The guy messed up Abia state, what of Ifeanyi Ubah? |
What's wrong with some northerners?, must they drag power every single time?, what happens to Equity?, I once supported omo-agege, but not any longer, the seat should be zoned to SE period. |
marc55:Urhobo is not a borrowed language in Ofoni, so spare us that analogy of yours. right from day one, people have migrated from various places, so because an Urhobo princess married Takari that automatically makes Ofoni an ijaw group?, do you know how close the Urhobos and Itsekiri's were in the old?, they married each other, lived among themselves, yet they maintained a unique language up till date. What makes one a part of an ethnic group?, if not language and culture. keep denying your heritage, while reality keeps staring at you, and facts still remains you are an Urhobo man. Aside ofoni, we also have some isoko communities in Bayelsa, what will you then say about that?, tarakiri grand kids adopted someone else's language, lol joker. |
jared007:The Urhobos are very accommodating, and that's a major blow on us, check out our lands that was forcefully taken in Warri, the Ijaws are now trying to pull another stunt in Aladja. |
SoaringLife01:What an eye opener Oniovo, never knew sowore is from Apoi-ijaw, yet his name sounds yoruboid, but somehow somehow the Ijaws will still claim them to be one of their own, but are fighting tooth and nail to deny Ofoni their true identity. I will need to contact you when I'm ready for this research, our fathers failed in Uniting the Urhobo nation, we shouldn't fail our children. The Urhobo is what we truly have, it's our identity. Urhobo, Ovuo'vo. |
jared007:How can you teach your kids language you don't understand?, Ofoni is an Urhobo community, just so sad we are doing nothing to unite our brothers from the other side, we also have some Isoko communities in Bayelsa. |
SoaringLife01:Don't worry, we will do everything within our power to protect one of our own, these people can be funny, a man from Ondo that speaks izon is called an Ijaw man, but a man from Bayelsa that speaks an Urhobo Language isn't Urhobo, not because of anything, but because his land was carved into another state, such hypocrisy. I will travel down to Ofoni and make a video interview with some of the locals, I'm also trying to create some awareness. |
JasonScoolari:Lol, a troll u guess, didn't notice it on time. But many single ladies are in similar situations, them mumu die, but no lele, men must shop, na the matter. ![]() |
James289:You are a pretty lady, and a smart one at that, why struggling with someone else's property? are there no single guys in your office or neighborhood?, why this man? You aren't getting any younger, once he is done with you, he'd move on with another young lady, forget the flashy things you do get from him, he is just trying to trap you down. Get a man, settle down and build your own family. |
JasonScoolari:Lol, this one na made is kotonou. Very shameful, pant is just 300-500 naira only, maybe this is the latest fashion in town. Oshare na to they tear our pants get am now o.. lol.. or dude probably into some diabolic stuffs. |
marc55:Sorry about the pictures, it was actually a mix-up, but couldn't modify it anymore because it was has been locked. Ofoni people are Urhobo, no doubt they are related to their Ijaw neighbors, but the fact still remains they speak the Urhobo language and migrated from Ughelli, married some locals. if you say Ofoni's aren't Urhobo, then the Ijaws in Ondo aren't Ijaws. |
JasonScoolari:Ogboru has a great chance of winning this year, it's still 50/50 sha, we can see that from the last presidential elections and how he delivered thousands of votes to Buhari, a man that is not even loved around. Our major concern is the level of rigging going on in Delta south, how can riverine communities have more population than cities? how manager was able to pull 200k votes is still a miracle to me. If ogboru should win, then they should dismantle the level of rigging in Delta South, mostly the once going on in the creek. Good morning and happy new month bro. |
modath:Thanks sister. |
drawingbook:I don't think we have any indigenous Urhobo people in Ondo and Lagos, but we do for sure have some Indigenous Urhobos in Edo state, but they are very small, less than 10,000 |
asuustrike1:I just added some pics to the OP, cc: lalasticlala |
April4th:The ijaws won't produce any governor in Delta state in the nearest future, after the Urhobos, the next tribe to produce the next governor will be the isokos. Manager is irrelevant, he only won Uduaghan because of massive rigging in the riverine communities, plus Uduaghan and the itsekiris weren't that smart this time around. |
JasonScoolari:Ofoni people are from Ughelli, so you are not far from the truth. This dude might become a governor In the nearest future. Omo-agege is a typical Nigerian politician, a smart one at that, I don't think he can be used by any Party, even his present romance with Ogboru is because of his ambition, he once worked against ogboru In 2011. |
Contrary to what people think that the Urhobos have only one senator in the next senate assembly, I'm pleased to inform you that the senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial district is an Urhobo man from Ofoni, Bayelsa State. Below are the two Urhobo Senators in the next Senate Assembly. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor: Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor was a former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in Bayelsa State, he hails from Ofoni (Ughelli-Urhie), Baylesa state. I once wrote an Article about the Urhobos in Bayelsa, (https://www.nairaland.com/2289624/meet-ofoni-people-bayelsa-only) In 2018 he scores 247 votes against Senator Foster Ogola’s 2 votes to be the PDP candidate for Bayelsa West Senatorial District and on February 25 2019, he was declared winner by Inec defeating Mathew Karimo of APC. Ovie Omo-agege: Ovie Omo agege needs no further introduction, he is the APC candidate representing Delta Central senatorial seat, He defeated the PDP's candidate Mrs Evelyn Oboro in the just concluded 2019 general elections.
|
Funny enough, I told some NL members here that Ughelli is APC's stronghold, but they were busy arguing with me, worst is, some haven't even visited the state before in their whole life. Not only did Omo-agege win, all APC aspirant in the city won. Rev Waive also won. nameo how far ![]() |
Corrinthians:While Omo-agege is a good fighter, I think the main character who gave APC votes in Delta state is Ogboru. he is the real MVP. He should even move to national politics and leave Delta state, we are fully behind him. The people's general. |
PaChukwudi44:But you want A thief to be your president? Lol.. relax dude.. we are producing the next Senate president. Omo-agege will be your next Senate president, the highest you can do is to wail. |

nameo:Sanchez01 you better not argue with this boss, the other day he was telling me what's going on in Delta state, a state he hasn't been to before in his life, a state he knows little or nothing about, it's quite hilarious how some of you just sit in your house and talk about what's going on in other regions. Atiku is winning SS no doubt, but with little margins. nameo:That was was your quote the other day. Apc is smashing Ethiope East and Ughelli as we speak. I think you should talk about states and region you currently live in. |
drtwist:Yes, we are humans and we are sentimental. People don't know how the masses love the man Ogboru. Atiku will still win Delta state though, all na initial gra gra. |
Edodefender:While I can't denial the fact that I have a soft spot for Ogboru, I must correct the notion that I'm an APC supporter, I'm not sir! and I can never be. Ogboru is also an Anioma son, his major stronghold in Delta state is Ethiope East, Ndokwa and Ukwani, his mom is from Ndokwa. it isn't a matter of tribe sir, you are not being fair here, when Ibori (An Urhobo son) was the governor, didn't Deltans vote massively for Ogboru?, it's a matter of someone being denied his mandate for too long. Atiku is sure winning Delta state anyway. |
As predicted earlier, APC will perform better in Ughelli, Ethiope East, Udu and some local governments in Warri. Votes will be divided in Uvwie and Sapele. Atiku will still Win Delta state, but with a very small margin. Emerhor should be compensated, he has really tried for APC, he was the first to bring APC to SS, so unfortunate Ogboru took power from him, but I guess they will sort their issues after the elections. So far so good, elections was peaceful in Warri, In Ethiope east, everywhere was calm. PDP is likely to clear most LGAs in Delta north. Stay tune. cc: mynd44, Laslaticlala, OAM4J |
EVWRENI- LEADER of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor and the Executive Director Project, EDP on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Engr Sam Adjogbe, have won their polling units in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local government area, Delta State for President Mohammadu Buhari. The election, which was peaceful in the area, witnessed large turnout of voters who conducted themselves in an orderly manner. While Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor voted at past 10am in his polling unit, Engr Sam Adjogbe cast his votes at about 10:45am. Emerhor delivered 276 votes to President Mohammadu Buhari in his Evwreni ward 8 unit 5 to defeat the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who polled 13 votes. Adjogbe in his Evwreni ward 8 unit 1, delivered 214 votes for President Mohammadu Buhari to defeat his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who scored five votes. Emerhor who spoke to newsmen earlier after casting his votes, said “Everybody is excited because we have the opportunity now, to elect the President and National Assembly members of our choice “Based on some logistics relating to transportation, they started late, but I think they will extend the time, so that everybody can vote, am also a bit concerned about the time allocated to each person to vote, I hope the machine will pick up so it would be faster.” The EDP, NDDC, Engr. Samuel Adjogbe who also spoke to journalists earlier shortly, described the exercise peaceful and orderly, saying “everybody is calm and voting according to the requirements of INEC. “I expect Mr. President to win, this is just a re-confirmation we should do, so he should go back for another four years.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/02/polls-emerhor-adjogbe-win-polling-units-for-buhari/ |
