BECAUSE OF THEIR BIAFRA NONSENSE, ANIOMA WILL NOT LINK UP WITH IGBOS

Igbos of SE are the brethren of Anioma Igbos. We know it and we appreciate it.

We also know that Anioma have also got Edo ancestry. Therefore we also have Bini blood and we appreciate it.

Video: The Obi of Issele-Uku is a Descendant of Benin Kingdom

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rLQ5oZY5zE&t=198s

What Anioma does not appreciate is the violence that Igbos have allowed and are doing in the name of "Biafra".

Anioma does not want war or bloodshed in our ancestral land.

Igbos are now associated with terrorism. Anioma does not want such association.

Dear Ndi Igbo, it seems you have lost your way. Anioma will see you as our brothers under the name "Igbo". We shall reject you under the name "Biafra". Anioma was never part of any Biafra.

Also, the street gangs and terrorism that Biafrans have been given power to bring in Igbo land is a great shame. Anioma wants no part of that.

Ndi Igbo, if you want to relate with Anioma and with other Ethnic Nationalities of SS, you must tell us who you are. If you are Igbos, we are happy. If you are Biafrans then you are on your own.

Greetings and respect to my Igbo brethren.
Rubbish this is not true why not interview the people and find out.

Mee:

This is worrisome and underlined the prevalence of extreme poverty under the genocidal Buhari regime. Only 5% of individual Bank accounts in Nigeria has N500,000 ($800).

With this statistic by the Bank regulatory body, it is not an understatement to declare that presently Nigerians are extremely poor.

And it was in the midst of this extreme poverty and hunger that Buhari's jobless son recently distributed iPhone13 and iPad as souvenirs in his wedding. The most expensive and extravagant wedding in the history of Nigeria.

kollinzgee:
Currently there is war in Ethiopia, the Tplf( tigray people liberation force) Versus the Ethiopian armed forces are slugging it out since November 2020 hundreds of thousands have lost their lives .geographically tigray is at a great disadvantage it is landlocked and totally sorrounded by enemies territory, the only hope they have is a tiny border they share with south Sudan.it is a region hated by all Ethiopian regions and neighbouring countries like eriteria.

Tigray looks a lot similar to Igboland just that tigray has ruled Ethiopia for roughly 3 decades but southeast hasn't,but geographically and ideologically we have a lot in common, just like Igbos they are not afraid of taking up arms against the state if they are oppressed and geographically they are totally landlocked, but here is the team the militia wing of tigray (Tplf) are doing really well in this war compared to the shock of the world i heard somewhere they are advancing towards Addis Ababa to capture it ,earlier this year they ousted the Ethiopian army from their region forcing the to rereat down south now they are capturing large territories.

Can someone please tell me if ESN of the southeast is not good enough to match Tplf capabilities, besides they have a better chance to get more recruits based on the willing youths of the southeast,is ESN not good enough to make such conquest?

According to Asari-Dokubo, Igbos only have the ability to turn money into money — nothing more. He warned that the peaceful atmosphere needed to ensure businesses thrive, is threatened due to the activities of the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ troubling the Southeast.
“Southeast Nigeria has almost no substantial

The only thing the Igbos in the East have to their advantage is the ability to turn money into more money, but they can only achieve that if the East is peaceful for business,” Asari-Dokubo said via his Justice Foundation Facebook page on Tuesday.

“Today the Southeast has begun a movement that could turn the East into a desolate desert.

PoliticsRe: Did Peter Obi Actually Break The Law? by ekesol: 8:58pm On Oct 05, 2021
AnonPoet:
I had the privilege to stumble on a report titled: “Pandora Papers: Inside Peter Obi’s secret businesses — and how he broke the law”. It was written by one Taiwo-Hassan Adebayoand published in Premium Times Newspaper on the 4th day ofOctober, 2021. Most Nigerian and indeed my humble self, had perceived Peter Obi to be an epitome of transparency, good governance, patriotism and economic astuteness. This perception heightened my curiosity to read through the article in order to discover the hidden secrets which the article had to bear against the former two term Governor of Anambra State and the Vice-Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2019 national election. Having read through the article, my lawyerly self queried whether Peter Obi actually violated the law as alleged in the article. This prompted my decision to dispassionately test the allegations against Peter Obi against the provisions of the law.

The allegations in the article basically bother on allegations of tax evasion and non-declaration of certain jointly owned assets by Peter Obi. It was argued that Peter Obi committed the offence of tax evasion by establishing a company outside the shores of Nigeria in “havens where little or no taxes are paid”. It was further argued that Peter Obi committed a crime by non-declaration of some of his jointly owned assets outside the shores of Nigeria and failure to resign from the board of directors of those companies 14 months after assuming the office of the Governor in Anambra state. These allegations shall be addressed seriatim.

It must be stated there is a world of difference between allegation, facts and evidence. Allegation are mere claims and assertion of a person’s wrong doing that are not yet proven. Facts are events that are confirmed or verifiable. While evidence are concrete facts used to support an assertion or a claim. At the moment, the claims of the Adebayo against Peter Obi are still within the realm of mere allegations. However, this article will proceed with the assumption without necessarily conceding that Adebayo’s claims against Peter Obi are factual, as the said Peter Obi still enjoys the presumption of innocence in his favour as protected by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This presumption stands unshaken until otherwise proven.

A cursory look at Adebayo’s article would reveal that the author seems to have confused tax avoidance for tax evasion. It is appreciated that both terms may easily be mistaken one for another or erroneously used interchangeably except for persons who are well informed about tax laws. In simply terms, tax evasion is an offence, whereas tax avoidance is not an offence. At this point, it must be stated that on the authority of Section 36 (12) of the Nigerian Constitution, a person shall not be held liable for an offence except such offence is expressly defined by a written law and a sentence specifically prescribed thereto. The case of George v. FRN (2015) All FWLR (Pt. 718) 879 is apt in this regard.

In Nigeria, tax evasion used in two sense. First, as a specific offence. Second, as generic expression for acts of tax non-compliance or violation of tax laws. Section 26 Value Added Tax Act 1993 and Section 164 Custom and Excise Management Act 1959 are the two known tax law provisions that specifically provide for the offence of tax offence. Every other tax offence, including, omitting or understating income in order to make incorrect return; failure to keep the required records; refusal or neglect to pay tax; dishonest declaration of income, earnings or assets; fraudulent tax returns, etc. are loosely referred to as tax offences. However, the definition of the “tax evasion” in the two aforementioned tax law provisions has nothing to do with a business man deciding which part of the country to invest his legitimately earned money. It would be preposterous and despotic for any government to even prevent any entity from making such business decision, when the same government do solicit for foreigners to invest in the Nigerian economy. Why should a Nigerian be penalised for deciding to invest his resources in other countries irrespective of the prevailing tax rate in that country? Indeed, the question to ask is: is there any Nigerian law that prohibits and penalises a Nigeria from investing in any jurisdiction outside Nigeria? Adebayo did not mention any. My guess is, he could not find any.

Business owners and entities ordinarily direct their business undertakings in such a way as to avoid financial liabilities including payment of tax. This is what is also known as tax planning. To quote Lord Clyde in the case of Ayrshire Pullman Motor Services and D. M. Ritchin v. Commissioner of Inland Revenue, (1920) 14 Tax Cas 754, 763–764: “No man in this country is under the smallest obligation moral or otherwise so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Inland Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores. The Inland Revenue is not slow and quite rightly to take every advantage, which is open to it under the taxing statutes for the purpose of depleting the taxpayer’s pocket. And the taxpayer is in like manner entitled to be astute to prevent so far as he honestly can the depletion of his means by the Revenue. Every company has the option of carrying out tax planning in order to minimize tax liability within the law of the territory in which it operates”.

There are tax avoidance schemes that is even recognized by tax laws. Individuals or companies may avoid payment of tax by simply increasing its capital expenditure in order to reduce its taxable profit. In this instance, the company would be said to be taken advantage of section 24 of the Company Income Tax Act (CITA) which includes certain capital expenditures as allowable deductions. This would be regarded as measures taken to reduce its tax liability. Provided such act is not prohibited by law, the company cannot be said to have committed any tax offence.

Provided that a particular scheme to avoid or reduce tax liabilities are not prohibited by law, they are still within the realm of tax avoidance and no criminal liability can accrue thereto. The best the government can do to address the incidence of tax evasion is to identify tax avoidance schemes and then get the legislature to criminalise it. Then again, the legislative enactment criminalising such act has effectively moved from tax avoidance into the realm of tax evasion. Until there is a law prohibiting a Nigerian from investing outside the shores of Nigeria, Peter Obi cannot be said to have committed the offence of tax evasion or any other tax offence(s), however so called.

On the issue of non-declaration of jointly or partly owned foreign asset: the law which addresses this subject is majorly the constitution and the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.Section 11 (1) (b) Part I Fifth Schedule to the Constitution Adebayo referred to requires a public officer to declare his properties, assets, and liabilities. The said provision did not specifically require the declaration of jointly or partly owned assets. It is appreciated that a public officer is required to declare his assets in view of the public trust reposed in the office they occupy. It would be irrational to expose assets that are partly owned by other individuals, when they are not the ones occupying the public office in question. Some business investors actually prefer to invest quietly, hence, a declaration of their jointly owned assets breach that business trust which they expect from their business partners. The otherwise could amount to a breach of the right to privacy and quiet enjoyment of the property of these individuals.

It is to be noted that Section 6 (b) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act did not prohibit a public officer from holding an interest in a company. It only prevents the said public officer not to personally “engage or participate in the management or running of any private business, profession or trade”. To my mind this does not preclude a public officer to shut down his hitherto existing business or profession simply upon his assumption of public office. It would be unreasonable for the law to expect that of such public officer. Provided the public officer is not personally involved in administering the business while in office, he is in the right side of the law. The appointment of nominee directors by companies are legitimate and well known corporate law practice recognised by the Companies and Allied Matters Act. More so, Nigerian law recognises that companies have distinct personalities different from its shareholders and directors. As such, it is legally incorrect to say that a person owns a company. Adebayo failed to tie down Peter Obi’s personal involvement in the administration of the companies while occupying the office of the governor of Anambra State.

mrakeli62:
Our Philosophy is Peaceful, We 've No Hands in Killings, Destructions in Biafra Land - IPOB

We are the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU. Our attention has been drawn to the fallacious and ridiculous statement from the most hopeless man in Alaigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, asking IPOB to stop killing our people. We see this statement as that of a drowning man who wants to grab anything to stay afloat.

Nnia Nwodo is only seeking relevance and feels the only way to get relevance is to make statements about IPOB. He has come again. Nwodo should not forget what he did against IPOB when he was President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. It is like his money has finished and he expects his slaves master to send him more money by attacking IPOB.

This old man is confused and will remain confused till his death. We have questions to ask Nnia Nwodo over his ranting: Has he investigated those who attacked Ajali Police station and confirmed they were IPOB? Has he also investigated who attacked the convoy of Hon Chris Azubogu when he was coming back from Awka to Nnewi, where he dumped PDP for APC, and confirmed it was IPOB? Instead of this fulani stooge to caution politicians like him, he is busy chasing shadows and accusing IPOB . Our philosophy is peaceful restoration of Biafra. We have no hands in the senseless killings in Biafra land but Nwodo and traitors like him will want to link us with these atrocities just to impress their Fulani slavemasters.

It seems Nnia Nwodo wants to use IPOB to be relevant again? Since he left as President General of Ohaneze he has not been relevant for long. He wants to use IPOB like Joe Igbokwe and Osita Okechukwu, DG of VON, to be relevant and attract sympathy from APC party. Shameless people in display! Fulani in charge of APC and in control of Nigeria government can never give them recognition, no matter what they do.

We wish to thank all those that complied with our directive to sit-at-home on 1st October, 2021. We thank you all for your compliance, and for rejecting Nigeria and her tribalalistic Fulani-controlled government in Abuja.

We equally appreciate and commend those institutions and churches including companies who on their own, dismantled Nigeria flags in their premises. Thank you for your cooperation. IPOB will never relent in our resolve to restore Biafra.

Any institution, company, hotel, etc that is yet to comply with this directive should stop waiting for us to remove the flags for them. They should simply do the needful because disobedience is not a good option.

We restate our belief in peaceful restoration of Biafra. IPOB has no hands in the senseless attacks going on in our territory. We are freedom seekers and we remain peaceful in our pursuit for freedom of Biafra. We have nothing to do with the zoo politics.

The Federal High Court, Abuja on Wednesday, prohibited the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) and any other agency from retrying former Abia State  Governor Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu over alleged N7.1 billion fraud.

Our correspondents in various states and cities in Nigeria  are reporting a series of wild jubilation in the streets as news broke out on  Kalu’s victory against the EFCC.

From Abia to Lagos , Abuja to Borno,   Enugu to Kaduna  the activities are same : people streaming to the streets to celebrate what they call “Justice for democracy and fulfillment of God's plan" Those who could not join in the streets gather in small groups to discuss the good news of the day and it’s consequence to 2023 politics .

Alhaji Issa Ibrahim who spoke on behalf of the jubilants in Maiduguri hailed Justice Inyang Ekwo for standing on the path of justice and promoting ingredients of  democracy . He said the judgment has renewed a fresh hope in the judicial  system and hailed  Kalu for jumping what he referred to  as "2023 hurdle set for him"

" We the people of Maiduguri like uprightness, courage and sincerity and we are grateful to the Judge for his courage in standing firm in what is right.  We are also happy that Senator Orji Kalu has jumped the biggest hurdle set for him against 2023. It has also proven he is unstoppable and we will continue to stand with him to get the crown he deserves" Alhaji Ibrahim said

In Aba, Pastor Chris Okorie said he is not surprised on the judgment considering what God once told him about Orji Kalu.  He said God allowed Kalu to pass the entire judicial process because of the job he is being prepared for.

He said "the Coast is clearer for Kalu adding that the jubilation is not just for the court  victory but the great  leadership they all experienced during Kalu's time as Governor.

In Abuja , Enugu , Lagos,  it is the  same jubilation as people who had glued to their radio sets and television waiting for the announcement of the ruling of the  Federal High Court, erupted in joy to the streets when it eventually came in favour of Kalu.

The trial judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo who  gave the order while delivering judgment in the application filed by Kalu  seeking an order of court prohibiting the Federal Government through the EFCC from retrying him on a charge for which he had already been tried and convicted said

“An order is hereby made prohibiting the Federal Government through the EFCC, her agents, officers, servants, other agents and any other person or bodies deriving authority from the Federal Government from retrying the applicant (Kalu) on charge no. FHC/ABJ/CR/56/2007 FRN vs Kalu and two others on or any other charge based on the same facts, the said applicant having been tried, convicted and sentenced by the judgment of this court dated Dec. 5, 2019 by Justice M.B Idris.”

Justice Ekwo held that since Kalu was not mentioned in the judgment of the Supreme Court, which voided his earlier conviction and sentencing and ordered a retrial, the judgment did not apply to him.

General Ditari also say that his speech should be forwarded everywhere, so that people who care for their relatives in these Ijaw Republic territories, will call them back home before this war.
The Ijaw tribe was unjustly Balkanized into more than 6 States, when all Ijaw territories share perfect boundaries with each other.
Every other areas mineral resources are for them alone, Zamfara and other Northern States gold are for them alone, the Limestone they use in doing cement, are for the people alone, the Quarry rock, they use in doing gravel for construction, are for their people alone, only Ijaw crude oil that is for everybody.
He also added that, the Ijaws who take bribe, it's little from their own money, they take from, and give to them, and how can a person be bribed with his or her own money.

To the Ijaw people.
General Ditari is exactly like the Moses of the Isrealites in the Bible.

Oracle26:
ALERT: IMO PDP WANTS TO DESTROY IMO STATE

By Collins Ughalaa KSC

It appears we have not heard the last of Emeka Ihedioha's post-defeat stress disorder. Yesterday, the Emeka-nized Imo PDP released another cocktail of lies titled IMO ASSEMBLY: UZODINMA AND REIGN OF TYRANNY. In this propaganda, the deserted party tried to project Governor Hope Uzodinma as a tyrant. They tried to clothe him with every vice commonly known to have characterised Ihedioha's seven-and-a-half month misrule in Imo. Ever since this haughty Emeka was cast down from power, he has tried relentlessly to inflict Imo with his delusions to no avail, yet he continues to try. Although fully aware that the said write-up, as usual, was prepared for the diaspora, with a view to discouraging investment (the party is despised at home since it adopted Emeka as sole heir) we respond for the sake of posterity.

Did you know that despite posing as Governor for 231 days, Imo people never forced Emeka Ihedioha to return his illegitimate salaries and jumbo allowances? Terrible mistake. Actually, the thinking was that with all his talk of integrity "my word, my bond" and all sorts of borrowed mantras, Emeka would promptly reimburse the state, issue a tearful public apology and proceed on sabbatical. Emeka's illegal reign was nothing short of an insurgency, a rebellion against the voice of the people and the voice of God. In other climes, impostors like Emeka are stripped naked and hurled into exile. In transport parlance, riotous passengers like Emeka are immediately off-loaded. Here we continue to harbour him because of our good nature as a people and the magnanimity of the new Sheriff, Governor Hope Uzodinma.

How does Emeka repay this unmerited favour? Sabotage, blackmail, and hate preaching.

Not only has he bullied the PDP into zombie mode, that party now churns out barefaced lies, untruths, and hate sermons targeting the government and people of Imo State. All at Emeka's instance.

Desperation, and mass hysteria have become the defining features of the political opposition in Imo State.

In any case, the claims of the PDP are, as usual, patently false. The PDP does not even know the meaning of tyranny, otherwise it would have sensed that the ill fated Ihedioha regime was the epitome of tyranny. The facts speak for themselves. It was the Ihedioha regime that slapped the wife of Uche Nwosu, former governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), and invaded the private residence of former governor Rochas Okorocha, now Senator Representing Imo West. The PDP chased Okorocha out of the State and declared him persona non grata. As if that was not enough, the Ihedioha regime led thousands of thugs chanting warsongs to the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, to waylay Okorocha. The thugs, led by the former Secretary to the regime Barrister Uche Onyeagucha (we dislike to associate him with barristers) also stormed the IICC, blocking the ever busy Warehouse Junction in search of Okorocha.

This same Ihedioha slapped his security aides, (those who put their lives on the line for him) and ordered them to frog jump because "they did not salute him".

But in its hypocrisy, the PDP glosses over these acts of tyranny by its Messiah - Ihedioha - and chooses to describe a thorough democrat, consensus builder, a performing governor Hope Uzodinma, as a tyrant, when he has not displayed any act resembling tyranny.

On the contrary, it was Emeka who handled the House of Assembly like his bunch of keys. The moment he laid hands on the certificate of return in 2019, Emeka put up key positions in the House on sale. As so-called governor, he presided over the literal bargaining of principal posts of the legislature from one auction House to the next under the cover of darkness. At some of these meetings brave House Members rebuked him for daring to pollute the sanctity of the legislature and fights broke out.

In the end, Ihedioha single handedly selected the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly and the entire leadership of the House. He was a regular visitor to the Officer of the Speaker and he pocketed the House. The House did his biddings so much so that the speaker at the time relocated to the Government House and was consequently dubbed Follow-Follow Speaker. Ihedioha whimsically removed elected Chairmen and councillors of the 27 Local Government Areas of the State. He also whimsically removed tenured appointees. If these were not acts of tyranny, what else are?

If not that the party has lost its conscience, it should leave the room when corruption is being discussed. The PDP is known as the 'share the money' party because of the callous manner in which the treasury is pillaged under its watch. True to form, Emeka epitomised this. In the seven and a half months that aberration endured, Emeka seized hectares from communities in the pretext of looking for contiguous land for state farms. His wasteful overseas trips (purportedly to secure foreign investment) yielded only promissory notes after gulping hundreds of millions of public money.

Emeka undertook an ambitious expansion of his mansion in new Owerri, ordered a brand new premium luxury Mercedes bus worth N280m at the time, and appropriated One Billion Naira to renovate his office, while pensioners starved. While he spoiled himself with brand new toys, he acquired second hand vehicles for the Imo State House of Assembly and re-sold at two times the market value to House Members. For almost five months of that regime, he subjected pensioners to a dubious verification exercise after which he declared that he would not pay any inherited arrears. Under him, the government ceased to be a continuum.

Under Emeka, the reporting of IGR was consistently padded apparently to impress lenders while he disbursed billions of state funds to prop up his flacid case at the tribunals. What about the billions spent chasing awards all in the pursuit of legitimacy? What about the mindless looting of the Local Government purse? When will Emeka show Imo people where he buried the N19.6bn siphoned through the Bureau of Local Governments under his watch?

When Imo people complained of bad roads under Ihedioha, the PDP either told them to wait for the next dry season, or referred them to Buhari. Ray Emeana, a member of that government and current Secretary of Emeka's PDP, went on the radio to chide Imo people for demanding good governance. He said Mr. President ought to come and fix the critical Owerri-Okigwe, Owerri-Orlu roads, etc. Imo wailed but Emeka hunted unicorns. PDP, the share the money party, cheered as Ihedioha began to share the money to cronies through a so-called 27 stadia project. Nothing could be more irresponsible. What says tyrant than feasting while the people starve.

Utterly engrossed in profanity, Emeka failed to see the handwriting on the wall. He had his shot. He blew it. Today, he wants to distract a performing governor. He wants to draw Imo into mourning. He wants his sorrow to be our song. God forbid! Emeka, and his circus, should know that as long as he continues to put his interest before Imo, as long as he seeks to eclipse the peoples' Hope, as long as he seeks the downfall of Governor Hope Uzodinma, God's universe will continue to resist him.

Prosperity has come to stay.
Rubbish. Go and tell your criminal hope uzodinma to fix the state rather than chase shadows.
Ever since your criminal uzodinma came to imo state as gorvernor it has been hell for imo citizens
