, you can start from here https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/6076Read about the top exchanges in Nigeria https://nairametrics.com/2017/07/23/the-top-5-stock-exchanges-in-africa/We know Nigeria is hard but educate yourself first before blaming Government for everything, people are making money in the Nigerian Stock Exchange but your type would be waiting for Government to come and spoon feed you |

Imagine him comparing Ghana stock exchange to Nigeria, Nigerians have the mentality to always curse everything in this country for some reason, chase away foreign investors with their stupidity then complain that the country isn’t getting better |

anjilgreat: Okay, that means the loss at March low was not up to 10% for the circuit breaker to be triggered. Yes I guess so, they just installed it in 2016 or I guess, they just used this to test it lol Maybe also because of the way the index is weighted, large cap stocks volatility was huge |

It's more of the Nigerian factor we find ourselves in. Even the system is an enemy of progress! It’s the rule, when it’s more than 5% the circuit breaker is triggered |

RabbiDoracle: While I congratulate Biden, you will need to be tone down your expectations.
Biden said he will increase capital gain taxes from 23.8% to 39.6%.
So I expect investors to sell off Gold, Bitcoin, oil, stocks, silver etc where they have made gains and rush into treasuries. This is to book profits and file for taxes at 23.8% capital gain taxes before New year when he takes over.
In my opinion, it will be a global sell just like what happened in 2008.
We should trade safe. No way he can increase tax. The senate is controlled by the republicans, Mitch Mcconnell would give him hell. all that was Trump campaign propaganda. Same way he said the markets would sell off if Biden wins. |

OakPearl: In response to your question in bold. The US electoral system implements what I will call a simple advance planning mechanism. Voting started some days ago, and coming into today, there were already over 94 million votes cast! Beat that my naija!!! That requires a working mailing system, if Nigeria does it voter fraud would be too more |

The foreign index market structure was broken in September 2020. But people were basking in the euphoria.

Mcy56: INTBREW: An improved result in my layman's understanding. Q3 EPS dropped to (0.06), no small thanks to income tax which took away more than 60% of the coy profit, they ought to have returned to profitability by now. This regime is not fair to that Sector at all but the regime wouldn't be there forever. This stock should still be on a radar of any investor with cap appreciation in mind. Still a promising stock. This is Mcy's view on this stock. Excise duty is killing them |

juman: But no country can invade nigeria. A country of two hundred millions people. Cannot be invaded.
Even america tried to invade iraq, a country of just thirty eight million people, at the end america and their friend britain disgracefully ran away.
Our solution is to elect better people as leaders. Yes we can. Free and fair election is like revolution. If they use air strikes to invade Nigeria, Nigeria would be finished in weeks, US has 29 military bases in Africa https://theintercept.com/2020/02/27/africa-us-military-bases-africom/The Muslim world put up resistance in Iraq led by Fund raising from people like Osama Bin Laden from a Billionaire Family, Osama has those networks already because the same Us funded his operations during the war in Afghanistan against Russia. Forget that one |

dragunov: You're one of those guys who would continue to deny fact as the truth and embrace some pseudo logic that produces the illusive effect of being intellectually sound. Where’s solid evidence that says otherwise. Instead of people to get lawyers to get a court order mandating LCC to release the Cctv footage as they said the camera wasn’t removed they’re spreading fake news everywhere. |
Celebrities › Re: Lekki Toll Gate: DJ Switch Speaks About Shootings by ebuka1997: 9:47am On Oct 24, 2020 |
afroxyz: The process of investigation takes a long time, it is not immediate. The US embassy and foreign governments have condemned the attack. These guys have a wide intelligence network. Besides tgat, if there was no plan to shoot protesters, why were the lights put out and why was the cctv removed? Why was a sniper seen on top of oriental hotel? How can the Nigerian army say they were not there when Bonny camp is just at the end of that express? These are questions. Even if nobody died, why has the President not even debunked the rumour? Lagos state governor has been talking from both sides of his mouth. He first said nobody died, then he said two people died. How come live bullets were gotten from the scene (this was televised). The givernment is the one not steadfast in its stories. Bro forget. Who do people gives this Government legitimacy. The British are satisfied with Nigeria the way it is. BBC has already started fact checking to show that majority of the pictures being circulated were fake. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/world-africa-54628292The cctv news is fake too, Most of these rumors originate online, I don’t know why people listen to all these influencers most of whom are chasing clout. A lot of fake news has made the claims of these guys hard to believe without proof which is why the Army can deny it with no consequences. |

afroxyz: Ebuka, na because of our common interest for that other thread. Mind ya sef. NA that burnt Fela's house and killed his mother Yet still denied it, is it this one they would accept? This thing seems suspicious, the facts aren’t coming out right. If this is true and 78 people really died, the international criminal court must be investigating Buhari now, nobody denied that one because it was clear |

Then u were there to know when unknown gun Men showed up to shoot then the military cane to join in??
Then lastly people were behind the military because it was a large crowd and space and many people where challenging them while they shot to scare the protesters. Nigerians are not fools they are one of the smart people on earth only suppressed and oppressed by their leaders.
Don’t be delusional. |

mindtricks: All paid govt-agents stories are to be believed only by fools. Believe Nigerian govts and their agents at your own peril. The truth is already in public domain. Govt is innately evil and capable of anything! Stop all these conspiracy theories, I’m only being logical. People expect International criminal court to charge Buhari without solid proof. There has to be evidence, did people directly see the army firing live bullets? Those bullets should be kept for investigation, or did they pack all the fired bullets as they pack the dead bodies too. When ammunition is purchased there’s a paper trail including the bullets casing. This is why we need a robust criminal investigation department in Nigeria to investigate all these because right now they sound like cock and bull stories which is why Buhari and the Military can dismiss it |
