LordIsaac:Can you explain more on this? |
Nwoba Chika Nwoba I want to say this for the repeated time: if your hand is not strong, don't place them on the steering of the vehicle of marriage. Our fathers and forebears did it and the outcome is what so many are suffering from today. In the event that you should, please, don't give birth to many children. You mustn't award namesakes to everyone known to you. Many people consider this and go on to reproduce children like documents. Never you listen to people who say you don't marry with money. If you don't marry a woman with money, is it palm fronds that you'll use in paying her bride price, dowry, build house and feed the family? Or are you going to stay with her in the forest and feed her with Indian bamboo leaves? I don't know what a 25 year old boy who has nothing to his name is looking for in marriage.Something that comes with enormous challenges and responsibilities. The notion that one wants to grow together with his children has impoverished many perpetually. It's better to marry late and have a happy home than to marry early and have a home that'll produce abandoned children. Nobody is owing you a debt of assistance. You didn't start a business for that person, moreover if that person is not your father or mother. The only stingy person is the one you are expecting undue assistance from. I am moreover passing this message to the people of my own part of the world. Natural misdemeanor is different from the misfortune one attracts to self. It's not bad to have three children one will be able to cater for. Shocking is the reality that it's the acutely poor amongst us that find interest in marrying a bevy of women and giving birth to a deluge of children. Most rich men who have the resources to take care of a community of children instead give birth to three or five. In the event that a rich man marries many women and give birth to a colony of children, when he dies the family is thrown into a raging inferno of crisis. Only an infinitesimal number can have their families sustained after exit to the great beyond. Everyone should preach this message. We don't have government in Nigeria in case anyone will be thinking that government is there to look their direction. Gone, days training of women was a futile adventure. Give the best of trainings to your female children. It's painful to have one's sister or daughter still depending on her parents to feed while in her matrimonial home. A well-taken-care -of daughter will not be greeted by this kind of circumstance, unless there's an unforeseen disaster. It's not bad to marry at 35 as a man. It's not bad as well marrying at 25 if the grease with which to lubricate the union is there. It's not all about money anyway; the connubial maturity has to be there. It'll not be bad after taking care your few children you extend a hand of assistance to victims of disasters. But if you have a litany of children, before you'll be able to give them care, you have broken down. Many first sons in families cannot feed own families today because of the liability of large number of children their parents left behind. I don't know what a man who gives birth to 10 to 30 children or above is looking for in this world. What manner of farmer is he? Little time he's dead; the first child if only he has something doing faces the excruciating responsibility of raising the others. When the frustration is high, innocent uncles are alleged to have hands in the misfortune of the brothers' children brought into the world to suffer. No child deserves to suffer too much. Stop marrying and giving birth indiscriminately. You are not doing the children any good, neither are you helping the society. BluntCrazeMan:1. Some of these registered voters are not around to vote. 2. An average southern Nigerian especially the Igbos have this mentality that the election has been rigged. So why waste your time to vote in 'already decided election' when you can channel that energy to other positive things. 3. Fear of the unknown. Do you expect people to turn out when the political environment is heated up already. |
Three young were hacked to death in a cult-related fight during a birthday party at Odoba Otukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State. It was gathered that a quarrel broke out during the birthday party organized by one of the youths in Odoba community on Saturday night, March 27. According to an eyewitness, a young man from Obu Otukpa, a neighbouring community was hacked to death during the fight. The death of the young man was said to have caused a reprisal from the man’s community which led to the death of two others from Odoba. One of the Odoba youths killed was preparing to bury his father on Thursday this week. Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Ogbadibo local government, Prince Samuel Onu, said that it was a cult-related issue. "It has nothing to do with the communal crisis, it was a clash between rival groups. The incident happened at a party last night (Saturday night) and we have directed that the corpses be buried immediately." he said. Meanwhile, the Och'Otukpa, H.R.H Chief Sunday Ekele and the Anawogene of Ai-Oono H.R.H Chief Raphael Agada immediately visited Odoba community on Sunday morning, March 28, to access the situation. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2021/3/three-young-men-hacked-to-death-as-rival-cult-groups-clash-at-a-birthday-party-in-benue-community-2.html

The new Vice-Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, MOUAU, Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has pledged to ensure the fulfilment of all necessary conditions needed for the restoration of all de-registered programmes of the university. Professor Iwe who made the pledge during his familiarisation tour of Colleges in the institution vowed to spare no efforts in repositioning and taking the university to greater heights. A number of non-agriculture- related programmes hitherto run by the university were de-registered during the administration of the immediate-past Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Otunta, a development that led to a sharp drop in students’ population. His predecessor, Professor Hilary Edeoga, had in a bid to expand the university, introduced so many programmes to meet up with the increasing demands of admission seekers but the then Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe, directed that specialised universities restrict themselves to their core areas. Some lecturers and non-academic staff were laid off while some were redeployed to related Departments following the clamp down on the new programmes despite being accredited by the National University Commission, NUC, and the relevant professional bodies. But following requests by concerned staff including the Dean, College of Management Science, COLMAS, Professor Anthony Obayi, the VC promised to fast-track all the necessary conditions needed for the permanent restoration of the affected disciplines. Some of the courses delisted in COLMAS alone include Economics, Accountacy, Marketing, and Business Administration. The VC also promised to ensure the protection of rights and privileges of staff, and to provide the enabling facilities for efficient service delivery. He, however, cautioned the staff against extortion of students or indulgence in any form of duplicity, warning that his administration has zero tolerance for corruption. Professor Iwe who is also the National President of Scripture Union, SU, urged the staff of the university to eschew all forms of questionable attitude, while soliciting their maximum support and cooperation in his efforts to reposition the university. His words: “Lecturers should never compel students to give them money for anything. “I have never given money to any teacher of mine, from primary school to Ph.D level. “Any teacher who extorts money from students will remain poor. Such money is cursed.” The VC also said that “lecturers are not meant to compel students to steal or indulge in other vices to give them money”, adding that “for me, the hallmark of a teacher is contentment.” “I maintain that lecturers are not to receive money from students but should focus on doing the right things like building friendships for collaborative research.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/03/michael-okpara-varsity-new-vc-sets-to-restore-de-registered-programmes/

I need some help right now. After the validation stage, my wife was asked to upload necessary documents. Among these documents, there was no provision for local government identification letter. She went ahead to write the test which she scored 55%. Yesterday, she went back to the site with instruction for her to upload her local government identification letter. Now is the issue. The test button is still active. After uploading the document, will she go ahead to retake the test? |
