There was traffic under those trees by the sports ground at gbagada, when coming from the express.

Next thing I heard was the breaking of the back glass and somebody shouting give me your phone and bag. My rider threw her bag to the front and they collected her phone.

Another guy came to the front, broke the front window and asked me for my own phone, there's one bad phone I keep in the car which I gave them before they left
nice maneuver.lesson learnt.always keep a decoy phone handy..you never know when you'll need one

I think it makes more business sense ..for me personally civics are cheaper for me to get. Also uber/bolt are ever changing.. So am just adapting to the changes.. Instead of me following the crowd up and down buying corolla .. I decided to think outside the box .... With my low landing cost of civics compare to those buying corolla, I should be able to make my money back and also have a fleet of about 14 cars in less than a year.. Hopefully.

A big fat lie. My friend uses a Tecno phone for both uber and taxify, he makes good money enough for him and to meet his weekly target. Stop saying what you don't know. How can one be banned from uber because he used a certain type of phone? find another thing talk joor.
adeniyiHansome:
Some gets banned because the GSP/distance covered does not reflect actual when viewed from backend...and to them it is either sakamanje or incompatible devices.

Note some of the devices banned by Uber are still on their platform but you will not say, i dont know if issues generated by the device makes them block/ban u.

i heard of someone that was blocked and was requested to change his device to a compatible one.
deedee44:
I used infinix hot 4 pro for over a year, I was blocked when my phone gps started dancing, you will know that your phone is dancing when normal trip of 1000 starts becoming 1800 or 2500 or thereabout. I went to their office and they told me to get another phone with emphasis on avoiding a double sim phone. I was unblocked immediately but advised not to go online without getting another phone cuz next blocking will be permanent
I have been vindicated. who's the big fat liar now? amateur cool

Crime › Of Nigeria's SARS And Kenyans Flying Squad.a Case Study For Remedial Overhaul by eherbal(op):
Exposed! How the Flying Squad has been renting out guns to criminals

The similarities in the operations and abuse of fundamental human rights by the Nigerian SARS is in no way different from that of the Kenyan Flying Squad. This article has affirmed my suspicions that SARS operatives are the highway robbers and kidnappers tagged 'Fulani herdsmen'. The assumption seems to be a perfect diversion from their nefarious activities.i personally recommend the disbandment of the SARS, and their recall to the force headquarters, which I predict will check mate the killings and kidnappings presently experienced by innocent travelers and law abiding citizens.pls patiently read through.thanks8)

Ever since he walked into the Kiambu Road headquarters of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations on January 8, 2018 to become the country’s top detective, Mr Kinoti’s no-nonsense approach to his duties has been epic. He has a history of taking winding and dangerous trails across the country, and has been shot for that; not once, but twice.

A cyst at the back of his head is one of the reminders of the day he once met his would-be-assassins, who cracked part of his skull with a bullet, leaving him for dead in Homa Bay.

“I thought I would die,” he says.

George Kinoti
The second attempt on his life was when he was investigating the brutal attack on novelist Ngugi wa Thiong’o and his wife Njeeri shortly after the US-based writer arrived in the country in August 2004 after 22 years in self-exile.

He was deep in the Prof Thiong’o investigations when he was sprayed with bullets by a murderous gang that left him in a coma. Those who saw him at the Armed Forces Memorial Hospital in Nairobi thought he wouldn’t survive. But he did, albeit with plates on his legs.

“I had been threatened because of that case and I raised the matter during the trial. But, somehow, even the media ignored the issue,” he said.

But it was the Flying Squad that shocked him. For years, the quick response unit had styled itself as the panacea for all crime and was believed to be the answer to organised crime. It wasn’t, and Mr Kinoti didn’t waste time dealing with the unit.

“I realised that the Flying Squad was the source of the problem and I had to dismantle it,” he says. He not only recalled and disarmed the 500 or so officers in the field, but also ordered all of them back to the headquarters.

“They were extortionists and some were collaborating with criminals,” he explains, but the rot within the police, under which the DCI operates, was far much deeper and dangerous than the criminal Flying Squad officers in the field.

In Kiambu, for instance, Mr Kinoti found that a police armoury was being used to rent firearms to criminals. He arrested a senior sergeant who was behind the scandal and recovered all the guns rented out to criminals.

But some Flying Squad members tried to rescue one of the officers he had arrested in connection with the gun renting scandal by corrupting his charge sheet.

“They charged him with a flimsy matter in order to secure his freedom. I had to arrest and charge him personally,” says Mr Kinoti.

When he dismantled the Flying Squad, everyone thought that the level of crime in the country would surge. But, to everyone’s surprise, the highway robberies from Mombasa to Busia stopped overnight.

The emergence of smaller independent units all over the country sent the squad down the road to disaster as the dreaded officers went rogue and starting extorting bribes from civilians and crime suspects.

They were also blamed by human rights groups for increased extrajudicial killings of suspects.

high performance vehicles has its downsides in this business.they're not specifically built for short stops.then there's the electrical head ache to think of.

my verdict, get cars with smaller engine capacities.the ones that can withstand the treacherous Lagos roads. the corollas and Honda civic bullet proof engines are highly recommended

I just want to comment on the bolded from my own opinion..... Please, it's my opinion, so don't crucify me grin

The question I ask myself is "what exactly is the driver bringing to the table for him to be called a partner in this business?"

If I set up a food canteen: Furnish it with tables, chairs, curtains, tiles, TV, and I employ two ladies to cook and sell, and I tell them that for every plate they sell, I give them #150, will I really call this a partnership? When it is glaring that if anything happens to the shop, they(the two ladies) have nothing to lose?

Look at it from another angle.....

To be truthful to myself, I don't see it as a partner relationship. It's actually an employer-employee relationship

I see uber guys get serious accidents, and I ask myself...."What's the fate of the car owner? " Will the driver fix the car?

Bros, that's how I see this work oh... Na who provide and maintain motor be the oga grin
very surgical analysis.simply put.nice one bro. BTW,where you at the Afrikaans Shrine yesterday afternoon?

StupidVoters:
If Nigeria survive her unity under Buhari, I bet we are the most stupid, senseless, helpless, foolish, docile citizens in the world. No government, I repeat, no future government can be worst in all ramitifications more than this. My dad voted for Buhari in 2015, he tried to convinced me then to vote for him, I told him I will rather not vote than to vote bubu, I had no idea his government will be worst, I just don't like him because of the numerous errors he was showcasing during the campaigns. Dad's business crumbled due to his dear president policies, I, been an independent guy right from secondary school days survived one way or the other. Fast forward to 2019, Dad was trying to convince me to vote for bubu again because his second coming will be of great benefits to all and sundry as every thing will be going on smoothly. I looked at my dad and I kept mute, he asked what was wrong , deep inside me, I was thinking how could a man that gave birth to me be so foolish like this? I couldn't utter what was on my mind out, I left his place to mine that night thinking how others mom and dad has been making mistake for their children thinking it was the best decision for them. He's not an APC member at all, educated,he's or was a successful businessman pre-Buhari.
Few days ago, he called me and ask for some sum, I told him I will, if a contract I'm aiming at in Aso Rock come to fruition. Of course, I lied. Who sabi me for Aso Villa grin.
That scenario compelled me to create my handle to "StupidVoters" because I believe we have blindless followers of Buhari even without a morsel of eba to eat.

My take.

As an ordinary Nigerian without any affiliation to APC or people at "up" and you voted Buhari again..whatever we are facing, you will face and experience it 10times as Law of karma isn't served but earned.
of all the things written by you,the one that really caught my attention is you calling your dad foolish. since you're an advocate for karma, get ready for your ward when they return the compliment.
