Jaakeford: Hello my good people. Please I need your help in preparing for a UK visit visa. My dream is to go to the UK to watch a football match and stay for about a week. The issue is that, even though I currently have up 4 million naira in my account, I don't have an official job. I invest in used cars and and sell for profit. I don't mind if I have to prepare my account for 2-3 months before applying. I just need your help and advise. Also I don't feel like I have a strong tie in Nigeria. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, God bless. You will need to tidy up your used car business. Register it and operate it for the next one year. Then your reason for travelling will not fly as you can watch the match on TV. Many sport fans how get UK visa to just go and watch premiership have solid financial and home ties with good travel history. |

okemoney14: Please I need some info about the supporting documents to present for UK visit Visa. I got an invitation letter from my cousin and she’s sponsoring the whole expenses but I have close to 1.5M in my treasury bill, close to 100k in my savings account and I earn 69k monthly as a corps member. Please I need a guidance on the supporting documents to present and also ask whether I can add treasury bill amount as part of my savings when filling the form online because it will mature in November and am to travel in December. Please I need your responses ASAP. Thanks If you care to read backward, many have listed the documents they submitted with or without sponsorship. Sure you can add the TB, provided you can explain, as a corp member, with a salary of 69K, how you saved to buy TB of 1.5M. |

bimbyabim: Good Evening house, this is my first time on Uk thread. I have gone thru several pages to see if any one has a refusal case similar to mine but didn’t see. I applied for Uk visa for my family sometime in Feb and my hubby being the sponsor. That wasn’t our first visa- we’ve had several Uk visas issued to us but we had a break (abt 8yrs)from visiting uk. Lo and behold for the flimsiest reason we were denied and slammed with No appeal and no administrative review. We however heard That we can ask for a review becos it was too obvious eco probably got things mixed up. Now my request: @ justwise @frontpagelawyer and all the gurus in house, what email ad can I sent my plea for review to. Thanks for your response. There is no option of administrative review for visitor visas. You are entitled to complain if you are disatified with the service, however, this will not change the decision. You will need to re apply and point out the mix up. Perhaps if you post the refusal, gurus here can help out. |

1. If the opening balance is unusual considering your sources of incomes, then you will need to explain why. 2. Round trip ticket 3. Only the ECO can determine that. Many with lower income or higher income have either been approved or refused. Although your income bracket will be consider, however it is not the sole determinant of a successful visa application. Other factors like social and homes ties are importants. 4. Get a tax clearance certificate if your payslips does not reflect tax deduction, or is irregular. You can also get a letter form your employee to support this. |

No. The tracking you displayed shows that your application has been received by UKVI. You need to exercise patience until a decision is made, typically within 15 days. |

Ndkings1: Gurus in the house, I really appreciate you for all the help you have rendered to us novices through your advices. I can only say, I God bless you all.
Now, I'm going to explain my situation without holding back any iota of truth in order not regret at last.
Earlier this year I met a guy based in London through my mum, we got chatting and we concluded that he's gonna send me invitations letter and other necessary documents on his part to come and stay with him in London for some time. Note: I have never seen him face to face
I work in a private school, where I earn 125k a month. Though the school pay tax but they don't deduct tax money from our salaries. they don't give payslips and sometimes, they us cash. The questions bothering me now and I need urgent answers for are ;
1.. Will my physical unfamiliarity with the person inviting me affect my application even though he's providing the accommodation and other documents?
2..I intend to create a payslip on my own for next six months. I intend to make it look like I'm paying tax for every salary I get by including some tax deductions which I'm not actually paying(I was told my payslip must show that I'm paying tax or else my application will be refused)... Please I need your undiluted advise on this one.
3..is my monthly salary of 125k enough for this application(I don't have another source of income for now)
4...my host says he's going to to send me hotel reservations - is this not gonna complicate issues for me since I'm going to stay in his house?
5...i currently have 1million in my account and I intend to use my salary for the next six months months to build it up to 1.6million or more starting from wit the salary for this month.. DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN THE SOURCE OF THE 1MILLION NAIRA OPENING BALANCE? these are my major dilemma and I need honest advice please. Thank you very much as I await your response. God bless...
@justwise @epotek Generating fake payslip will not work and you are likely to been banned for 1O years for submitting fake documents. Just be honest about your salary payment situation and hope for the best. Secondly honoring an invitation from someone you do not fully know or you have not physically met can be dangerous! |

ugolinze123: went to TLScontact VI today for collection and was denied. Reasons...the total credit and debit on my statement for the last 6months does not reflect the kind of business i presented to them. Total credit 5mil, total debit 4mil balance 2mil.
I have a fire safety equipment and security gadget company i sell to coperate organisations, hotels u name it and does installations too, am also a web developer working for some companies and government parastatals.
All this was clearly stated on the application with documents to prove
In conclusion, i think visa approval is not based on your documents but how the ECOs feels at that point in time, its just luck notin else, why am saying this, with all the reasons i see on this refusal letter it just tells you they dont just wanna give it to you so they come up with these excuses and continue ripping us of our hard earned funds, imagine you paying for just a call or email.
To all the hopefuls, do what you know is your best and leave the rest to God. Dont kill your self in the process or spend all you have, its just luck. Sorry for the refusal. Like you said, there are several factor involve, but all this factors relates to what you filled in your application form and the document you submitted. We can only offer advise if you share the refusal letter incase you wish to re apply. |

Can my flight ticket to the UK, itinerary in the uk and ireland, Statement of Account, land documents, employment details (leave letter, employment letter and payslips) For this fly. You will need to submit confirmed flight reservation Lagos-UK-Lagos. Then train, bus or flight ticket UK-Dublin-UK. Then submit detail itinerary of proposed activities in Ireland. Since the visa officer know that you will be arriving from the UK and returning back to UK, it make it easy to approved the visa. You will also have to disclosed any visa refusal and why in the application. |

Jawa: Hi Guys,
just to update the house. I applied for an Irish short stay visa to attend a training in Cork, Ireland for a week. below are documents submitted;
invitation letter from training company letter of introduction from employer personal self introduction letter including all required details (apparently this is very important but i am always very detailed with this letter) six months account statements of all bank accounts held even though employer is sponsoring (explain lump sums and show the money trail) return flight reservation accommodation reservation mortgage papers
its good to note that i have extensive travel history but this, i believe, did not play a big role as other colleagues have not traveled much. I wrote all our letters on intro myself in accordance with everyone's circumstance and please don't forget to include the declaration at the end of it that you must leave Ireland and state reasons in Nigeria that will bring you back home. also worthy to note that this training is directly in line with my job roles and responsibilities.
application timeline; submitted - 31-05-18 (a week after colleagues group application. I was away on another trip) received at Irish consulate - 04-06-18 temporarily withdrew passport - 07-06-18 (received 08-06-18) returned passport to embassy(with a prepaid return courier) - 04-07-18 tracked passport return courier envelope on 10-07-18 out of curiosity because my colleagues who applied earlier on 23-05-18 as a group received their visas on 09-07-18 and it had been passed on to courier received passport from UPS - 11-07-18
please always feel free to contact the embassy for anything. they are warm and always helpful. i needed my passport for another consulate visa that would take a month and i contacted the embassy who instructed i send my request to abujaembassy@dfa.ie and it was dispatched to me same day with instructions of how to return it and apparently since all applications are attended to in a chronological order, your application will still be in queue and no delays, at least in my case.
NB: please do photo copy all your documents before heading to VFS including all passport pages. best of luck guys. Congratulations. Enjoy your training. |
Politics › Re: Come Clean On US Immigration Status, VON DG Tells Atiku by ekpotek: 9:54am On Jul 23, 2018 |
DG VON is being mischievous here. If Atiku become president he will have automatic diplomatic immunity to visit any Nigerian embassy abroad which is technically a Nigerian territory. Beside any immigration issue that Atiku may have with USA will summarily be pardoned for diplomacy if it is in the best interest of the US government. Remember, the UK govt once kept Dr Umaru Dikko a former Minister in the second replubic who stole million of Naira and ran way to the UK under protective custody for 10 years, when Bihari wanted to bring him back to Nigeria. So if allowing Atiku to visit US will be in the best interest of the US government. Visa or no visa the US government will certainly invite him. |

OmoBendel24: That they have the record or not is not the real matter for me here. If he wasn't asked any question that requires him coming up with this, why go into such details unasked? Isn't there a reason they ask info covering the past 10 years specifically?
I for one never went close to the UK embassy (I was only rejected because the person that sent me the invitation - my uncle - sent same to several persons because we disturbed him for an invitation to his 70th birthday, he wanted to satisfy everybody and ended up satisfying non but my aunt, his sister - and that did cast a doubt on if there actually existed a relationship between myself and himself, I checked right on other grounds) for a specific reason as his case from 1999 till 2009, even with the other travel history I had gathered in between, I just needed time to pass, and I subsequently didn't have issues. I understand times have changed though.... Times has change indeed. With global terrorism and other incidents, the new UKVI visitor online application form does not have any time limit on pass refusals like the old form. The worst that can happen is to get refuse, but at least he would have straighten his record with UKVI for future application. That’s my take. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 2:06pm On Jul 19, 2018 |
OmoBendel24: The passport used in 2006 definitely couldn't have been the e-passport. So, if he uses the old passport and agrees to have had a previous passport and can't remember details, what happens? I still don't think he should talk of the age difference stuff sha, I can't clearly see the trouble this portends for him now if he doesn't talk of it expressly in this application. He should be silent on it instead of running himself into unnecessary wahala.... This isn't a question asked that you are now denying, if it wasn't asked, this type should be allowed to be. If the need arises to be asked, they will sure ask! UKVI keeps records of all visa applicants wether sucesssful or not, regardless of type of passport used. The visa questions are standard just to facilitate quick checks by ECO. This does not mean that the ECO are not obliged to carry out extensive background check. Why then does some applicant get a decision within 15 workings days and other get delayed for months. It will be fool hardy for the applicant to assumed that UKVI does not have his record especially when the residual was based on misformation and fake document. |

Khez: Please hear this, so I wish to apply for a 6months visit visa, I work with a salary of 100k, but my boss been paying me 60k since March due to economic downturns, now it has improved, he recently made a payment of the outstanding salaries amounting to 160k and it's a small company, so I don't have a pension account to print for this application, and oh sometimes he pays me with his main account and not the company account I think just once.
I also have a side small business ,I sell wears and shoes on jumia and also dress people up, help people go to the market and buy clothes, which I am been paid for, which explains the other monies that enters my account apart from salary, I have jumia's vendor ID card to support as jumias deposits reflects in my statements and also has a page on IG where I sell too. Which makes my mothly income to 150k 200k sometimes.
Now I learnt here I don't have to spend moredan 4times my salary in a trip , and my brother inlaw is taking up my flight and hotel fee for the five days I intend to spend in the uk, pls what documents do I need to present on my part and his. And would you advice he sponsors or I let him out, I have inflow and outflow, eventho most times I transfer from my fidelity to the main account I intend to use gbt and my closing will be 2m or 1.5 as people are oweing me a lot.. Sorry for the long talks, thanks again What is the purpose of your visit for 5 days? |

My question now is if the visa was issued, will it be cancelled because of my withdrawal?? If the visa has been issued the withdrawal notice will be ignored as the visa cannot be cancel. If not you get your passport back without any refund. |

agbedex: Thanks for your response. Do you also agree that after stating that I was denied a visa in 2006, I should also state the incorrect age on the passport that I got the denial stamp? I can't remember the passport number. The only way to proof your actually age is having a birth certificate or declaration of age document. You do not need to remember the passport number just supply as much information as you can remember. Yes you need to mention that you were misleaded about your age information as you had used an agent at that time. |

agbedex: Dear All,
Should I kiss UK goodbye?
I was denied a student visa in 2006. The guy that helped me to process my visa told me to increase my age when I wanted to acquire my first international passport. In spite of this, I was still denied the visa..."every unrighteousness is a sin". I have never blamed this guy, and will never blame him. I will take all the blames. I have not applied to the UK embassy for any visa since then. My friend that did same got banned for 10 years. He denied ever applied to the embassy for visa not knowing that they kept his details in their system. As at that time, there was nothing like biometrics. I have gotten two different passports after that time with my correct age and I have 4 used and 1 unused visas from other countries. I have been invited to the UK several times, but the fear of being banned won't let me apply. Now, I want to apply for a visiting visa, and I want to write a statement that I was denied a student visa in 2006 with an incorrect age (the passport is long missing). Would I still be banned for 10 years? Should I just forget about visiting UK? What is the appropriate thing to do? Your previous application data and passport data are kept with UKVI forever! You have two hurdles to overcome. One your misrepresentation of your age and two your previous passport containing the refusal stamp. If you used the old application form, you may not disclosed your refusal of 2006 as it is over 12 years in 2018. If you used the new application form you are required to disclosed any previous refusals, no time limit. You are also required to provide information on all passport previously held, ie the passport number, date of issue and expiration. So if you provide false information like the passport is missing or you do not have any previous passport will be equated to non disclosure of material evidences or lying. The UKVI only need to do a name search and your previous passport data will pop up on the system. So I will advise that you bring all your cards to the table and disclose to ECO that you where refused in 2006 in a cover letter. It is left for the ECO to evaluate your honesty vis a vis your new purpose for a visa into the UK. |

I am the sole proprietor, i make all the decisions regarding the day to day running of the business including the finances. I got a reference letter from my bank informing them that I am the sole signatory to the account I presented. what could have gone wrong. is it that my documents were not properly scrutinized It is still a business account and the ECO has clearly stated that it cannot be used for a private vacation. So you need to come up with convincing reasons why you want to draw fund from your business account. You could explain to the ECO that you also used this account for personal expenses and support it with documents. |

Also see attached my refusal letter and visa application i filled. I own and manage a registered firm of estate surveyors and valuers (Registered with CAC as a Business Name as part of the rules governing our body. i look forward hearing from my good people in the house. This is a clear case of using an applicant using a business account to fund a private trip. UKIV does not permit this. If you want to reapply, you will need to provide documentation that you have access to the business account as a sole signatory from your bank. And also if the company have directors list in CAC, then you must provide document by the other directors authorizing you to using their company fund. Alternatively build up your private bank account and use that in subsequent application. |
