1) I think discarding 'NIGERIA' in d association's name is somtng 2 b re-considerd. Let 'NIGERIA' b boldly included in dat name such dat once anybdy sees/hears it,he/she wld b able 2 know wher it's frm directly. For e.g: ASSOCIATION OF UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES OF NIGERIA (AUGN).

2) This assoc. shd be fully regstd.,publicised & has state branches nationwide with excos & members.

3) The management of Nairaland shld pls contribute thier own quota more by running d thread on front page 4 @least a week.

4) One strong thought evry member of d assoc. shld have is that, a lot can be achieved thru this medium if it goes beyond internet and into d street, but NOTHING, and i repeat, NOTHING 'll be achieved if all grievances are displayed here and left @ d end of d day.

It's a long over due move dat shld've taken place long b4 now. Let this start so 2 put correction in our system if not, our younger ones & children shall also b victims of this same circumstances. God forbid! BENSON (akwa ibom)

ogonogo: Basically, Mode9 is complaining about the same thing most conscience American rappers are complaining about. The game has changed and lyrics no longer matter. People want a catchy beat and a catchy hook, something that can be played in a club for dancing. American hip hop, once dominated by New York rappers and a few West Coast acts like Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube etc, now see its industry dominated by mostly Southern rappers who for the most part just find a loud bass beat and a catchy chorus and its a hit. Old school artists either conform to the change or remain with their old style and hope they have enough fans to continue to support them.

You cant tell people what they should or shouldn't like. When rap first started, they ruined the careers of a lot of r&b singers and instrument players. I mean these are people who actually went to school to study how to sing or how to play the piano etc. All of the sudden, somebody chanting rhymes on a microphone to a beat on a record player is now a BIG SUPERSTAR artist and the music is called rap. People change as time changes. Na so life be.

I think we should just form a group of few individuals with the aim of finding ways to reduce unemployment among nigerian graduates. It will be people oriented that even after we have gotten good jobs,the group still functions. we can work together if you are ready,with few other people that are interested

Bees,ants and many other social insects despite the size of their brains,come together to build up hills for shelter,to store up food when its abundant for the next season because of the uncertainty in weather conditions or in case of famine!!

Truck drivers,mechanics,pepper grinders,market women and less educated entrepreneur also have their associations. They come together and look for ways forward!!they think ahead and avert any thing they think might be an obstruction in their various endeavors. So why cant we as graduate come together to solve these problems!!

Let's use our brains to solve our own problems. The government is not ready to carter for us.
Nigeria youths are not lazy and not violent. During the Fuel subsidy crisis I was in ibadan when old men were trying to protest,youth were sleeping inside but during the time for recruitment by National population commission the crowd was so much that a fight broke out. This is just to show you how ready we are to work.
There was a time the senate were debating on paying jobless youth if there was an association like this am sure we would have done something about it..
Joblessness in Nigeria is terrible and the statistics is Huge

In those years pastors were really devoted to serving God and have no other jobs.they had no other source of livelihood but relie on thanksgiving tithes and offerings.And more so they always take care of their floks..but these days pastor collect our tithes,offerings,and thanksgiving they buyaircraft and don't even care about the poor,church universities are the most expensive to attend....don't you think we should review the bible expecially the aspect of tithe and start giving our tithe to beggars and Needy that can't pay us back

All students of the college of animal science and livestock production university of Agriculture got scammed by the college. We were all asked to pay the sum of three thousand naira to launch us into an association called NIAS (National Association of Animal Scientist) since 2010 till date nothing has been done about it, the last thing we heard was everyone should send their account numbers to a particular number if we wish our money should be refunded!!!

So if you guys think we've forgotten,hell no we have only forgotten to inform our lawyers
And don't for get that the knowledge u guys impacted in us still lives on so we still do remember the" time value of money" and even if it has been kept in a bank it would have yielded interest, if invested in business money would have been made . so please return our monies to us oooh..before we take legal actions against you guys
