Business / Efcc To Probe Bank Executives by effects8000(m): 9:13pm On Dec 18, 2007
The federal Government, this morning, instructed the EFCC to investigate all executives of Nigerian Banks because of the constant petitions to the Federal government by the Banks share holders.
It was learnt that bank executives have been buying up all the best houses in Ghana and also some even have private planes! According to reports, prominent bank exec's like Jim ovia of Zenith banks and Tony elumelu of UBA have been helping governors launder stolen moneys in the country.
Nigerians this is why we should stop buying those bank shares. and this is also why we can get access to credit. VERY SAD!!!!!

Bankers my foot!! !!!I do think that Nigerian bankers are the most irresponsible people to ever work on the face of the earth. They you guys are so rude and you don't know a thing about customer service! OH yeah for those of you who actually studied a science course in uni eg applied chemistry or physics and you then pass abank exam and get a job in the bank, PLS YOU ARE ONLY KILLING THE INDUSTRY!!!!!!!!!
And the new generation of bankers are NOT bankers but science trained bankers that don't know a thing about credit or transactions!!!!

I'm in the telecoms services industry and we provide backup for telecoms service providers. I would also like to say that the major problem facing us is FUNDING. In the country, their is zero funding for start up firms that makes it extra difficult for businesses survive.
Business / Banking In Nigeria by effects8000(m): 9:42pm On Nov 10, 2007
Asking banks for credit in Nigeria can be both stressful and frustrating. The banking sector has been reduced to a person relationalship ie if you don't know the boss or the Executive director or even the risk manager you don't get anything .After the banking consolidation the banks in Nigeria are only focused on getting you money and going to the market and robbing the people with their fake share offers. I would list down my experiences with the so called big Banks in Nigeria. This are the worst three.
ECOBANK: i opened an account with the bank in hope of doing some good business with them. Opening an account was easy then when i wanted a credit line to fund my business the problem started. It was as if i was trying to rob them of all the money they have ever made. My account manager then advised that even if i see the executive director, he has no power in the bank and that the real owner of the bank was actually a guy called in the risk department (IG) that short for Ignatius. I also learned that he has so much power that he can make or break a business transaction. This guys was so rude that he ignored a scheduled meeting i was to have with him and the executive director all because his colleague was not promoted. I later learned that if you are not in the government or a politician do not mention the word credit!!!In that can ECOBANK is not for the private sector.

GTB: Mike Adenuga's baby: I approcahed this bank to get what we in business call an APG (Advance payment Guarantee) in lay mans terms it is a bank guarantee to your client that you will not you are a secured client to deal with and that you will not run away with their money. Anyways, i got the contract and they accepted to give me the APG on one condition that when my 25% of the contract comes in they will no give me access to the money until the contract was done. That means even if i got the money the bank would benefit before me! That was a BIG NO GO AREA. Asking for credit is like walking in a mine field cus the system was designed for you to fail.

ZENITH BANK:JIM Ovia's Empire: This bank is so irrelevant to the common business man that for every 500,000 you pay in the bank takes 16,000. They make money from that and also make money from politicians who loot and deposit the money in the bank. With the amount of looting going on in the government the bank does not need the private sector.
Asking for credit in thia bank is like walking in a lions den. This bank robs Nigeria's in broad day light and being a one man bank the money is used by Jim to expand his real estate empire in Nigeria and abroad.
So my fellow Nigerians i would like to know your own experiences in this banks. All opinions are welcome.
Business / Re: Be Careful About Buying These Banks Stocks! by effects8000(m): 8:52pm On Nov 10, 2007
I do think that the bank ipo's are flawed and shame on the CBN and the regulatory body SEC{securities and exchange commission} The figures are also flawed.Take Access bank for example there firgures are so flawed that there is a questionable 1000% increase in its gross earnings. Zenith bank AkA JIM OVIA's private empire where share prices are over estimated and annual reports flawed in other to go to the market and hope that the shares are over subscribed so that they can make quick money.Jim ovia keeps developing properties in Lagos and abuja and expanding his private empire with our money.
I recently discoursed this issue with an executive director of a bank (name and bank withheld) and he comferemed to me that the figured are wrong and its a matter of time before heads would start to roll.He also found it difficult to understand why the CBN would let that happen. With the CBN governor treating to jail local jurnalist if they report on any issue they are not sopposed to your guess is as good as mine. Nigerians please be WATCH OUT!!!

Politics / Sharia Law And The Nigerian Constitution by effects8000(m): 12:20pm On Mar 07, 2006
Is The Nigerian Sharia Law Above The Nigerian Constitution?

My fellow country men we how all see and heard of the rise of th imam politicians or the political mullah's in Nigeria.
And we all know that their sole aim is to destroy the country. It all started in 1999 when the imam politicans
decided to include the intoducation of the sharia penal code in place of the Nigerian constitution.

We Christians cared less and then the sharia touting thugs in the North of the country decided to not only attack but to kill non Moslem's in the North of the country."this was the beginning of sectarian violence in the country" Now the same thugs just made Nigeria the laughing stock of the international community when the decided to again kill non Moslem's and burn down churches and business owned by no Moslem's in the north of the country because of the cartoon saga in Danmark.

Now tell me, did the Christan's in the north of Nigeria draw the cartoons? We Nigerians abroad the followed the story closely would know that the Christan Organization of Nigeria was the first organization in the world to condemn the cartoons. Now why did they kill Christan's in the north of the country for what happen in Europe? Did they beat up any Danie's at least? A hungry region like the North of the country were poverty and illiteracy is common will kill their fellow country men for what happen in a developed country like Denmark.

Is the united Arab emirates not an Arab Islamic country? How any of you been to Dubai? Down there they practice the Modern version of the sharia law were by Christan's and Muslims are encrouged to leave side by side.

So now Nigerians do you think that the sharia law that is being imposed by the mullahs in the north of the country is above the Nigerian Constitution which is meant to be the supreme law of the land. OK your comments should be very objective and i really want to read commens form Nigerian Moslems. Cheers.
Religion / Re: Nigerian Churches Today Are Business Centers! by effects8000(m): 1:01pm On Feb 28, 2006
I actually posted a topic about this issue last year and the old members of narialand
would remember the famous augment i had with layi about Nigerian churches this day.
The totally lambasted me when i suggested the EFFC should investigate this churched because they are
really ripping desperate Nigerians off all in the name of miracles.
If i am appointed as the anti corruption chief today i would go for the first!
When i was growing up i never had of a Pentecostal church but now they are every where compeating
for air time on our TV channels.
Something needs to be done for Nigeria to be totally corruption free and we Nigerian should WAKE UP!
Heaven helps those who help themselves you don't expect to stay home all day and not work and tommorrow
you would get a miracle that would transform your life. Its just pitiful I would like replies please
Education / College Drop-Out In Nigeria by effects8000(m): 12:49pm On Feb 28, 2006
We all know of the high school drop out but what future does a college drop out really have?

I all hear stories of Bill Gates which is by far the most famous college drop out in the world as well as the riches man on Earth. The list goes on and on from Famous rapper Kanye west to the Google boys, to the napster dude. They all have one this in common in that the went on to change the world with their ideas and later became very successful people in life.

Now my question is what does the future hold for a Nigerian college drop out? Would he become an area boy or a danfo driver? What does he have to do succeed?
Politics / Re: Should Nigeria Aspire For Nuclear Energy Or Weapons (Or Both)? by effects8000(m): 12:43pm On Feb 13, 2006
Nuclear energy yes but nuclear weapons no.
I really do think that nuclear energy is the only way that nigeria can
solve its power generation problems.
The reason is because a uranium or plutonium base nuclear fusion
can generate enough energy to power most of our homes and industries
which would lead to a significant growth in the economy.
Nuclear energy is a good and clean source of energy that doesnt damage the environment.
So i will vote for nuclear energy on this one.

As the saying goes "once you pop you never stop" so its really not good
to marry virgin.
If you have ever had a sexual relationship and you would be selfish enough to go and marry a
virgin that makes you a looser. And for virgins girls marriage means alot more than just
commitment if my wife has no experience in bed it would diffenetly push me out to go else were
to seek satisfaction cool shurde huh?
