Fake Doctor Arrested For Stitching Woman's Womb And Urinary Tract Together In Ondo (Photo)
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 31-year-old man, Mr Olalekan Rabiu, for parading himself as a medical doctor and operating an illegal hospital, IGBERETV reports.
He had been practising and parading himself as the CMD of Iremide Private Hospital, Orita Ojo in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state, until he was arrested after a failed Caesarean Section on a pregnant woman at the hospital.
Parading the suspect at the command headquarters in Akure on Friday, December 23, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Oyediran Oyeyemi, said Rabiu was arrested by a team of special intervention squad when the report of unprofessionalism was reported against him.
The CP said the suspect carried out a Caesarean surgery on a pregnant woman (name withheld) who was later rushed to Mother and Child Hospital due to excessive bleeding from her private part.
"It was discovered that the self-acclaimed Doctor stitched the womb and the urinary tract together and it was discovered during the investigation that the suspect is not a Medical Doctor but attended School of Health Technology, Ijebu-Ode where he studied Community Health Extension Worker but has been deceiving the people with being a Medical Doctor," the CP said.
Speaking with newsmen, suspect admitted being a community health extension worker, saying he had been in the profession for seven years and confessed to operating on the pregnant woman.
He claimed that the operation was successful but the woman came back after 27 days to complain of bleeding.
Rabiu, who claimed that he had done one operation successfully in the past, said that he started doing operations when his brother bought a story building for him in 2015.
"Actually, I am not a doctor but I study community Health Extension worker at Ijebu Ode School of Health. Although I was a little bit talented in the line and there was no helper if not I would have returned to school but I am planning to go back to school now," he said.
"The woman was brought to my clinic and after examining her I discovered that she cannot put to bed on her own. After the examination, I explained to her relatives about her condition because I checked her ultrasound result and I discovered she is 43 weeks pregnant the baby was already distressed and they gave me the go-ahead to operate on her to save the woman and the baby.
“So, when she came back after 10 days for a check I discovered that she did not take any drugs and is not hygienic at all.
"After 27 days of operation, she came back again, complaining of vagina bleeding and to save her life I referred her immediately to Truman centre in Ondo town.
"I just want people to help me. I have a nine months old pregnant wife at home now, I promise that I will not do it again," he said.

A Nigerian man, Osita Osinachi has asked the public to help him locate the family members of one of his female tenants identified as Blessing Effiong who died in one of his apartments, IGBERETV reports.
Taking to his Facebook page, Osita stated that the lady moved into his apartment in November and sadly died some days ago in the apartment after a brief illness. He stated that he was arrested by the police following her demise but that he was able to settle his way out. He is now seeking public help to locate her family members.
He wrote;

First Bank Notes Featuring King Charles Is Unveiled By Bank Of England (Photos)
The Bank of England has unveiled its first banknotes featuring King Charles III, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The notes are expected to enter circulation in mid-2024, gradually replacing those featuring Charles’s late mother, who began appearing on paper money in 1960.
The Royal Mint, which produces the UK’s coins, has already revealed its currency with the King’s likeness, created by the sculptor Martin Jennings.
There are currently 27 billion coins in circulation carrying the Queen’s face, which will be replaced over time as they become worn.
The new King Charles 50p coins have already entered circulation.

The World Bank has raised an alarm about the negative effect the Naira redesign will have on Nigeria's economic activity
In a new report titled “Nigeria Development Update”, the international financial institution said the Naira redesign might have an adverse effect on SMEs and poor Nigerians due to its timing and short transition period.
It partly read;
“While periodic currency redesigns are normal internationally and the naira does appear to be due for it since naira notes have been redesigned for two decades, the timing of and short transition period for this demonetization may have negative impacts on economic activity, in particular for the poorest households.
“International experience suggests that rapid demonetizations can generate significant short-term costs, with small-scale businesses, and poor and vulnerable households, potentially being particularly affected due to being liquidity-constrained and heavily reliant on day-to-day cash transactions.
“At present, households and firms already face elevated financial pressures from prolonged, high inflation, recently compounded by external food and fuel price shocks, and the severe floods, and phasing out existing naira notes over a short time period may add to their challenges.”
South African Police Officer Accused Of Killing His 2 Girlfriends Commits Suicide In Prison Cell (Photos)
The South African police officer, accused of killing his two girlfriends has been found dead in his cell at Westville prison.
Correctional services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo, who confirmed on Monday, December 19, 2022, said that Const Mlungisi Blessing Sikhakane had taken his life.
“He committed suicide by hanging,” Nxumalo told TimesLIVE.
Police had been notified, and an inquest into the death in custody had been launched.
Sikhakhane allegedly murdered Sthembile Ngobese, 23, and Enhle Majozi, 18, both from KwaNyuswa near Hillcrest, in October.
It is alleged that the officer, who was stationed at Hillcrest police station, was dating both women at the time of the murders.
Sikhakhane, 27, who faced two murder charges abandoned his bail application last month and requested a magistrate from outside the Pinetown district to handle his case.
However in a U-turn last week Sikhakhane’s attorney told the court he intended to reapply for bail.
Prosecutor Nomcebo Xulu told the court last week they received the postmortem results and are waiting for ballistic results and video footage. Regarding the requested date, Xulu said the investigating officer was going on leave until January 15.
The case was adjourned to January 19 for a formal bail application. Xulu said the state would oppose bail.
Action SA leader in KwaZulu-Natal, Zwakele Mncwango, who attended the case, said: “The families were hoping to get closure by hearing from him of what really happened and why he killed them. Unfortunately, the families will never get answers because Mlungisi decided to commit suicide yesterday inside Westville prison.
“We hope correctional services will investigate he was able to hang himself inside the prison cell."
A petition which was started by Majozi’s relative Precious Ndwalane on Change.org, has gained over 8,000 signatures in opposition to Sikhakane’s bail application, before he decided to kill himself.
"Enhle and another girl, Sithembile Ngobese (24), were both in a relationship with the police officer who is believed to have shot and killed both of them at his house. Enhle and Sithembile were shot in the head and other parts of their bodies and were declared dead by paramedics," the petition read.
"11 empty cartridges were found at the scene of the crime. The accused police officer is being held in custody and his bail hearing was postponed to November 7 2022 at the Pinetown Magistrate Court,” the petition stated.
"The accused police officer, Mlungisi Blessing Sikhakhane, took away my brother’s firstborn daughter and Nomsa’s only child. He also took the life of Sithembile.
"Two families have suffered an unimaginable loss at the hands of a man who swore to serve and protect.
"Enhle and Sithembile died a senseless and cruel death. The very thought of him walking the streets and potentially going back to his job is scary and terrifying. Our families are at risk and we don’t even want to imagine him doing this to yet another innocent family.
"Society has no place for a man like Mlungisi. The police force has no place for an officer like Mlungisi. Enhle and Sithembile deserve justice. They had their whole lives and he recklessly took away their future and left us in deep hurt and unbearable suffering."

Homosexual Arrested For Raping 5-Year-Old Boy To Death In Ogun (Photo)
Men of the Ogun state Police Command on Friday, November 25th arrested a 36-year-old homosexual identified as Sikiru Ajibola for allegedly raping a 5-year-old boy to death in Ogijo area of Ogun state.
The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Ogijo divisional headquarters by the CDA Chairman of Olorunwa Arogbeja Ogijo, who stated that one of the community members informed him that the suspect had unlawful carnal knowledge of a 5 years old boy, consequence upon which the innocent boy died in the process.
Upon the report, the DPO Ogijo division, CSP Enatufe Omoh, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested. On interrogation, the arrested suspect confessed to being a homosexual and that while he was raping the deceased boy, the boy gave up the ghost.
He confessed further that he quickly dug a shallow grave in a nearby bush, where he buried the boy.
He has also taken policemen to where the deceased was buried.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution.

Bianca Ojukwu Marks Wedding Anniversary With Story Of Cake Maker Despising Her (Photo)
Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Biafra leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu has marked her wedding anniversary as she revealed that a cake maker in Enugu refused to make her wedding cake because the cake maker thought Bianca was poor and of low class, IGBERETV reports.
Sharing a photo which captured her wedding cake, Bianca wrote on Facebook;
"NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY THE COVER… Each time I see this picture, the rather funny but sad story of this wedding cake on the left comes to mind. I was told by a good friend, during my wedding preparations that there was a lady based at Enugu that makes great wedding cakes. Infact my friend, though not familiar with the lady, offered to take me to hers.
Dressed rather casually, I decided to park my own Mercedes and I joined my friend in her own car which was a cute looking but modest Volkswagen (known as Beetle in those days) and she drove us to the cake maker’s place.
Upon our arrival, The popular cake maker, (whose name I withhold for obvious reasons) totally oblivious of my identity, took one derisive look at the car we arrived in, and was not impressed. I told her I needed her to make my wedding cake, and she started coming up with all manner of excuses.
First, she told me her cakes were very expensive and I definitely would not be able to afford it ( at 25,000 naira in those days), and offered to direct me to a cheaper cake place, stressing that she only makes cakes for important personalities ( even going ahead to drop names..such as one Union bank manager, one boutique owner, etc who in her estimation were ‘dignitaries’) but I told her that I could manage to afford it.
She then asked where the wedding was taking place and I told her it was at Abuja. She said I would have to pay for her transportation to Abuja to mount the cake and that since she only travels by air, not road, this added cost would be difficult for me to carry, to which I replied that I would pay.
She raised the issue of hotel accommodation, which I assured her, would be taken care of. My friend kept nudging me and whispering in my ear, ‘ Tell this woman who you are so she can put a stop to these nonsense questions’, to which I replied no. I was secretly amused, albeit perplexed at that moment about human nature and social climbers, which by her attitude, this lady clearly was .
What I found surprising was that the lady herself was definitely not well off, her own car was an old Corolla, her surroundings not plush, and she was merely one of those ‘I must belong by all means’ type of people, yet she had the temerity to look down on others she considered not ‘rich’.
To cut a long story short, still not convinced that I could afford her services ( judging by my casual dressing and the modest ride, which was not even mine, meaning I probably had no vehicle of my own), she briskly discharged us both, telling me to drop my number, and that she would call me.
I dropped my number with her under my Igbo name Odinaka, and we left. I never heard from her again.
I simply took up a generous offer from the Canadian chef at the Nicon Hilton Abuja then, who was a master baker, and my gigantic multi tiered wedding cake was made at no cost at all, simply as PR to market and advertise the Hotel’s services.
The Enugu based cake maker, one day, just a week to the wedding, saw the television broadcasts of our impending wedding which was a big event at the time, and realised it was me who had come to her place for a wedding cake.
She flew into a panic and quickly managed to find her way to my house, and started begging, with all kinds of bland explanations, asking why I didn’t introduce myself ‘appropriately’ ( by which she meant as a ‘VIP’), and even offering to make the cake free of charge, but it was too late.
On this day, a beautiful breezy day in November 1994, it was a memorable wedding ceremony at the Nicon Noga Hilton ( Today’s Transcorp Hilton), Abuja, the first wedding event ever hosted there. And it was grand…
This life size multi step cake seen in this picture, much bigger and more lavish than any conceivable one the Enugu cake maker could ever have offered, was donated by the management of the Hilton.
The Enugu based Cake maker lost a great opportunity to showcase her skills and her product since the event was telecast across the country..TV, radio, Newspapers, Magazines and every conceivable news medium with the Hilton Master Baker taking the cake credits.
This advertisement masterstroke greatly boosted the Hilton Events hosting business and facilitated countless more weddings at the same Congress Hall at Hilton. Last I heard, the Cakemaker’s business has since folded after she faced some difficulties in her business several years ago.
Moral of this true life experience is, NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER. We are all human beings,created equally before God, if not before man, regardless of our status in life.
The tragedy of our times is that so many go through this sort of scenario on a daily basis but sadly with a different outcome.
I could shrug this Cakemaker’s attitude off , being myself, a person of means relating incognito, knowing that she could not even scratch the surface of my net worth, and that I was possibly doing her a favour by opting for her services because of the significant publicity it would bring her , but what of my friend in whose car we drove there, who was a modest earner living within her means, and who it became clear, goes through this disdain on a regular basis from these types of social climbing crabs ? When did it become an offence to own or drive a beetle?
The truth is that so many folks are this way inclined, and it is downright despicable.
We must never relate to others based solely on who or what they are, what they have, what car they ride or how expensively or poorly they are dressed…Everyday people lose opportunities to forge valuable ties and long lasting friendships because of their snobbish outlook.
……and best of all, when one door closes, another greater one will open by Divine mercies. I lost a molehill but gained a mountain.

Usifo Ataga Murder: Police Forced Me To Sign A Statement They Wrote – Chidinma Ojukwu
Chidinma Ojukwu, the murder suspect of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, has alleged that she was forced by the police to sign a statement they wrote, IGBERETV reports.
Chidinma made the claim while appearing before a Lagos High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Thursday, November 17.
The former 300-level Mass Communication undergraduate of the University of Lagos who is standing trial alongside one Adedapo Quadri and her sister, Chioma Egbuchu, claimed that the two statements she wrote were torn and she was forced to sign the one allegedly written by ASP Olusegun Bamidele.
Asides from being forced to sign another statement allegedly dictated to her by officer Olufunke Madeyinlo, the murder suspect also claimed that Bamidele asked her to rehearse the statement and narrate it to the Commissioner of Police (CP).
She further alleged that before being taken to the CP’s office at Ikeja, her hands were handcuffed to the chair she sat from June 23 till the next morning on June 24, 2021.
Recounting how her ordeal in the hands of the police began, Chidinma disclosed that she was in her room at their house, at No. 47 Akinwunmi St., Alagomeji Yaba, on June 23, 2021, when her 10-year-old little sister informed her that there were men at the sitting room asking after her.
She said after coming to the sitting room to see them, they asked if she was Chidinma and she answered yes. They reportedly asked her the whereabouts of Mr Ataga’s phone and the Range Rover jeep and she said she did not know.
Chidinma said when the police arrested her, she asked her father to call their family lawyer, Mr Onwuka Egwu.
She said that she was taken to DCP Razak Oseni’s office where police officers asked her a lot of questions.
The former undergraduate said;
“We went back to my house and back to the DCP’s office.
“At DCP’s office, he asked me questions. I told him that I don’t know anything about the death of Mr Ataga, that was when they made the video that was played in court.
“The DCP said I should make my statement. IPO Bamidele, therefore, took me to the interrogating room with Mr Chris, and gave me a blank statement form and asked me to write what happened.
“I started writing, Bamidele took my left hand and handcuffed it to the chair. I wrote what I narrated at the DCP’s office.
“While I was writing, Bamidele took the statement from me, read it and said it was not what happened.
“I told him, sir, what I am writing is what happened. I also told him that I asked my father to call my lawyer, he said my Dad cannot make a call that he was in custody with them. I then started writing the statement.
“When he took the statement from me and said this is not what happened. I told him sir, this is what happened. I received two slaps from the back from Mr Jemiyo.
“Jemiyo and Chris were sitting behind me, the only person facing me was Bamidele. He said, ‘you are going to write the truth’.
“He tore all the statements I had written and presented another blank statement form. I told him, ‘sir, I was writing the truth, you tore it’.
“He said if I do not comply, my family, my Dad, 10-year-old sister and my relatives will be charged with this murder case."
Also recounting how officer Bamidele allegedly brought out his phone, played the video of the scene at the apartment and showed her pictures of Mr Ataga’s body, Chidinma said the police officer then asked her to write, and while writing, the officer allegedly slapped her and said she was slow.
When she told the officer that she was not feeling well, she claimed that the officer took the statement form from her and wrote the statement for her and handcuffed her hands to the chair.
“This is what you are going to say or else your family will be charged.
“He read the statement to me again and told me to rehearse it, that tomorrow (June 24, 2021), I will take it to the CP’s office and say that’s what happened.
“He left me there, it was around midnight”.
Chidinma also claimed that when the officers came back in the morning, they asked her to sign the statement.
During cross-examination by the prosecution, Oluwafemi, she affirmed that she signed the statements. She claimed that the second statement was dictated while the first was written.
When asked if she reported to anybody that she was slapped and that her head was hit on the table, she said “I did not report to anybody because there was nobody to report to”.
After Chidinma's testimony at the trial, the judge gave the prosecution and the defence 14 days each to file their written addresses in the trial within trial.
Justice Adesanya then adjourned the case until January 11, 2023, for the adoption of final written addresses in the trial within trial.

A 27-year-old man identified as Shedrack, has been called out for allegedly dumping his pregnant wife and moving in with the event planner who planned their wedding, IGBERETV reports.
Shedrack is being accused of cheating on his pregnant wife with different women, and allegedly flogged her at the slightest provocation.
Facebook user, Ella Skincare who shared the story, also alleged that Shedrack was not present when their first child was born.
Attached to the post she shared are bank receipts capturing the transfers he made to the event planner he was allegedly cheating on his wife with, and chats with other women he allegedly cheated on her with.

The man beats up his pregnant wife at the slightest of her mentioning the ladies name to the extent she was admitted to the hospital for three days because her water broke at 8 months, which she survived, and on several occasions beats up his wife to the extent of breaking phones he bought for her and seizing. The General Overseer of Royalty Christian Centre, Lagos, Pastor David Adeoye has questioned why women are made to feel solely responsible for infertility in marriages, IGBERETV reports.
While preaching on the title, "a happy home is not necessarily a perfect home", the pastor questioned why only women come out in church for fertility prayers, but men refuse to.
He proceeded to ask the congregation if it is only women that have infertility issues.
He also questioned why men abandon their wives because their union have not produced children.
He also cautioned men who go about telling people that their wives are witches.
"If you say your wife is a witch, then you need to be investigated, because it takes a wizard to marry a witch," he said.
David Adeoye's wife, Sunmbo Adeoye, approved of her husband's message and she left a comment.
Woman Stops Giving Tithes In Church, Uses The Money To Build A House For Her Widowed Neighbour
A Kenyan woman, Mary Nkatha has narrated how she managed to build a house for her widowed neighbour who was living in a dilapidated house, IGBERETV reports.
Nkatha said she got a lucrative business deal last year and instead of making donations in church, she instead opted to save the money for a house.
Speaking to Tuko Kenya, Nkatha said she stopped giving offerings and tithes in church and decided to build a house for her neighbour who has been struggling since the death of her husband.
"After I thought about how pastors are taking advantage of other Kenyans in the name of tithe, I stopped giving in church and instead saved all that money so that I could build a house for my struggling neighbour," she said.
Nkatha said when the idea came to mind, she approached the widow who was living in a shanty and conveyed her interest to build her a better house and she gladly accepted.
The house is now complete and her neighbour is now living comfortably
Nkatha said she still goes to church but has stopped giving tithes and offerings.

Sonia, the daughter of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has begged members of the public to donate kidney to her.
The young woman, whose parents are currently facing charges of organ harvesting in the United Kingdom, took to her Instagram page on Monday to make the plea.
She said, “I, Sonia Ekweremadu, hereby appeal to the general public to come to my aid and save my life.
“I dropped out of my postgraduate studies at the University of Newcastle in 2019 when I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, FSGS Nephrotic Syndome. My family has battled to save my life and has taken me to various hospital but the illness persisted and kept degenerating. I’m alive today by the special grace of God. I am presently in London, UK, receiving five hours of dialysis 3-4 times a week. This is at the expense of my family as I am not qualified for NHS due to m immigration status.
“The charges being faced by my parents in London presently are directly connected to my illness and have completed matter for me and my family.
“In the circumstance above. I am appealing to anybody whom it may please to asset e willingly with a kidney donation in the name of God.”
