murtalaa: who are these moderators for god's sake? other more important topics are begging to be on the frontpage, please. There is a thread for NNPC/DPR job seekers whose recruitment hangs on the balance despite being kept on edge for two years. Such are the kind of topics you expect to see on the frontpage not this kind of trash posted by whiteman wannabes. Who gives a shiit about french open this side of the globe.
Everyone needs a lil bit of entertainment once in a while. Sir, I advise that you relax and find some form of distraction to relieve you of your stress. Lol. Besides, the frontpage can't be filled with only job threads can it? That'd be boring.
That I love tennis doesn't make me a whiteman wannabe. Its a sport that I enjoy and it so happens that it was created by the white man. Anyway, the koko of the oro is that you need to chilll....

FamilyRe: Married But Fond Of Another Man by Egbagirl(f): 3:37pm On Jan 18, 2012
Lady W, the truth is bitter and its hard to swallow. Except for one or two comments, pretty much everything here has been said and said well. This is marriage and not just dating or courting. Its a diff ball game entirely. Thi is a life long committment and many married couples who have had this experience have offered advice. I think its 'cause they are concerned that they have said all that they did. No one is calling you a slut (excuse the silly one/two that did. Ill-mannered people) but yo, swallow this bitter pill and face reality. You are in yyour twenties and if you want to still have a healthy marriage when you are much older, then you need to build the foundation right.

I'm not married yet but I know that even keeping close guy friends is not advisable. The closer you are, the fonder of each other you become, the LESS time you give to your man and relationship and then the wahala starts. Don't start what you can't finish. For to stay up all night thinking about this means that there is already something brewing. Keep your relationship w this guy to a strictly professional one. Its better to do this than to regret years from now. Work on your marriage and forget about this guy and how good you feel when you are with him. Talk with older people who have strong marriages and learn from them. Aboro ni a n so fun omoluabi.

Music/RadioRe: Why Do You Buy Pirated Cd's? Share Your Reason by Egbagirl(f): 12:06pm On Dec 19, 2011
@ Poster, by CDs do you also mean DVDs (local and foreign?). if you are referring to only Nigerian music CDs/DVDs then I think Mubela answered your question.

You might wanna be more specific especially if this is a research.

TV/MoviesRe: Bino And Fino: The New Nigerian Cartoon Series by Egbagirl(f): 12:02pm On Dec 14, 2011
I think it's a good idea to promote our own cartoons as long as the content is good. I think this is a good initiative and obviously more needs to be done but I think with time, they will get there.

As per the voices, the only thing that I did not particularly like was the fact that she kept repeating "says/said Fino/Bino etc" it was quite distracting. the voices for the mom, fino, and bino were aight. but Papa's voice wasnt sounding nice in my ear's at all. but overall, great job to those behind this. I'd rather have my kids watch this than watch the nonsense cartoons that are showing on tv today. we need more educational stuff.

nawfia:
Hi all,

I was here some months back seeking help on the best way to propose to my girlfriend of 4years, we have fixed our introduction and traditional marriage for 3rd january 2012, but am having double mind,

Am thinking of calling off the wedding, there is this particular girl that works in an audit firm opposite my office, met her a few weeks ago, gosh, where do i start, she is the most intelligent girl i have ever seen, i cherish her company so much, everything about her is so perfect, i droll and think of her all the time, have asked her out and even though she has not yet given me a direct answer, i know she will succumb someday, spending the night/weekend with her is so blissful, she even knows how to play my favourite PS winning eleven, am so thrilled, a great cook and keeps my house sparkling clean each tym she comes for a visit,

I have prayed for this feeling to go away all to no avail, i dont want to disappoint my fiance, she has been so nice and  helpful to me, her people have been so nice to me all thruout our dating years and am like a son to her mum, the woman believes so much in me, i can handle my mum and sisters questions but how do i explain to her family??

please i will appreciate if anybody can advice me on the best way or method i can use to forget about this new girl and focus on my impending marriage, am seriously losing it,
So, in short, you dont want to call off the wedding because:

you dont want to disappoint your fiancée
you dont want to let the family down because they believe in you
you dont know how to explain to the family that you will not be able to marry their daughter
they have been really nice to you and you are like a son to them.

Im really sorry for your wife if you do end up marrying her. Frankly, I dont think you are ready for marriage. It also seems like you do not know what you want in a wife.
PhonesRe: What Do You Do With Ur Bb? by Egbagirl(f): 3:58pm On Dec 02, 2011

make calls
send text messages
read and send emails
facebook and nairaland (hardly cause i have a comp)
BBM (mostly when im in naija on vacation otherwise, i dont really have time)

so at then end of the day, i think its the BBM that makes the BB attractive otherwise no biggie.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Egbagirl(f): 11:20am On Nov 16, 2011
what i meant was a pay pal for those in the US/UK and when the donations are done, the money gets transferred to the NG acc. But this issue is already being discussed on the other thread. (hope i aint creating any sort of confusion)
