It is worrisome that Nigerian indigenous languages are dying while English is becoming more prominent. Soonest nobody will be reading Yoruba Hausa and Igbo books again let alone speaking them-What Happens when our mother tonque goes into extinction BC of colonial mentality? English and our mother tonque should be developed simultaneously with different roles assigned to them. |
Everybody has a decision to make. Career or family? It is good however to blend the two together--children raised in a family where mother has no time and father is divorced may grow up to have no belief in family unity and togetherness-they tend to do things as they like imitating BAD example of their parents.Family unity should not be allowed to suffer BC of career which is temporary and frustrating at times., unlike family togetherness that endures forever |
I am happy with this procedure-it is inspiring to me-- may god be with the mother and the baby----many thanks to the doctors involved in the surgery |
We have a long way to go in our educational system-our curriculums must be revised and updated with the ,modern trends-This begins with the workforce in our instutions, the facilities we have on ground and the incentives for academics-Many students do not even want to learn again. All they want is yahoo yahoo and dishonest businesses. I believe if we harness our efforts, we can still have functional education in Nigeria |
Is wrong driving not taking place in the whole country? Do law enforcement agents in the country care about this? How many road users in Nigeria have drivers licenses?why is this man s case different? All because he is a victim of circumstances......what if the governor was not involved would he be taken to court?we still have a long way to go in this country! |
It is painful that the woman died. A lot of complications can arise during pregnancies-One of them is anamiea. This is usually managed if a pregnant woman is supervised medically before delivery-However when it comes to blood transfusion, patient decision must be respected-it is a medical ethic.I have seen a lot of Jehovah s witnesses in this anamiec condition , yet they gave birth to bouncing babies.I sympathise with the man and his household.may God comfort him. |
Coalition movement is dead on arrival.... |
I have Jehovah witnesses as friend colleagues and acquitances-I salute them for their courage and determination to preach the good news- my interaction with them shows that they are not proud but humble Christians.---while it true that some missionaries in Christiandom preached in 17 or 18 century, it is only witnesses who are still preaching till today.Mathew 28 19-20says preaching should continue till the end of this world not a momentary work but a continuous work.Today. only witnesses are still preaching in 240 countries including Nigeria.all of them preach because it is a necessity for them--1cor 9:16__many people spread rumours about witnesses because of their religious distinction-When I got to their headquarters in Warwick USA and Igieduma Benin, Edo State, I knew that they are organised Christians whose primary responsibility is to preach the good news. Finally unless we close our eyes to reality. Witnesses are those who zealously preach from door to door.Their work impacts on many peoples lives- They don't discriminate or condemn people---They are Christians who are imitating Jesus as envagelisers |
I remember him in VUGA-- an epic film |
Lies unlimited! |
This is a coalition of corruption ,deception, embezzlement and money laundering! All of them were in government for 4. 8 16 years. The question is what did they do for the masses? It is another step to look for their daily bread and share the national cake again. |
Deception upon deception! Who has not tasted power among them?what did they do for Nigerians? It is definitely another step to enrich themseleves? Only God can save Nigerian masses not this deceptive coalition of trouble makers who only are after their pockets. |
solite3:Jehovah's witnesses imitate Jesus in many ways-Some are as follows: 1 We preach the good news of god's kingdom from door to door village to village city to city in imitation of Jesus-(Mathew 10 : 10 -13) 2. In imitation of Jesus, we preach about God's kingdom (Mathews 10 vrs 7) 3 All Jehovah's witnesses are brothers ..no special titles are used for them like Jesus who did not use titles for himself (Mathew 23 vs 8 -10) 4. We also witness about god given role of Jesus in salvation of man (john 14:6) 5. Our activities are based on the Bible not tradition in imitation of Jesus( Mathew 15:3,6) 5 we show love to one another in imitation of Jesus-Our love has no boundary .we don't kill one another because of religious ethnic or political wars. we assist one another in time of natural disasters and care for one another regardless of our racial differences (john 13: 34-35) 6. We observe the memorial of the death of our lord Jesus as he commanded ( Luke 22:19) 7. Like Jesus we direct attention of people to God's kingdom as the only solution to mankind problems with Jesus Christ as the king (Act 1 : ,and many other numerous ways which space cannot accommodate here. On the name of God, whose name did Jesus make known in John 17:6? pls find out you will know it is Jehovah. The Jews used the rendition of the name in Hebrew language.Archeological findings even support the existence of the name among the Orientals and the patriarchs .In addition,at Mathews chapter 6:9-10) whose name did Jesus say should be made holy? God's name of course---Jehovah- The third issue you raised is in Act 1 :8. where Jesus said you will be my witness es in Judea etc. This verse does not contradict Isaiah 43 10-12 where god says-you will be my witnesses- To start with, who sent Jesus to the earth? who made him our savior and Ransomer? who made him our lord? Who resurrected him? whom did he go to in heaven aft this resurrection? Answers are Jehovah (Phil 2:5-9) . It is the will of God that people of all sorts be saved through him (1Timothy:2 vrs 4-5) So by the time the truths about Jesus are publicised through organised preaching we are doing, we are witnessing about Jehovah who made salvation possible through Jesus Christ. . |
solite3:The purpose of what I say here is not to win argument but to express our belief which may be different from yours- Everybody is entitled to his opinion-However I want to reiterate that Jehovah's witnesses do not have a hide and seek operational system. All we do is in the full glare of the public including our worship and evangelism which are done in more than 240 countries-In addition, Jesus ,our lord, used God'name (John 17:6) and witnessed about God( Rev 1 :2, 5).Besides, it is true disciples were called Christians in the first century CE, but right from the Bible times God's people were called his witnesses-Jesus was even referred to as God, witness (Rev 1 vrs 2 and 5).Thus, it is appropriate for us to bear the scriptural name christian Jehovah's witnesses (Isaiah 43:10-12) in imitation of Jesus- |
solite3:Your opiinion is respected. However, Jehovah's witnesses are not peddlars of the good news neither are they running a religious business organisation-We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour (John 14 vrs 6. Acts 4 12 Isaiah 9 vrs 6) and take him as a model (I Peter 2 vrs 21) but we give our exclusive devotion to Almighty God Jehovah (Psalms 83 :18) Jesus our Lord and saviour worshiped him too and prayed to him always (Mathew 6 9 to 13).We are imitating him too . |
I am one of Jehovah"s witnesses too. what we believe is based on the BIble and we allow Bible to be the only source of our teachings-We are imperfect like other people but we strive to follow godly principles always. We don't criticise people because of their beliefs but are are glad to discuss Bible with everybody-Our website is jw.org where answers are provided to many questions .You can also download our publications and christian videos there-The website has been translated into more than Four hundred languages-At our places of worship, there is no class distinction or special seat for a person. we are all brothers serving God-No special dress for anybody-It may interest you to know that there are over 400 000 congregations of Jehovah's witnesses in Nigeria and we study same things and worship same way all over the country-We appreciate the time you give us when we visit you and we will continue to be humble servants of God and followers of our Lord , Jesus |
Why celebrating Christmas when Jesus did not do so and his birth date was not December? Why allowing pagan customs to interfere in Christianity? Is Father Christmas in the Bible? Can any festivity that does not originate in the Bible have approval of God? Jesus never asked christians to observe his birthday .The only remembrance he made compulsory is that of his death (Luke 22:19) Besides, gift giving is a christian practice unrestricted to December 25. (Hebrews 13:1) While everybody's opinion on Christmas is respected, the Bible view on it is still sacrosanct. It is a festival whose origin is not from the Bible but the pagan world |

Religion is a very personal and sensitive matter-However' it good to avoid sentiments when reporting issues on religion-I had the privilege of attending the Regional convention of Jehovah witnesses and I listened to rich and upbuilding talks. One of the talks was on Jesus Christ with the title: /How the Jesus Christ Loyalty as the High Priest Helps Us. A video was even released in the talk with the title: For a Certainty You are the Lord and Christ Part 1and 2"They are good films on Jesus Christ-On discipline the wrongdoers, winessses are imperfect they make mistakes but unrepentant wrongdoers are disfellowshipped- The witnesses never shield wrongdoers from the government if they commit an offence against the law of the land- Besides, witnesses believe only the Bible is inspired. Thus, they review what they teach with their understanding of the Bible-They are good people practicing true Christianity without underating anybody because of their diverse brliefs- |
okro is good for the cure of DIABETES.Those who eat it dont have diabetes |
I RESPECT PEOPLES OPINION ON RELIGION.HOWEVER. WHEN WRITING A PUBLIC EXAM.,CANDIDATES FACES SHOULD BE OPEN FOR PEOPLE TO SEE. THE GIRL SHIULD HAVE USED THE HYJAB THAT LEAVES ONLY HER FACE OPEN. FOR HER IDENTITY TO BE KNOWN AND CONFIRMED..THE SUPERVISOR,ON THE OTHER HAND,SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HER OUT WITH FEMALE INVIGILATORS AND CONFIRM HER IDENTITY BEFORE INSTRUCTING HER TO START USING THE FACE OPEN-OPEN HYJAP FOR THE REST OF EXAMS..FINALLY, LET GIV PEACE A CHANCE AND WORK TOGETHER REGARDLESS IF OUR RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCES. |
THE NFF IS NOT SEROIUS AT ALL. YOU DID NOT PAY SIASIA AND THE TEAM'S SALARY ON THE GROUND THAT HE WAS BIASED IN HIS CHOICE OF PLAYERS.IS THAT REASONABLE? I respect everybody s decision on tithe.however payment of thithe is not compulsory for christians today.it was for the isrealites malachi 3:10.Thee is no place in the Greek scripture where thithe is mentioned among first century christians. All they did was to pay as they resolved in their heart. 2corithian chapt 9 verse 7....god loves chereful giver....so thithe is not even madatory let alone keeping a card for it... |
