Rubbish.
Your Boss looted the state dry and U want them to give stupid justice?
Mind you it's not only Okorocha that has been a gorvernor, Ikedi ohakim, udenwa, Mbakwen of blessed memory. Your Boss went ahead to convert public property to his. That is called betrayal of trust to the people. In a normal society the should be in Prison by now but because of the animal kingdom we are , he is still walking free. Jacob Zuma his surprised friend and fellow looter is cooling off in prison but here same Okorocha is busy taking chieftaincy titles in the whole country with looted funds he has acquired.
How can one man loot close to more 200 properties and he still walking free. Well I blame the people of Nigeria, they should Lynch public office looters themselves since the govt can no longer do its job because of mediocrity.
I even read over the radio that one of the chieftaincy conferred on him has been withdrawn in Ogun state.
Yea they did the right thing but they should have asked to return the looted funds back to the state.

We are our the cause of our travails.

PoliticsRe: Obiora Okonkwo: Everybody In Anambra Is Talking About Zenith Labour Party Now by ekesol: 2:17pm On Aug 07, 2021
nairavsdollars:
Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the November 6 governorship election in Anambra state, speaks with journalists on his plans for the state if elected, challenges ahead and how he hopes to surmount them. TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI brings the excerpts:

Many people believe that you are popular and you have what it takes to be the governor of a state, but with ZLP, what structure will you use to win the November 6 election, especially considering the time constraints before the poll?

You are right because you need the political structure to win an election. The essence of structure is about servicing them. We are relying on what we built as personal structures. The Zenith Labour party may not have all their cells right now, but we can populate the entire structure in 48 hours. As we speak today, my team is having an audit of the party in the state. We controlled 80 per cent of PDP structure. And I told you that nobody has left our structure. Zenith Labour Party is the latest talk in town and I am happy about it.

Are you hoping that the crises in other parties would work to your advantage?

The winner of this election will be determined by the personality and antecedents of individual and then the stability of your own ticket. If you are the best candidate and you are in a good party with a large number of litigations, you know what it means. I know that the people wanted us and what we need to do is just to remind them that it is no more about party anymore but the individual candidate.

It might interest you to know that there is an organisation called Save Anambra Group, which was set up by a good number of politicians in the state who are unhappy with what has become the outcome of the primaries in various political parties. They are also desirous of having a consensus candidate and I happen to be their choice. We are inheriting about five other political parties. We are moving with a lot of people and we have chosen our deputy, Mrs. Balonwu. With that, we think we should be able to get votes from the North because she is quite acceptable.

Where do you think Anambra is and where do you want to take it to?

Since the advent of this Fourth Republic in 2019, Anambra has not fared well. I can tell you that Ebonyi and Enugu have progressed more than Anambra. We are strong individually but as a state, we have not benefitted anything from this democracy because of the people who have governed. We have looked at all these problems and we understood them and we have developed a 10-point agenda to deal with all aspects of problems in Anambra State. Obviously, it is not a rhetoric. There is nothing in that 10-point agenda that I am not doing as an individual. If you talk about human capital development, I am there; if you talk about value reorientation, I am there.

The biggest problem that we have in Anambra State is that we have abandoned our virtues. You need huge infrastructure development in Anambra State and this must come from huge bulk funds. Those bulk funds we have access to. We can access up to $10 billion into Anambra and the entire South East will benefit economically. If the funds are prudently used, the multiplier effects will show in four years. We have looked at it, that a typical Anambra person does not need too much but that “can do” spirit in them has been dampened. You need a leader who would tell them look at me, I was born in this place; I grew up where you are; this is what I have become because I did it this way. I do that in my own community and I have seen the change and the difference it has made.

Education is key. Now, you have our kids sent overseas to study but by the time they are due back, if they do not get a job in Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or NNPC, they do not have the interest to come back here. Those are great talents we are missing. When I look at those little kids on the streets who are addicted to tramadol and all that, I see Olympic champions; I see the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Okocha and so on. They are in the street because the leadership has not given them good direction. Are you aware that Anambra did not send any contingent to National Sports Festival? That was because they could not fund it. So, where do you develop those sports talents? Look, if somebody would want to trek through the desert in his desire to get to Spain for better life, if he sees a better opportunity, he would be more productive. These are people who are determined to succeed. Give them the right environment, they would not go out. The apprenticeship system has collapsed. Most big names from Anambra you see were, at one time or another, in Onitsha main market. I grew up in Onitsha main market, going to assist my father in business. It was a place to learn the nitty-gritty of doing business. Today, the deteriorating nature of that place makes me sad. I have instituted a research at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University for the study of Igbo Apprenticeship Scheme. That is the biggest venture capital in the whole world where you do not have to be the son of a millionaire to be a billionaire. All you need to know is to be of good behavior.

We have programmes that would take Anambra many notches high. It is because of government’s failure in Anambra that our people are running across the Niger to develop Asaba. If previous Anambra governments did well, businessmen in Onitsha, who have gone to Asaba to live, would be in our state. Thirty years after, Anambra is in bad shape. Most states created with it have gone far ahead. We would change the narrative if elected to office.

You have among the 10-point agenda something on diaspora. What is it about?

The Diaspora population in Anambra is very active. Do you know that in last year records, the Diaspora transmission was more than the revenue from oil and 60 per cent of it could be from Anambra State? With a well planned relationship, we will channel all that to that place. That is why we are planning to have a special Ministry for Diaspora Affairs. We need to engage our people wherever they are. Those people who are in China, we do not have to ask them to come back. We will encourage them to set up things in Anambra. The world is a global village. I will just set up a liaison office in China and direct them.

What is your plan for the local government areas?

We believe that governance should be from bottom up. The local government system is very critical. Most of the developments we knew growing up were done through the community. Today, communities in Anambra still build tarred roads. They still build schools and handover to governments. I built one in my own community, but I did not handover to the government so that it would not be mismanaged. I handed over to Catholic Reverend Sisters because I trust them more. They are managing it very well. When we come in, we are going to do local government elections as soon as the budget and time permit. We are not going to be counting on local government money to survive; we need to generate income.

You have chains of businesses and people see you as a very busy person. Also leading Anambra is a tough job. How are you going to manage your businesses and leading a strategic state like Anambra?

That is a good question, but also in that question, there is an answer because if I have been successful in managing businesses, that means I have been exposed to managing business at the highest levels. So, I would say that I am taking the experience of managing successful businesses into governance. This is because one of the gains we will have is for those with private sector experience coming into governance. Anambra people individually are very successful. Thank God that today as a good administrator and manager of people and resources, my businesses are set up in a way that they can run independently with or without me. I can go to Anambra for two or three weeks and my officers in the airline would not even call me. I only call when I want to ask what is happening. So, if you have not been able to set up a business of that nature, you cannot be competent to run a government. My businesses are structured to run on their own. That is the experience I am bringing into governance.

Ebitimi44:
Nigerian statistics is obviously questionable but I don't think there is any challenge to the Ijaws on the position as the third largest Ethnicity in Southern Nigeria.

Many people cite not seeing much of Ijaw presence in other cities as a means of arguing that Ijaws are less populated, this assertion however is a complete fallacy as Ijaw is undeniably populous.

I will be backing up my claims with facts and common sense. You will not see Ijaws in major cities becuase of the traditional occupation of the Ijaws which is fishing and in places where we abound it is usually a cluster.

Ijaws are more likely to to be found in coastal areas and as such the Niger Delta interior had always been our native land.

Fact One: Bayelsa state is a predominately Ijaw State is over 2.5 Million while 2006 census puts it at 1.7 million I hope you know that despite the inaccuracy of Nigerian census we also grow.

2. Ijaws constitute the coastal areas of Rivers state which constitutes about 39% of Rivers putting Rivers state at approximately 6 million today that puts Ijaws in Rivers at over 2 million.

3. The Ijaws in Delta State: the population of Delta state shall be running at about another 6 million, let's say the Ijaws Chuns out another 2 million people over there.

This 3 states alone could arguably put Ijaws at about 6.5 million in just 3 states, tell me another tribe in Nigeria apart from Igbo, Hausa, Fulani and Yoruba coming anywhere close to the above verifiable data.

Then add the Ijaws in Edo State, with Ondo, with Lagos, there is no verifiable data in these Areas as these states especially Lagos and Ondo are trying too hard to Yorubanize the Ijaws in these areas.

Should a realistic census be conducted in Nigeria indicating tribes the Ijaws could be well over 17 million.

Why do you think the Ijaws inflate our population, when last did we hold crucial role in the census bureau, Goodluck Jonathan was not the president at 2006 when the last census was held rather it was the Ijaw hating Obasanjo so how could we have manipulated our data, be that as it may, there is also no proof of everyone else's actual population so Ijaws knows exactly how our population is distributed.
.

Bros all these are fallacy the population of ijaws in Nigeria is no more than 3million.
I have been to Bayelsa and worked in all books and cranies of Bayelsa. Bros all those swamps are empty.
All the water ways are empty.
Even the population put at 1.2 million in the last census is over exaggeration.
Tell me where in Bayelsa of the eight local govt where U have large concentration of people .
No where.
In the last Gorvernorship election total Registered voters were put at 500,000. I am not saying this is a yardsty. Even at that, the registered voters are vague. These are political registration. The total vote cast was not upto 120,000.
Now come to rivers state we have how many local govt that are ijaws. Okrika, kalabari constitute only 4 or 5 lga. Mind U Opobo nkoro,Borny, Andoni lumped up together are not ijaws.
Now in Delta they have only two LGA now what is the population of 8 Lga in Bayelsa core ijaw gives U Less than 2 million according to census data that was over inflated.
Total ijaw is no more than 2.2 million at best in Nigeria.
Now come to rivers state who are the ijaws

A Nigerian Lady Identified as Elohor Okudu narrates how her husband has refused to help her own family members after paying almost N580k bride Price.

The story was shared by a twitter user identified as @SmartAtuadi, the lady is seeking professional advice as the issue bothers her.

She Wrote: “I got married 8months ago, my hubby earns 70k monthly while I am yet to get a job, during our wedding ceremony, hubby spent about 580k on the list given to him for the traditional wedding, I persuaded my parents to reduce the list but they said it is a must and a tradition.”

“He was able to raise the money as I wasnt working and I couldn’t help financially. After marriage I suggested that he should be sending something monthly to my parents as he does send to his parents too, but to my surprise the reply he gave me was that he didn’t owe my parents anything that they have collected all they are entitled to fromHelpNigerianally I was not angry about that until my younger brother wanted to get married and his bride family gave him list of things for the traditional wedding which amounted to 400k.”

“My dad then shared the expenses and told my husband to contribute 120k towards my brother’s wedding but to my surprise, my husband said no and told me that my family has collected all they wanted during our wedding and they shouldn’t come to him for any financial assistance, this got me angry and I told him that he is not responsible.”

“Ever since then we have been living like strangers in the house, he doesn’t talk to me, he has just been keeping to himself, and I have never seen him this way before not even in our 2 years of courting.

“Please our mummies and daddies, kindly advise me on what to do to save the situation, I am in between my husband and my family”.

RomanceRe: The Words "I Love You". Don't Say It If You Don't Mean It. by ekesol: 7:51pm On May 04, 2021
CianaJoy:
Sometimes ago, one of my social media pages, I made a sample post "How will you feel if someone says the words I LOVE YOU to you" to determine what matters more to people between the words and the personality behind the words. The responses I got showed that although the words matters and can have effect, the personality behind the words matters more. This has always being my believe.

An undeniable fact is that words are powerful and can mar or make an individual. But more powerful is the person behind the word. Take for instance, your boss at work tells you that you're dumb and lazy. You feel bad. Then, you told your partner about it, and he or she confirms it again and tells you the same thing. You will feel more hurt that your partner calls you dumb and lazy because you hold your partner in high esteem than your boss. Your partner's words will have more effect on you than that of your boss at work.

In essence, it is factual to conclude that "the person behind a word will determine how much effect the word will have on you"

As individuals, it is pertinent to note that we have to be careful with our words. It is lack of wisdom to throw words casually. Never say something you don't mean. Never reduce someone's self-worth with your careless usage of words too. Say words that encourage, inspire, and edify.

Also, your whole personality can be measured with the words of your mouth. If you've spoken some words in the past that you weren't sincere and committed with, overtime, your words will stop carrying any weight or impact.. For instance, you've been telling someone you love him/her and there was no corresponding actions to back up your words; overtime, whenever you say such words again, it will lose credibility and would therefore have no effect on the person anymore. "Integrity start from you being able to stay loyal and committed to the words that comes out of your mouth". When you say something, live up to it!

Always remember, although words are powerful, the extent of the effect of the words depend largely on the person behind the words.

Happy new month fam..

Here is my counsel for you this month,

IF YOU DON'T MEAN IT, DON'T SAY IT. IF IT WILL HURT, DON'T SAY IT. YOU ARE AS POWERFUL AS THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH"

And he told me that he and his wife bought a land somewhere and they went there for inspection. It was after visiting the land that his hand started swelling up.”
“He said he had visited surgeons both in UCH and in UNILAG, but they were yet to give him a date when the hand will be operated upon. Meanwhile, somebody introduced a magnetherapist to Odumakin in Ijebu- Ode. So, he went there and had to be in that place for about three months. I will still go there to visit him and give him money.”
“Somehow, he returned from that place, but the hand did not heal up. He came to my house. About two hours after he came, that arm broke apart, blood was gushing out in large quantity. The blood that came out of Odumakin that day was more than a gallon. My steward Segun was there and he is still with me today to corroborate my claim. If not for Segun’s courage that night, it was going to be difficult for me in that house. The bloodstain was just so much.”
“Even Odumakin himself had been totally soaked in his own blood. With God’s help, we managed to contain the situation that day because with the amount of blood he lost, what would I have said if he had died at my place?”
“A week after, his wife Joe Okei-Odumakin called me that that hand had started issuing out odour and that it was becoming problematic in their home. She also told me that the magnetherapist in Ijebu-Ode had recommended that if they could visit India, perhaps the unorthodox practitioners might be able to do something about it.”
“Then I was still in Obanikoro and there was no mobile telephone like we have now. I had to send this gentleman here, Comrade Popoola Ajayi to go to Odumakin’s place and give him a letter because immediately after my discussion with the wife, I called then Governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and discussed the whole issue with him. He then told me that if that was what I wanted to take care of Odumakin’s hand, I should ask him to write a letter to that effect in request. So, Popoola took the letter to his house.”
“Now, the wife wrote the request letter and went to the governor’s office but they won’t allow her to see the governor. So, when she called me from the governor’s office, I had to talk to the ADC that I have already spoken to Tinubu over the matter, so she should be allowed in. And that was exactly what they did. You can also confirm from the wife if I lied on this.”
“Immediately, she came in, Governor Tinubu invited his Commissioner for Health and his Commissioner for Finance to go and do whatever they had to do in order to get both Odumakin and his wife visa and other necessary things needed for them to visit India.”
“I was told by the magnetherapist that they will nothing less than N2million for the whole treatment. And that was exactly what Governor Tinubu did and Odumakin travelled a week thereafter. He was the one who told me his experience in India that out of the five doctors, it was only one that said let them open the hand first.”
“The other doctors were asking the wife to sign that they will need to amputate the hand. But one of them insisted that they should first of all open the hand, perhaps maybe not all the two bones had been affected.”
“Fortunately for him, only one of the bones had been affected and the surgery was successfully carried out and the hand was not amputated. That is why till today, he cannot stretch the hand. But what do we see today? There are no evil things Odumakin cannot say about Tinubu and Opadokun. Let his conscience be the judge as he is reading this. Do we deserve such from such a man? That is to show how ungrateful and mercenary that young man is.”
.

So because u assisted him to provide medical coverage he should support Mr Tinubu the destroyer of his country?
Tinubu looted Lagos state dry yet could not provide same standard of hospital he sent odumakin to visit in India.
Tinubu should have built world class hospital like that of India so that ordinary man could have benefitted from it.
If Thief tinubu had built that standard of hospital may be Odumakin would be alive today. Odumakin not supporting tinubu means he is a man that does not support impunity. He wanted the best for Ordinary Nigerians that was why he left the fold of APC and consistently advocated for a restructured Nigeria so that his children didn't have to know Another Tinubu to get a standard medicare.
He wanted the best for Yoruba Nation.
He never wanted to asslick the likes of Tinubu , elrufai, Buhari to get basic medical health.
May his soul Rest in Peace Amen
The Fighter of a Restructured Nigeria.

Vaughanlanrewaj:
Our founding fathers did not concede to the union at gunpoint and they knew that their strength is in having a big, strong and united nation.

Any review of the union will not be at the whims of the likes of intemperate and blood thirsty state actors like IPOB leader and the one insulting and threatening Kabiyesis in the SW. If not, once our unity is dissolved , more countries will still emerge from the initial sub divisions and they will be led by blood thirsty intemperate vicious state actors.
FG must prevent this calamity from happening to save millions of lives. Just imagine a country led by the likes of the current insurrectionists and imagine how Delta State has remained underachieving despite 4 incredible stages of division transitions from Western region to Mid-west to Bendel and now Delta State yet despite years of petrol billion dollars, in Delta State, poverty and unemployment are still rife in the state and Delta State is still far from being an Eldorado.
God bless Nigeria.
.

If u like divide Delta state into 20 no matter what in as much as u continue to use the 1999 constitution it will always be a failure.
Best solution is to trash the Constitution and start afresh with modern realities. If not divide the enclave called Nigeria.
So that we can have our destiny in our hands not in the hands of the supporter of APC in Abuja called senators and mostly Aboki senators who do every thing possible to come together to jeopardize any attempt to pass any bill to move Nigeria forward.
We move.

No. Most of the good roads in Owerri and Imo are the ones built by Okorocha. The Mbakwe roads were under steady repairs and reasphalting by all his successors until Okorocha came and added so many more roads as well as expanding and maintaining those of Mbakwe. It us still the same roads that Uzodinma is rehabilitating not building new ones.[/quote]Useless people. These are one of the disciples of the looter okorocha.
Abagwaro you are included.
Okorocha shall pay for all the lootings he did in IMO state.
