tbh I'm not quite sure I'd die for yankee, let alone naija...strong possibility that I'd decline. I'd be willing to give my time and money to both though, especially the former.

Yes. Or at least, they are correlated. In general, being good at English/Math/etc is positively correlated with intelligence.

The basic conclusion I've come to from all of this is that Ray J is a lame-azz dude.

Sports / Two Interesting NBA Prospects Of Nigerian Descent This Year by ektbear: 5:40am On Apr 07, 2013
The first is Victor Oladipo, a 6'5 shooting guard playing at Indiana. He actually grew up in Maryland though, not too far from me.

Here is a video on him:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgWJGiJJAwk

He is basically a ridiculously good athlete.

The second is Giannis Adetokunbo, evidently some freak 6'10 point guard who grew up in Greece. Video on him:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km632hL-XCo

Both are projected to be first round picks this year.

I hope that Nigeria reaches out to these two talents...if we fully utilize our resources we can beat anyone in the world at this game, in my opinion (including the US).

This is another legacy of black folk being behind in the world I guess.

If we'd been the ones discovering the new world, colonizing Europe etc, then there'd be white people in large #s in Europe worshipping mixed race women grin

Unfortunate stuff.

But I guess nothing can be done about it

Romance / Married Women/women With Boyfriends At The Club by ektbear: 10:23am On Apr 05, 2013
So, two incidents tonight:

1) I'm dancing with some girl all night. At the end of the night I'm asking for her digits, she shows me a wedding ring. I'm thinking to myself, why the Bleep is a married woman at the club grinding on me?

2) My buddy walks up to this girl and starts dancing with her. She eventually stops and says, "my boyfriend is here so i can't dance." And it turns out that her boyfriend is right there behind her.

My question is, why do women do trifling sh1t like this?

If you are MARRIED or bring your boyfriend to a club, don't be grinding on other dudes!

This is basic courtesy and respect, is it not?
Culture / Re: How Far Back Can You Trace Your Ancestry? by ektbear: 3:51am On Apr 05, 2013
Wetin be "twisted with the sins of it's fathers?"

OK, let us grant your assumption that those whose ancestors were involved in slave-raiding are also guilty (though then it seems fair for me to call you a r@pist and p3dophile and murderer, since there is bound to be someone in your ancestry who committed r@pe/p3dophilia/murder).

What about the vast majority of us in Africa who have no such ancestors?

Anyway, you are free to come to whatever conclusions you like. But the opinions of a brainless fellow who also knows nothing about the people he is judging are worth less than the toilet paper I use to wipe my @ss with.

coogar:

if you don't have enough money or a steady stream of income that can give you a mirror image of what you currently enjoy then never go to nigeria. people would build castles in the air for you with their mouths but they are all lying. only 1% of the population are actually living, the others are only existing!

home is where you make it - i dunno how people get home sick. i love nigeria but i don't miss it to the point of thinking about relocation. the time is not right at all so stay put until you can afford a nice house in a well-secured area....if you are married to my sister and you relocate her to nigeria and something terrible happens to her, i would kill you!

+100

Stay in South Africa unless you have a job/income already waiting for you in Nigeria.

naijababe: I hate the Lannisters but love Tyrion. Is that a bad thing?

Tbh I like the Lannisters more than the Starks.

Goddamn Starks are all goody-two-shoes! Always trying to do the right thing, minimal family drama.

Lannisters on the other hand are basically a broken family...and thus more interesting grin cheesy

Foreign Affairs / Re: If US Should Fight NORTH KOREA, The US Will Lose!! by ektbear: 4:58am On Apr 03, 2013
North Korea cannot nuke Seoul. The distance from Seoul to NK is very small...radiation will leak back across the border.

The leaders of NK are human beings, and thus unlikely to be interested in suicide. Most of this is bluffing/posturing by the NK side.

(Same with the US side imo, we can't invade or really fight NK without putting our SK allies at risk)

NeoTesla: A 5x3 matrix cannot possibly have an inverse. All non-square matrices do not have inverses.

Correct.

BTW, for multiplication, one matrix would have to be 5x3 while the other has to be 3x5.
Almost correct. 5x3 against 3 x N for any positive integer N works.
