AdeLaNa1:You need instant success and then build on it. We have the money. So if Vardy can give us 20 goals from January to May it wouldn't worth bringing him to ensure we win the league? Then next season we try upgrade on him or bring players to give him competition? If we didn't buy Blind, Herrera, Rojo, Mata, we wouldn't have finished top four last season. All these buys and Di Maria, Falcao were to get instant success. We are already doing City's blue print. |
lekkie073:We must do something drastic to turn the table around. Look at Barca and Madeis, you will discover such good players they tried and replaced. Even Sanchez. They keep trying and upgrading. |
nyabinghi: In all the writings up and down, I have not been able to establish INTENTION to commit fraud against Babe3. In her case intention behind her actions is what the authorities will be looking at. No one becomes a fraudster by mere coincidence. There is usually a trail and intention to defraud. If everything she had to do with this case is all about recovery her school fees back she will not be going down. - Elampiro owes BinghiNya some money. - BinghiNya calls for his legal money to be paid back by elampiro. - elampiro sends BinghiNya a card and says take your money from here. BigninNya discovers the card is not funded. He cries out. - elampiro sends another card to BinghiNya. Same story. BigninNya is still desperate to recover his legal money. - elampiro sends another card. Then BigninNya becomes even afraid being that the cards are becoming too numerous and being a matter of trial and error to see if there is fund in them. How does the above make BinghiNya a fraudster? Moreover if BigninNya is a fraudster he wouldn't be desperate to collect just $4,000 when he can hang around elampiro to eat free money running into hundreds of thousands dollars in the future. Again, BinghiNya is just reaching 18 years of age which means before now his faculties were not fully developed to understand some complications of life. Now that BigninNya has his faculties developed he can recognised and analyzed certain actions and their consequences, and he's now more aware of the risk surrounding his actions. So he is ready to blow the whistle. What am I saying? Babe3 case is very light and it's further mitigated by a lot of things. In fact except she did some things which we were not told here, she is not going down. My fear is she may have been involved in other things not connected to recovering her school fees. |
This case got messed up by the people who were calling for evidence. It was a simple word for/against word. But some guys provoked those working for Babe3 offline to submit evidence here (online). Now the evidence is out, some of them are saying nairaland is not a law court. That it should be taken off here. Why on earth did they call for evidence in the first place? They are the reason things got so exposed to the public. |
nyabinghi:The truth is if it's what has been written since the case was opened is all Nabe3 did. She will not go down. Excerpt there are more things she did which were not reported here. |
Dadehmola:You have a point. I think too Ronaldo is someone who likes to adventure, so one who likes to conquer new things and new places. The reason he might find France more appealing now than England and Spain. |
funlord:We can always sell. That's how City built their team. They tried many players, they kept the best and sold out the misfit. Jo, Robinho, Adebayo, Lescott, Tevez, Dzeko, Barry, Balotelli, etc. Aguero, Kompany, Toure, Silva, Hart, Zabeleta, survived in the trial and error era. |
nyabinghi:Benzema, Higuain and Ozil were partly to blame. They were too lazy and didn't have the pace to match Ronaldo's speed. This was why Madrid had a great season they had four players who could play at top speed. Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria and Isco. Benzema later upped his speed. Acnelotti made a mistake the next season by trying to play more of possession football. He sold Di Maria who was careless with the ball. Tried to play with more coordination but the players were not all used to that. |
How do you guys see my suggestion of bringing Vardy in January? There's no harm in trying our luck, he won't even be expensive sef. |
nyabinghi:How is he a fraud. Three Ballon D'ors. |
patrickmuf:I think may be is no longer motivated there. That's the problem. Despite this he's always a threat in and around the box. |
MrTA:How can you guys say you don't want Ronaldo back? Someone who will guarantee 25 goals from the wing. Even if it's just three seasons. May be we get Robben in the other end of the wing for one or two seasons. That's enough time to get the young ones to grow. We are going to get inconsistencies from Lingard and Memphis. If I had my way I would even buy Vardy this January. But I don't know if he will gel with the philosophy. We can see our pacing striker who plays like Vardy, Wilson struggles in the perhaps philosophy. If we need instant success we need to spend to bring some world class who can temporarily make among the strongest in Europe. |
sinizia:40m to buy Ronaldo? How una take dey look this ball matter sef? |
PietroRico:Zigzagly. Tearing them apart. |
IlekeHD:Do your part and leave the rest. Seun, the owner of nairaland is not a kid. |
IlekeHD:I see some flaws in your writing but I will only respond to only the bold part above. The authority cannot force him to pay back to Babe3. If Babe3 wants her money though a judicial process, she can sue in civil court. But this case cannot be treated as a civil case once it gets reported to let's say EFCC (in Nigeria) or even the police. It's a criminal case. In criminal case, it's not about refund or payback but about punishment. Jail term and may be forfeiting of assets. Once reported, the case gets investigated by the authorities. An interrogating officer is put on the case. This idea that they only go there to report and show the evidence they got makes me to laugh. The police will extract the evidence themselves, all possible evidence even the ones you are hiding from them. I can bet you that even messages already deleted will be recovered by the police forensic unit. This is not a traffic offense where they book someone and it's just a light case. There was a man who was invited to EFCC for a case, when he returned after about a week, he told us in the office then in 2007 that EFCC took him to one room where they have this reader. They showed him his IP of the devices he was using and the previous ones he had used, they showed him all his text messages even the ones already deleted years before. They checked and checked and even scrutinized his online posts. Eventually they freed him. If they had this in Nigeria in 2007, imagine what they have now, especially in Europe and America. During investigation, the police can decide to also take Babe3 into detection. They might consider bail for them, but in America I think they hardly grant bail for CC fraud. Or they make it very hard to meet the bail terms. At the end the police will charge the case to court after gathering statements, evidences and possible witnesses who can attest they were also victims. The Police decides who to charge and what to charge. How many counts against each accused. They can say they find no case against Babe3 and that's the end. Her case can become light if she is the one reporting to Police instead of the police bursting them. The things Police will be looking at whether to charge Babe3 or not are some of the arguments posted here. Was she trying to recover her school fees from Coogar? Her attempt to use credit cards, did it span across several months? Did she attempt to use credit cards before the school fees Saga? Was she used? Did she also fall victim of scam? Or she willingly participated in crime? The court will again decide whether to grant bail, the conditions or whether to detain the accused in prison as the trial goes on. Let's not forget too, there is a certain Arif who will also be arrested and the information and evidences extracted from him will go along way. After the charge is prepared the case is handed over to a prosecutor who is experienced, and possibly a lawyer in the police force. He presents the case to the magistrate, he calls his witnesses if any and provides his evidence after ensuring they are qualified to be admitted. The police will have to provide one of the victims/owners of the credit cards for the case to really be weighty. The accused will have a chance to defend themselves eventually. But court is not a place you talk like it's a market. One thing about cases is that if you are innocent you have nothing to fear. Although innocent people still go to jail. At the end, among those charged, the magistrates decides who goes home and who doesn't return home and how long he's going to stay away from the comfort of his home. It's not a matter of "you pay me my money" once it's reported to authorities. I do not wish for anyone to go spend dozen of years in jail, I would rather the person change. I know it's painful for those credit cards owners who lost funds. Imagine someone saving money for years from handwork and salary, then he goes to sleep and overnight his years of savings from handwork is wiped out. |
Madrid's sale of Di Maria will be a mistake for a long time to come. Di Maria takes the ball, runs zigzigly through the middle between players, then Ronaldo runs to his left, Bale to his right while Benzema runs forward. One, two... five seconds they are ready to score. Di Maria hardly had a off day. Or let's say, it was impossible for Ronaldo, Di Maria and Bale to have an off day same time. With one playing well, the other two just need to be at 70% of their best and the whole team is geling. Marcelo, Benzema and Bale were not fit for this match. James can be too ordinary. I lsco should have started. |
SIX REDS TO MISS UNITED'S TRIP TO WATFORD Louis van Gaal has a major selection headache ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Watford in the Barclays Premier League with no fewer than six players unavailable for selection. During his exclusive interview with MUTV at the Aon Training Complex on Friday, the manager confirmed Anthony Martial and Michael Carrick both picked up injuries while playing for France and England during the international break, which rules them out of contention this weekend. Wayne Rooney is ill and has been deemed unfit for action, while Antonio Valencia will miss out after undergoing surgery on a foot injury. Marouane Fellaini has not featured since the 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow and the Belgian is still injured, with long-term absentee Luke Shaw also on the sidelines. Speaking to MUTV on Friday, van Gaal said: “I think that everybody knows Michael Carrick and Anthony Martial are injured, but also injured is Fellaini. That's a surprise because I thought he was recovered after the international break, but still he is injured. And that's a big blow because Rooney is ill, so we have a big problem, I think.” Martial was pictured leaving Wembley Stadium on crutches in midweek and France manager Didier Deschamps admitted the player was “in quite a bit of pain”, although van Gaal is optimistic his no.9 will be able to play against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League next Wednesday. “It’s not so heavy as everybody has written in the media, but he cannot play against Watford,” van Gaal told MUTV. “Maybe PSV for Martial but it's not certain, and I think Rooney shall also play then because illness is not something of many days. And Valencia, of course, has been operated on before the international break already, then Shaw, so we have five injured players, and that's a lot.” In the press conference that followed his MUTV interview, van Gaal gave another positive update on Carrick: "Michael is also not a heavy injury, he shall be playing much quicker than everybody has written." One player who may deputise for Rooney or Martial is James Wilson. The manager added in his MUTV interview: “Wilson is okay after the international break. He can play but he cannot play a whole match because he doesn't have the rhythm of the game.” www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2015/Nov/Injury-update-on-Anthony-Martial-ahead-of-Watford-match.aspx?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=ManUtd |
Rooney why injured? Now I thought you will begin to build on your form. |
BABE3: Babe3 I just saw this thread now and I have only read the first ten pages. I must say I feel for you. I don't know how this can be resolved once and for all. I think you made a serious mistake. You took a heavy risk. You attempted to transact with fraudulent credit cards (may be innocently) . And you have/had no financial or business relationship with the owners of the cards. If the owners had raised alarm you would have been captured first, and you would need plenty of explanation to make. And may be the real perpetrators would have been on the run. Now it looks to me Coogar is saying he has nothing to do with those cards and as well denied the transactions you were attempting to consummate with them. According to Coogar you doctored your conversation with him. The only thing he had to do with you apart from romance was to get you repay the debt you owed him. Coogar also claims that his relationship with Arif is purely legitimate. Arif helps him to settle some bills or bails him out sometimes. So what he implied was that if Arif's used stolen credit cards to make payments he (Coogar) wouldn't know. What you don't know is that this whole saga is already taking a legal shape. You need to look at the broader picture and consider whether to go ahead with any court action. Look at it: (1) You had transactions to settle with Coogar. The cards sent to you was there no pop-up name to verify if they were really for Coogar? Why did you not request he transferred the money into your account? I am not blaming you too much but you should prepare your own defense. (2) What did you think Arif was to Coogar? (3) Now to the allegation that you doctored or photoshop the conversations between you and Coogar. That's a small thing in court. It wouldn't take a week for forensic experts to verify the authenticity of those conversation and attest to the court. If you did not doctor them, then that's where your lawyer will have to ascertain if you were used in this alleged fraudulent transactions. Yes, I saw in your conversation screnshots, you actually made some soft probes about the cards. May be soft because of love. (4) Apart from this issue of school fees, did you involve yourself with any other purported stolen card transactions? Did you participate in sharing the proceed? Was proceed from such paid to your account? I am not talking about boyfriend's gift to a girl. (5) If you came out clean, it could be said you were scammed. This is because someone owed you money, instead of paying you back, he kept sending you different unfunded cards, giving you excuses and abusing you to frustrate you. Finally, you people should know what you are going into. I don't know if I understood the case well but I wrote based on the little I understood. I hardly know you on nairaland but I have seen this moniker a couple of times. I know Coogar very well in sports section. As I said earlier, with a little bit of humility from my sports guy Coogar, this thing would have been resolved since. You guys can't tell the extent this can go once escalated. The best is for it to be resolved. Babe3 you have to pray one of those stuff that you involved in would not raise an ugly head tomorrow. That no complaints should come up. If this story is true, anyone involved in things like this should repent. I said it before and I say it again. It's nothing to be proud of. |
It will be nice if Rooney can keep improving like this. He has been improving since CSKA match at Old Trafford.
|
That Alli really played well from midfield. The through pass to Sterling after winning the ball was fine, and it led to the second goal. |
Nihilist:That's a fact. You cannot use a lone striker to compare someone who played in the attacking midfield. At Everton he had two or three established strikers ahead of him. At United he had Smith and Nistelrooy ahead of him. He initially started from the wing on his arrival before he was later moved behind a striker. Later he had to play behind Saha, Tevez. At best he was in a fluid three. His striking time was very much limited. |
I think Rooney enjoyed a good game today. He played in the left wing but occasionally changed position with Sterling who was on the right. At the end it looked like a fluid three AMs behind Kane as neither Rooney nor Sterling played as a traditional winger. Rooney could have made it one nil after good movement to send the defender the wrong way but his shot from just outside the box was narrowly wide. Shortly he gave an Assist for Alli's goal. Then made good runs to find space for himself in the box a couple of times but his teams mates were always head buried. Finally Sterling was able to pick him with a cross and Rooney arriving had his first time shot too hot for the keeper to stop. Kudos to the Three Lions. I think they have a strong team. Since becoming captain, Rooney has not lost a game when started. |
Nihilist:Lukaku played as a lone striker. Rooney played mostly behind a striker, even had time in the wing. |
Lukaku is 22 years? E be like say no be only Africans dey do age cheat. |
coogar:I have been on nairaland since 2005. |
Coogar has disciples sha. No matter what he writes, even when he uses heavy abusive words, cus words, they will still click like on the post. To me that's shocking. |
Nihilist:Your last paragraph. I am one of those who welcome him back (to football analysis). I am not his enemy. I am just a rival on sports debate. There is a bitter rivalry between us. If there are people welcoming him and at same time working behind the scene to take him down, then they are hypocrites. But this thread with Chinese letters. It's running faster than one can follow. |
coogar:You welcome back to football analysis. |
It's unfortunate things that have happened in the past few days. It's always reasonable to give one benefit of doubt and fair hearing. I actually thought the accused would defend himself latest yesterday Monday. We Nigerians should learn to appreciate hard work and genuine struggle. Why am I saying this? A situation where a student mocks a Masters Degree holder because he said he organises Jamb, Weac lessons, should be discouraged. That's a poor mentality. Imagine asking such question as "is that all you do for a living?" We need to develop positive attitude and encourage humble beginnings. We were not all lucky to be born into a wealthy family. Someone who appears to have struggled against all odds to acquire some degrees that will better his future should not be ridiculed. In 10-15 years time, that person might be a Professor or even a University VC. Even if one is a phone repairer, there should be no shame about that. No body is perfect, we all learn humility everyday. I could also have fallen into the temptation of mocking people. There is another temptation of bulying people with your wealth. But the correct thing is to praise people with genuine enterprenuering spirit and those contribution positively to the economy. As for anyone who may have made a mistake, it's not always late to begin anew from a genuine humble point. When a man falls, he dust himself and begins anew by avoiding the road that led him to down fall. He that is down fears no fall. Do not say "a whole me how can I be a store attendant? How can I be a sales man? How can I be a cleaner ? ". Yes you can for it's just a starting point. Ten years on, you would be glad you took the first step. The wide fast road that appears to lead to success almost always certainly leads to disasters. How can one go to sleep comfortably when you know one knock on the door from the police might be a long long time away from ones home. I am not saying anyone is guilty but a word they say is enough for the wise. |
