Comercial bus operators are being shortchanged by the drivers, none remitance of money to the owners, the buses are mismanaged, over used, and yet the owners hardly get the money invested, most owners are looking for someone who can manage the buses for them and remit to them in the shortest possible time return on investment, so most have resolved to give out the buses,on lease purchase, even at that the buses given out dont bring the money.
After taking the bus on lease purchase the driver will remit for some few weeks and then story upon stories by then the drivers would have raked in some few thousand and would have overused the vehicle and dump it, to go look for the next victim.
Our company have experience in the management of commercial bus, we have qualified proffesionals who have driven commercial buses around the Lagos metropolis with vast knowledge of this lucrative business, honesty and integrity is our watchword.
When you come to us our team of specialist would advise you on the kind of bus to buy, before buying, we have on ground with you our technicians who will check the bus properly and make sure it is in ship shape, the bus would be serviced and all faulty parts would be replaced.
Our modus operandi is to get your account details and remit the agreed amount to your account every Friday, this is the same amount that is paid by normal drivers, but where we differ from them is the company takes responsibility for minor repairs which would take nothing from your normal weekly delivery.
The bus would start work by 5:30 am and close by 5:30 pm,unlike your regular danfo driver that work the bus from dawn to dusk, our drivers pass through rigorous screening process before they are employed and knowing the mentality of the normal danfo drivers we are able to curb any of their excesses.
Save yourself the agony of danfo drivers who care little or nothing, nor have your interest at heart contact us today and you would be glad you did.

Culture / Re: Mrs Dike An Igbo Citizen To Become The First Female OBA In Yoruba by ekitikan(m): 11:20am On Jan 04, 2014
Mayor_of_Lagos:

We dont yet know she is married to Iboman. It is assumed to be so by the op who thinks only Ibo have the Dike name anywhere in the world.

If it is ultimately revealed that she is married to Ibo and Dike is an Iboman then the op will be correct and indeed I will say congratulations to Ibo people for politically and culturally scoring one over the Yorubas.

Kings give off their daughters to strenghten alliance with other Kings and cultures. In this case Adesida was looking for an alliance with Ibos. For Ibos looking for homes and lands in SW to settle, Akure will be your surrogate home since a future crown head of that domain carry the Ibo gene. When eventually he becomes King Dike, Deji of Akure, you have a political windfall in Yorubaland. THIS IS ONLY ON ASSUMPTION THAT THIS DIKE IS IBO. grin

It is absolutely impossible for her children to become the Deji of akure, the said woman is on a regent (adele) the major reason why they picked a woman is because she can not become the Deji,so non of her igbo children can become the deji as she herself can not become the deji. The only woman that became an OBA in yorubaland was Luwo Gbedaji (i stand to be corrected) she is listed as one the people that ruled Ile-Ife.

Which footballers? are you talking about grassroot coaches that organise training tours or tournament for their clubs in europe, only for boys that their parents who ve gone aborrowing are left with no options than to advise their wards that "if you no get club,no return oh.you know say na borrow we borrow for you to travel oh".I dont think any pro player in the 9ja prem ligue wud "blow AWOL" (i stand to be corrected). Despite the fact that their salaries are not regular yet they know that things can only get better if they persevere,so our footballers no fit bhave lyk tht.

chyket: I think it's very artificial to eat our local African dishes with cutleries because the originators of the food never planned it that way.
Personally anywhere I am served with any swallow food,I usually eat it with my hands. I have noticed a trend though that most people prefer eating those dishes with their hands but they are so scared of what people will say,so as soon as I start using my hands, very many other people join me.

is there a food that is not swallowed? olodo rabata

As for yoruba muslims, you guys just don't get it. My brother is a xtian married to a yoruba muslim so are you then saying that her brothers

will slaughter their sister's kids for allah?
Exactly wat most non yorubas dont know, the yoruba person is first a yoruba man or woman (as the case may be) before seeign himself as a xtian or muslim.religion to a yoruba person is not wat would make him turn his back to his people, lailai, granted there are one or two cases like that but we would never hurt any of our peeps just because of petty thing like religious difference.but we wud hit back at anybody anytime even if he is of our religious believe if he or she threatens the harmony, peace and tranquility that we cherish most.because for a yoruba person alafia ni ogun oro,we beliv without peaceful coexistense wealth can neva be created.lyk i said earlier on we love peace and we pursue it vigorously, but,if you try us and we vex ur mama no go know you again sho gbo.

the yawning of a lion does not translate to cowardice, for those that are of the opinion that yorubas would because of religion not strike someone of another tribe that provoke him,pls have a rethink.the yorubaman has risen above such pettiness as most ppl who are not yorubas think.the article states that opc knws the sponsors of bh and that they( opc) would hit the sponsors hard.wether this is possible or not time will tell, pls knw that the yorubaman can and would react if pushed to the wall i repeat if pushed to the wall.we are peace loving people we do not react to everything, and i knw that for someone like baba faseun to make such comment, there is sometin coming up and he has heard sometin cos 'n kan ti agba won fi n je eko abe ewe lo wa' let the bh hit and then they would know that kijipa ki n se awo, yiya ekun bi ti ojo ko.ojo a pa ewe a pa egbo won,ara si pa bata ati oun ati jiwinjiwin eti e.a word is enuff even for the foolish, tue kelebe.nonsense penkelemess.

Politics / Re: FG To Regulate Conferment Of Chieftaincy Titles by ekitikan(m): 12:28pm On May 07, 2012
Sky Blue: THANK YOUUUU!!! FINALLY!!!! I have been wondering when this was going to get addressed. So how many ministers are we going to appoint and how much of the budget is going to be allocated to what I hope is a new ministry charged with these most arduos of tasks? It is a difficult and bold step but it is imperative and in the national interest.

Just last week I heard a five year old address his seven year old brother as "Chief", and I was like What the hell?!!?? Like, really, What the hell!! Can you imagine??!!!! What on earth is this world coming to?? Sure when I grabbed him by the hand and dared him to repeat what he just said and see if he wouldn't see red he said that is what they call his brother at home.

Now my question is this; did the parents go through the appropriate requirements and bodies before they started calling that little brat "Chief"? I checked, they didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked, and even decided to play ignorant. Since when did the title of "Junior" go out of fashion for these new 'too cool for school' generation of parents??

I also propose a task force and a corresponding ministry for the logistics of deploying this said force to areas they are desperatly needed (Some states go hear am pass and una know una self cheesy ).

See my vision, I am talking with friends and one of the doucebags throws around the C word flippantly to address somebody who has clearly not been vetted by the Agency for Chieftancy Ratification. I tell him the first time to mind his mouth before I do him bad tin. He drops the C word subsequently and I just vex and make that call, next thing I know it I am hearing helicopters (too many potholes in road it will take too long and not as cool), and I see men in black jump out like rambo to dish out prejudicial justice to the scumbag. This is the Nigeria of my dreams. Good to know the government is finally looking out for me. God bless Nigeria.

supremebeing09:

MAYBE YOU SHOULD ASK THE FOUNDER OF NAIRALAND TO DISABLE THE COLOUR 'RED' (DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE FONTS - I'M SURE YOU MEANT 'COLOUR'red colour?!)

BUT YES, IT DOES SUIT ME PERSONALLY (FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR COMPLAINT, I DECIDED TO REPLY IN BLACK!)

All I'm saying is, we can't let the issue of boko haram become one SINGLE national agenda. Never mind unemployment and the rest of it. The issue of boko haram will inevitably hamper the economic growth and development of a rapidly-growing country. The issue of growth and development is another agenda.

Boko haram and its activities will continue to stifle the socio-political stability of the nation. This obviously affects growth and development. You need to know that there are different responsibilities of government and the governance of a state (nation). Unfortunately, considering our backwardness (shame we have not blown up like Japan or other Asian countries), we cannot seem to address the boko haram issue. Obviously, boko haram continues to work against the state. In this case, the citizens are in the middle of the whole saga. It's only a shame that the citizens are continuously sacrificed by boko haram as a means of communicating with its enemy - the government. Unfortunately, the government cannot use its citizens against such enemy. Therefore, it is an obligation for the government to protect its citizens against such attacks. But the government is not doing so at the moment. Unfortunately, the ball is in boko haram's court. AND WILL BE FOR A LONG TIME. LET'S NOT FORGET CIVIL WARS THAT HAVE LASTED FOR DECADES!!! SLOWLY... SLOWLY...

Secondly, if the government is deemed incompetent at defending its citizens (as is the case),the citizens are in their own rights to defend themselves. But we need not defend ourselves against boko haram - trust me, we'll be blown to smithereens sad sad We need to hold the government accountable for its actions against its citizens. It's a shame we cannot seem to do that. We've become a nation of uncertainties that surviving from day-to-day seems to be a miracle. The North is going to shreds. There is no knowing what every second brings for every individual in the North. The Kano bombing highlights such example. And it will not stop. Like I said, THE SAGA CONTINUES.

The president (God knows what's going on in his head day and night) should, in the interest of the nation, strengthen the security of the country. What good is a country if the security is flawed? Economic growth and development, social and ethical developments, sustainability and society at large continue to be stifled if a fortress is ill-secured. There is, most importantly - I mentioned in my earlier post-, a need to improve intelligence and security in the nation. This should be on a nation-wide scale but with more emphasis on the North. Such implementations would enable the state and its security apprehend the scale of the the nation's insecurity. Rather, everything is done helter-skelter and on a hope-and-pray basis.

Due to the unfortunate effects of power and politicking, the government is more focused on the internal effects of such issues rather than the external effects of the social, political implications of such issues on the citizens. Thus, we have a lot to do on the list. The layer(s) of government in Nigeria will continue to constrain certain benefits of economic growth and development. As I write, the boko haram bombing just came up on BBC news (not very soothing with the breaking news' nerve-wrecking music!). How many more of such news should we expect? Doesn't paint a nice picture of a developing country. WE ARE MORE THAN DEVELOPING. WE ARE CAPABLE. CAPABLE OF DEVELOPING TO A GREAT EXTENT!

I am no expert at political agendas but I like to contribute to issues surrounding my beloved nation. If I didn't give a s***, I'd be on a very much more random website than NairaLand. Obviously, your opinions are always appreciated.

it is not proper for you to stay more than temporarily, today you are sweet with the old boy (your fada inlaw) pls remember things can change......nuffing as constant as change.....
take the offer but for your sake and posterity, make it as short as possible.there is a proverb in yoruba land for someone that lives in his inlaws house"a ji sanmi,o sun latan fi aso werepe bo ra" (few yorubas can actually decipher this proverb, but i will interprete). he is likened to a man that sleeps on a dung heap and eats faeces as his breakfast(constantly) and he covers himself with a blanket that itch him continously. in yoruba land if such a man dies in that house his relations would not take his dead body through the door, rather he would be passed through the window and his corpse or rather carcass would be buried in tbe dung heap. our tradition frowns at such.....the black man is different from the european.
