AceRoyal: Is that what is needed now? Is this what is most important? Government is struggling with stimulating and balancing the economy, yet they want to further close/kill businesses that are generating scarce revenue for the economy. The only source of joy, enjoyment and happiness to the common, poor masses they want to take it away admist the serious economic and social hardship this country is currently experiencing.
The day revolution will happen in this country, it might be sparked by something so small, something like this that they think has no consequence but greatly affects the common man.
This country right now is without clear cut direction. May God help us.
P.S- For those of me quoting me and accusing me of been a drunk, you guys should think and try to see beyond your nose, religious sentiments, moral hypocrisy and economic ignorance. Do you know how much these companies generate in revenue for the government and people? Let's not talk based on just sentiments but economic common sense at this time of dwindling foreign reserves and economic ressession. If I have my way I'll also advocate for the government to legalise/control, cultivate as well as engage in aggressive exportation of Cannabis sativa(weed). Oil will soon be a thing of the past. Our government should invest heavily in agriculture and technology if we are to stay afloat economically. Na lie, they can point gun on the head of us Nigerians, we still have that survival spirit. No protest still, Nigerians are used to hardship |

RabbiDoracle: S&P 500 will need to trade at 1,800.
The ATH reached in January 2020 was when there were lots of companies operational, unemployment very low and little to no bankruptcies.
This ATH reached in early September 2020 was with lots of companies in bankruptcies and more coming, high unemployment numbers. It was just liquidity driven.
The bubble has burst. So sell pressure will be increasing. Bro I respect you but no way would the s & p see 1800. That was driven by uncertainty of the coronavirus. The worst don happen, what wants to happen again that we haven’t seen? Unless Trump loses and refuses to step down which causes turmoil. The S & P would slide gradually and be choppy overall and test some key support levels, it already tested 3330 and bounced off it. Let’s see in some months tho, I’m wondering what’s making you think the S & P would test 1800 again. It just seems like a wild claim to me. |

zikter: Trash? Can you please compare Nigeria with India on any sector of the economy to educate me me? I would like to learn from you. And what do you mean by world capital of poverty? Like I told someone before, poverty is everywhere including the most developed nations. Now let's come back to India vs Nigeria and what each country can contribute globally in key areas. Educationally-Their standard is far above ours, we scramble for visa to go study there. Health-care-They are among one of the best and most competitive health care giver in the world. What do we have here? We run there to get medical treatment. Industrially-India is again miles ahead, we buy machines from them for our industries. They are the ones building the largest refinery in Africa for Dangote. Their pharmaceutical industry is top there with the best, supplying drugs to the US as well. Agriculturally- Again they Trump us by far, we import ordinary rice from them. Technologically- Again they are the best in IT globally. Remind me what we do here. Militarily-India is a powerhouse as well, almost there with the super powers. Again, this is not to bash Nigeria, but just what it is. I will be the happiest person in the world if my Country earns half of the respect India earns among the league of nations. It is high time we started telling ourselves the truth so that we can make amends. Please do not hesitate to convince me how Nigeria and India are on the same level. I will be glad to know. Regards. First of all I’m not arguing that Nigeria is more developed than India, no sane person would say that. I’m debating your statement that they’re way developed than Nigeria, if you had said China or Japan I’ll understand not India. Check per capita income, the per capita income in Nigeria and India. According to The latest World bank reports Nigeria is ranked above India, check the picture I attached and don’t argue that it’s because India has a large population China also has a large population and is above Nigeria. You scramble for visa to go there? That’s a stupid point, don’t Indians get visas to come here and work? Or there just fly here without visa. Healthcare, fair enough they have a good standard of healthcare, not a high standard like you’re trumpeting, why people go there for medical tourism is because of the relatively cheap cost of private hospitals, they’re not among the top 20 countries with quality healthcare. Cuba has a world recognized healthcare system, does it mean they’re ‘way developed’ than Nigeria? India has a youth employment rate of more than 23%, around the same as Nigeria

Rosskii: Shut up and stop talking rubbish.
India is NOT ''miles ahead of Nigeria in all indices''. You are a LIAR and a SLAVE to utter such garbage.
There is NOTHING we are suffering in Nigeria today that hundreds of millions of Indians are not suffering, from underdevelopment to corruption to bad roads to power cuts to poverty to rural poverty to illiteracy.
Millions of them curse their leaders for their condition just as you do in Nigeria.
These are people in the same India you people are making out to be El Dorado:

zikter: We are talking about general attitude to work here, remember. Yes, India may not be a definition of proper management as you said, but they are still well ahead of Nigerians, management wise. This is why in private sector, they survive far longer than Nigerian manage enterprises. Again, India as a Country is miles ahead of Nigeria in all indices. An average Indian is more trusted generally than an average Nigerian on the same level of skills. This is sadly due to our battered image in all facets of criminality, be it drugs, corruption, internet fraud etc. Indian is miles ahead of Nigeria? Bros you need to chill and stop spewing trash you don’t know, it’s your type that would say Kenya is miles ahead of Nigeria. Was India not poverty capital of the World until some months ago. |

zikter: This is never nonsense. If you have not experienced it, don't say what you don't know. Even in the banking sector you mentioned, many banks managed by Nigerians are no more and mostly due to mismanagement. On many occasions banks employees have orchestrated fraud on customers accounts and involved in robberies as well. If not because of strong capitalization initiated by Sanusi, most of the banks would have gone by now. Note the word mostly in my assertions, meaning not all Nigerians are like that. But as always, the majority group will drive the narrative about a nation. And sadly, most Nigerians are crooks in one way or the other, hence the general public perception we are experiencing now Majority of Indian men are rapist, does it mean Indian men wouldn’t be trusted because of that? |

Litmus: Then such laws (and i hope the expanded version includes ethnicity and race) have to be made more widely known and understood through public education media such as television and radio. This is salient not merely since Chinese interactions in Africa have become topic of the moment, but that mass communication and transport has shrunken the world. When the Nigeria public become more aware of such laws, foreigners would be not only less likely to abuse these laws, Nigerians would be less likely to accept abuse of same law as it impacts them individually. Popularity emboldens, obscurity often exploits... Laws aren’t the problem. It is the implementation. What of the case that an Indian that raped a worker and almost got away with it. A law can always be broken if people think they’ll get away with it. They can’t do this in some countries because they know they won’t get away with it, China can’t do nonsense in USA for example because they know Trump won’t smile with them, that’s it. Abeg leave matter for Matthias. |

Litmus: Instead of shouting, screaming and abusing yourelsves as if there's no tomorrow, why not conserve the energy and use it to ensure something like this does not happen tomorrow? For me, issues like these happen because there are loopholes in the system. For instance, if Nigeria created legislation that outlaws discriminations such as this in employment, the employers would not have "openly" drafted advertisement such as the one this topic is centred.
I see all the time, when something concerns Nigeria, for example what outsiders term as corrupt practices, that there are simply cultural misunderstandings taking place. In relation to the topic for example, the Nigeria reliance on individuals policing themselves was informed by normative aspect of majority of Nigeria’s ethic nationalities which saw members sanctioned by cultural exceptions. Nigeria is simply forgetting or isn’t evolving fast enough from these informal cultural modes of living to the formal ones of modern democratic society. In the modern state, legislation sanctions much of life. Section 42 of the Nigerian Constitution bars discrimination on grounds of Sex religion nationality |

Indian only job advert in Nigeria, this is an open form of discrimination in Nigeria. It seems Nigeria doesn’t belong to Nigerians alone, the Chinese and the Indians are more Nigerian than Native Nigerians.
