And who told you Fergie gave Woody the hair dryer treatment? No one knows what transpired between them. Meanwhile, same Fergie that resigned without a good succession plan, you want us to trust someone that imposed a clueless Moyes on the club? Abeg abeg, let us face our focus and leave baba to enjoy his retirement.
If you give OGS three years, with or without his transfer targets, we won't make top 7 in those 3 years. Woodward is the reason this club is not finished. He has done his part in revenue generation and fund provision. People forgot we bought Falcao Di Maria, Blind, Rojo in one window while we still had Rooney and Van Persie. Mata was also in the team then when he came in as Chelsea player of the year twice. We bought Pogba, bought Lukaku. |

The fact is this, current players can make top 4. To harness their potentials, we need a new manager. Let's adopt Real Madrid and Chelsea's style, it guarantees trophies. We will continue to sink with this approach of giving someone time and money to get it right. It's BS. This is not Fergie era!
Get another manager, give him less than 100m to add players to the current squad, let's see what he can do in 1/2 years, if there are no improvements, sack the fuvker and look for another coach.

ChristineC: the best managers are the fans with mouth. most times it's difficult to compliment the manager in areas he's improved because you get accused of rewarding mediocrity.
Jones inclusion in the team was a mistake. some people still have faith in the lad but for me it's a waste of time, he should have left instead of Smalling.
Ole was brave enough to correct that straight out the tunnel and I like the fact he's learning on the job. his last sub was a good idea but he didn't have the right personnel. Fans are just criticizing in hindsight because it didn't work but a Matic would have slowed the game to shits and frustrated the opponents. Tuanzebe didn't have the match fitness, and more importantly the experience. Better for Jones to go to where he can play regular football. He is now under pressure to prove himself. The coach appeared to have taken a decision to relegate Jones and Smalling even before he arrived. It seems to be a similar thing that happened to Lukaku. Ole prefers defenders who can use the ball and are calm even when the sky is falling on them. So he forgives their numerous mistakes while using body language to highlight the mistakes of those he doesnt like. May be if Jones played to the end, we would not have conceded 3 goals. Every defender with his own strength and weakness. In the second goal we conceded, Maguire was retreating to avoid being beaten instead of comfronting. The third goal, he left space while Tuanzebe was runing to already crowdes place. |

If I start arguing about Jones now, they will say I argue. I have not called for Jones to be included in the starting eleven. The fact that I keep defending Maguire and the defence meant I was not calling for Jones. So why do some guys call my name when Jones makes a mistake. Funny enough, our defenders have been making individual mistakes, and I never came to crucify Maguire or Lindelof or Rojo.
That said, our attackers have been our problem. But today the defenders were the problem, the first and third goals were defenders errors. Jones wanted to make a back pass (careless attitude) while Magurie did not close down his man. Jones has this love for back passes to DDG. May be it is time he went to a club he can play regular football for his own sake. He has not matured after a decade at United.
If our forwards keep creating and scoring as they did today, teams will be afraid to come at us.
We missed McTominay. He is our best player.

In most of our games, we have hardly looked threatening with labored effort just to create a chance. The comments here after each game week can attest to that. Is there a different yardstick for measuring chances created for other teams? For once accept that the attackers are the major problem. It strikes if threatened and some like the Black Mamba, which is the snake captured on the picture would strike out at the slightest provocation or perceived threat. You dont even have to step on it, just your movement gets it startled. That is how many have died. Abeg kill snakes when you see them. They are enemies |
Science/Technology › Re: I Saw This Snake And I Didn't Kill It. by elampiro(m): 3:13pm On Nov 12, 2019 |
grandstar: Snakes rarely attack humans and when they do, it is fear based aggression, simply to protect itself. It is scared of you。 Though the exact number of snake bites is unknown, an estimated 5.4 million people are bitten each year with up to 2.7 million envenomings. Around 81 000 to 138 000 people die each year because of snake bites, and around three times as many amputations and other permanent disabilities are caused by snakebites annually. Bites by venomous snakes can cause paralysis that may prevent breathing, bleeding disorders that can lead to a fatal haemorrhage, irreversible kidney failure and tissue damage that can cause permanent disability and limb amputation. Agricultural workers and children are the most affected. Children often suffer more severe effects than adults, due to their smaller body mass.
...... Do you mean all these millions of people left their homes to attack snakes in the bush, and that is why they were bitten? |

afrodoc2: [/b] I did not say Ole should play all the youth players. A few of them have been putting in good to great performances at youth and reserve level and have been identified by the club as players with potential. They should be given the opportunity to prove themselves.
The same SAF gave Luke Chadwick 25 EPL games before sending him away. He gave Ronnie Wallwork almost 20 EPL games before sending away. Jonathan Greening got over 10 games and even made the squad for the 1999 UCL final but within 2 years he was sent packing.
Fletcher got so many games despite struggling, with people claiming SAF was using Scottish quota to pick him before he came good.
Frank Lampard struggled initially at West Ham with people claiming that he got into the squad because his uncle was manager and his father was assistant.
If you say you believe in a set of youth players it is nonsensical to claim that after a few minutes of football they are no longer good or should be discarded.
I don't know which player of this set (if any) will make it at United but so far this season they have not had enough opportunity. It is not every player who gets that long trial or left to be a squad player. McTominay might end up being like Fletcher and people who dont know the real history will say he was given a long time. We remember the case of Fabio too. Compare Fabio vs Brutner (if I still remember his name) |

If a player is good but has a coach that lacks the requisite ability to bring out the best in him, the player suffers.
If a player cannot adapt/interprete the instructions of the coach, the coach looks bad.

How many THOUSANDS of minutes did you guys give Fred and Alexis Sanchez (seasoned pros) again? But you guys want young players stepping up from youth football to hit the ground running like Chidi Imoh. How many minutes did SAF give Bebe, Tosic, and dozena of academy players? Coaches mostly see what they want in just few minutes. You cannot put Sanchez in this kind of argument. World class players are given time. Playing a youngster a total of less than 2 games is not giving him opportunity. Ole had better rest the entire first 11 for those remaining Europa League games. codedguy1: Then he is using his brain. Why are those 2 not doing it. Is that not what I said earlier that he processes instructions better than those 2. If Ole has instructed him to hug the line and whip in crosses do you think the opposing coach will not also instruct his team to counter it. It then means James still finds a way to achieve what he wants to do unlike those 2 who probably continue to do the same thing and ones the defenders knows what they have been told he then neutralizes them and that's why we have been complaining about their inconsistencies even here.
James has been consistent while those 2 have not been. If we agree they both receive instructions from the same coach, why does James seem to always find a way with different teams while those 2 continue to blow hot and cold. This is not how a coach instructs players. No coach will just say hug the touchline. Coaches build players to adapt to different situations. However, some players dont learn fast. Someone who has been poor in decision making will not change overnight. |

Even when the team is playing rubbish as a whole James has somehow been able to single himself out. Does it not mean that Rashford and Martial are poor learners? The two players Ole bought have improved our overall play. Some of the kids promoted from academy are also showing sign of consistency. McTominay (although promoted by Mourinho) and William. Is it not logical to say Ole is capable of building a new brand United when he eventually assembled new players in at least 7 positions? |
