He he is yet to bring Young? |
chrisley024:I am not watching the match. The selection and substitution alone tell me we should struggle. Schneirderlin should play instead of Carrick. Mensah should have partnered Smalling while Rojo play left back. Who will bring the inspiration when Martial is out? |
Why is Jackson going in instead of Mensah? |
chrisley024:Good bye to top four. |
Bassee:Jonathan did not always budget 18 billion for roads. It was only last year he budgeted that little amount due to austerity measures. |
Pidggin:Buhari did not mention GEJ. I think he was trying to give Nigerians hope by telling this year's budget for roads is far higher than that of last year. He didn't mention GEJ. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Benin Ore road was not constructed last year. President Buhari is comparing this year's budget with that of last year. |
Daminaj1:Which of them is rukky? Left or middle? |
Kagawa10:I can't remember vividly what happened in the match but I just showed you why Rojo rated higher. Rojo beat Martial in attacking stat. Can't you see that? Rojo also heavily beat Martial in defensive stat. One of the two should offset the pass accuracy. You are trying to find a reason to discredit whoscored rating, I have told you it's the most objective rating because no rating is perfect. It's a good guide but not a perfect guide. You like to argue and argue and argue even when you are obviously wrong. |
Kagawa10: Apart from Martial's Assist, he had low stats: Martial 0 Dribble 0 shot 1 key pass Dispossessed 6 times 2 unsuccessful touch Rojo 1 Dribble 0 shot 1 key pass Dispossessed 0 time 1 unsuccessful touch NB: I have not added defensive stats. Kagawa10, you are a kindergarten analyst. |
Kagawa10:Scholes started only 8 matches. We lost two of those matches. We won 28 matches that season, and Scholes only started 6 of them. So your story up there is lies, rubbish and nonsense. Secondly, it is obvious you don't know what it means to create a chance. I showed you a chart of chances created yet you still argue. Thirdly, Rooney's best form was the second half of the season. I think between January and April where he scored almost all his goals and got his Assists. Lastly, Rooney was only dropped in one match. That was tactical, and also because Rooney protected playing in the wing in the first leg. In another match after the league had been won, he took permision. |
Kagawa10:Take a look at whoscored players ranking for the last four seasons and tell me if they are far from the truth. This is just first 10 players in the first page. Their are 300 pages capturing the final ranking of all players in a league based on accumulation of their weekly matches ratings.

Kagawa10, Don't make it look like Paul Scholes was creating chances from midfield. He dictated play from midfield. In chances created chart that season, both long and short, he is no where to be find. Rooney's chances created from short passes was the best when taken to minutes per chance created. Young created the best time per chance from long passes. Paul Scholes was a great midfield, with ability to dictate a game from the middle of the park. But to assume he was creating chances from there is a fallacy. Good night.
|
Kagawa10:Lies!!! Paul Scholes had only one Assist that season, 2012/2013. Rooney top our Assist. |
Kagawa10:Why you dey talk like Olodo? Did you not read that their are over 200 events used in rating? And that where these events take place on the pitch and the outcome determines the marks awarded? Pass accuracy will carry different weights. For instance: Assist might earn a player 0.5 A key pass into the box 0.3 A key pass to a shot from outside the box 0.2 Similarly, a Successful Dribble in a players own half will earn less mark than a Successful Dribble in opposition final third. Successful Dribble inside opposition box will earn higher mark, etc. You might also have highest mark allocated to a Successful Dribble of the last defender. You get negative marking in many things. And they carry different weights: Failed/ UNssuccesful pass in your own box Failed/Unssuccesful pass in opposition half Area of the field a player is dispossessed Error leading to a goal. Goal keep error leading to a goal. Empty net missed Penalty missed Clear cut chance missed Half chance missed Duels lost Etc NB: Distance covered is a subjective stat except you break it down to: Distance covered sprinting Distance covered running Distance covered light running Distance covered jogging Distance covered walking There was a time Carrick covered the most distance in many matches, but when taken down, most part was on light movement. A player like Vardy might not cover much ground, but his sprint time might be highest. Whoscored rating is the most objective, if you look at teams rating, you would see Ronaldo, Messi, always toping their teams rating chart season after season. No rating system can be perfect but whoscored is a good guide. |
Kagawa10:There is no difference between Rooney's long balls from what we used to get from Scholes. The difference between the two is short passes, mostly because Scholes uses both feet. Scholes also had 80% of his long passes predictable. Once in a while you get the ones that cut defence open. Just like Rooney used to pick Van Persie. The qualify of the attacking players also help the midfielders to give sexy passes. That pass Rooney gave to Valencia, it would have been a wayward pass if it were Darmian. Also, the pass Rooney gave to RVP to score goal of the season 2012/2013, in that title winning match against Villa, would have been wayward pass if it were Welbeck or Ashley Young that had to strike it. Even Chicha would have brought it down before attempting to score. We used to have Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Bervatov, Nani and Giggs in front of Scholes. Their movement and ball control was very useful to Scholes and Carrick. But now we have kids, and Lingard is among the kids. |
lekkie073:Na wetin be Onyekuzi? |
lekkie073:See the proof in my post above. I have produced that article before together with other materials. But most of you were not paying attention to my arguments because you naturally took side with Coogar. Lol. Although Coogar did not even dispute this aspect. Ukwu!!! |

Whoscored ratings explained: WhoScored.com Ratings are considered to be the most accurate, respected and well-known performance indicators in the world of football. Our ratings are currently used among media giants, bookmakers and football clubs. WhoScored.com Ratings are based on a unique, comprehensive statistical algorithm, calculated live during the game. There are over 200 raw statistics included in the calculation of a player'’s/team’'s rating, weighted according to their influence within the game. Every event of importance is taken into account, with a positive or negative effect on ratings weighted in relation to its area on the pitch and its outcome. An example: An attempted dribble (event) in the opposition’s final third (area of pitch) that is successful (outcome) will have a positive effect on a player's rating. Ratings that are flashing show that an event influencing said rating has just occurred. Green indicates an increase, while red indicates a decrease in rating. *Ratings that are flashing green indicate an increase, while red indicates a decrease in rating. The scoring system for the ratings is out of 10, starting from 6.0, with 10 being the highest score. The ratings are updated live every 30 seconds during the game. Our data providers Opta will update and adjust statistics where necessary 5 minutes after the final whistle. The statistics, and therefore ratings, are also subject to change at anytime after the game, due to any further corrections that need to be made to the statistics. A green star will be awarded to the man of the match 10 minutes after full time. A few minutes after full time our data provider will undergo a review process to improve the accuracy of the statistics, which may result in some stats being corrected/updated. Ratings are also subject to an increase or decrease based on the number of goals a team has scored or conceded, and whether the team has kept a clean sheet at 90 minutes. Such boosts in rating are affected by an individual's playing position and their time on the pitch and will be calculated at full time. ................. Lekkie073, in 2013/2014 season, during the peak of my arguments with Coogar, I placed a laptop in front of me in many matches over several weeks, possibly months. I followed how whoscored rating changed every minute or some seconds, I would see how a new rating flash in relation to an incidence that just took place. That was how I also knew opta many times get their formation wrong. Whoscored correct the formation after 5 minutes into a game, but some other times it just leave it. Cc Kagawa10, Pls read above how whoscored work. |
lekkie073:May be you are new here. I have presented evidence to this effect in past in one of my arguments with Coogar. |
Kagawa10:Rooney's long passes are predictable? Yet he gave a long pass for Martial to score a beautiful goal against Newcastle which analysts said is our best crafted goal of the season. His long pass helped Valencia to set up Rashford to score against Villa. The screen shot, Rooney made the pass from the other end of the field to Valencia. Those long passes help to set Valencia or Martial free to go behind the defence. They help to start our attack from the wing when the front box is clogged...

Kagawa10:Stop saying what you don't know. Whoscored separate passes. A through final pass and a side way pass don't earn same mark. A needless long pass and a long pass that beat defenders don't earn same mark. A pass that lead to a shot earns its own mark (key pass) . The area of pass in the field is also important. Clearance, last man Clearance, goal line Clearance have different marks. Dribbling in midfield and dribbling in opposition box have separate marks. Dribbling a last man to score a goal has more marks than scoring a tap-in. Whoscored has weights for events based on their importance to result of a game, they came up with their criteria based on computer collation of events in football matches over years. |
SailorXY:Harry Kane said Chelsea celebrated as if they won the EPL. |
SailorXY:I wonder. Chelsea wants to own London alone. |
I was so pained that Leicester won the league. Is the EPL trophy now so cheap? However when you consider that Arsenal have been battling to win it since Henry left, you can still see that it is not cheap. |
chrisley024:Dem really yab. Even when they met Leicester in January, they lost. I think it was even White Hart lane. I was one of those who never thought Leicester could push this to the end. I was wrong. |
Fellaini and Lingard were always not anticipating penetrating ground passes from the other players. Martial and Rashford made some good passes in the final third, but lack of anticipation meant Fellaini would be moving a step to the wrong direction. Lingard was also guilty of lack of concentration and proper anticipation in both passing and receiving a pass in the final third. |
Kagawa10:See the ball recovery stat here. Rooney also passed to Rashford and Fellaini who played directly in front of him. But you should know it is hard to penetrate Leicester directly. Rooney passed more through the middle in previous matches, but here Rashford was up against Morgan and those guys who are expert at protecting front of their box. Our goal came from the wing, we could have scored one more from the wing in the first half. As for Rooney's heatmap, put that pitch in there parts and you would know that Rooney played more in the middle of the park. Carrick position also looked advanced because we pressed high on the pitch. Carrick and Rooney operated almost in same zone. If you knew the role Rooney played, you wouldn't complain a bit.
|
Kagawa10:First of all you lied where you said Rooney saw the ball mostly because everyone passed to him. Rooney had the highest number of ball recovery (10 times) in the entire match, that's for both sides. Rooney also passed mostly to Martial, not just Valencia. He changed our direction of play at will. Secondly, Rooney's heat map showed he didn't play the same role as Fellaini. Fellaini sometimes played higher than Rashford. The problem is that you didn't know tactics. Rodney's role was to protect Carrick while Fellaini was to support Rashford or try to bring the ball down in dangerous area for Rashford, Lingard and Martial. There was also the need to make the pace of the game slow to frustrate the speed of Leicester, that was another thing Blind, Carrick and Rooney did. Even against Everton, Rooney explained that at 1-1 Everton were pressing us fast and hard, but he and Carrick decided to bring their experience to slow, control and balance the game in our favour. Rooney was not even really slow yesterday, he drove forward when needed and gave intelligent passes. |
