OakPearl: Fastly is a great stock for the new normal. I had it for keeps but sold off to buy back after the TikTok shake out purely because I saw the sell off as an opportunity to sell high to buy cheaper.
I have started buying back with the first repurchase at $78.
When I buy a stock for long term, I have very strong fundamental reasons. Thanks, I would start buying with you on monday |

Alaska90: Thanks... but I am not sure I will jump in for now because the stock is still on downward motion.
But can you recommend any other trading stock you are watching or entering for now? Oh yeah, those stocks are bad companies, they’re just for trading and taking profits For next week I’ll be watching fastly for long term, they fell largely due to the Tik too issue and I believe they’ll be a correction... bosses @oakpearl @yeryer please your thought on this? |

Alaska90: So you mean that with the new offering and new deal below this stock is stay away for now right?
Price now 1.33 pre-market
Gevo to raise $50M in direct offering
Gevo (NASDAQ:GEVO) inks agreements with institutional investors for the sale of 38,461,545 common shares at a purchase price of $1.30/share in a registered direct offering priced at-the-market, for expected gross proceeds of ~$50M.
Net proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.
Closing date is August 25.
GEVO gained 64.5% in yesterday's morning session after announcing the Trafigura deal. The agreement will lift the combined revenues from its long-term contracts to more than $1.5B. I actually expected it to have a bounce as the volume was massive; it traded almost a billion shares yesterday. What the whole NSE can trade in weeks lol. I mistimed the bounce and got in above $1.50, I set my stop loss at $1.4 and it hit it so I got out with a loss... I’m a trader. It’s actually holding up well currently and I expect a run later today tho I won’t be in it |

ViVaMadrid: Keep an eye on $GEVO (Gevo Inc) currently at $0.59. The COVID-19 pandemic hit this company hard in the first quarter. With business opening back up that run back to $2-$3 is on the cards If you were still holding that you’ll be rich now lol 300% |

Skymoore1004: Yup! You’re right.
I’m gonna sell by $1700; at least realistically I see it reaching there tomorrow from people reacting to the market today.
Then will re-enter when short sellers take profits. I don’t see it reaching $2k without a dip. Plus there’s still some days to the split for it to run up back and forth. Just my perception though You can sell half and rebuy more after the stock split. It’ll be about $300 then I think |

Coolcash1: Its good to be liquid but excess liquidity is bad. It makes no sense siting on a large pile of cash without using it to generate value for shareholders. Also, the past success enjoyed by the company from the unveiling of their iconic Iphone brands to me, seems to be over due to tough competition and gross imitation by the Chinese.
Therefore, there is need to exercise caution and not be carried away by the old glory of the company. Note that Iphone is their cash cow and if its sales is now threatened by competition and trade war between US and China (with china being their biggest market), your guess is as good as mine.
For me, i still maintain that Apple is overvalued as such the price needs to fall drastically.
DD still advised. Lol no way, if you think Apple relies on only iPhones that’s wrong. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/apple-fiscal-q3-2020-earnings-iphone-sales-wearables-services-2020-7%3famp They blew expectations, services revenue is almost half of iPhone revenue so although iPhones are the cash cow not like they’re a one trick pony like Netflix. Imagine selling that many iPhones during this pandemic they’re also planning to make their own chips which would reduce costs and aid vertical integration. They’re ditching intel who are making their chips. They’re moving to 5G, their iPhone 12 new features would release this morning https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/08/11/tech/apple-fall-release-5g-iphone/index.htmlThey also into future tech like AR... they aren’t just sitting on their laurels https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.slashgear.com/apple-glass-augmented-reality-transparent-lenses-production-roadmap-leak-smart-glasses-10628468/amp/You can say Tesla is overvalued but I don’t think Apple is... smart money like Buffett is in Apple. Apple is a stock you can buy now and leave for years to come back and meet it still up, they would reverse split it and it’ll keep going up. Later this month when it drops to about $100 and something I don’t see it staying there too long. |

Coolcash1: Whichever way you Slice or dice it, US market is a market where if you get your strategy right (either speculation or investing) you will be laughing to the bank.
It’s a market where you can be earning monthly cash flow from dividend. Also, enjoy robust and unprecedented capital appreciation on certain stocks with good strike.
The case of Kodak is a normal occurrence in the us market where investors react positively or negatively to a stock depending on the type of news about the stock. A clear indication that the market is efficient. If it’s Nigeria, a company would release good news and even go down further |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ebuka1997: 11:29am On Jul 30, 2020 |
onegentleguy: The share price of KODAK(NYSE: KODK) rose by as much as 2,189% in just 2 trading days(Tuesday and Wednesday) following a surge in price since the week began.(over 2440% rise)
And yes, it actually did happen !! ...as the stock rose from a band of $7 to $58 at some point.
Why? There was a news that the coy was awarded a $765 million act loan to produce generic drug ingredients for the fight against Covid-19. ...including hydroxychloroquine.(a drug substance touted as a plausible panacea to the virus) ...just that !!
So I took a close look at the company's financials to see if indeed the run was worth it. Analysis;
• In the 1st 3 months of 2020, the coy reported an over $110M loss in NET INCOME with revenue dropping by above 1,000bps. • Elsewhere, several key revenue and earnings lines were pressured downwards with some printing in the negative. ...EM/EPS, ROAE, ROAA, RoIC, AER and CGPR in view. Infact the last 2 lines showed clear signs of a likely distressed asset. • The coys cost line consistently grew faster than earnings margin QoQ over the last 7 quarters. • The company is embroiled in huge debt, a large chunk of which will be due for repayment by Q3/Q4 2021. ...with BS also riddled with a relatively high level of funding mismatches. • With a negative OCF, the coys CBR(cash burn rate) currently stands @ over $8M per month. ...the interpretation of this is that the company could become bankrupt if that burn runs for another 21 months.(bite on cash reserve in view) The coys ALTMAN-Z SCORE also lends a strong credence to this.
...and so for a company with a history of below par operational performance, poor management and cooperate governance framework, one wonders if such a surge in price was justified and if the company is indeed the best fit for such an award. Quite frankly, there should've been a better choice than KODAK !!
Essence of this post? Most assets in the US are not just overpriced but have gotten to a point where the combination of asset pricing and the quest for value has been completely replaced by RISK.(negative RR/reward in view)
Inference: Unless u are a perfect trader with absolute control of their emotion(fear-greed factor in view), it'll be best to stay off most US-exchange coys. Even then, u still need to thread very carefully, because no one is perfect. "When it rains, it'll most likely pour." For the most part, its now a speculators market. Remember; "The danger with SPECULATING in the stock market is that it is an adversary to any clear Investing STRATEGY. ...often times, 'it is neither here nor there' With 90% of the act, it is just like attempting to invent an idea that is already obsolete." ~Sinclair
"When a company within the stock market wants to quickly dispose of a 'building without a foundation', it auctions it to a SPECULATOR. An INVESTOR stays far away... a TRADER watches on... but it is the SPECULATOR who eventually buys the auction." ~Sinclair
...CAUTION !! Lol, bro US is where the money is na... don’t you want people to enjoy from Powell’s printing? God bless America |

Coolcash1: I did too. That is how an efficient market works unlike our NSE.
With depreciating level of naira, i am tempted to hold my investment in usd by selling off most of my stocks on nse and focus on us market. Good thing I got out yesterday, they released an offering that crashed price... these penny stocks can be something else. I’m also not in NSE now with this devaluation until CBN solves it |

Alaska90: @Oakpearl, YerYer, Ebuka1997, seyisanya and other gurus ........any contribution to this? My view is like the same way with the tech bubble and the emergence of tech stocks like Microsoft and amazon and Apple made people rich is the same way people lost on yahoo and blackberry and Nokia. No one can tell the stock in the sector that would be successful and it’s best to pick the stock with the best fundamentals however. Strong players like Qualcomm might be the first choice but most of their potential has already been priced in by analysts so it might not run too much but it is very balanced and would probably see a steady return and it is also American which is a plus as some Chinese 5G companies like zte and huawei are seeing ant-Chinese sentiment so they can potentially benefit from that. Nokia is another option that can benefit from this although it also has a high market cap already so the potential if ur having a run it little but it is steady. If you’re into penny stocks you can check the ticker GSAT, they have an agreement with Nokia and have a seminar coming up this week, their financials are bad like many penny stocks but these stocks run on hype. |
Health › Re: What Was Your Last Blood Pressure Test Result? by ebuka1997: 6:37pm On Jul 12, 2020 |
MAKABBEY: I am Makinde, an health researcher. Many of my research work and reports have helped hundreds of Nigerians to lower their high blood pressure and free them from the risk of having hypertension.
What ever the level of your blood pressure, there are safe natural supplements made from pure fruits, vegetable, herbs and roots that have worked for many people and put smiles on their faces as they glow in their good health. i know yours will not be an exemption.
What Was Your Last Blood Pressure Test Result?
I also believe you are on this page because you are having High Blood Pressure or probably you know someone who is having high blood pressure or you are here to add to your wealth of knowledge on High blood Pressure.
What is high blood pressure?
To simple put; The heart is a muscle that pumps blood around the body constantly during every second of our lives. High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90 mmHg or higher. Blood that has low oxygen levels is pumped towards the lungs, where oxygen supplies are replenished.
The oxygen rich blood is then pumped by the heart around the body to supply our muscles and cells. The pumping of blood creates pressure blood pressure.
Anyone whose blood pressure is 140/90 mmHg or more for a sustained period is said to have high blood pressure, or hypertension. So going back to my earlier question. What was your last Blood Pressure test result?
I am so sure you are aware of this, except if you have not sought for any medical care before.
Ideally, we should all have a blood pressure below 120 over 80 (120/80). This is the ideal blood pressure for people wishing to have good health. At this level, we have a much lower risk of heart disease or stroke.
If your blood pressure is optimal, this is great news. By following our healthy living advice, you will be able to keep it this way. If your blood pressure is above 120/80mmHg, you will need to lower it. Keep taking your medication as prescribed by your doctor. However, when you order for Our HPB pack, you will position yourself for a better result and eventually your doctor may have to reduce your medications until it is totally withdrawn.
