thebigkendo:E no get wer e reach. Men go still link up baba |
AmuDimpka:Big man, I understand you perfectly, at least we are both very practical men. Although your 100k odometer analogy is a bit off. Now take a look at both attached pictures (daily drivers); Lexus IS is at 159,510 km (almost at 100k miles on the dot), Merc E320 is at 376,527 km (236k miles or so). Lexus still runs on factory recommended oil, Merc runs on 15w50, thinking of changing to 20w50 if oil shortage intervals increase beyond the current threshold. Irrespective of popular opinion or expert advise - I'm not going to replace or repair/rebuild anything, that engine go work him money complete, but you see that IS? Na only fresh Mobil 1/Castrol we go give am until him cheap engine decide kaput too. **abeg make una pretend say una no see the Lexus TRAC and VSC wahala. As well as my speed sensor issues wer don activate ESP/ABS malfunctions for Benz. As for SRS na normal thing.

banky3w:No worries big men. Carnival proper should be 26-29th December. Although, dry runs have started. |
thebigkendo:Na small challenge |
banky3w:Baba, you don talk everything finish. |
Thebigkendo you wan come calabar for carnival? those tailored ads are something else |
banky3w:Big man, say no more! I will ship to anywhere for a token (oil is free, just pay for shipping).
|
As usual, the house will argue and argue and still agree to disagree. If an engine is still putting out optimal or close to factory performance, use the recommended oil - short and simple! If your engine has seen better days and nearing the end of its run cycle, it makes no economic sense whatsoever to use expensive oils for lubrication. |
radautoworks:Nice info regarding the anti-freeze part - I'm not a cheapskate when it comes to vehicle maintenance, but then again, that depends largely on the vehicle's condition. For example, my Benz shorts a litre of coolant every 800-1000km (a minute leak, i haven't been bothered to trace), a quartz every 2500-3000km. And I move around a lot, infact I average well over 800kms weekly with that car, so I use the cheap coolant for it. Also use 15w50 oil on it, for other cars I go by the book and stick to manufacturer recommendations. |
nonhuman:Get this, it's pre-mixed. Got this from Gazzuzz some while ago for a Corolla - I believe Radautoworks also have it in stock. There are lots of fakes in the market, mixed with tap water and dye
|
Lovely exhaust tips ![]() |
GAZZUZZ:It's another Tuesday, you should keep an eye out for a SOLD manual corolla with an auto option |
jayboy007:I know a spare parts dealer who recently butchered one. If location of Bedwell, Calabar isn't a problem. Mention me on a dead thread and I'll give you his number or better still send a pm and I'll respond with his phone number. |
This is sad, very sad. Count your losses and move on. |
20dollarblogs - Hope you've finally gotten home. That road is not motorable, if you don't have an aversion to water (I highly doubt you do, assuming you're from the South East). Next time take a drop to Oron from Uyo (30 mins or so), Jump on a speed boat (another 30-35 mins), and you'll find yourself in calabar. That Itu-Odukpani road has taken and will continue to take until it takes a prominent Nigerian before both states and the Federal Government take charge. |
Thegamingorca:Arrange original one and your problems go finish. If not you go buy, buy tire. Especially when you throttle that motor |
Thegamingorca:I don suffer this level well. Check that adjuster very well, check it again, in short replace it with the rollers. And try to get an original fan belt while you are it. Contact Aunty Radu for one. Long time, still on PS4 yeah? Had you on my PSN. can't remember your nickname ![]() |
banky3w:That's on a lighter note anyway, one of them will definitely have. |
banky3w:The discount been mad. [s]She bin dey mention something like 25 litres of full synthetic for 50k[/s] (no quote me on the oil qty abeg). ![]() |
banky3w:Oil-tober las las we go put am mineral oil, rest. |
banky3w:Baba G and Aunty Rad no fit run out of stock. In short make I call Dru come, if him no get original oyel then the world is coming to an end |
ojeysky:There's nothing to diagnose there again, keep small lite change for radiator and coolant tank (very certain you'll change that also) - With 15k-20k, you can have that vehicle towed to her workshop. Even with traffic won't take up to 90 mins. And be prepared to wait at least 2 days - hope you're aware, other miscellaneous expenses could set in (assuming one or two hoses are gone or even the water pump or thermostat). Also keep money for Mobil 1 ![]() |
rationalmind:You na oga, normally - show us proof say you want leave Benz for Civic dave4rella:Anytime big man |
dave4rella:Call am if you dey serious, show proof of down payment. I go balance am for you. |
zayidhs:For now! I will always posit that mineral oils should only be used in an engine that is nearing its useful life pending rebuild or outright replacement. |
ojeysky:Very easy fix - radautoworks and oluwaseunla please come here - help him check his cooling system. |
rationalmind:I spoke of the launching of the outfit sometime ago and provided invites to some persons who were interested. Name nor phone number was hidden, have nothing to be worried about - most persons on cartalk are friends outside... Just disappointed he didn't use his main moniker to complain, wonder what assuage people derive creating wanton identities online. |
rationalmind:Name is Edet, Most friends know me as Eddee offline . - I know how he placed the name, long story. mammanbawa:I no see need to drag the issue, he wants tables. He has them now, and besides can't afford to turn away customers now. |
HeavenlyBang:Thanks bros. The guy man get every right to vex, however for this club/hotel hustle dem no dey look Uche face, if not you go bankrupt! |
Smartchoiice:The M35, Merc isn't in a condition to be driven. Howdy big man? |
Fredo268:Hello Fred, First and foremost, I apologise for the inconveniences you've faced. Not making any excuses but you've raised some salient points, I'll try to address. I'm not involved in the running of that business, and left the office briefly because I was informed that ' a friend from online or something like that was making a scene ' and was demanding to see me - didn't know you were still upstairs when i drove in, and the manager was already at the car park - so there was no need to come inside. Besides, that Infiniti won't start immediately, if you turn it off. A CPS issue, which I am yet to fix. Couldn't leave the vehicle again because of that. Managing it for the time being. Secondly, there's no justification for their actions or inactions. But, it's no secret that club managers or supervisors have a monthly target to meet, and the last thing he needs is anyone undermining his authority unnecessarily. You had a verbal agreement, good and fine, but the budget you informed them of initially is different from what you are proposing to spend today. Finally, no offence but clubs sell tables, a birthday on a Friday night will take up precious space - and the profit margins or price markups for your selected drink outlay isn't commensurate with the space that will be occupied, infact some of those drinks aren't sold in the VIP area. I'm glad we've spoken and settled this, happy birthday bro. Next time man up and post with your main moniker or this method of seeking redress won't work. |
EgunMogaji2:Who uses permanent marker to inflate all these oil prices? I get 15w50 for 7,300 and Q5000 is 4,800 down here.
