Yet this those not changed the fact that Ethiopia claims ownership of this region and is recognized as Ethiopia both within and outside of Ethiopia. infact this argument does not change Ethiopia’s past as a colony if that region that was formerly part of Ethiopia was colonized.

Good and that is true.

Your premises does not follow thru, if those part were once and part of the empire. it become its history. and to the second question. i am not an authority on the subject either but know fully well, any unproven evidence will be disqualify and that is what i just did.

first, i am not a Kenyan, and to your question, Do you have any evidence for it.
I think we are comming at the same point on the colonization part. My premises didn't follow but Eritrea is Eritrea not Ethiopia now. . . hmmmm. . . .but still present Ethiopia is not colonized. I am confused now, I will come back on that later

I am not saying you are Kenyan. I am trying to show you how I can't just make things about country's identity. I was trying that on Kenya

i wanted to ignore you, but on another look, some reader may think, you have made a point. if there is any traces of ignorant here. it should be you.

i care less about Ethiopia poverty or her GDP, my argument is simple. Ethiopia was colonised both by british and italian and i have gave my reasons as to why, if you think it is false argument base on the drum of ignorance that has been beaten to your skull, let me know.

perharps, you could argued your point out insteas of the foul mouth, you being an Ethiopia does not make you an authority on the subject.
Maybe you will agree with this one

Northern part of Ethiopia was colonized by British which is now Eritrea.

Eatern part of Ethiopia was colonized by British, which was part of Somalia which is now part of Ethiopia.

But Ethiopia is not colonized.
You being an African does not make you an authority of the subject. You can't make things about any county's identity.

Do I have the right to say

Jomo Kenyatta was a man who spread colonization??

i know that....dont get too pissed,we are all toghether in this historical madness, wheather you like it or not....

actualy it was haiti that managed to realy defeat them in battle....and that was when those basstard were already extremly strong with weapons.....

but look at haiti today....

forget afro americans....they are different type of people today like indians....they dont care about you....
I recommend you to come to Addis and visit a museum in entoto so things would be clear for you.

I understand what you mean. Countries ever colonized are not in a good state today, which is why I see some black people being thankful for being colonized. That is like the worst thinking. Let me try to stop others who think like that this way

Time when Ethiopia was an empire, we were doing fine without any colonizer. Ever since the thought of colonization appeared , every African country has been affected directly and indirectly. Do you not think the whites have no revenge on us? Let me remind you that the Italians came years after we kicked them for the revenge. It is shameful and disappointment for whites to loose to black people. Leave alone loosing in war, you already know that sharing same bus with black is disappointing enough for them. Stop thanking for being colonized, because what have your black nations gained from thathuh Their plan is for other Africans not to look for an inspiration like Ethiopia (for seeking freedom).
Ancient whites use to hurt us visibly, today many things are happening you without realizing. They unite to break the chain of black community while we are voluntarily breaking it ourselves. It was Ethiopia vs. Italy but the white community vs. Ethiopia is happening now. If black people don't support to save eachother's stories, we are just hopeless modern slaves. They made us small that now no one believes me when I tell many Ethiopian written documents are stolen. The media draws bad images about us and fool every one.

White people are actually smart. They offend but has stole and learned millions of things from black community. While we blacks are the same people but don't manage to learned any thing from eachother. It'd time to stop falling into white people plans if you hear me

ednited,i dont remember ethiopia been colonized like other african nations....

soooo, dont bother....things like this happen with people that dont know....

but what is colonization....??
you can actualy lump ethiopia to colonization too, because you people didnt managed to kick those colonizers in the face too....
Yes we did kick them. Actually three times but only battle of Adwa is recognized.

Colonization is when people fall on the rules and orders of colonizers.Which haven't happened in Ethiopia during the occupation.

Now when I think about it. . .I think my anger was caused by videos that shows black people are being non sense. Including African Americans. That really touched me

I will tell you about real life. In calabar, there is a museum which tells Ethiopia is colonized. And this man even says ET is colonized by Italy and British. We have to end fooling ourselves saying it will be okay. We don't want to face reality but this is reality. Your great grand kids will think the whole Africa is colonized wait for that. The eastern region of Ethiopia was colonized by the British. The northern part of the region called Haud and the rest Ogaden, named after the group of people that inhabit it was also colonized Haud was part of British Somaliland. Ogaden was part of Italian Somaliland for a more than four years , when Italian Somaliland which included the eastern portion of present-day Ethiopia .
You are an African righthuh Please please please At least know just a little about other African countries. It is people like you who make wrong maps and put in the museum saying the whole Africa was colonized. Rather than fighting on the GDP stuffs, fight illiteracy. I am not sorry I am mean

Same goes to every Kenyan here. If it makes you feel proud and big having big GDP, then here it is. . . Ethiopia has lower GDP, lower civilization, low literacy and is low on everything are you happy now? Make a party for that

My Sister’s Remark on Ethiopia
Ethiopia is a very great country with warm and friendly people. Amharic and English is their official Language. Over 90% of their populations are practicing Jewish religion. They have a viable middle class. They’re contented with what they have, living a normal, simple and comfortable lifestyle. They’re not too religious or forming “Holier than thou”. Dem no dey form, Dem dey real and accommodating. And dem too dey fine.
Sis said Ethiopians treat people with respect, and workers do their jobs without expecting any tip from customers. Almost all the shops she entered, the customer services were top notch.
Sis said their fabrics/clothes are expensive but of low quality. That means the prices of their clothes is not directly proportional to the quality.

My Sister’s Remark on South Africa

South Africa is beautiful but the people are quite relaxed compared to Nigerians. Maybe because our environmental condition here is too harsh.
Sis said, from what she saw and what locals are saying, she believes the crime rate in S.A is higher than that of Nigeria. Their pick pocket there is legendary and aggressive. The tour guild was always with them to direct the routes for smooth security protection.
Sis said she had a conversation with some locals (South Africans) about Nigerians living in S.A. They said Nigerians living in S.A are nice, aggressively hardworking and friendly people. They don’t have any problems with them. Most of the weird things we hear about Nigerians in S.A are mostly Zimbabweans and Malawians who commit those crimes but would instigate the name of Nigerians. Some of the locals said the Zimbabweans are really giving them problems. Sis was surprised because it was quite different from what we see and hear on the news.
Sis enquired about xenophobic attacks on Nigerians. Some of the locals said that it’s mostly lazy South Africans who engage in xenophobic act on other nationals. Because Nigerians are good entrepreneurs and business people, in trying to take over the successful shops and businesses of other African nationals, xenophobic attacks are instigated, thereby chasing those nationals away while they take over their businesses.
Sis said the S.A government is now encouraging entrepreneurship. The buying and selling community over there is viable. No wonder many Nigerian business people in S.A are often successful. According to sis, “If you open market for S.A, you go sell because everything dey sell.

<<<<The end>>>

Thank you for joining me. you can follow me on IG @ozorchristian for more stories
May I correct you on Ethiopia?

Our official language is only Amharic. English has never been official.

Not many follow Jewish, majority are Orthodox Tewahdo religion beleiver including me. I have never even met a Jew Ethiopian but I know they exist in Amhara region. Probably your sister thought that we are Jewish because the way we worship God is different. Ethiopians are very religious.

Two things Ethiopians take very serious
- Ethiopia and their religion

Other is correct. Good day.

ednited, I see you. What good tourist sites are there in Ethiopia?
I can't mention all beacuse it's too much

You can go to Northern Ethiopia and see the Axum stalaes made by ancient Ethiopians at the time of Axumite Kingdom. That is one of the biggest kingdom in Africa

You can go Lalibela and view an underground church curved out of a mountain in 14th century. The secrets of the church are still not reviled. The constructor says God ordered him to build it. Many documentaries has been made on that but still it is a miracle on how it was carved perfect.

You can go to Afar and see the dalol depression. One of the lowest places in the world located below sea level

You can go to Harar and see the Jagol Gimb. You can also see the people of harrar feed hyenas as pets

You can go to Arba Minch and visit the naturally beautiful things

From east, west, north and south. . . many things to enjoy

Ednited ,how is business prospects there? Is Ethiopia business friendly for foreigners who wish to set up one? Please throw more light on this area, cheers.
Although it depends on what type of business you want to be involved in, Ethiopia is just a country which has many thing untouched.

Call it in Agriculture and business, the country has huge potential. Making businesses in Ethiopia is very good for foreigners. Electricity is cheap and the country is rich in human labour. These two factors are what investors are mainly concerned in and it seems easy for them to have it here. Many foreign investors are now flowing here.

But there is one thing that makes it different in Ethiopia. At least 51% of your company is shared by an Ethiopian. Foreigners can't fully own a company in Ethiopia.

Interesting places

Red terror museum- one of the biggest tourist attraction which is constructed to remember those who died with the hands of the Dictator Mengistu Hailemariam. I have been there, it's a great place but little scary

Climb Entoto mountain- Addis Ababa was chosen as the capital by Emperor Menelik II because the city is at the center of Ethiopia and it's a mountain. Any enemy who want to conquer is easily seen. Entoto is the highest mountain in Addis Ababa. . . Climb it then you will view the whole city from top. It's amazing!! I have done that 4 times actually

Visit the Museum in Entoto- The museum in Entoto where the weapons used in the Battle of Adwa is displayed. The battle of Adwa is the Battle when Ethiopia defeated Italy not to get colonized. Also, the gold clothes and golden pillow of the Ethiopian defeating emperor is displayed

Addis Ababa university- Addis Ababa university is not only university but also a museum. Properties of Emperor Haile Selassie is displayed because the university was the palace of the emperor

Fun places

There is 7 dimensional movie you can enjoy in Edna mall but the 3 dimensional movie is seen high quality in century mall

Enter Gast entertainment for fun games. I will try to take pics next time I get there. Century mall and Edna mall are the best so far. But Fast is very unique with huge play station rooms and games that aren't usually played any where

etc. . . .

ET houses are not like this. This one is really different.

Yes. I believe we haven't worked enough on tourism sector. Ethiopians must be their country ambassador where ever they go. For example me and Hati13 are trying to help people come here.

I have many ideas but I don't know whom to tell. . .

What if the Ethiopian tourism company buys airtime in different countries at least 1 minute for a week and shows videos of different Ethiopian tourist destinations??

One of the reason why many people are attracted to U.S.A is because people have access to their movies. I believe that will change many thing

Few minutes later I got some photos and videos of sis inside a cab . "Where to?" I asked. She said she's headed to their local market for explore, sightseeing and some shopping.
.
Few minutes later sis dropped some videos and photos of her at a local shop. Sis said her cab driver passed by Addis Ababa university and American embassy on her way back from the local store. The driver asked her to stop recording when they got to the American embassy. As usual, no external cameras/recordings in most embassies and high commission. Ethiopian people are very friendly and reserved, unlike we Nigerians that are bit loud. .
.
Watch the video of her mini tour of Addis

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k30f3T2_Enk
I have been watching the video. . .

The statue at sidist kilo is call 'sematat hawelt'
which means 'Matrys statue'

That statue was made at the time of Empeor Haileselassie to remember those who died fighting the Italy fascist. At Ethiopian national patriots day, that place is going to be filled with ceremony. The statue is one of the figure which explains Addis Ababa.

And also there is Christmas in Ethiopia. We celebrate it on January 7, it isn't that we don't have a break for this holiday. The driver doesn't seem English speaker that is why. . . .

Tell that to your sis. But I bet she had more days in Addis, there are millions of things she haven't enjoyed here

I don't have figures but CBE is working very hard on that. CBE has been opening many branches in rural areas in Ethiopia. Not only that but also they have been teaching adults and students on how to save. I was really impressed how they were working. They have a tv channel to teach about saving too. Honestly, they are working hard

We can bring a bank from outside which is the best in the world but unless we lift a system that allow it to work. . .it's not going to function well.
