1. I don't understand what the ECO meant by saying your salary is transferred into your gtbank saving account. Salary is not by cash but transfer from my employers company's account to my savings account... is it a crime ?

2. No regular withdrawals- on this account within 6 months I have 179 debits and 15credits... the 9 other credits on my salary savings account is not up to 50K.. it's just mere refunds

3. 160 unspecified currency- this is the money I personally spend and give my siblings... on my personal letter I specified that 160ponds.

4. I have a business I run... I have the CAC docs and tax... I make an average of 50K per month... the 5deposits are for clients I have orders from. They pay into my biz account and I run their transactions from there... I used it in purchasing goods... I didnt even stated that I'm using my business account for my trip... I have enough balance in my saving account about 2m and 600K on biz account.

Travel history - North Africa, South Africa, East Africa and Middle East...

Please where did I get it wrong. I want to reapply and fill forms today.

Sorry for the refusal. Me think this refusal is a typical an example where the ECO is confused and unable to determine your financial ties. Basically, the ECO was worried that you earn over 400K per month. This income level is good for a visa visa. Why then did you have to complicate issue by adding a side business of N50K per month that does not significantly change your financial ties. This give an impression either you do not take your employment seriously permitting you to run a business. When ECO talk of no regular withdrawal, it meant that the ECO did not see withdrawal after salary payment each month to meet monthly expenses. In short the ECO is not clear how you are spending your salary including giving out £160 to family member. To re apply you will to explain thoroughly how you save over N2M within 6 months in line with your monthly income and expenses. This must be supported by documents. These are my thoughts.

Utility bill is necessary only when you residing on own property.

Birth certificate is necessary to proof your age

Use prime time if you can afford it.

Why not send them an email and explain the why you need your passport. They could return the passport why still processing your application. To me this should be the first approach before withdrawing the application.

Sorry your brother was denied because he did not show any financial ties. Since your brother is a student and depends on someone for his education. He should have also submitted his bank statement showing inflow of funds to support his study and up keep.

SOS!!! Justwise, ekpotek and all good people here. My course provider canceled when am just a few days to travel, due to insufficient number for training. I got another institute for same course and date but a different city. Its 45mins train from first location. Please how do I handle the landing card with this new development. I had booked hotel close to first location.

No need to panic. Carry every documents concerning the cancelation and the new course. The important information needed on the landing card is contact address in the UK. You can booked a hotel near the new venue and use the information as your contact address in the UK.

They should if you insist. There is a hotel within the transit hall. It doesn’t matter if is a promo ticket or not. Show them your boarding pass at Istanbul Airport and insist of been lodged in an hotel as your transit time is more than 8 hours.

She can submit both tax certificates if she has them. The most important thing is to have a strong home tie to convince the ECO. This will be providing convincing evidences that her business is very attractive to make her to return back to Nigeria.

Yes oh. Add as many pictures that you have to demonstrate relationship. Address you cover letter to either High Commissioner, Abuja or Deputy High Commisioner, Lagos. The full address is on British High Commision, Nigeria website.

Good day nairalanderz, pls I will appreciate a reply to this post. I had my biometrics on June 21st 2018 for UK standard visit visa. I got a mail on 30th of June from UKVI that my passport has been received. On the 10th of July I got a mail that the processing of my application has not been straight forward thus unable to decide within 15working days. I sent a mail on 19th of July to make an enquiry as why my application is taking longer than usual. Got a reply on 20th of July that my case has been escalated and would get a reply within 15 working days which ll lapse on 10th August 2018. Up until now I haven't gotten a mail. Pls what do I do. Has anyone gone through this before.. What is the way out... Am getting tired of waiting. Note I had my biometrics at TLS Ikeja Office

There is nothing like a fiance visa. It is the standard visitor visa you will apply for. Unless if you’re traveling to marry your boyfriend, then apply for marriage visitor visa.

Not necessary if you’re transiting just within the airport. However, I would advise that you get a yellow card, if you intend to enter Addis Ababa city to spend your transit time. The Port Health official may or may not demand for it. And if you don’t have a Yellow card, you have to spend your transit time in the Departure hall.

Take time and read back. There are list of documents for standard visitor visa with or without sponsorship. Your boyfriend will need to send you his passport data page, 6 month bank statement, evidence of suitable accommodation, if you will be staying with him, an invitation letter etc. On your part, you will submit your bank statements, business registration, and documents to support any information you filled in the online form.

I have an interview on Monday at the VI office and i have been denied a uk visa 7 years ago and a german visa last year. I got an invitation from a friend who is taking care of my accommodation and feeding as stated in the letter to the embassy. I earn 153k Plus after tax and have a treasury bill of 500k which and a pension account of 1m+ , letter of employment , tenancy agreement, car ownership and receipt of car which i plan to use to back up my ties in Nigeria as i'm single . Lol . Please what do you guys think of my possibility of getting the visa. I stated that i plan to spend 780 pounds for this trip including flight and ticket for a 10 days trip. Please kindly advise me on the likely questions to prep myself with just incase they decide to do an interview. Please i will appreciate any useful advise that will help me on monday. Thank you

Since you have already submitted online. There is really nothing one can do in terms of your expenses profile for the trip. Also note that there is no interview. You are only require to bring all your supporting documents and passport for scanning to UKVI.

UKVI specifically state that you should not buy air ticket until you get your visa. I suggest that you rescheduled your travel date and rebook you ticket immediately or be prepare to pay for no show fine and cost of rebooking if you eventually get your visa to travel.

One of the 4 is the MD of the company. Where and How do we indicate that we are GROUP and we want to submit the application same time. Note that the company is the sponsor of the trip. Thanks

There is a question - Are you are traveling with someone else. Here you can list the other applicants in the group. However, many uses this options for family applications. So you do not need to add other applicants if they are not members of your family. Group appointment and submission are made on TLS website. All you need to do is to give your application reference number GWFxxx to group leader to register you on TLS website and book for group submission.

Also I used only my corporate account for my sa visa and it was successful. I just added a bank reference letter saying I was sole signatory. Can I not do the same thing in this case?

Yes it is possible to move some funds from your business account to your personal account for the trip. However, if the company is a limited liability company, you will need the consent of the board of Directors to justify it. My suggestion would be that you submit both your business and personal accounts as it is. Get a letter of consent from the board authorizing you to use the company funds for your vacation.

SA visa is not hard to get. UK visa is not easy oh, even the Russian owner of Chelsea football club had problem recently getting a UK visa!

Sometimes it is not unusual if the sponsor is not interviewed. If your application is straight forward the ECO may decide not call your sponsor. However, you will only know the outcome when you get your passport back.

Yes you would have to explain any unusual deposit into your personal account that not consistent with your account inflow.

Now my fear is will this affect renewing my UK visa as it already expired but I never overstayed.

Be honest with your refusal and you will be fine. If you have not breached any immigration laws in the UK, then you have nothing to fear. You application will be assessed using your present circumstances.

You are likely to get refuse, if you rely only on corporate bank account. Unless you can proof with documents that your trip is business related. The purpose of visit is pleasure so you need to use your personal account for the trip!

Note you can only use this visa to travel to UK and get married. You cannot stay back in the UK with a marriage visitor visa. You will still need to leave the UK and return to Nigeria to apply for spouse visa to live in the UK with your partner. My advise is that you do the marriage here in Nigeria and then apply for spouse visa.

It is difficult for me to help if you do not have a purpose for travelling. Because the document you will require for the visa application will depend on the purpose of the trip.
