Happy 4th of July to everyone out there who remembers the significance of USA's true independence from "Great" Britain. Even though the American atmosphere is not as joyous and celebratory as the previous years, we still must celebrate. Anybody want to invite me to a free 4th of July picnic? Just came from one, but I'm still hungry o. Beync: Please be honest with your answers,Socio-cultural differences do matter. However, the way both parties address these differences is what determines the outcome of the relationship. I dont see a big deal in inter-cultural/racial etc marriages/relationships. We live in a global village and it definitely calls for tolerance, acceptance and understanding of other cultures or social groups of people. You just need to know how to make the differences work in your favor. Besides, I think it's more fun to be with someone from a different socio-cultural background. It spices up the relationship especially if both parties are open-minded and adventurous. (I'm not married so y'al excuse me if I speak from a theoretical point of view but Ive been in relationships with non-nigerians before.) Btw, don't base the success of your relationship on the history of XYZ. You and Mr D are not XYZ. Be open-minded and choose to see the person as an individual rather than group him in a category. |
femzy: With the no of gals that are playing fine on the circuit; i doubt she has any chance to clinch a title.True. It's gonna be really hard. I think goal right now is to win at the olympics. Not sure if she's after any major title anymore after that. I wish she finishes strong though. |
femzy: Quite sad she crashes out.... A lot of Psychological issues i reckon and @ 32 what do you expect Heard and read she has some kind of illness (autoimmune disease) and that's prolly what's taking a toll on her. Here's a link to an article: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/29/sports/tennis/venus-williams-battling-disease-back-at-french-open.html |
