I pity Nigerian masses. Those who are making money on us are changing parties and we are happy. Politics is their money making wealth. All of them don't care about us but their families. Still masses are praising them on the social network. The regimes of Obasanjo Atiku, Yarduah Good luck Good luck Samnbo all ended in futility.. The rich are richer while the poor are poorer.. Buhari has just spent 3years to correct the 16 years of PDP wastage misguided and thoughtless masses are complaining Is Atiku the Savior now? or Tambuwal or Kwankwanso?majority of whom cannot steal as they desire under this regime. Every Nigeria is entitled to his opinion but Nigerian masses will regret going back to Egypt if all these thieves take over government again. As for me I am still in support of anti corruption crusade equal distribution of wealth equality under the law AND so on embarked upon by the current administration.

Actually the election will be won in Osun Central, Ijesha people will never accept Omisore apart from slightly people in Oriade, Omisore can only pull votes in Ife, ipetumodu and yes Modakeke. Apc will floor Osun west excluding Ede and the likes of Majeed, Adeoti will work in favour of Oyetola.

Central will decide the election which I hope both Apc, SDP and Pdp will go neck to neck but Im seeing Oyetola edging it out there.
Good and objective analysis...... The coast is clear for Oyetola.

22 years to build another schools that he built or construct another roads he constructed? The salary crisis is affecting Twenty six states in Nigeria including Osun. This was caused by the short fall in federal allocation because of fall in oil price in world market. That is why many states are using their allocation to pay part of salaries and community projects .Okonjo Ewealla foresaw this in 2014 when she saw the way PDP was looting our treasury and the possible collapse of oil market. This is the development that affected Osun too.I am not defending all the affected states. However Aregbesola still pay level 1-7 full salary. level 8to 10 75percent of their salaries while level 11 -25 have 50 percent as agreed by the state labour union. What can we say about states that did not even pay one naira and neither did they develop the states. Granted all the governors have areas to work on but any aspirant who uses salary construction work to campaign is a deceiver. Aregbesola is leaving legacies that will last long in Osun State compared to his predecessors who only stole our money and shared it as they liked for eight years without any communal project to show for it.

The people of Osun State will be liberated from the bondage they have been placed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state. Yoruba people said that PDP lost Ekiti Election because of Fayose owning 6 Months salaries. Let us wait and see if Apc will be voted out also in Osun State because Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is owing 2 Years salaries.
Politics › Re: Punch Cartoon About Ekiti Governorship Election 2018 by ejimatic: 9:24am On Jul 19, 2018
Vote buying is part of our politics in Nigeria and nobody can stop it. Politicians in our country influence voters by going to them before and during elections. That was what brought Fayose too as the governor. All the major parties in Nigeria are going that. In Ekiti election PDP bought votes days before election and during the election . Voters received bank alerts on their phones bearing Ekiti government raging from 3k to 7k while some were even given cash to influence them during the election. APC too gave money to voters from 5lk to 10k. However Ekiti people collected money from the two parties but still voted according to their preferences and consciences.Vote buying is just a strategy which is not tenable at the tribunal because it cannot be substantiated. In view of this, Ekiti election is still free and fair for there are no criminal reports on the election that are peculiar to all the wards that can mar the results of the election. The police report is also a credit to the election .
Politics › Re: Ekiti 2018: Politicians Bought Votes, More Clever Than Commission - INEC Admits by ejimatic: 4:32pm On Jul 18, 2018
Vote buying is not new in Nigeria. It is part of our society It does not mar or affect Ekiti election. It is a civil matter not criminal in nature. Thereforeit is not admissible at the election petition tribunal. Granted both parties wooed some voters with money before and during the election according to their financial power. However. Ekiti people still voted according to their preferences and consciences. They showed their wisdom and intelligence by collecting our money from both parties and spending it as they liked on the weekend.

These are not observers but PDP members in disguise. Observers don't protest over the conduct and results of an election. They only write their reports. These protesters have collected money and that is the work they are doing now..Both PDP and APC induced voters which is not a new thing in Nigerian politics. Thank you Ekiti people for collecting money from both parties still you followed your preferences and consciences. The protesters are educated illterates in political matters. The Ekiti people have with these results shown that they are educated and cannot be tossed around like grasses in the wind. Four years ago they went back to Egypt but today they are out of Egypt on the way to the promised land. Thanks to Ekiti people for collecting Eleka Olusola and Fayemi 's money and still voted according to their preferences and consciences. The money you all collected is our money. Spend it as you like. It is glarring that Fayose and his tatalong Eleka have lost the goodwill of people who are yet to see communal development they desire and effects of good governance on the masses. Ekiti with people cannot be deceived with stomach infrastructure again. Fayemi the governor elect should use his good intention to put smiles on Ekiti people. To whom much is given much is expected. I rejoice with the winner and sympathise with the loser. Thank you Ekiti .Thank you all the masses in the state. Thank you all the civil servants. Thank you all the youths and students. Politics › Re: Fayose Won’t Run Away From Nigeria, Not Afraid Of EFCC - Lere Olayinka by ejimatic: 1:24pm On Jul 16, 2018
Princsk1:
An undaunted Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti State, has said he will not abscond from Nigeria when his immunity from criminal prosecution elapses in October.

“He is not afraid of anything. What are they going to do to him. Is EFCC the court of law?” Mr Fayose’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, spoke during interview.

Mr Fayose, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is slated to hand over power to Kayode Fayemi, who flipped Ekiti State to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s governorship election, on October 16.
Mr Fayemi defeated Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, Mr Fayose’s deputy and PDP’s candidate, to reclaim the only South-west state held by PDP.

The state was APC until 2014 when Mr Fayemi, then governor from 2010-2014, lost his first reelection bid to Mr Fayose.

Mr Fayose won the June 2014 election in a landslide, defeating Mr Fayemi in all the 16 local government areas of the state.

Mr Fayose’s status as a PDP heavyweight quickly shaped up, especially as the only PDP governor in the Yoruba part of the country. He was later joined by then-Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who defected to the PDP from Labour Party in October 2014.

Mr Olusola-Eleka won in four local governments while Mr Fayemi won in 12 local governments.

Shortly after the election result was announced on Sunday, insinuations filtered that Mr Fayose may flee the country to avoid possible criminal charges as soon as he hands over to Mr Fayemi in three months’ time.

Other critics of the governor were even more brutal, saying he had concluded plans to hand over to his successor and flee the country days before his tenure expires. Hours after Mr Fayemi was declared winner, the anti-graft EFCC posted a tweet threatening to exhume Mr Fayose’s alleged poultry scam case.

Mr Fayose was removed from office on allegations that he looted funds meant for poultry farming in 2006. He was being prosecuted for that scandal and other similar cases of infractions which EFCC linked to while in office at the time.

The EFCC was criticised for the statement, which was taken down a few hours later. The agency, however, clarified later that the matter was never dormant, saying prosecution only stopped because Mr Fayose became a governor.

Mr Olayinka said there was no way the EFCC would be able to pin anything on his principal, whom he said would be willing to turn himself in after leaving office.

“Since 2015 that they started talking about Sambo Dasuki, how many Nigerians have they convicted?” Mr Olayinka said. “That was how they lied that the governor had a property on Gana Street in Maitama and nothing came out of it.”

Mr Olayinka said Ekiti has been “under siege” since the electioneering kicked into full gear two weeks ago in the state, a situation he said persisted even after the federal government had its favourite person as winner.

“The governor will hand over when the day comes in October,” Mr Olayinka said. “And if it is necessary that he should go to the EFCC for questioning after leaving office, he will go and meet them.”

PRESS STATEMENT

Fellow citizens of Ekiti State
Leaders and members of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Election Monitoring Groups (Local and International)
Nigerians - Home and Abroad; and
The International Community

Greetings!

I REJECT THE INEC RESULTS OF THE JULY 14, 2018 EKITI GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

You are all aware of the unfortunate and dangerous events of the past 24 hours, in which our governorship election was hijacked by political desperadoes leveraging on “Federal might” to pervert the electoral process, subvert the will of Ekiti people, and viciously steal the mandate willingly and freely given to me on a massive scale by our people.

PDP and I won the election overwhelmingly, receiving more than 70% of lawful votes cast and winning in almost all of the State’s 16 local government areas. I therefore reject the falsified results being bandied by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which purportedly gave the election to the All Progressives Congress and its Candidate; Dr. John Kayode Fayemi.

This is the most audacious electoral robbery of our recent history. It shall not stand. By the grace of Almighty God and your support, I will pursue and regain my mandate.

To rig this election, the APC leveraged on its well-advertised but patently obnoxious and anti-democratic “Federal might” to intimidate, harass, victimize, oppress, and brutalize PDP leaders, members, and the voting public all over Ekiti. This brutal and barbaric process, which started well before the election, did not spare Gov. Ayo Fayose and me; as the whole world had seen and had condemned. It is quite unfortunate that the harassment has continued even after the election.

On Saturday, July 14th, the security agencies and INEC upped the ante, threw all caution to the wind, went back on their promises to be impartial and to conduct credible elections; they sided with APC and Fayemi to the chagrin of our party, myself, and the good people of Ekiti State. Despite the alarm we had earlier raised, the security agencies not only supported but also supervised

• The indiscriminate arrest of our party leaders and agents

• The harassment and brutalization of voters on a massive scale, especially in Ado-Ekiti, Ikere and the suburbs

• Giving cover, tacit as well as active support to thugs imported into Ekiti by APC to snatch ballot boxes, create confusion, cause mayhem, and drive away voters in PDP strongholds

• Giving cover to APC agents as they financially and openly induced voters and bought votes at polling stations; and

• Driving away our polling agents from collation centres and illegal seizure of documents and materials in their possession, among many other infractions.

INEC on its own part reneged on its promise to have results counted, declared, and pasted on the wall of each polling station. There was nowhere INEC transmitted results from the polling centres as earlier promised. Ballot boxes were illegally moved to INEC offices while our agents were disallowed from following the process.

INEC also allowed late voting by APC in hideouts when it was obvious the figures still would not add up after all the infractions mentioned above. Still, when all of these shenanigans still failed to give them the figures they needed, they stopped the announcement of results ward-by-ward, caused a deliberate power outage at the collation centre, with no alternative source of power provided for a long time, and then wrote results in favour of APC and its candidate.

Without doubt, what has played out in Ekiti is the APC template for the 2019 General Election, where they have mapped out Rivers and Akwa Ibom as States they must capture at all costs, like they are now trying to do Ekiti. It is now left for the opposition and opposition figures, most especially presidential hopefuls in 2019, to stand up to be counted in the struggle to roll back President Muhammadu Buhari’s creeping fascism, or throw in the towel without a fight.

This is not just a sad day for Ekiti but also for democracy in Nigeria. Nothing demonstrates this better than the gloom that has enveloped our dear State since they announced their convoluted result. Ekiti mourns! But I ask our people not to be despondent but to keep hope alive, quoting the inimitable Chief MKO Abiola. This is another battle we will fight and win.

In doing this, however, I appeal to all Ekiti sons and daughters to eschew violence. They will try and provoke you but the good Lord will help you to keep calm.

Taking a cue from our great leader and democrat par excellence, ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, I wish to reiterate that my ambition is not worth the blood of a single Ekiti son or daughter.

We are not cultists and bloody hounds like them and shall therefore not allow them turn Ekiti into a killing field like they have done in the Middle Belt.
It remains for me to thank Ekiti for standing by me and our great party.

Our royal fathers and the Oloris, teachers, civil servants, Okada riders, Labour leaders, market women, artisans, and students – I appreciate your unflinching support. We thank every Nigerian desirous to see the growth and defence of our renascent democracy.

We thank the international community for their efforts and trust they will not let our people down in this their most trying moment.

Those bent on setting this country on fire for selfish reasons must be restrained and turned back by the international community, mindful of the recent experience of Rwanda, Kosovo, Liberia, Sierra-Leone, Cote D’Ivoire, to mention but a few.

The struggle has just started! I thank you.

Prof. Kolapo Olubunmi Olusola Eleka (Deputy Governor, Ekiti State & PDP governorship Candidate)
My attention has been drawn to a report in the Leadership paper on the above subject. The questions well meaning Nigerians would ask are as follows: Do the observers have the results in all the local governments? Who submitted the results to them? Do they substitute for INEC? Is their duty not only to observe and write eports? Did they visit all the local governments and wards? When it comes to inducement of voters can they differentiate between APC and PDP? How many people were harassed in their presence? is the coalition of observers different from Odunmakin led observers who described the election live on television as free and fair though with some minor hitches? How many people were killed or maimed in the local governments during the elections? Did both parties not induce voters? When did the coalition of observers become custodians of results..? Is the coalition report weightier than the police report on the matter? Finally the duty of observers is to look at the conduct of the election not keeping or getting results. As for the cases of harassment or inducement of voters they are all civil matters which hold no water at the tribunal. Objectively there is no criminal report in the Ekiti election that can warrant cancellation of the election. Therefore any submission of the coalition of observers is dead on arrival The wishes of the masses and voters as shown on the results are sacrosanct.

Issues raised here are not strong enough to cancel an election. They are not criminal for cancellation of results. They are only civil which hold no water at the tribunal. This petition is dead on arrival at the tribunal. Thank you Ekiti people for collecting Eleka -Fayose and Fayemi's money and still voted according to your preferences and consciences. See what happens when you rig in a hurry!

197,459 + 178,114 = 375,573 but INEC published that 316,019 was the total vote casted!

This brings the difference to a negative!

Also, why didn't they write the total number of votes for ADO and ISE/ORUN?

Can someone show this to PDP in case they have not seen it!

PDP should hold on to this result and fight their case because it's now obvious that INEC knocked off almost 60,000 votes from PDP!

INEC is the only body recognised by the constitution to declare results not Fayose or Eleka or Fayemi
It is true that Fayose and his tatalong Eleka have their own prepared results but what Nigerians have is INEC results. Check TVC twitter page for the accurate results from INEC

You are welcome to the promised land flowing with honey and milk.
