EducationRe: Education Minister Implies That Nigerian Graduates Are A Burden To The Society by eewule(m): 3:32pm On Aug 18, 2011
Even if the masses of jobless graduates had entrepreneurial skills, where do they get the investment / funds to push their business forward huh sad
GEJ need to start employing better / more caring peops as ministers. Obviously, this ladies kids are abroad or in private uni's else she has placed them in top gov. roles and then opens her mouth to reign insults on the not-so-lucky average nigerian graduates.

CareerRe: He Wants To Quit Because He Earns 'only' 160K by eewule(m): 3:39pm On Aug 16, 2011
He should be realistic. One can hurstle while doing his current job. Otherwise his wife can start a business or do the hurstling while he works as usual. He is being lazy and corrupted by his current oppurtunity/job, else he's being wrongly influenced by someone else who seems to be doing well hurstling.

Depends on the scenario:

"Its a bit scary walking theses streets alone, you dont mind to escort me ?"

or

"I can see you have trekked a long way here, you mind a lift on my back ?"

PoliticsRe: Rotimi Amaechi: Beyond The Hype by eewule(m): 12:20pm On Jul 28, 2011
On a different note, I have noticed some difference in the look of newly constructed roads in PH (last time i was there) and the look of roads in the uk. There are small bits of concrete that appear to be mixed with the black tar used for the road paving in the Uk, but in newly constructed PH / Naija roads, they simply appear black (tar only) the tiny concretes are missing.

This could be the secret to constructing more durable / lasting roads in Naija, as the roads here last for ages without any massive pot holes forming from little holes in the ground.

, just an idea for naija road contractors - further investigation is required
PoliticsRe: Rotimi Amaechi: Beyond The Hype by eewule(m): 12:20pm On Jul 28, 2011
I haven't been in my home city of PH for over a year, still what I can say to those criticising Ameachi is that they should 'be quiet and happy with the efforts he's making' because as we all know, he could be worse - like Odili and many other governors across the country. Nigerian leaders have no accountability - they can come, stay 8years and go away without implementing one positive change in their state, and still proudly boast of being a past leader in that state. No one will arrest or harass them for not performing (although somebody should).

The reason behind the hype with Ameachi (like Fashola) is that he is actually making serious effort to tackle the problems in the state. But this is Nigeria - there is never a shortage of problems - dilapidating infrastructure, poor road, and drainage issues left-right-and centre. So his effort will always look fible.

If Amaechi happens to decide to ignore all your complains over the next 4 years and do no other road work in the state, what will anybody do to him ? NOTHING,    as thats the Nigeria way.  He has chosen to act - so let us praise a working governor and encourage him, not complain.

THOSE OF YOU COMPLAINING NEED TO GO LIVE OVERSEA WHERE YOU CAN SUE A COUNCILLOR TO COURT FOR NOT PERFORMING DURING HIS TENURE IN OFFICE,   IN NIGERIA THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO THEM WHEN THEY DONT PERFORM, SO BE HAPPY WHEN THEY DO.
…And thats the damned truth !!
PoliticsRe: What The Government Should Do About The Nigerian Police Force (npf) by eewule(m): 12:56pm On Jul 26, 2011
The starting point will be:

- Provide better training for them

- Provide the required 'international standard' resource for crime fighting

- Increase there salaries
PoliticsRe: It's Official! Jonathan Admits He Has No Plans For Nigeria by eewule(m): 3:18pm On Jul 21, 2011
Why is it that people in power these days feel like they can say anything and getaway with it ?

Jonathan was the man who was carrying and expensive election campaign bearly 3/4months ago going from state to state
and promising everything he knew will please the people. BACK THEN WE DID NOT HEAR HIM DENOUNCE THE 11 POINT / AGENDA system.

But now the election is over and he has been voted in - he now claims good governance is all he owes the country - SO CONVENIENT FOR HIM.
He should be reminded that he remains the first south-southerner to rule the country and if he fails to fulfill, we may never see the throne again for the next 4/5 rig-able elections.
BusinessRe: Nigeria’ll Overtake US If It Has 24 Hours Electricity, Security by eewule(m): 3:03pm On Jul 21, 2011
In addition to constant electricity, we will also need about 10years to archieve such a dream.
There is a limit to how much developement Nigeria can accomplish (due to the mentality of our people -
ethnicity, favouritism, selfishness, etc.)

We dont really need to rule the world and become the most advanced nation (as with the US)
The good things with we nigerians is that :  If less than half the developments in the US could be archieved in Nigeria,
our people will live a far more happier and satisfied life than people do in the U.S today.  All we ask is for an
enabling environment, (the opportunity for us to take care of ourselves) - jobs - stable power supply - security of lives and property/ reasonable roads and transport system/
acceptable working educational system and facilities,

If we only can archive these, the sky will be the limit for evry man woman and child in Nigeria
FamilyRe: I Am Sad by eewule(m): 2:52pm On Jul 21, 2011
Seems like nothing to me, Many other women will ignore it and be happy for their kind and loving husband and a happy home.
You might be taking it a bit too sensitively. Their could be far more issues with your husband so 'Be happy' - not sad !!! undecided
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Militants Challenge Boko Haram ! For Real by eewule(m): 2:23pm On Jul 21, 2011
The militants are simply seeking attention and are likely to do nothing but talk.

It seems like terrorism is the way forward with Nigeria's youths as the government over the years
has refused to focus on improving the standard of living of the people. instead stealing selfishly for their own families and home communities.

Its unfortunate that these rabels dont focus there terror campaign on our rich politicians.
they are the only nigerians who's homes and properties deserve to be bombed daily until they start to change their ways.
PoliticsRe: What Will Benefit Nigerians Most? Pls Advice A Governor! by eewule(m): 2:10pm On Jul 21, 2011
POWER - It all begins with POWER.  Fixing Nigeria's power supply alone will also (partly) fix the employment problem and
joblessness of our youths, will support existing businesses and create an acceptable working environment for foreign investment. It will also affect the crime rate as with more jobs, there will be fewer jobless youths in the streets,

EVERY STATE GOVERNOR IN THE COUNTRY INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT AND ALL MINISTERS SHOULD STOP EVERYTHING ELSE AND FOCUS ONLY ON FIXING NIGERIA'S POWER SUPPLY.  Maybe such a combined effort will solve the problem, as they are not really solving any other problems anyway.
RomanceRe: A Little Word Of Advice For Searching Ladies by eewule(m): 2:28pm On Jul 20, 2011
kalokalo:
Its intriguing how sisters in their thirties go to pastors to pray for God to send them men to come marry them. undecided huh The average ready guy around that age won't go for women in that age range when he can pull girls years younger and still in their prime unless God does a miracle and changes his mating instincts dictated by nature in the first place.

Women start to complain of men shortage in their late twenties and early thirties. Ladies in their late teens to mid twenties don't have this problem. This is the prime years when a lot of men knock at a woman's door for romance and marriage.  But too many sisters pass them up holding out for their proverbial rich knight in golden armor

As men age, their options expand while that of women narrows. Its unfortunate but true. A lady who shoots down a guy who is 8/10 in her youth may find herself settling for a 4/10 guy in the future as she aged. That is if she finds any at all. Meanwhile she was holding out for a 10/10 guy in the first place.
Very true ,    I read on another similar thread on Nairaland, that the reason for this mentality with naija ladies is because they belive that their future husband will cheat on them (considering how so many young fine women are easily available to anyman with a little cash these days - and all their future husband has to do is pay) So they also try to enjoy themself as much as they can today before they get married, while passing-off potential husbands - but by the time they are ready no one wants them anymore.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram - Lawmaker Warns Against Military Action by eewule(m): 12:41pm On Jul 14, 2011
Military option is not applicable as YOU CANNOT FIGHT WHO YOU CANNOT SEE (THEY CURRENTLY HAVE NO IDENTITY)
A tactical approach of cutting-off their financial supply will instantly destroy the "Broke" haram group -who are obviously sourced by some (ex)politicians
TravelRe: Most Stressed Women In The World - Nigerian Women Are 9th by eewule(m): 12:35pm On Jul 14, 2011
They Lie.  HERES THE TRUTH:

Women in developing economies spend more of their additional cash on Sustainance: food, clothes, health and education for their children.
While women in the developed economies actually dedicate more of their cash to paying off debt, paying bills, and fashion: clothes and accessories.

I've lived in Naija and now in the Uk and this is what I think the truth is  /\

PoliticsRe: Fashola Vs Gej In Disaster Response by eewule(m): 12:14pm On Jul 14, 2011
I vote fashola, I think GEJ was a mistake - should not have won election, Nigeria needs a leader that can exert force and
has a tenacious personality. not one that needs 20 personal advicers etc, He needs to get serious, Nigeria needs him to ACT !?!!

SportsGarden City Games: Six Kung-fu Fighters Land In Hospital by eewule(op): 2:17pm On Jul 07, 2011
No fewer than six kungfu fighters participating in the ongoing Garden City Games 2011 in Port Harcourt , Rivers State , have been admitted for intensive treatment at the Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, BMH.

Vanguardsports gathered that 30 of the sportsmen have so far been referred to the BMH from the City Hall, Moscow Road, while it was learnt that the admitted kungfu men where stretched out of the arena after their bouts.

It was observed that the “Bruce Lee” men and women are usually given first aid by the medics at the venue immediately after the flying and kicking bouts before being referred to the specialist hospital.

More here > http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/07/garden-city-games-six-kung-fu-fighters-land-in-hospital/

grin grin If we must do it, why dont we do it safely - In foreign countries they will wear face mask and other protective gear for this kind of sports but e be like people go die first before our government go sabi say body no be firewood.

RomanceRe: Why Are Nigerian Women So Vulnerable X (No pun/disrespect intended) by eewule(m): 3:10pm On Jul 01, 2011
Goldieluks:
190 i TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE.
Nigerian women are the most conservative and sensible of all women,

lets start here,

talk about ,white British women, they tend to include their real names, phone numbers, addresses, pictures on their face book page,
they don't even care to make it private. You live in the UK right?how many Nigerian women have you seen on TV,that's been deceived, abused,
used,or even killed by maybe a paedophile or a despoiler? YOU TELL ME,can you compare it to the rate of white young girls or white old women?

OK lets talk about clubbing, one night stand, even on the train. How many black girls have YOU 190 ,been able to chat up
when you go on social gatherings, like parties and clubs, that would agree to give you their number straight away?

Don't come on here stating what you are not sure of,always state the fact.
Nigerian women are very smart, they can flirt with you, laugh, play, say all sort of flirty words with you,but my dear,it ends there.
But not with a white woman,if you doubt it,WATCH JEREMY KYLE. wink
I guess the issue exists everywhere but truly though - naija girls need to hold-back a bit with guys dem meet.
I'd say - with naija girls, it boils down to the economic factors, and need to survive.  While with the oyibo chicks dem, dey see it as having-a-nite-out and catching fun - but its all the same d*ck-hunger but with different approaches
PoliticsRe: I’ll Redeem My Pledge Of Car Gifts To Traditional Rulers – Governor Orji Of Abia by eewule(m): 12:07pm On Jul 01, 2011
It is said that "the decisions you make today, will determine how you live tomorrow."  I guess the eyes of abia people were not blind-folded when they were electing Orji. now see how he uses their funds.

Unlike the Rivers state or Lagos state govornors who are constantly bettering the life of their people, this guy has got a different agender.    The worst part is that (while others do this in silence) he has the confidence ( or is it foolishness) to come out and say it boldly that he will be spending funds (obviously not his own) on traditional rulers.  , So unfortunate.
PoliticsRe: Rich Kids Joy Riding In Abuja Killing/injuring Poor Bystanders. by eewule(m): 11:55am On Jul 01, 2011
This use to happen in my high scool days in PH - rich school kids steal their folks cars and start stunting outside school just when it closes and everyone is going home.   But to see this happening on the streets of Abuja (the capital) is a disgrace.
FamilyRe: Is Lack Of Money The Leading Cause Of Marital Unhappiness And Divorce? by eewule(m): 11:55am On Jun 29, 2011
I believe the reality of this matter is that: Only marriages that were inspired by money will break-up without money. Marriages that were inspired by love will NOT break apart later, because of absence of money.
