Nairaland General › Lady Who Imprisoned In China With The Plan Of Her Friend by ednited(op): 4:07pm On Feb 01, 2019 |
An Ethiopian lady was caught in China and jailed with out her mistake.
First, her very close childhood friend offered her to go to China with her. She was really excited because she was a civil engineering graduate and she hoped her travel will help her improve her skills.
. . . . .
When it was time to go, her Child hood friend told her that her dad passed away and that she can't make it for the moment. But she ordered her to pass 3 hair shampoos and human hair to someone she know in China.
. . . . .
Her flight was great, she passed Addis Ababa airport but when she reached in the China airport, it was investigated that the so called 'hair shampoo' had a drag named herroin in it.
. . . .
She was thrown in prison even though she explained she has no idea about all that happened. Her parents went to China to see her and defend her but they were not allowed to reach there. In China, being caught with drug could lead to death penality and many were killed in China last year for the sam reason. |

Has anyone tried the IQ tests??
I once heard on the radio that the Falashas ( Ethiopian Jews) had an IQ test and they were asked to eat a pasta for the test.
This is not fair! I mean almost all Africans has a bad record on IQ test and I've always wondered why. They say IQ test is dependent on the amount of food the exam receiver eats. They kinda let us beleive that Africa is doing bad on the test because of hunger. What type is this? ? ?
It's like testing us how Europeans we are than checking our brilliance. These whites are playing game |

rvp20182: Kenya is leading exporter of apparrel to US under AGOA.We export around 400-500m dollars worth of apparrel.Ethiopia is rising but it probably doing 150m worth of exports to US& Europe.I believe Lesotho is second to Kenya.I know Ethiopia are excited because this new industry but Kenya for export textile industry is as old as AGOA and we've been making those Tom Hilfiger jeans for a long time. I always thought Ethiopia is one of the biggest exporter in textile. Maybe the number of industrial parks we have and everything mislead me. But soon, I think we will turn the story. Only the hawassa industrial park will make a big change Is there any brand in Kenya developing as Sole Rebels of Ethiopia? This actually goes to Nigerians too Guys, can we at least name 5 African brands getting international? Only in the fashion industry, forget dangote |

For Ghana,
I am a huge fan of your journalists! They are standing against corruption and we all need that. After I heard the killing of one of them, I got really pissssed and dissapointed. This is really sad. Big up for the journalist who won the award recently (I forgot his name, I think his name starts with A tho). That is the spirit we are looking for in Africa. |

And how come you beat Ethiopia on textile industry? I can't see that |

kikuyu1: Happy new year, sweetie! Saudis are secretly funding both terror and Islamic fundamentalism. Here, they're funding madrassas to buy their way into heaven since a Muslim can have all sins forgiven if he converts just one Christian. Also Somalis are using their funds to buy up property though, imo it may be a Somali agenda. Thank you so much! Yeah I didn't like the Arab move |

[quote author=rvp2018 post=75220994]There is barely anything Saudi here in Kenya. I think there is private activity from Dubai & Qatar. I don't think Saudis & the arabs are "intelligent" enough to do anything serious.
I think Turkey would be a welcome partner & threat. I think turkey are slowly spreading their tentacles in Africa.
I see the Saudis interest in Ethiopia screaming EGYPT.
IT'S A TROJAN HORSE. THEY WANT TO STOP DAMMING OF NILE.
so what better way than to shackle Ethiopia.
kenya need to welcome the turkish - and we are not doing
I fear Turkey. Turkey invest a lot in here.
Saudis are not in Kenya but they kinda are getting the horn in their hand. Which will affect Kenya any time soon.
Arabs may not be intelligent but what do we know if U.S.A is showing them the way.You know how Saudi and America are close. They are team now. |

Jonraid: We are not a true democracy but we are better than most African countries in that front. The press freedom here is immense,be free to insult the president if you wish.As for the airline,it's a normal thing coming together and see how you can improve each other.Kenya airways is keen on partnering any airline in joint ventures for a win win partnership for all parties! You guys read newspaper a lot. I am not sure but 'Kenya daily' is the biggest media (newspaper) you rely on to get information. That is a good thing to excercise. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by ednited(f): 9:53am On Jan 29, 2019 |
rvp2018: Kenya hold elections every 5yrs. Uhuru is on his 2nd and last term so won't be eligible. There is talk of constitutional change to accommodate more political elite and satisfy more tribal interests. We shall see how it pans out - next election will be held in August 2022.
Kenya democracy is obviously amongst the best in Africa. I think Ghana seem definitely ahead of us. Our politics hobbled though by ethnicity - and has a long way to get to isssue-based politics.
Kenya has freedom of press/ name it.
As regard Kenya Airways. I think the big deal breaker if that we are handing our main airport (JKIA -NBO) to kenya Airways like you've done to ET in Bole. That way KQ balance sheet can be butress and can face all these new & old airplines that depend on gov largesses. KQ until it hit the head winds was on it's on - a private company - now it slowly becoming a public company.
KQ will ran JKIA for 30yrs - and that should help them face competition.
South Africa Airways I think is beyond being salvage. We shall see but it's indebted to the eyeballs and has not made profit the last 7yrs. Out of topic but now it concerned me so I want to talk about it. Arab Gulf states are throwing their eyes into horn of Africa. Saudi Arabia is showing too much interest in Ethiopia that the country is lending huge amount of money to Ethiopia and they are trying to invest here a lot. Saudi Arabia is one cause for the fall of Yemen and does it not bother the entire region of the horn?? There is a rumour problems are arising in Djibouti and many happening in Sudan. South Sudan isn't still stable and Somalia is a failed state. Ethiopia has her own complex problems and Kenya is still beaten with terrorism. Eritrea ports are handed by the Arabs. And Arab Gulf countries are getting really close. U.S.A don't like seeing glory in Africa but U.S.A doesn't seem any mad for Arab getting close. Why?? A neighbouring country is influential to its neighbours while all in the horn are chained with struggles. If the horn is now infected, tomorrow it's east Africa. How do you see the presence of Saudi in Africa? What is your take on this?? |

edon21: see If I may ask. . why is U.S.A fighting for democracy? Do they really want democracy or what democracy could cause. Not always do democracy has a good outcome. They force you to give democracy then shape the media for people to fight eachother. You block media, then they come back and press you. |

1. When will the election in Kenya take place? I haven't heard a Kenyan opposing Uhuru Kenyatta that much but you think that man is doing great?? Are you guys sure that there is democracy in your country. I do know there is a big press freedom but still. . .
Be free to say what you feel because in this thread it's like 'If I tell the truth, they will make fun of my country'
And plus, I heard South Africa, Kenya and one other African country is uniting on the Airline industry. Is it true?? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by ednited(f): 9:25am On Jan 29, 2019 |
rvp2018: Fact is most of international media have their Africa or at least regional HQ in Nairobi - CNN, Reuters, BBC, Chinese, name them.
Ethiopia and Nigeria also don't have freedom of press you find in Nairobi. International media cannot just go and report.
Also kenya terrorism normally target western interests - so obviously there is interest in international media. Remember we have press freedom now. Trust me, it's not about the international media. Let it not happen but if Kenya become messed up, no more news |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by ednited(f): 9:16am On Jan 29, 2019 |
rvp20182: Nairobi is the international media HQ..so journalists have to fly from Nairobi to Maiduguri Nigeria which so much hassle they rather do stories in Nairobi. Sorry for being late to pass my condolence to every Kenyan citizen for the attack of Al Shabbab. But I don't think your statement is right. Because when you think about it, Ethiopia is right next to Kenya but still the issues of Ethiopia are not being told Kur17, probably it's because the countries you have mentioned including Nigeria has been having hard times for a very long time now that hearing bad news from there is now a habit. No one reports every time a gun is shot in Syria because it happens all the time. Maybe it would be a news if these countries settled |
