Well, it's nice to have story building but the cost is the problem... the added cost of decking and labor increases in upper flats..
It seems that your parents are over-rating your financial capabilities just because you are overseas.. go with what your fund can complete.
It's not easy leaving building constructed halfway and never have fund in future to complete it.. that is our problem in Nigeria.

Thank you very much my OGA and general in the time you always create to educate us in your advice cos on this I really stand to your advice and urge. My oga to follow his mind cos placing what you don't have in mind could make you experience abadoning this project if you choose to go fpor what's in your mind and budget cos I can really say that your deciding in building what you ve in mid is as result of your financial status,pls and I repeat pls that which you when you start you will finish pls go for it and you will be satisfied and sleep well as you go about what you have in mind.

I got the quotation below and i am not confortable with the labour charge and a few more, kindly advice

OUTSIDE PLASTERING
1. Mandiesel of plaster sand 40,000
2. 12 bags of cement @ 1700 20,400
3. 1 tank of water 4,000
4. Labour 120,000

TOTAL 184,400

INSIDE PLASTERING
1. Double tipper of plaster sand 40,000
2. 21 bags of cement @ 1700 35,700
3. 2 tank of water 8,000
4. Labour 240,000

TOTAL 323,700

SUMMARY
Inside plastering 184,400
Outside plastering 323,700

Total 508,100

I am a builder and if I must say the water can be 2tanks every other materials are ok but for the labour I can take the labour for 280 in and outside

I just got this Architectural plan and dimensions from an Architect today. This is for 4 flats of 2bedroom apartments (ensuite) plus 2 bedrooms flat as pent house. Am calling on all the builders in the house with good credibility and long years of experience to please check the plan out, and pls help with the cost breakdown from start to finish.
I will also like you to advise me on how best to manage this project so as to save cost.
Location: Ogombo, Ajah.
Land condition: Dry plot (never water logged)

Thank you very much sir for the observation but it just so unfortunate that I don't have the pix here to show you due to the fact that when the transfering of the material took place I was not too fine and generator was the source of light there and it was only at night they on the gen,the sand,granite,cement,rod 16and 12 were al transferred to site by hand head and wheelbarrow

Not really my oga spyder the fact is when the material came there was so many challenges with rain and bad road so instead of using from the plank which I knw I can't get all back I had to go for the decking so that as soon as that is done I can then board the lintel

Its better I give the breakdown cos I went through a lot transferring the materials to site as shown in the above pix due to bad road

Cement 204bags according to my ratio 1bag,1wheelbarrow of granite and 1and half. Wheelbarrow of sand

The planks I used was bought from benin cos the planks there aren't too good for me to use even the little I later bought really gave the doubt

I bought 180lenghts of 1by12by18 and later added 751by12by12
12mmrod and 6016mm for beam abnd reinforcement
702by3 to support the decking
120lenghts of bamboo
45tons of granite though its normally 7and half ton truck is the truck common in the state at 45,000 per truck
I bought 5of the same truck for sand at 24,000 per truck cos the site is a bit of distance

Carpenter 120,000
Ironbender 70,000
Casting 91,000
